I just finished Kanon today. I'm not one for a huge analysis or anything like that, but I absolutely loved it. It was incredibly touching.

Personally though, I prefered Makoto (the Kitsune) over the others. Even if her story didn't mesh with the others, I'm glad she wasn't left out. I loved her personality, and it was so sad when she had to disappear, it was just as touching as as Ayu's story.

I moment I saw the first fox, I knew there was going to be a Kitsune who changed form. But Makoto was a red fox, who was the two-tailed kitsune briefly glimpsed behind the bushes in the forest?

The only thing I didn't like was how they kept dropping the girls to focus on another girl's arc, even though each end made me cry.
