I have without a doubt the worst facial hair ever.
I have a thin mustache that refuses to grow anymore, and my beard just does not want to come in. Instead, I have all these damnable scraggly hairs, and I am afraid of the razor. *trembles* My facial hair sucks.

Status report, I guess?
I started tweezing the right side of my face around March-April (2011?), and I let it grow out for the most part over the past couple days. I haven't tweezed in several weeks. I can say that I notice a 40% decrease in permanent hair. There's some stubs still, but a lot less than I expected. So, I'd say that if you tweeze or wax your facial hair with some regularity, you will see some hair loss. However, the analysis I've seen behind this phenomenon is random destruction of the hair follicle DNA, denaturing it in such a way through the violence of tweezing that it doesn't grow back. Given the resilience I've seen, I'd say then that if you are super hairy, the likelihood of you decreasing your facial hair with tweezing/waxing is at its highest when you first do it. The likelihood of cellular destruction with fewer hair is just going to decrease. I'll also note that tweezing the right side is almost painless and easy to do now, compared to when I started. Like, I could grip a bunch and rip them out at once, and it doesn't hurt at all. I'd wax if I could afford it at this point, I'm not afraid of it at all.

Facial Hair Update: I trimmed my beard a couple weeks ago and its back to the way it was before I trimmed it. The most annoying thing is that after about 2 weeks, it stops growing and just gets denser.

Thinking of doing a clean shave and just letting it grow out until about Lunar New Year, then shaving/trimming it for that.

Not that everyone around me likes it at much as I do, some do though, but I don't give a shit about that :P |

I am growing a beard at the behest of my friend. Only been going four days now though. At least it turns out the hair on my face is no thinner than that on my head is anyway (#malepatternbaldness). Also had a haircut so my hair is super short now. I may post a picture in a couple weeks or so, if it doesn't turn out completely crap.
