As a show of force the skilled combatant whips his razor sharp blades through a nearby tree, toppling it with ease. He may not have been given too high a danger rating, but that didn't mean this would be a walk in the park...

Battle commences, Kita eagerly rushing in to land the first blow. Fist aflame, the Chimchar shrieks valiantly as he lands a scorching blow to the green, leathery skin of Grovyle, the reptile grimacing as he staggers right. As he connects, the salvo unleashed by Lemmy lands, violently exploding to send the gecko back the way he came. Screeching indignance, Grovyle can only watch in pained contemplation as another artillery of sludge packed bombs explodes over his chest, before Brainy adds insult to injury, burrowing a pair of poisoned coated barbs in the skin of Grovyle. The boss rages in agony, his bloodstream suddenly tarnished by toxins. Seeking his revenge, he performs a strangely enchanting dance, empowering himself for the following assault - a hail of rocky debris, jagged projectiles scraping harshly against the gathered Raiders.

Lemmy unloads a compact salvo of orbs, the explosive material splashing sludge on the ground as they rupture one of the shimmering barriers. Kita takes a leaf out of his target's book, growin to an immense size and unleashing a devastating Max Flare. Though the sun does not intensify, the bulwark has been breached, and Slowking takes gleeful advantage with a Sludge Bomb. Brainy follows suit, relying once more on a barrage of tiny missiles. Grovyle shrinks away, clearly wounded - but a beast is most dangerous when cornered. Awash in fulminating brown energies, the lizard strikes a decisive Max Quake on Slowking, sending him for an early bath. Buoyed by this, Grovyle opts for something a little more unreliable, and is quickly brought back down to Earth as his swinging Dynamic Punch misses the mark.

Lemmy again leads the charge with an explosive display of Sludge Bombs, backing Grovyle into a corner. With a scowling expression the Grass type summons his shields - and this is the cue for the others. Brainy strikes with a compacted barrage of spines, striking four times but unfortunately shattering only a single shield, her efforts cheered on decisively. Kita brings up the rear by discharging yet another Max Flare, destroying the remaining barriers. The Raiders are then again subjected to a horrifying tumbling hail, the jagged debris burying their Pokemon - and as Lemmy emerges from the rubble, a humongous foot hammers painfully into him, smashing him into a nearby tree and ending his resistance temporarily.

With a jubilant backdrop of cheering, Kita musters one final intense Max Flare, scorching Grovyle intensely and summoning a powerful sun. Slowking and Brainy follow suit, each landing visibly devastating blows - but Grovyle strikes back just as strongly. A Max Quake tears venomously at the carapace of Brainy, leaving her just barely clinging onto life, while a Mega Kick rattles the very bones of Kita before he shrinks back to normal size.

Sensing the blood in the water, Lemmy returns to the fray, grinning dopily as he showers his target with another salvo of Sludge Bombs. Brainy chirps as she unleashes a pair of Pin Missiles, and Kita raises his fist to the sky. Flame burns intensely around his clenched hand, and with a shrieking roar of determination he lunges, the singeing strike finally felling his reptilian adversary. Grovyle wails with ungodly misery as he shrinks, slinking back into the shadowy recesses of the Wilds.

For their efforts in defeating Grovyle, the Raiders are awarded the following:
