First of all, I withheld PMing you the moment I saw the hatch -- seconds after it was posted -- because my personal sense of ethical behavior is to not bombard people with grabby greedy PMs the moment they hatch something I want. I was up until 3am but you did not post before I went to bed. I figured that if you wanted to give Minccino away, you would say so in the morning.

Please do not rescind that offer now. With all due respect to sweetbbydoll ...

• She already knocked me out of getting another of my wants, a Smoochum, when something similar happened with Shadowshocker. (I was willing to offer more but he decided to go with her because she came first.) If you wanted to do first come, first serve, then you should never have entertained subsequent offers.
• I have wanted a female Minccino since the day I rejoined FB over two years ago.
• I have been trying to hatch a female Minccino for the past year. With only two exceptions -- one Ice Glacier Egg at Christmas and one accidental Normal Pound Egg without the '2' attached -- I believe I have requested a Normal 2 Pound Egg every single time.
• I'm offering you exactly what you asked for.
• And I did so without complaint, even when I saw your original, unedited post which claimed that I was in the lead with the bauble and that it would fall to sweetbbydoll to sweeten the deal if she wanted to outbid me.

If you want to do a coin flip, then that is your call. But if you're going to do a coin flip, then I'm only going to offer you the same amount as she is offering you -- five candies. If you want the Leaf Stone, then you'll have to agree to trade it to me without any pretense of a coin flip.

You weren't screwed over by PM trading. At least not by me you weren't. I have always been 100% public with every trade I've conducted, including the Foongus trade. I cross-posted every single offer you and Tyoyo made in this very thread, with or without your permission. You two both knew what the other person was offering at every step of the way. Because I'm ethical like that. The reason you lost to Tyoyo was because I went with the better offer, no hard feelings to either one of you, and Tyoyo made it. You did not. You offered candies (and coins?) and Tyoyo matched your offer and threw on two Pokémon on top of that. Why would I say you were the winner? You were outbid. Publicly, I might add, thanks to my sense of fair play.

This is entirely different. You have someone who put something up for public sale. Then you have someone else making a public offer followed by a private message requesting that the seller immediately de-list the item and register it as sold to them. Then, as if that wasn't bad enough, you have the vendor entertaining a second party's offer, even telling him at one point that he was in the lead ... before coming to him and saying, "Well, can you sweeten the deal for me? " The second person does sweeten the deal ... only to be told, "Ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh technically you never had a prayer because I already privately promised it to the first person. Sorry! ^^;"

Anyway, we'll just have to see what happens. But you should be offering Treep your sympathies rather than making mirth at his expense.

Talon, if you knew how many people were actually screwed over by PM trading in the past...granted it hasn't happen too often in recent times, but still...yeah there was a reason why "No PM trades" became a popular thing in the White Market in the past year.

Is that passive aggressive I'm reading or is that just me?

Either way I changed my mind *shrug*. Clicking on Sweetbbydoll's membership post and seeing she had nothing other than candies to offer gave me a different approach. I've dangled Pokemon in the White Market before and been pleased by the outcome. Thought I'd try it again

I don't understand what you're trying to say here, but it sounds like you're saying you've decided to go with sweetbbydoll's offer. :\ If that's the case, I can't tell you how disappointed I am. But oh well, that's your decision. My offer of five candies and a Leaf Stone is still on the table.

So, apparently I had one of those so-lifelike-you'd-swear-it's-real dreams last night. Dreamt that Treep posted a response with four short paragraphs in which he laid out the rules for a contest. It wasn't exactly as full blown as something like the Raikou Race. It was more like a creative writing contest. As in the dream, I saw this post last night around 4am and then went to bed, resolving to reply the next morning. When I woke up, I realized it might have all been a dream. Checked the thread. Alas.

Offer male Pidove and female Pidove for trade. Kinda hoping that they'll get adopted together but I know it's not likely.

Dave expresses a desire to have the male but says he is sure he doesn't want the female. Sad but oh well. :') I'm sure she'll find a home. I'm glad that at least the guy did! ^^; Maybe they'll see each other again some day.

PP offers a trade for the female Pidove. I indicate to him that that's cool but I'd been planning to hold off on trading until the Friend Safari was revved up and I could offer her in exchange for a Safarimon I wanted that someone else would want to trade for a Pidove. Very unlikely that such a situation would occur, I told him, but let's just see anyway. He politely agrees.

Check the Cable Club today. See that Dave ended up trading the male Pidove I gave him ... to PP! :o

Realize that if PP gets the female Pidove as well, then they'll be back together again.

Yeah I felt bad holding onto the male Pidove knowing how badly PP wanted it. I know that if someone had a major want of mine only on a whim they'd let me have it seeing how much I want it. Plus, like you said, this way they'll likely be reunited.

Also on an obvious note, Arc is the sole bidder for Carvanha so far. Glad someone wants her!
