This week's What If ...? xkcd was a fascinating read which had a spectacular video to go with it. Really neat stuff. Makes you wish we all magically owned the video equipment necessary to record these sorts of things so that every child growing up could record lightning in a thunderstorm near their home.

Ctrl+Alt+Del ended it's ten year run today, a monument to comics everywhere with multiple personality disorder - it could never decide if it wanted to be serious, a comic about video games, a jokey, silly comic, or some kind of big, sad adventure (which is what it ended up becoming). With it's infamous 'miscarriage' comic that was the first time the comic took an unexpected dark and serious turn, leaving thousands of the readers calling bullshit on his writing ability... and then the infamous 'they choked her to death right in front of me and forced me to watch' to the now 'wtf' ending, we have to look back and wonder: was Tim Buckley using meta-humor to make fun of his horrid writing ability and storytelling in a place where it never belonged as one huge joke?
Because I fucking laughed my ass off several minutes after reading the end, finally getting that punchline - one ten years in the making.
