So I just had the best rng roll of an egg house I have ever made and had to downgrade the roll for Dave because of lack of rarity in the Water eggs. Still, I'm sure he will be happy with what he hatched.

...you'd think so, wouldn't you. Figures the Starter luck kicks in on probably my most-disliked one ;; Not to sound ungrateful of course, it's a damn lucky hatch!

Sorry Stark, I'm sure someone else will be happy to take on the little guy though! I've got my Totodile so I'm happy either way, only sticking with Water 2 because I've got a fair few more common wants there and my remaining major want is extremely unlikely to hatch without a pass backing me up.

Still, that's a lot of Water-type Starters lately... wouldn't be surprised if a Squirtle and Oshawott crop up soonish. Out of interest, how do you 'downgrade' to a Starter?

I'm betting Stark rolled an Ultra Rare, and there aren't any Ultra Rare Water-types (besides fossils), which would make it necessary to downgrade to Super Rare, hence the Mudkip.

Speaking of the Mudkip, somebody please stop me before I succumb to the whim and bid on it.

Is Lapras not Ultra Rare then? Not sure what else would be a Water-type UR.

There are no Ultra Rare Water Types. Hence the downgrade on my very first Ultra Rare roll in almost two years of hatching eggs. Lapras is a Super Rare. Sorry to hear that Mudkip is one of your water dislikes. That's kind of bad luck. I'm sure you won't have any difficulty finding a home for it and maybe if it is a Lapras you are looking for someone will purchase one from the CfP and trade it to you straight up for your Mudkip.

These are the current Ultra Rare Pokemon. Once the new Egg House begins Fossils will be the only Ultra Rare pokemon.

Ah, makes sense. No worries man, like I said I've got my Totodile now so I'm happy, I was just going for the lower-level stuff like Barboach and Finneon for now. I'm not fussed about Lapras either - Only got about... 7 slots left and my aquatic transport needs are soon to be sorted out, it was just the only possible Ultra Rare that sprung to mind.

Like I said, I'm sure someone will be happy with him, that's good enough for me!
