Tyranitar Champion's Ranch

The Champion's Ranch

Putting his retirement money to good use, Glen established a ranch, designed specifically to cater for Pokemon of all types. His grandson Xander often comes to the ranch for training, or sends his Pokemon here when they are not on his person. Other travellers are welcome here as well, its not often you get the opportunity to train with an ex-League Champion!

The Homestead
An old fashion homestead for an old fashion man, the building can sleep up to 10 people if necessary. Along with the general house fixtures, Glen also has a healing machine, the same you would find in a Pokemon Center.

Normal Area
Surrounding the homestead is a field of pure green grass, stretching out until it meets a ring of trees, creating a natural barrier. Wild flowers poke up haphazardly through the green blanket, providing spots of colour across the otherwise monotone field.

Grass Area
The edge of the forest makes for the perfect spot for Grass Pokemon. There is plenty of space between the trees, allowing a plentiful amount of sunlight to filter through the crisp green leaves. Vines hang from branches, shrubs and bushes sprout out from the ground, all courtesy of the rich and nutritious soil.

Water Area
A river flows down the western edge of the ranch, starting at the mountains and flowing down to the sea. Not only does the river give ocean access, but it allows both fresh water and salt water Pokemon to thrive.

Fire Area
After a fair bit of searching, Glen managed to find a volcanic cavern deep below the mountains. By relieving some of the pressure he managed to redirect some of the magma above ground, creating the perfect hot spot for fire Pokemon.

Flying Area
A large old tree clinging to the mountainside creates the perfect roost for Flying Pokemon. The winds higher up the mountain make for easy flying while the height also gives an excellent vantage point.

Ground Area
East of the Fire Area, the ground is soft and rich, making it excellent for Ground type Pokemon. As you move further south however, the soft rich soil gives way to dry sand, accommodating those ground type Pokemon who prefer a sandy environment.

Rock Area
North of the Ground Area, the mountainside is rich in ores, making it a hotspot for Rock types. Small caverns pocket the mountainside, provide ample shelter from the elements. Stalagmites and Stalactites are littered around the caverns, creating by moisture leeching through the calcium rich rock.

Electric Area
An open field nestled in the middle of the forest, Glen built a large lightning rod to draw in the electricity from storms. Coupled with the addition of some electromagnetic rocks he had shipped over from the Unova region, the field makes an excellent home for Electric type Pokemon.

Psychic Area
A creek trickles off from the river, passing by a perfectly kept zen garden. The peace and tranquillity in this part of the ranch allows Psychic Pokemon to better focus on their energy, which flows through the earth and through every living thing.

Bug Area
A damp, overcrowded section of the forest alongside the river creates a Bug type's delight. Plenty of fallen logs, dying trees and ample shade make for the perfect bug habitat.

Fighting Area
Glen had a part of the forest cleared in order to create an outdoor gym for Fighting Pokemon. Exercise equipment fills the clearing, but the main feature is the sturdy boxing/wrestling ring positioned in the middle of the clearing.

Poison Area
Easily the hardest to accommodate, the Poison Area had to be constructed. Glen had a pond built in an otherwise unused area of the ranch and let the Poison Pokemon do the work. Overtime the pond became polluted and the surrounding plants became sickly, but the Poison types still seem to enjoy it.

Fairy Area
A large cavern in the mountains is the go to home for Fairy Pokemon. Likely due to the large moonstone half buried in the middle of the cavern, as well as the bright luminescent mushrooms that seem to only grow in this cavern.

Ghost Area
When he built the new homestead, Glen saw an opportunity to put the original to good use. Having not been lived in for decades, the old homestead is perfect for ghost types, who can get up to all their usual ghost antics in the cobweb filled old house.

Dark Area
In a far corner of the ranch where the forest meets the mountainside, the trees grow so close together that no sunlight can penetrate. That leaves the ground bare and devoid of life. If you follow the path, you'll also find a tunnel leading deep underground where no light has ever reached.

Steel Area
Further up the mountain is an old iron dump, a source of food and recreation for Steel types. The rock here is rich in iron, creating a magnetic field which draws Steel Pokemon here.

Ice Area
A cavern on the highest peak plays home to Ice type Pokemon, the snow covered peak giving them the natural cold they desire. Icicles hang from the cavern's ceiling while thick snow drifts cover the floor, making it a winter wonderland.

Dragon Area
Caverns in the mountains between the Fire Area and the river to the west make for the perfect Dragon lairs. Those preferring the warmth take up residence in the caves closer to the warmth of the Fire Area, while those preferring a colder, wetter environment live closer to the river.
