UPN DND 2: the fellowship of the jhereg
okay, my previous dnd campaign had some unfortunate drops due to the summer ending and schedules going haywire. im making a casting call.
we currently have 2 stable players and two additional player who shows periodically. I'm looking for 2 or 3 players, beginners welcome. just post in this thread and a tribunal will vote on whether or not you're cool or not. no biggie. and we want to be able to play once a week for about 3~4 hours. we will set you up with character making tools and whatnot, and you will start off as level two.

currently have a ranger and a warlock and the two additional players is a thief and a barbarian.so you can be pretty much whatever you want in terms of role but i don't like duplicates.
edit: so far all the players are fellow upners, i have one maybe from a good friend of mine to join the game already. and the campaign will start anew in the city where the old campaign ended. and i will allow 4 different carrier paths and everyone may choose whichever the want. it is loosely based off the taltos series

Sort of beginner, played a dumbed down version with my brothers before my older brother went to college. I kinda want to make a new character so if I can play I'll need the character making tools.

I gotta make a AIM account... I'll go ahead and do that by tonight's end. If any of you beside Loki and Gr want it, let me know. I'll send it to you guys when I'm done.
On topic, I'm considering a Warlock or a Rogue, but I dunno which I'd be happier with. Any particular reason why I wouldn't go with one over the other? |

well so far i believe we have a warlock, thats what loki is but double check with him
as far as strikers go (both of those classes are, strikers are a class that deal heavy damage to a single target and usually dont have too much hp/defence) we already have 2 (ranger and loki again) but as far as answering your question, was loki not a warlock i would still suggest rougue only because they help out in a lot of outta combat situations with thievery and whatnot. they dont deal too much damage on a regular basis but they are fairly accurate, and when they bust out the moves they can mess up a boss pretty horribly. plus we need more frontline damage dealers anyway, because i know someone else chose wizard and the other is going to be a bard....... come to think of it.... you might end up being a tank as a thief lol unless the ranger switches to dual sword instead of bow ranger

Sorry about not contacting anyone about an AIM, AIM locked me out from making one for the next 24 hours due to their registration servers apparently being built out of poop

The info so far so i never have to repeat it
Previous Campaign Storyline
-Found an amulet infused with necrotic magic which caused the animals in the forest to go wild/feral. -Amulet has the crest of the Lavodes, Necromancy is illegal and classified as an ancient magic. -The closest Lavode lives near the city of Andrilankh, the capital of Drageria. City NPC’s / Career Options Overview (5 Total) Jhereg: Swindles Telka’s in various ways(gambling, loan sharking, assassinations). try to avoid Pheonix guards attention. Deal with the orcas either through trade or just thieving. Pheonix Guards: Police force within the city cracking down jhereg establishments, keeping the peace with the tekla citizens and/or protection details for Orca merchants and their goods. Dzur: Born warriors, offers combat boosts. Many Dzur are in the Phoenix Guards or work as mercenaries for the Orca. Morally hate Jhereg. Tekla: cheapest option and largest in numbers, has large information network Orca: (Shipping Traders) Offers Discounts when shopping and cheaper travel to faraway lands. Admission Processes o Tekla – 200 per person o Jhereg – 600 per person or working off debt o Orca - 400 per person or work off the debt o Phoenix Guards - given a small pittance to get fitted for a uniform and for a cheap weapon. (times you may use spells will go up with rank) o Dzur - Secret Admission Process Town Areas South Adrilankh: Slums - Tekla mostly live here cheapest houses (few shady businesses located within) Southern Markets – Highly populated with Tekla, Jhereg conduct a lot of business and Phoenix guards patrol the area . Few Dzur Merc’s / gamblers in the area. Area contains many restaurants, brothels, gambling rooms, bar’s, few stores that sell gear/weapons/armor Central Adrilankh: Bridge – Heavily populated, considered “town square” has Quest Boards, plenty from every house, heavily patrolled by Phoenix Guards. There is a central bank located there and there are no stores but plenty of street vendors. City Gates – Self Explanatory Border Docks – Shipping Area, Many Orca Merchants and Fishermen and Tekla workers. Light Phoenix Guard Presence, Dzur Mercenaries, and the occasional Jhereg are present. Northern Adrilankh: Government Buildings – All 17 houses are represented with their own wing in the imperial castle (act as consulates) with the main branch acting as the palace where the queen currently resides representing the house of the Phoenix. Temples – Many gods are worshiped in Adrilankh, here is where you would find a temple for either of them. Northern Markets – Nice Restaurants, homes, Bar’s. Moderate Phoenix Guard Patrols. Shops that sell armor/gear/weapons . Northern Suburbs – Rich Homes Misc: Phoenix Guards HQ –Located right outside of the city, near the City Gate. Mostly of the house of Dzur & Dragon (few Phoenix)

Who knew a bomb threat at a government bureaucratic building could bump all your friends from 2546th in line to the front of the line?
