You'll probably want to be careful around here though, as even the Springtime Pyukumuku treats this area with care not to offend the reverant beings depicted.

At first, it doesn't seem like you're going to find any eggs hidden away here. The astute lack of hiding places means that the eggs are far more well hidden than usual, and the Springtime Pyukumuku is very good at this. However, with some dedicated searching, you end up finding an egg hidden away in an alcove next to the shrine of Solgaleo.

The egg is fairly nondescript; a plain white egg with a bright, orange star like marking in the middle. That doesn't seem to be a big clue at first, but the egg seems to be lovingly wrapped in a variety of leaves, obviously meant to keep it warm should it need to be. An act of wisdom, that is. However, it seems that the egg is now covered in a bit of slime...maybe the Springtime Pyukumuku isn't as careful as it likes to think.

Will you take the egg, intelligently wrapped in leaves?
"Er..." Heather said as she examined her find. "This...doesn't look like an Electric Type, that's for certain." she concluded, gently placing the Egg back in its hiding spot. "But even then, I just got...a weird vibe from that thing. I think we should look somewhere else."

"Told you so." Grace said pridefully, eliciting a glare from her Trainer that she wouldn't soon forget. Leaving the shrine with a bow of respect, Heather made for her next destination...

"Oh c-c-come on! R-Really!?" Grace chattered as Heather carefully navigated the Ice Caverns. The Emolga was shivering, but her Trainer seemed to be doing just fine in the cold, despite having dressed, well, rather lightly for such an excursion.

"If we don't find an Electric Type here, maybe we'll find something a bit more appealing, at least!" she retorted. "Besides, there's more places for something to hide here." she added. "So we should be out of here pretty quickly, assuming we don't find another one of those eggs from the Shrine..." Heather began looking around in the various nooks and crannies, while Grace decided ot hide in Heather's Bag for warmth.

While the Springtime Pyukumuku is a gentle soul, even its rather annoyed at the shear amount of chaos as the day progresses. It almost can't vomit out eggs fast enough! Almost is the key word, but an ounce of preparation is worth a pound of work. That is the wisdom of the Springtime Pyukumuku.

You find yourself in the flowerbed gardens, and its very easy to see why this is the case. Flowers are in boom everywhere, in a wide variety of colors and varieties. Even with the crowd of people looking for eggs, the smell of the flowers could manage to instill calm in even the wildest of beasts. Maybe that's why you don't see the egg before you trip over it. The egg doesn't seem that abnormal, and...that's all you can tell. No wait, it just moved. There also seem to be some small splotches of color on it: red, yellow, purple, and pink. Upon closer inspection, you can see the egg is actually moving rather rhythmically, almost as if its dancing...but the odd thing is, the rhythm seems to alternate. It's almost like it can't decide what it wants to dance too!

What will you do?
Jeri wasn't particularly happy about tripping over an egg. Once he got a good look at it, he was even more put off by it - why was this egg moving? It seemed like a rather poor choice to pick up anything unhatched that was actively moving and shaking, especially so erratically. Though the flowers were nice, the throngs of people and the strange, shaking eggs made him uncomfortable, and he was starting to get a little frustrated. Leaving the strange egg be, he pulled out his map again and looked to see if he could find somewhere even more remote, where he might not be bothered. He located what looked to be caves - those might be a better bet!

Jeri just about instantly regretted his decision. There were far less people, sure, but it was pretty counterproductive to be spending your tropical vacation in freezing cold caves. He shivered. He hoped that this trip was worth it. He figured if he was already here, he might as well make the trip worth it by hunting for one of those eggs.

"it made his kokoro go doki doki"

Abandoned Beach House

The sun shined brightly. The scent of the salty sea was carried ashore by a gentle breeze. A symphony of chirping Nincada emanated from a distant forest. By all accounts, the weather was perfect. Except it was hot. Too hot.

It had been a while since Hiero had been to the ocean. Given the proximity to the nearby beach following his reinstatement as a Pokemon Trainer, he figured now was the perfect time (and place) to start his new adventure.

What he failed to account for was the heat.

"Good grief. How was I supposed to know the Pokemon Center's thermometer measured in Celsius and not Fahrenheit?"

"Kkyu."

"Yes, Pera, I know it's an outdated system that almost nobody uses anymore, but you can't blame me for my upbringing!"

"..."

"Alright, fine, I get it, I get it..."

Hiero wiped his brow and took a sip from his water bottle. He had forgotten sunscreen, too. 'Way to be prepared, genius'. He poured what little was left over his forehead. He pinched his nose out of irritation and twisted the cap back onto the bottle.

'If only there were somewhere nearby we could take shelter in from this morbid heat, but there's nothing but sand for as far as the eye can see...'

Hiero sighed and opened his eyes. He blinked. And he blinked again. 'What...?' He blinked three more times. He struggled to comprehend what he was seeing. It was as if, out of nowhere, a rather large beach house had manifested itself not one hundred yards in front of him. It was quaint, and somewhat charming, but something about this place gave Hiero an instant feeling of queasiness. Maybe he just wasn't paying attention? Maybe he was so lost in thought that he had managed to completely miss the fact that there was a god-damned beach house right in front of him. It wouldn't be the first time he had been so shamelessly absent minded...

"Kkyukk."

"I see it too. I just... it wasn't there a moment ago, was it?"

"Mim."

"Well, I suppose we don't have much choice. And look, the door's wide open. That seems... rather oddly inviting. Isn't this how most horror movies start?"

"..."

"Well, whatever - I suppose it can't hurt to at least check it out, can it?"

"..."

"We're a long way from the harbor, and if we want to take some sort of shelter, we don't really have much choice. I hope this place is at least air conditioned..."

The heat was just an excuse. He knew it, and Mimikyu knew it. If he really wanted to cool down, he could easily summon his Spheal to fix that problem. No, that wasn't what this was about. It was about that feeling, that uneasy feeling in his stomach coupled with the intense sense of curiosity - it made his heart pound against his chest. The corner of his mouth curled eagerly and his eyebrow twitched. This was what he had been waiting for - no, looking for.

Hiero and Noppera increased their pace and swiftly advanced toward the beach house.

You fear that an egg or two might have been swept away by the water, but never fear! The Springtime Pyukumuku is wise, and would never put one its egg's in harm's way. Your Woobat takes to the sky to look around, sending out pulses of sound so she could use her senses to find an egg by listening to the echo. For a while, it seems like she is coming up empty too, but she finally finds one, squeaking to you to tell you to follow her. You do, and you cross a couple of shallow pools until you find one that is a bit deeper.

The egg gives you a little bit of pause, however, because its clearly under the water, and oddly shaped. It almost doesn't look like an egg at all, and in fact looks more like a ball of silk that was plunged under water. It hangs just below the water's surface, bobbing as you step inside the pool to look at it further. You wonder what the egg is made out of, as it has a consistency of silk at a further glance as well. But silk gets wet! The egg should have been soaked through, but isn't. And its only when you get closer do you find another clue; its actually trapped in an air bubble. Maybe the egg made it itself as the thing inside breathed, or maybe it was furnished that way by a caring mother?

What will you do?
Ami was starting to lose hope that she'd find any eggs this high from the ocean, though the wondrous nature of the river made it difficult for to get frustrated. A quick pokedex check before embarking on this journey had told her that the Springtime Pyukumuku was a sea-dwelling creature with hardly a limb to its name, so it made even more sense that wouldn't put anything here than it did before...

"Woo, oo! Wooba~!" Ami looked up in surprise as Nadie started calling in excitement. "Did you find something, Nadie?" she called out to the bat pokemon. He chattered even excitedly and took off further downstream without a second thought as to how his trainer could keep up with him over the rugged shoals. "Hey, can you please slow down a bit!" Naturally, he ignored her pleas.

After a few minutes of rapid scrambling later, the human finally reached the surprisingly large eddie Nadie had started circling. She cautiously peered into the waters, searching as she caught her breath. "Um... are you talking about that ball...?" Nadie did a little dance in response, causing his trainer to heave a sigh of exasperation. She laid her backpack on the rocks and reluctantly stepped into the pool for closer inspection. "Aaaugh, that's cold!" Ami called out in shock, but she quickly got over it and waded over to the peculiar sphere.

And peculiar it indeed was. It appeared to be silken from all venues but two: it's shape was off point to be just a ball of silk of any kind, and it appeared, well... not at all wet. "How can something be in water and not be wet...?" Ami mused as she gave the thing a soft poke. It didn't seem like she touched the orb at all- rather, her finger made an indent in some sort of membrane indent a bit on contact before sending the whole thing drifting a bit closer to 'shore' without a bit of harm. "Oh, I see! That's actually kind of neat!" She looked up to the woobat that was still flying circles overhead due to having nowhere to rest out in the open like this. "Excellent work, Nadie! I'd say you found a keeper!" Nadie gave a squeak of relief, satisfied at last that he didn't give a false positive or anything along those disappointing lines.

~ ~ ~

Ami recalled her trusty companion to let him rest and spent the next bit of time lazily swimming in the pool. Sure, she wanted to to go down to
the market, but she didn't want to see if taking her find out of the water would cause any harm to the youngling within. Besides, it was kind of refreshing to feel the cool water on her scars. Anything that could naturally make them less painful was A-okay in her book, after all!

(OOC: In case it somehow wasn't clear, I'm taking this egg with me. Thank you~!)

You can cut all the flowers but you cannot keep Spring from coming.

134 – What Tate lacks in refined tree-climbing skills, they more than make up for in enthusiasm for the hunt. The bird keeper senses that some avian eggs might be perched atop this canopy, and given the subtle hints – cries in the distance, stray feathers here and there – it's entirely possible that intuitive sense is correct. Could the Springtime Pyukumuku have climbed up all the way here? Had it the capacity to fashion its innards into makeshift wings? Baffling questions.

Upon reaching the top of the canopy, and an initial cursory search of the area reveals nothing particularly of interest, save for a rather delicious-looking pile of berries typical of tropical forests – however, on slightly closer inspection, said pile of berries contains one “fruit” that is entirely too large. How odd – it smells like a berry, even looks like a berry. Could this possibly be an egg? It was certainly no avian species to Tate's knowledge. Perhaps locating a bird's offspring would take further searching...

Will you investigate, or continue your search?

Missingno. Master – After disembarking from the Banette's Revenge and leaving Peeves to guard his prized vessel, Keith Masters and his trusty talking Meowth begin their search for an Alolan egg, after a brief discussion of Fizzytopian politics and the new Elite Four. It was true that there were only three of them, but who could deny the charm of “Elite Four” when speaking of the current leadership? Regardless of their number, they had provided an open invitation for trainers to travel to Springtide Isle for a festive egg hunt, and Keith was more than happy to answer the call in search of a new friend.

The beachfront stretches on for at least a mile, and yet the prospect of combing it seems entirely less daunting considering how warm and inviting the sands are, how gentle the breeze is, how blue and perfect the sky – not a cloud to be seen. The waves tumble softly over the sand, inviting the creatures of the coast to take a dive. Of course, Keith knows better than to jump in the water right away – especially when something unusual seems to be poking out of the sand directly in front of him. Indeed, had Keith not been looking at the right moment, the discovery might have utterly slipped passed him. At first, it appears like an egg-shaped mound of sand, sculpted as a ruse, but on closer inspection, it is indeed a perfectly camouflaged egg. There is something decidedly odd about it, and yet, it looks to be quite at home here.

Will you pick up the egg, or continue your search?

PikaGod – On a journey of reinvention and on the hunt for the perfect perfume, Melody braves the tangled canopy (and tangled hair) to find that perfect scent. What better place to search than the Berry Tree Canopy, with its many and varied fruit aromas, accented by the deep, woody smell of the trees and leaves? The nose knows – and what better way to sniff out a new companion than to keep one's olfactories on high alert? Even when nails are snapping off at the cuticles – even when beauty is at its most painful – one must forge on.

Melody's nose catches a whiff of a soft, grassy scent, coming from one of the tree hollows. Following this scent leads to the discovery of a tan-colored egg, lying in a small bird's nest deep in the hollow. In fact, it would be difficult to tell that this egg was actually part of the hunt were it not for the bit of slime still clinging to the shell from the Springtime Pyukumuku.

Will Melody pick up this egg, or will her search for the perfect scent lead elsewhere?

Deebs- A man and his adorable owl companion search the Seaside Waterfalls for eggs. As DB waxes poetic about the soul-enhancing properities of the waterfalls, Niles the Rowlet remains polite, but focused on the objective at hand. His owl eyes seem focused on the thicket, while DB decides to investigate by the water.

Surprisingly enough, despite lacking the keen senses of his partner, DB is the first to locate something of interest; a smooth, deep blue egg, submerged in the water. In fact, the egg probably would not have noticed the perfectly camouflaged egg had it not emitted a small, balloon-shaped pocket of air, which floated up to the surface, popping in DB's face. The Springtime Pyukumuku does its best, but some eggs simply have minds of their own – in the presence of certain trainers, they may make themselves known regardless. Perhaps this little bub agrees with DB's mother's opinion regarding the properties of the air here...?

Will DB and Niles plunge into the depths to retrieve this egg, or search elsewhere?

Naruxami – Elka had chosen a place to search where she would be out of eyeshot and earshot of the crowds that would inevitably gather elsewhere; she wanted none of their sympathy. Elka was nobody's tragedy – she would strive to victory regardless of what others thought of her chances. In fact, she could look to the positive side of the physical obstacles she faced – her friendship with little Pascal, a service Pokemon in her care. Eager to explore the abandoned beach house, Elka gently pulls her companion's harness in the desired direction. Though Pascal is quite understandably hesitant to enter the abandoned abode, Elka will not ignore the feeling that she is being called to the place, and urges him forward. If the Springtime Pyukumuku could bounce about in this place, certainly it couldn't be that dangerous... right?

The entryway of the beach house leads right into the living room, with its lovely wicker chairs, driftwood tables and ocean themed décor. The grinning faces in lovely colored photographs seem to grow pale at the sight of visitors. One of the chairs appears to be stained slightly in a deep burgandy – wine, more than likely, given the presence of an empty, overturned glass on the table nearby. The glass eerily begins to move (of its own volition, or in response to your arrival disturbing the air?) and crashes on the floor – the reverberations cause what appears to be a black egg with red stripes to roll out from under the chair. The egg wiggles in protest – it, too, appears to have wished to avoid the eyes and ears of others, and seems rather miffed to have been ousted.

Will Elka claim this egg, or continue her search?

myahoo – Spring was always a time of growth and change, but this Spring in particular had been a shocking jolt of life, with no shortage of chaos. It was a lot for Melissa to process, and a great deal more to consider when thinking of the long term, but in the meantime, the lure of Alolan eggs was sufficient to bring her out of her base and straight to Springtide Isle with her companions – one of fire, and one of clouds – to the nature trails. After all, the new administration had made sure that plenty of eggs were hidden – even going so far as to procure the services of a foreign representative to ensure that the eggs were properly delivered. Some kind of weird innard-vomiting creature with taped-on bunny ears...

Regardless of the mode of delivery, Melissa makes her way down the path, musing at how the eggs would be painted. As the trio search, Cirrus suddenly lets out a chirp to alert his companions, pointing a cloudy wing towards the Southwest. In following the little bird's directions, it soon becomes clear what caught his attention; off the beaten path, beneath the tall grass, is a ring of short, pink and white flowers. An egg matching this coloration hides among them, and yet is nowhere near as serene and calming as the presence of the blossoms in which it hides; in fact the sound of hard kicking can be heard against the shell the moment Melissa approaches. Sounds like this one might be a fighter...

Will Melissa try to approach the egg, or continue her search?

ABL – Nothing like a deep stretch and a warm puppy to wake one from stiff slumber – after all, even the deepest aches can be soothed by the love of our companions. Not sure where her mind has been, or where she's going next, ABL figures that none of it really matters – hers is not to question why, right now. Better to focus on the present – the more basic needs of the body – before addressing the questions of the soul.

Confident that Karma will support her as she moves forward, ABL follows the scent of delicious snacks to the first vendor stall along the Harborside Market walkway, and – what luck! The tempura vegetable stand is front and center, advertising delicious fried broccoli, zucchini and sweet potato with homemade sauce. What a wonderful place to get some grub!

At least, that's the thought that crosses ABL's mind, before she realizes that there is no vendor in the chair to serve her – in fact, a small, white egg has been seated in the vendor's chair instead. The egg has two small punctures in it, where tiny little spiked appendages are attempting to break free – they seem to be pointing in the direction of the tempura veggies. Not even this little one can resist them! Is it supposed to be eating veggies, though...?

Will ABL take the egg, or continue her search?

Rotom310 – What better way to enjoy the warmth and freshness of Spring than... well, utterly avoiding nature altogether while browsing through souvenir displays? As Drew sorts through Pyukumuku hats and other themed merchandise, with his Rotom-possessed cellular phone looking on, Corv the Murkrow is on the case, presumably searching for eggs... If something rife for stealing doesn't catch his eye first. Even so, the Rotom opens a thermal camera app, deciding to initiate its own search as backup for when the Murkrow inevitably incurs the wrath of the Springtime Pyukumuku... or the police. Whichever catch him first.

Drew follows along, as the thermal camera scans a nearby booth, advertising sunglasses for visitors to the isle – a number of disembodied model heads are on display, showing off the latest fashions. As the thermal camera scans each one, a sudden, ovoid-shaped silhouette of heat appears from one of the heads – looks like someone put a blonde wig and fake ears on one of these eggs, in addition to a pair of super trendy heart-shaped sunglasses! Adding to the illusion is the fact that the egg itself is tan, like sunkissed skin, with a yellow stripe down the back that could be confused for blonde hair at a distance, even without the wig.

Will Drew choose this egg, or will Rotom scan elsewhere?

Cold.

...No, not quite. At least not yet.

Quiet - that was the word.

Water lapped at a Lapras's fins as a lone pair sailed across the sea, slow and steady in pace, yet purposeful towards their eventual destination. Jess sighed as she leaned lazily back against her deliverer's dorsal, listening to the nothingness all around them, save for the occasional cry of a Wingull overhead. Behind them trailed a silver string - almost invisible to the naked eye - like Theseus's thread marking the maze of the Minotaurus in the party's wake. Only the line was meant to lure leviathans towards them.

Unfortunately, the spider-net's spellcaster seemed to having no such luck today. Perhaps it was due to the coral creature already circling around the red and white Poké Ball bobber, bobbing excitedly up and down in rhythm and creating counteracting currents. The radiating ripples collide and cancel, disrupting the cerulean stained glass surface, shattering the illusion of stillness. Reverberating like a loud echo through a chapel, rudely disturbing its sanctity.

Thus the girl reluctantly reeled the silk back into its spool and packed away the rod, which she had recently received in the mail along with some other seemingly random gifts - much to her sudden surprise. When the long, thin package arrived at her Base's doorstep, she had been hesitant at first. It seemed like the sort of thing meant to act as bait in itself - a call to adventure she hadn't heeded in so long. On the contrary, she'd been pretty much behaving like a hermit crab for the past few years, confined to her home/practically living under a rock while the rest of the world went through a rocky period of civil unrest, simmering in the streets amongst dissatisfied citizens until it boiled into rebellion. She'd caught glimpses of it on the news of course, but had been preoccupied with other matters at the time. But now that both sides had settled to a degree (including her own affairs) - peacefully enough it would seem - and the smoke had cleared, she decided perhaps it might be worth poking her head to see what all had changed in her absence. Wouldn't hurt to take a look at least.

Besides, attached to the parcel had been a flyer advertising that the "Springtime Pyukumu" had arrived, complete with a rather crude (yet undeniably cute) drawing, inviting trainers to come join in an Egg hunt located on a mysterious retreat called "Springtide Isle". There was a sense of familiarity to the summon, a promise of meeting, of making new friends. ...A promise she failed to keep the last time. But the time before that...

"It's been something of a tradition for many, many years in Excelsior, whichever new area we land in we have the contest on who can stay underwater the longest. As we land in different areas we get different types of seas: hot, warm, cold, violent, calm. It's really awesome and I can't wait to show everyone what I'm made of, I'll win it this year and get the prize at the end of it. I wish you could watch, but I know new people to the island don't really want to stay when they've got a lot of friends back on their continent. But if we do ever appear back in this time, I will be sure to send you a letter to tell you how I got on."

She wondered how Caitlin was doing, if she ever did win that contest. Jess was sure she did. Was her Wartortle a Blastoise by now? What would she think of this ocean, with all its infinite blue and solitude? Its serenity? Stability?

Stagnancy.

In truth, compared to her constantly traveling "correspondent" (whom she never did hear from again after that, though she waited with anticipation by the mailbox many a time, hopeful for a word, a sign that time and stars had indeed miraculously aligned for them again), she felt static. Stuck. Like no time had passed, and yet sifted through her hands as sand all the same. A revolving hourglass.

She knew this place was not the same. That the "past" and "that person" were gone from her life - perhaps forever. But there was something in its marketed transiency - its myth and its magic - that reminded her of the drifting island, and thus drew her to it. The very fact that it was a bizarre being she had never heard of handing out holiday goodies this year was evidence enough that this wasn't the land she once knew. Her first encounter on that previous strange plane had been with a (bullying) Buneary after all, in a mystical meadow much like the Stardust Fields. (...If that was even a location that existed anymore. With all the reconstruction going on as of late, she wasn't sure what was even still considered "officially" part of the continent's landscape. As if the earth's mass itself was alive and shifting like the tides. All her maps were now completely outdated, which made navigating difficult. Thus she decided to trust her teammates' instincts to get her to the destination rather than rely on a ferry and have to pay a fare. ...Not to mention she hadn't had the best history with boats to begin with, having been scammed before and stranded in the middle of the deep, only to be luckily picked up by a passing cruise liner. Plus, she did want to try out that aforementioned Fishing Rod.)

Considering she hadn't kept the Buneary, Jess sometimes mused whether the experience had ever actually happened at all. Perhaps it was something she'd simply dreamed up, cooked up by a bored, stifled imagination for lack of outside stimulance - longing for something more out of life. Maybe none of this was real, and everything up to now had been an escape into a realm of so-called "madness"...

Alice in Wonderland, chasing the proverbial white (and brown) rabbit down a hole.

A song snapped her from her reverie. They had arrived. As her steed steered towards the shore, Jess felt a growing chill, for as they drew closer the patches of pure white appeared more like snow and frost.

There finally appears to be signs of life within Captain Frost as he stands up and looks through a pair of binoculars straight ahead, smiling for the first time in a long while.

"Land is straight up ahead, we’re not far off now, boys keep it up..."

Images flash in her consciousness - of statues suspended in ice - grotesque Gorgon victims. That was how she felt: forever frozen in memory, like a museum. Struggling to preserve specimens, prevent "change"; holding onto artifacts of an ancient, bygone era. ...To save what was left, by suffocating growth.

She remembers, right before that: the colors of balloons, cotton candy, air suffuse with sweetness and laughter. A festival, a celebration - of a legend. A hero.

...Had she been a hero then?

...Had she ever been?

...Was there ever even a "before"?

At that moment, she felt a nudge against her leg. Haruki had hit it with his horn - gentle, but insistent. That's right, he had been with her back then too. And it was in part his presence (or rather his mirror reflection) that brought her state of mind back from the brink of despair. So she smiled, returning to the present.

Sliding off the shell and onto the slush, she took stock of their surroundings. Seemed they had overshot their course and disembarked on an arctic section of the isle after all. No matter. As they say, "the cold never bothered her anyway".

...Okay, maybe that wasn't entirely true - she thought as she sneezed and hastily dug into her backpack for an extra layer, hugging the jacket around herself. Still, she supposed it was as good a place to start as any, and would provide a sufficient challenge to "get her feet wet" again, so to speak.

Before setting off on her blind search for hidden pre-hatchlings, she turned to her marine mount, stroking the spotted neck in appreciation for making such a long journey.

"Thanks, Tess."

For some reason, the name tasted thick and funny on her tongue. As if pronouncing a foreign phrase, like there was another, synonymous association on the tip, just beyond her vocabulary's reach. It had been an arbitrary whim at the time - completely irrelevant to whatever the vague analogue was - of that she was sure. But now, it evoked an odd nostalgia. Familiar but far-off.

...Come to think of it, where had Tessie come from? Or Haruki, for that matter?

She looked down at the blue-and-white coral in confusion. For a brief instant, she recollects a jaunty-looking man in a sombrero, passing out Eggs and making mirth whenever it came to "hatching time", jovially joking that her dream had come true at last, only for it to always turn out to be a "dud" in disguise...

She shook her head. She must have Eggs on the brain, scrambling her thoughts. Still, it bothered her, that there seemed to be so many gaps missing in her memory. Like there was a murky haze blocking her vision, muddling mentality. Long stretches of "time" lost, so many stories incomplete...

Again, she pushed such rumination aside. Rather than recalling, she leaned against Tess's forehead, murmuring:

"Stick close with Haruki. You two have fun, feel free to swim around to see other parts of the island if you want. I'll be back soon."

Leaving the duo to their own devices, she started off to explore the terrain, shortly coming upon a series of caverns. Knowing she'd likely need some protection from this point, she debated bringing out her old pal Custard, who'd surely fare well in this weather. (Or even Bobble, with his fluffy Pink Scarf and eternal sunshine disposition, sporting shades as if it were always summer.) But she figured it'd be better to give some of her newer recruits some exposure. Running through her roster of those who could withstand the wintry temperature, Kris and Midna seemed out of the question, so that left...

"Leo, Kim, come on out."

She called as she released the pair: a round sphere resembling a seal and a (literal) floating ice cream cone. Seeing the two as if for the first time, she felt a twinge of guilt for neglecting them for so long. She had barely gotten to know them before becoming busy with other... "stuff", often leaving them to be babysat by their seniors. Hopefully, they could make up for some of that "lost time" now.

"Hey, I'm so sorry I've been away for a while. I know this is our first outing together, so I want to make it special. What do you say? You guys want to come on an Egg Hunt with me?"

The reaction was affirmative, as Leo bounced eagerly in agreement, while Kim shyly nodded. Relieved, Jess indicated for them to lead the way.

"All right then, let's go!"

Keith couldn't help but smile as he walked the beach. Such a long stretch of sand, such beautiful weather... indeed, if Keith was any good at swimming, he might have been tempted to take a swim in the sea right then and there. But even if that were the case, he highly doubted what he sought would be found by doing so. No, it was on dry land he figured the Eggs would be at, and indeed, he spotted something right before him. At least, he thought so... "Huh," he frowned, examining what appeared to be a deceptively-shaped mound of sand. "Meowth... is this an Egg?"

"It might be," Meowth murmured, likewise eyeing the Egg. "Seems ta fit in real well wit da sand, though. I almost didn't see it."

"You and me both," Keith stated. "Hmm... I dunno," he shook his head. "I'm kinda curious, but at the same time... maybe we ought leave this one be, yeah?"

"Yer da boss," Meowth shrugged. "So, we gonna keep combin' da beach?"

"Nah," Keith shook his head. "Suppose there are more Eggs like that one, and maybe buried a little deeper? I don't want to not see one and step on it by accident. C'mon, let's keep moving," he stated, leading the way out towards...

"Ahhh," Keith grinned as they approached the Rocky Coast. "Alright, Meowth, let's see what we can see, hmm?"

"Ehh, ya tink dis is a good spot?" Meowth asked.

"...I do, actually," Keith nodded. "I have a good feeling about this area. Now then, let's keep a sharp eye out for any more Eggs," he stated as he began to explore the Rocky Coast, keeping a sharp eye out for more Eggs. Meowth wasn't entirely convinced of the good feeling Keith had, but then, he couldn't say for sure that there was nothing to it, either, now could he? Either way, he kept an eye out as well, wondering what sort of Egg they'd find next.

Erven was miserable. He hated heights, loathed the heat, and wasn't overly fond of the hike up the rough terrain, either. Why, he had thought, did he decide this would be a good place to search for eggs? There were so many more places they could have searched that would have doubtlessly been more comfortable by an incredibly wide margin. Greg seemed equally as worn as his trainer, and possibly a bit resentful, not that Erven could blame him. Pele, however, seemed utterly unaffected by the climate, which came as no surprise. Even her namesake suggested she were right at home, here.

"This... this was a dumb idea-" Erven acknowledged as they trekked on, up the path, wiping his brow with his already moist sleeve. "I hope this was worth it," he expressed, though he doubted anything this Springtime Pyukumuku may have left would be, by this point.

The house was beautiful... even if it was somewhat spooky. The beautiful chairs lining the lovely long table in the dining room made Elka feel right at home, almost as if her mom were about to set out a freshly baked pie at the table. She smiled to herself, only to be drawn to Pascal. The small fox had his eyes glued to one of the chairs. The chair in question was stained a dark red. Elka stepped towards it to give it a closer look, assuming the worst immediately. However, upon closer inspection she noticed the overturned wine glass, as well as the faint scent of fermented berries floating into her nostrils. Elka sighed, resting her hands firmly on her crutches and attempting to move forward, perhaps deeper into the beach house.

She was however, startled by a loud crash, followed by a shatter. She turned on her heels quickly, especially after hearing a small shriek from her partner. The glass she had just been observing had... somehow managed to fall to the floor. She swore she never touched it, actually, she swore nothing she could've done should've actually knocked it over. She shuddered slightly at the thought, but turned once again in an attempt to explore. Only to be once again interrupted by Pascal, who this time was tugging at her shoelace in an attempt to get his trainer's attention. Elka looked towards Pascal, only to see a small black egg with red stripes that had seemingly rolled out from under the table. She glanced at the egg, propping her crutches against the table so she could slowly lower herself to the floor in order to pick it up. She scooped it into her arms, pushing her crutches under each arm with one hand. The egg was interesting to say the least, it seemed to wiggle slightly with every touch the young girl gave.

She glanced towards her partner, looking for some kind of reason to accept the gift that the Springtime Pyukumuku. The young Eevee seemed happy enough with their find, but Elka assumed it was just because he would be able to make a new friend. Whatever the case, Elka decided it was best to take the egg with her. Her hunt was short, but she felt it was going to be a success. Now she just had to head home with her findings.

(OOC: Taking the first egg you give me, bless u Marion)

Well, it wasn't a bird egg, but it was definitely something -- a something Tate almost certainly recognized. See, if Tate knew anything, it was Alolan Pokémon. Sure, it wasn't a flawless knowledge, and some of the less interesting stuff escaped the bird keeper, but Tate had studied diligently to get into the now long-ago and far-away program on Poni. "Hey, Kai," Tate said, jostling a shoulder to get the Vaporeon's attention. "Look at this."

Kai grunted, and stretched the best she could from her perch, before delicately stepping off of the backpack and onto a branch of the canopy. She sniffs the pile of fruit -- and one egg -- before recoiling from the overwhelming sweet smell. Tate laughs.

"It's not a bird egg," Tate sighs, a little disappointedly, and scans the area, wondering if it might be better to move on. A moment later, the trainer snaps out of it. "But I know a girl who might be into something like this. What do you say we take it back with us? We might get a nice reward for it if she likes it."

Kai looks disinterested, and licks a paw, before beginning to groom her face, repulsed by the cloying sweetness. Shrugging, Tate reaches out with one arm, intending to claim the egg.

"I feel as though I've awoken from a long nightmare..." Muyo thought to himself, looking up at a house that seemed pleasant enough from the outside, but gave him a feeling in the back of his mind that he was lacking something... a mallet? What a strange idea, but the memory issues had been troubling him more and more lately. Somehow he had memory of performing a much needed medical procedure and having been cast out from the realm as a result, but then he also seemed to have no memory of studying medicine. These things would come together in time, he'd been told, but it still troubled him.

Approaching the front door of the house the ominous feeling grew stronger, but something was calling him from inside as well. Someone? Something? Whatever it was, he felt certain that somewhere on the inside was something that he was meant to find.

Pop.

The bubble dispersed loudly in DB's face, startling him as he jumped back from the surface of the water. Niles, caught in a rare state of unawareness, clenched his talons tightly against his trainer's scalp to secure himself against the heavy lurch of his trainer's body. DB's surprise quickly turned to pain. "Eeeeeh yowwww, jesus Niles," he yelped, managing to steady himself. He raised his arms up to his partner, gently untangling the bird from his brown hair and turning the creature towards him. "Why do you always do that?"

"Row," the Rowlet stated matter-of-factly, expression vacant. Clutches of DB's hair wafted gently from his talons in the breeze.

"Yeah yeah yeah," the young man demurred, plucking his newly liberated hairs from the grip of his partner's feet. "Anyway, did you see it?"

"Row," the Rowlet mused, as if to say Of course, you dolt, and hopped out DB's palms. He hovered over the water and pointed down with a wing before settling on the edge of the pool.

"Let." Now go get it.

"I can see why fate paired us up." DB removed his leather boots and socks, tucking the garments into the laces. He followed up with his slim fitted dark jeans, folding them neatly and laying them over the footwear. "Because you are just as much a jerk as I am," the trainer continued, voice muffled as he slid his checkered flanner and black v neck over his head. "But we're both charming as hell. Keep a look out!" DB declared with a cocky smile, diving uncouthly into the pond to retrieve the mischievous blue egg.

"Row," Niles tittered, launching himself aloft and drifting over to wear DB left his clothes. Carefully nipping a corner of the shirt, the Rowlet began to drag the garments to the water as his trainer made his descent to collect the egg.

Melody's nose twinged, there was a new scent wafting through the air. She took a deep breath, the soft grassiness of the grassy scent flooding her senses. It was an interesting scent, she wasn't sure if it would work as a perfume, there's a chance it could be too subtle. Nevertheless, it was a scent, and as such Melody decided to follow it.

Following her nose, Melody found herself at a tree hollow. Looking inside she found a tan egg deep within the hollow. Melody couldn't lie, at first, she wasn't exactly sure if the egg was actually one left by the Easter Pyukumuku but slime remnants clinging to the egg clued her in.

Melody wasn't sure what pokemon it contained, but she didn't mind the smell that was coming from it. It could work as a perfume, and who knew, if the scent didn't work out, then there was the possibility that the egg could contain something valuable. Something valuable that could be used as leverage to get something better. It seemed like it could work. And thank god it didn't take too long for her to find something, while beauty was indeed pain, Melody was already going to have spend a fortune getting her hair and nails fixed up and didn't want to inflate that cost sticking around.

Gently grabbing the egg, Melody decided that she was done and got ready to go back down.

On the reclusive Springtide Isle, even time seemed to stop to take in the scenery. A vast array of stunning landscapes decorated the festive island, ranging from volcanoes to ice caverns and everything in between. While the extreme, exotic terrains struck piqued his interest, Spark ultimately found himself standing just off the beaten path atop the elevated cliffside that overlooked the sparkling sea surrounding the isle. The rejuvenating scents of salt and grasses purged his lungs while the view of the glittering sun stretching across the water cleansed his eyes and mind. Indeed, time had stopped for himself and most of the world around him, but what did dare to break the lull had the decency to maintain a methodical meter. The gentle push and pull of the waves along the shoreline, the rustling of the lengthy grasses brushing his shins, the delicate sway of the shadows created by the lush, leafy tree beside him. These subtle sounds only increased the serenity of the area. With each sensation amplifying the others and his minor fatigue from walking suddenly becoming overwhelming, Spark slowly surrendered his vision to the tranquility of the moment, unable to resist any longer.

Spark awoke to an irritated nose and an oddly...damp face. With a scrunch, he narrowly avoided disrupting the scene with a boisterous sneeze, and his hand shot to his nose to pluck off the offending blade of grass. Yawning, he willed himself to sit up, but it was all for not. As soon as he pulled himself up, he was knocked to the ground with a forceful tackle, his head lucky to be spared the impact by a turf cushion. But the assault didn't end there. The aggressor followed up with a flurry of interminable licking. Locating the only avenue of escape from the unstoppable tongue, Spark turned his head to the side, leaving his cheek to bear the brunt of the slimy sneak-attack. Finally able to see again, his eyes landed on the answer to all of his questions: an open Pokeball.

"Alright, play time's over, buddy," he mumbled, still groggy from his siesta. Without exposing the front of his face to the oncoming saliva, Spark reached for whatever is on top of him and plucked off a perky Poochyena, sitting up and placing her directly in front of him before getting to his feet.

"Yip!" she yelped, pawing her trainer's right leg, ensuring she'd captured his attention. Once all eyes were on her, she scurried through the grasses, disappearing here and there in patches that rivaled her height. Eventually, she resurfaced on the well-trodden path, barking once more for Spark's attention before planting her nose on the ground and sniffing down the trail without a second thought.

"Hey! Neko, wait up!" Spark called after her, frantically trying to adjust his bag as he bent down to collect her empty Pokeball. As he began to follow her, the trainer stopped and hesitated a moment, taking one more look out across the open ocean, relishing this momentary chance to feel the breeze so close to the cliff's edge. After taking one last deep breath, he jogged after his companion, now ready and eager to hunt down one of the legendary Springtime Pyukumuku's hidden treasures.

You don't have to look long, as your Furfrou picks up an unusual scent, something like an icky mucous that's been smeared everywhere. You follow him as he goes down the coast, coming closer to the shoreline. You think you see a pair of store brand bunny ears in the distance, but its probably just a mirage from the ocean. You eventually make it to the water's edge, where you find something waiting for you, half buried in the sand.

The egg has some spikes on it, meaning you're careful as you dig it out of the sand, but a light blue egg with a purple top. Initially that doesn't give you much to go with, but you look around and see that this place is actually a nesting ground. It's not in use currently, but it seems to be that there is a little of sharp little coral spikes lying around everywhere, whether that's from the ocean, feeding, or the type of Pokemon who nests here is uncertain. But this egg seems to have been placed very deliberately. The Springtime Pyukumuku is wise.

What will you do, now that you have an egg?

Now that the pair are looking for an egg, it doesn't take Aegis long to find a clue. She turns them towards the shore, following what appears to be mucus. Definitely not the Easter Buneary I'm used to, Schala muses.

Schala catches what might be a glimpse of this fabled Springtime Pyukumuku, but is probably just an oddly shaped rock. At least as far as she is concerned, it is better to watch out for eggs rather than try and hunt down the the one dropping them around the place. It seems like it would ruin the fun and spirit of the event. Aegis leads them to a half buried egg by the water, and sits expectantly next to it.

"Nice find!" Schala exclaims as bends down in the sand to get a closer look. She dusts the sand off of it, mindful of what appears to be spines. The color doesn't give her much to go on, but the scattered pieces of coral around it reminds her of something she had read about: a poisonous Pokemon native to Alola that preys on Corsola.

Schala pulls her hand back at the realization. Those spines might actually be dangerous, after all.

"I'm not sure if this is this egg for us, Aegis." She admits, "These spines might not be safe to handle without protection. The Pokemon this egg belongs to is poisonous." Schala realizes her poor wording too late.

Aegis looks alarmed at that declaration and tries to move between her trainer and what has suddenly gone from 'harmless egg' to 'perceived threat'. Obligingly, Schala steps back to a 'safe' distance and tries not to laugh at how seriously Aegis was taking the egg's threat to her safety. She was likely upset that she hadn't noticed before her trainer had.

"How about we look for another egg?" She asks the Furfrou currently glaring at the egg in front of her, when it becomes clear that the guard dog is more than willing to spend the rest of the trip just staying between her and their current find. Aegis sends her a betrayed look. She had been told that this was a fun and safe event, not one filled with dangerous eggs out to harm her charge! Not that she hadn't been wary of danger just in case, but a little more warning would have been nice.

"I'm sure the next one will be safe, and if not, I know you'll protect me." Her praise of the Furfrou's skills works as intended. Mollified, Aegis grudgingly agrees, but still herds her trainer away from the egg. Just in case.

"Why don't we see if there's an egg that way?" Schala points away from the shore, further into the rocky outcroppings, and once again grabs Aegis for balance as they clamber over the rocks. Given how keyed up Aegis was over the last egg, taking a tumble would be very much not appreciated. Better to be cautious and play it safe until she calms down a bit...

She glances back at the egg one last time. Hopefully someone will find and take it before it hatches and causes the Corsola trouble. She focuses once again on her footing and lets Aegis lead her away.

"W-where am I?" Those were the first words Voltaire heard himself speak, the Emolga slowly opening his eyes. Dazed...lost....confused. Those were just some of the emotions Voltaire felt as he managed to get up onto his feet.
The Emolga began to look around at his surroundings, but it left him even more confused. He seemed to be in some kind of forest? Had he been here before he had awoke? Where was his trainer for that matter? Surely Jake wouldn't have left him in a strange place such as this?

No, he remembered....his last memory! His trainer had sent him out, in order to battle a mighty Talonflame and Turtonator! He had managed to defeat the Talonflame, and was doing good damage to Turtonator when.....his memory suddenly ended. How had he managed to end up in such a place then? The battle hadn't taken place in a forest. The Sky Squirrel Pokemon knew he couldn't get any answers from just waiting around, he needed answers!

"It's like I've been sleeping since forever." Voltaire mused as he slowly began to walk. His whole body was aching, and he hadn't moved more then a few steps! Luckily, the Emolga didn't have to wait long before finding a clue! A colourful poster had been discarded near him, a Pokeball right beside it.
"What better way to celebrate spring then the Springtide Isle egg hunt?" Voltaire read aloud. "You can search for the exotic eggs left by the Springtime Pyukumuku, right here at Springtide Isle!"
"Springtide Isle? Is this where I am?" Voltaire questioned. It was then that the Emolga realized that he had been talking to himself the entire time! Deeply embarrassed, Voltaire opted to read the rest in his head.

"So...I just have to find an egg...and I get to keep it...no strings attached?" Voltaire asked, once again talking to only himself. Though the Emolga had been disheartened upon learning he was on an island, Voltaire was now absolutely beaming.
"This is perfect! If I can snatch an egg, the Pokemon that hatches can help me get out of here! I'm sure Jake would be overjoyed to have another member join the team. Patches would surely be impressed by my exploits, and instantly want to go out with me!" Voltaire exclaimed, particularly happy about the last part.

Having decided on just what to do, the Emolga began to ponder his first move.
"If I were an egg....where would I be..." He muttered.
Of course! The logical place to look was up! Grabbing the Pokeball that had been left behind, Voltaire walked over to a nearby tree.
"Oh...I guess I can't climb a tree with this..can I? If I find an egg...I'll just bring it back here." Voltaire reassured himself, placing the ball at the base of the tree.
Cursing his lack of flight, Voltaire began to slowly climb his way up the tree, stopping on a branch every so often. The Emolga kept his eyes peeled for any eggs, hoping he wasn't missing any as he slowly climbed higher and higher.

Shadow still wasn't entirely sure how it happened. He had been derelict in his duties as an agent, although he was already used to letting the team run things themselves, with his only mandatory involvement being a gesture of approval. The last thing he remembered, Trucy had evolved in a dream and Mastermind was looking into the management of some... offshore island facilities, but that was it. Maybe it was the ennui and tedium or a colossal disaster of unimaginable proportions, but endless hypothesising would not provide answers.

It was times like these where the KND veteran wondered if he hadn't been better off retiring years ago to run a soda-smuggling operation. At the very least he'd have a ready supply of tipple to down when the mood felt right.

"So this is what everything was replaced with?" he noted to Numbuh Divide by Zero,
who simply folded his spectral arms and regarded the Trainer with a crimson, watchful gaze. On his modified Gear Shadow reread the intel he had received; Alolan natives would be introduced to the global ecosystem through the investigative endeavour. At the very least it meant that less of the team needed to be disrupted, and Grim was suited to similarly disquieting environments.

Frowning, Shadow pushed past the creaking door of the emptied facility...

There are a variety of tempting dishes on offer at the bustling little market, but a sign boldly promising "vegetarian tempura" draws ABL like a moth to a flame. She hones in on her target and examines the glossy photos of potential treats that can be prepared for any shoppers with a healthy appetite. The lovingly battered broccoli is rendered in divine detail, and the trainer's mouth waters at the mere thought of how pillowy soft that sweet potato would be. She can almost taste it...

The salivating woman's desires will go unfulfilled today though; the tempura station is currently unstaffed. She manages to stave off the urge to swear - there are little ones present at the market, after all - but permits herself a soft cry of anguish. The noise immediately causes Karma to let out a whine in response and she nuzzles her trainer sympathetically. ABL rewards Karma's gesture with a light scruffing of her chest fur, but the human's expression remains rather pouty.

"This sucks," she huffs to herself. She takes a look at the odd little egg sitting where, in her dreams, a friendly chef would be.

"Looks like you're in charge of the business for now, huh," ABL sighs. "Guess I better leave it to you. Hopefully you'll have better luck than me."

The trainer gives the spiky egg a gentle pat on top and bids it farewell with "Otsukaresama."

ABL pivots away and goes back the way she came, and Karma's brow furrows with bewilderment.

"I know, I'm sorry girl. But now I'm in a tempura state of mind and nothing else will taste as good."

Karma, who wasn't feeling entirely comfortable in a crowded market anyway, drops the idea. By now she's well and truly used to her trainer's bouts of sulking (especially where the human's stomach is concerned) and she's wise enough to know that it will soon pass. Particularly if there's something new to distract and entertain her!

Probably smarter than her trainer, and definitely wiser,
the Arcanine takes off at a brisk trot. ABL has to break into a jog to keep up with the powerful Pokémon, but as soon as they're out of range of the food aromas, Karma resumes a more relaxed pace. ABL asks the Arcanine what in the world she's up to by way of a mere frown, but she soon realises that there are more and more delightful little plants in bloom along the path Karma has chosen. Unbeknownst to her meandering human, clever Karma's keen sense of smell took the pair straight to a place that would serve as an ideal distraction from the previous disappointment.

"Look at the pretty flowers!" ABL squeals, as though Karma might have missed them without her help.

The batter-coated veggies now forgotten, ABL merrily strolls along the walkway pointing out each new colour and shade she sees, venturing deeper into the heart of the Flowerbed Gardens. Karma has saved the day yet again.

Why in Arceus’ name the Springtide Pyukumuku decided to hide eggs here, or how, will remain an unsolved mystery. With dark corridors and unsure footing, one would easily lose their way and get disoriented. A fact you proved by slipping on the ice yourself and nearly gaining a concussion. You hear your Pokémon chuckle at your slapstick routine, but they quickly left down different tunnels before you managed to get up. Stitching yourself back together you notice that’s not going too well either. You feel a warm trickle running down your lips and you soon discover that you had given yourself a nosebleed in your stumble.

Your Pokémon don’t report for the longest of times as you start wandering about the cave yourself. Not soon after, your Pokémon return, both having to disappoint you at not having found anything. No matter, as you had managed to do what they couldn’t. You swear at yourself for having jinxed your journey. If only you hadn’t imagined the possibility it may not have come to this. At the very top of a slippery slope you find an egg taunting you from atop the frozen waterfall. Your two Pokémon argue about who gets to be the one to retrieve the egg when one of them shoves the other into the icy wall. The sheet of ice cracks and to your horror you witness loose pebbles of ice tumbling down towards you, but more importantly; the egg was falling. You teeter left and right in an attempt to catch it and to your luck you do. The egg nestles coldly in your arms, sending you back into another slip. Pebbles of ice rain down beside you and it’s after they crash that you realise the stones are berries; hammered down and frozen into blocks. The egg itself had a purple colour and felt surprisingly warm to the touch. Most likely the environments icy climate hadn’t affected it yet.

You didn’t particularly enjoy large crowds and preferred the tranquil cove that harboured the confines of the flowery meadows. Finding one of the Springtide Pyukumuku’s eggs would be a nice bonus. You called out one of your Pokémon; an Eevee and set it to work on the task at hand. While the Eevee nodded and dug, disappearing beneath the flower petals, you sat back, relaxed and enjoyed the scenery. A single daisy you picked wafted its soft fragrance and put you at peace. Soon, the scent of others mixed with those of the daisy and provided you with a bouquet of aromas

Forrest didn’t return for the longest of times and so you decided to pick a few more of the flowers that surrounded you. Vibrant colours of red, purple, orange and blue were just a few of the ones within your reach. Upon picking a few from a small patch beside you, you notice a few of the petals trembling in the quake of the earth beneath. Intrigued, you put your head closer to examine, only to realise that was a mistake soon after. Forrest erupts from below the ground, having dug his way out, and plummets straight into your face. You reel back in pain, clutching your nose, and feel the gush of blood running down from it. The unfortunate nosebleed brought some good news at least; while Forrest had dropped the egg upon surfacing, you had kept your eyes on it the moment you saw it. No easy feat, as when the egg rolled into the flower bushes you notice it to be cleverly disguised in a floral pattern of soft colours.

You and your Pokémon enjoy the relaxing walk along the scenic routes of the nature trail. Your Aipom was easily the most excitable one out of the lot of you as it sped off ahead. Your Marowak on the other hand was still getting used to his new look and typing. It felt strange and he seemed to not be entirely sure how to handle it properly just yet. A lone Combee zooms up to you in greeting and prods you from the side. You greet it friendly and try to move on try but the Combee inists on prodding you for more attention, this time in your face. You take a few steps back in mild annoyance while attempting to swat the instigator away. The Combee doesn’t take kindly to this and proceeds to try and only annoy you more by getting right up close to your face. Your Marowak tries to help you and swings his bone to shoo the Pokémon away. The Combee moves to the side just in time, and your partner’s bone hits you square in the jaw. You reel back in pain and stumble. The Combee laughs at your predicament but thankfully leaves. You want to swear at your Pokémon for having given you a nosebleed but in the distance your Aipom breaks your concentration by calling out for you. He seems to have found something.

Upon moving closer it was unmistakable that something was concealed within the tall grass, though not very well as it was almost impossible to miss. A soft glow pulsed from amidst the blades of grass and your Aipom danced with acrobatic movements around it’s rhythmic fluctuations. While the glow itself was blue, the egg was a light pink in colour. Had it been night-time the egg would have easily been spotted from afar.

You sat down relaxed atop a gentle hill, taking in the surroundings of the grove that had remained untouched by the urban lifestyle. Flowers tickled your palms as you knelt, and soon afterwards you started drawing whatever it was that came into you sight. Maxwell was interested in other things though; eggs, and so you called out his friend Orville to help him out in his quest. The Buizel and Rotom exchange a brief conversation of Pokéspeak with Orville giving a chime in understanding before the two sped off in their own directions down the hill.

For a while, all had remained quiet as both your Pokémon disappeared beneath the surface of the flower petals. It seems nothing was as easy to find here as you had hoped, when suddenly a loud shriek startles you. Orville’s cry knocked you off your balance and pretty soon you find yourself tumbling down the hill. You land with a gentle plop on the soft earth, face first, and upon lifting your head you feel a peculiar warmth flowing down your mouth; you had broken your nose. But in front of you, having been so close all this time only to have been missed by both your Pokémon, lies an egg nestled within a flowerbed that caught your attention. Your crash-landing on the blossoming earth had sent pollen swarming into the air like tiny flies, tickling your nose when getting near, but more importantly, seemingly attracted to the egg as it clung onto its shell.

After standing outside the haunted abode for well over an hour, your Mawile provides you the words of encouragement you need to delve into its abandoned walls. The door creaks with a jitter when you push it open, and then stops. Something was jamming it from the other side. Maybe there was another way in? You give one final push and hear the loud clutter of furniture, boats and props topple over one another. The door swings open with a jolt and you fall into the building’s hollow mouth. A loose floorboard caught you off guard and tripped you. The floor came up to meet you face to face with a nasty scrunch and after the impact you soon realise you nose was bleeding.

A small stroke of luck came with it though, as out of the corner of your eye you notice what looked to be an egg. You hurry and dash to it, making sure to not trip this time, and zigzag past the aisles. You’re disappointed though when you find out the ‘egg’ you saw was nothing more than a picture painted on a cloth. Oh well, and so you continue your search. You start with the cloth, hoping to find something hidden underneath. You lift the veil of the fabric to see and- oh Arceus, oh Mew! It’s an egg alright but it’s horrible. Nothing about it looked or smelled right to you. Look away, look away. The egg is an affront to your eyes and your airways. The very simple sight of it brings nothing but dismay. So look away.

The Alolan market was packed with vendors selling their merchandise. Everything from fresh waterberries to second-hand socks were sold in this jam-packed one-way street. Your eyes are caught by the keychain fashioned into the design of an Alolan native Pokémon, only to then be reminded of the reason you were here; the egg hunt set up by the enigmatic Springtide Pyukumuku. Thank Arceus you had your partner Pokémon to snap some sense into you or you’d ha- OH LOOK! A pastry shop! The densest part of the crowd seemed to be swarming around this particular vendor, attracted by the warm, savoury smell of fresh pastry. You had to worm your way in between members of the crowd to get a closer look and find the pastry merchant bolstering a hearty laugh. A sudden jerk from an elbow hit you in your face and you cower down in response, discovering soon after that your nose was bleeding.

Strangers left and right asked the man to sell his delicious cuisine to them first. You heard people exclaiming loudly how strange it was that the merchant had managed to make his rundown shop into a huge success practically overnight. Burnt, tart dough had turned into a crispy golden, and the blotched mess managed to reshape itself to that of Pokémon such as Rowlet. “Hahaha!” the man laughs. “I owe all my success to this strange egg that funny little creature gave me,” as he held up an odd object. “This little gem has granted me such luck in such a short amount of time. I’ve lost weight, my business is booming and I don’t have to go to the bathroom five times a night anymore. I will give this prize to anyone who can grant me my last wish in life; to see what an Alola Raichu looks like before it evolves.” Upon closer inspection you notice the odd object to in fact be an egg, one that would have looked very similar to those of the mythic Pyukumuku. A sleek black embroidered the confines of the smooth egg, and a single gold coin of good luck was glued in the middle.

After Ahri pulled you away from yet another yellow slush-puppy, you continue your course through the cavern corridors, though why you had decided to visit the coldest place of the island - that was otherwise known for its warm luxurious beaches - will remain a mystery. Your eyes wander along the cracks and stalagmites, hoping to find a crevasse containing a hidden egg. No such luck, and what’s worse was that in that momentary lapse of attention you plant your face into the cave wall. The brunt force causes you to slip on the thin sheet of ice and fall. With a grunt you land, and holding your hand on your nose you realise you have given yourself a nosebleed.

Ahri though, spotted a strange little object further down the tunnel. Perhaps her species’ panache for the mystic had helped her see what you couldn’t. As you draw closer you notice someone had built a cottage in these abandoned caves. Not just any cottage mind you; an igloo. Bricks of ice were carefully placed on top of another but no one seemed to be around. After poking your head through the entrance you finally found what you were looking for; one of the Springtide Pyukumuku’s eggs.

A small miscalculation on your part meant you arrived at the icy caverns rather than the warm beaches. The cold wasn’t something that was going to stop you though and you dig through your belongings to pull out a warmer layer for yourself. The thick jacket hadn’t warmed you up yet and the cold air pricks the tiny blood vessels within your nose. You sneeze and notice small drops of blood hung from your nose. It seems the chilly environment gave you a nosebleed.

The gaps in your memory tormented you with questions of what was real and not. There was no easy answer to find and some of the people you had felt you could rely on had dropped contact a while ago. Still, you had your Pokémon with you and so you call out the help of two ice-types; two you feel you had neglected in recent years and who made the perfect companions for exploring the icy caverns. The trek didn’t take long before you found yourself in a large open cave sheathed in ice on all sides. The stalactites hung precariously above you but there was no imminent danger so long as there were no earthquakes. The polished white ground was perfect for ice-skating if you had brought your equipment with you and the stalagmites, while obstacles in the path, were fun extras that turned the rink into a playful obstacle course. But your eyes were immediately caught by the sight at the centre of the room; in the middle of the icy sheet lied a white and pale blue egg. A breeze of cold air seemed to emanate from it and upon closer inspection you notice six trails of ice crystals wafting away from it.

The trainer had to pick himself up after his loving Pokémon had oh so playfully tackled him to the ground. The incessant licking that followed was an unwelcome surprise and you had to pick your partner Pokémon off of you if you were going to get started on your search. The Poochyena had already zipped off into the tall grass when you notice a warm sensation on your nose. It seems your rough landing on the ground has given you a nosebleed.

Spark disappeared and reappeared through patches of grass and bushes, yapping at you to follow it as he appeared to have caught a scent but was having trouble tracking it. You follow your Pokémon’s instinct, zigzagging along with him. Blades of tall grass tickle your face as you brush them away and the soft earth got more pliable as you moved on right up until you slip on a patch of mud. With a squish you skid forward and land in the pool of clay. The grass opened in front of your eyes to reveal a clearing of mud and dirt. Sparky, thinking you were playing, quickly joins you in splashing the mud around, coating you even further head to toe in the slimy earth. Finally your eye catches what Sparky was tracking; in the centre of the pool, encrusted in dirt and caked with mud at the bottom, was one of the Springtide Pyukumu’s eggs.

Content with what he has found, Austin heads over to where the egg has rolled and picks it up. At this point he didn't care about his bloody nose, it would eventually heal. Grabbing Forrest's Pokeball, the teen returned his Eevee and started to head off, egg in tow.

While the distraction of your music meant that you walked to a place you had never really meant to go, that does not mean there are any less oppurtunities to be seen! The Springtime Pyukumuku is extremely through in its egg hiding, and there are plenty of eggs to be found on these rocky coasts as well! Of course, you'll have to take a look around for them. The Springtime Pyukumuku is also rather mischievous.

You navigate the terrain, arguably trecherous in places where the rocks have started to weather away from the constant pounding of the waves, until you see a small cavern a little ways above the water line. Feeling that this might be the correct place to go, you climb up to it, and enter the cavern, looking high and low for any evidence of an egg. Indeed you find one! It was hiding in a pile of boulders near the back of the cave. You almost missed the pale blue egg though, if it wasn't for the irregular blotches of something that seem firmly attached to it. It seems like bits of small rock, or maybe some kind of iron shavings are stuck to the egg. Maybe its magnetic? It's possible. The Pokemon of Alola are special after all.

What will you do, now that you have found the egg?
Navigating the coast was tricky, considering how awkward the paths were. Years of erosion would do that to anything. But it was all worth it as Michael happened upon a small cavern. If years of procrastinating playing video games had taught him anything, it was that treasure could always be found in caves! Michael climbed his way up towards the entrance of the cavern. He entered it quite quickly, eager to find his first prize. It took him a while, considering his ability to find things further than his nose was... less than subpar. It didn't help that there were boulders everywhere, and that they all looked like eggs!
...Wait. You can't fool a breeder. That was definitely not a boulder he saw just then. Michael separated a pile of rocks, and there, lying within, was unmistakeably an egg. It was a pale blue colour. Or was it grey? He couldn't tell. Closer inspection revealed that the egg itself was magnetic. Huh. Either way Michael could tell this was not the egg for him. Well, the egg seemed a little sturdier than most. There was probably only one way to get rid of it!
"Remember kids, this is being done by a Professional Pokemon Breeder, do not try this at home!" Michael announced aloud to himself as he wound his foot up...
As he swung his foot back in preparation for the field goal of a lifetime, Michael froze in place at he felt a piercing gaze fall upon him from somewhere hidden in the darkness. It was as if the Springtime Pyukumuku was staring into his soul, almost daring him to lay harm to the egg in his hands. His blood ran cold, and every hair on his body stood on edge. Deciding it best not to incur the wrath of a bunny-eared sea cucumber, Michael gently rubbed the egg against the rocks he found them on until it stuck back to them, then walked away to find another egg.

Chiko walked though the door after forcing the door open with brute strength due to the awkward placing of abandoned furniture in an abandoned beach house, which was actually quite fitting. It didn't take him too long to stumble across something although what he stumbled across ended up being the floor at first, wiping sweat off his forehead and noticing his nose was now bleeding.

"Great" he thought to himself, something else to be concerned with.

Granted, it also caused him to stumble across something which seemed like an egg. Chiko rushed over to check it out as a cloth fell off of it, things were most certainly strange as he looked at what was underneath. The egg-shapred item caused his very being to seize up in what seemed like a deep fear, although there was something oddly alluring about it. Nico gave Chiko a nod as the young man reached out, hoping to claim the egg that was before him.

Stopping to take a respite from the hike, Sypher took several large swigs from his cantina. He had long since out hiked most of the crowd having last seen anyone about three miles prior. "Jill!"he called up to the small bat the was floating around a near by berry tree, raising the reserve of water up to her. "You want some?" The Noibat looked quickly back to the tree, conceding to herself that there were no berries and flying over to her trainer.

Reaching for a straw to make drinking easier for the bat, "Couldn't find anything? Well, if the Pyukumuku did bring any eggs this far up I'd say it fair for them to grab all the berries. Hiking is hard work after all, even more so with out legs and carrying eggs." Sitting down he handed of the cantina and straw to Jill who sat beside him and started to drink.

Taking stock of the area, Sypher noticed a small grove off trees just back down the path and a larger one just ahead passed an outcropping of rocks. "So, which do you think we should look in?" he asked motioning to the groves. Jill looked at the options becoming slightly disparaged with the former as the berry tree she had investigated was jutting out from it. She motioned to the trees just ahead hoping to find some kind of berry as they searched.

After drinking their fill and dusting themselves off the made for the chosen grotto, Sypher instructing Jill to check around for well protected areas that seemed to take on plenty of sun as that would help keep any eggs safe and healthy.

As he hurried along to catch up to the determined pooch, Spark started to notice that something was a amiss. Wriggling his nose, he felt a light trickle cover his philtrum, and a quick swipe of the finger revealed the presence of a light nose bleed. With a small sigh, he wiped the blood onto the blades of grass around him as he soldiered on...for a few steps. The bleeding had left him distracted enough to completely miss the mud pit in front of him, the hidden pool interrupting his footing and prompting an ungraceful fall. Grunting on impact, Spark collided with the damp clay floor, covering his lower body in a thin layer of filth. Dismayed by the dirt, he sighed, but he was quickly interrupted by a curt squelch. Mud erupted from his right side, plastering his cheek and body as his eyes zipped shut on instinct. When he reopened them, he saw the usual culprit hopping through the sticky soil until he reached what appeared to be an oval-shaped collection of mud. Somewhat reluctantly, Spark planted his hands into the dirt behind him and rose to his feet, joining the panting Poochyena beside the muddy egg.

"Well, I'm glad we found one, but not gonna lie, mud isn't really my thing," Spark admitted to his partner, who was making it quite clear the opposite was true for her by rolling around in the sticky mud surrounding the bounty. "Alright then, let's get a move on. There's got to be more eggs out there to find. Let's head towards the water...maybe we can find an egg AND wash this mud off," Spark explained, climbing out of the pit before helping the struggling Neko scale the slightly steep enclosure.

On their way to the shoreline, the pair found themselves walking across a brilliantly silver terrain, littered with a plethora of shimmering stones and suspicious caverns. While the previous location inspired an aura of serenity, this new area struck a chord of awe within Spark, the weather-made structures taking shapes and formations impossible to recreate with the human hand. The presence of more moisture in the air from the nearby coast refreshed the trainer, helping to clear out the oppressive heaviness of the mud still weighing him down. Heading to the edge of the stone shore, Spark bends down to check the depth of the coast, only to receive a splash of chilled, salty water straight to the face.

"You know, I really should just be expecting it at this point," Spark sighed with a small chuckle as Neko splashed around the smooth plateau just under the water's surface. "Or maybe someone should try living up to her name a little bit," he joked, joining her on the shoal only to get a small, swift bite on the ankle in return. "Gah! Sorry, sorry. It was a bad joke..." he apologized, bending down to rub the Poochyena's head. In response, Neko planted a lick across her trainer's cheek before splashing off to return to her playtime in the water.

"I guess it's kind of endearing after a while," Spark admitted, shaking his head as he watched Neko bound through the shallow bank. Still, Spark dipped his head underwater for a moment, washing off the dirt in his hair and the saliva off his face. When he resurfaced, he was rejuvenated and ready to track down another egg.
