Check out this news story ...
Immigration officer sacked for putting wife he didn't like on terror watch list

An immigration officer put his own wife on a terrorist watch list – so she could not get home from a trip to Pakistan. The officer was so sick of his partner that when she was visiting family overseas he added her name to the register of people banned from flights into the UK. When she went to the airport to get her return flight back, officials told her she could not board the plane and did not explain why. She called her husband, who promised to look into it – but left her stuck in Pakistan for THREE YEARS. He was sacked after bosses found out about his antics.

An immigration source said: “A lot of people may dislike their other halves but to do this takes it to the next level. Needless to say she was confused when she got to the airport as she had never been involved in anything criminal or terrorist related. “She obviously thought her husband, being an immigration officer, would be able to find out what was going on. Little did she know it was him who had put her on the list. By all accounts he then had the time of his life.”

The officer worked with a unit that puts terror and criminal suspects on the watch list of people “not conducive to the public good”. He simply had to log on to a computer database to add his wife as a potential suspect. The officer was caught out when bosses vetted him after he went for a promotion that required him to have a higher level of security clearance. They realised his wife was on the watch list and asked him for an explanation. He had no choice but to confess what he had done – and was fired. The immigration source added: “He may have lost his job but he is bit of a legend in immigration circles. It will be talked about for years as the officer who hated his wife so much he put her on a watch list.”

A spokesman for the UK Border Agency, based in Croydon, Surrey, said: “We expect the highest levels of integrity. Allegations of misconduct are thoroughly investigated and we always take action swiftly where we find members of staff who have abused their position. On the extremely rare occasions where this occurs, the strongest action is taken.”

This is fucking awesome.

EDIT: I know this is a bit late, but I forgot to mention something. I'm fully aware this is a fake product, and the person made this picture likely intended to insult liberals. However, I did not post this with the intention of insulting them. As you should know from my past posts of weird shit, and lack of involvement in political threads, that I merely posted it because it's bizarre and I thought it was awesome. I don't know enough about politics, nor will I ever pretend to know enough about them to insult someone for their political beliefs (unless even my ignorant ass can tell they're being retarded.)

That was pretty cool, Kuno. Makes me think the world community is going to have to tell people to either knock it off with the 3+ kids per family or else we'll knock it off for you (via castration). People say they have a right to have as many kids as they like, but that simply isn't the case when resources are limited. Just look at ANY of the science fiction stories where a group of men and women go on a decades-long (or longer) expedition across space. Unlimited procreation is NEVER an option.

EDIT: Well, this is nowhere near as cool as Kuno's comic nor as funny as Doppel's Millionaire screencap, but I did just see this in an episode of Star Trek while eating my lunch:

Riker: What's the safest way around?
Data: All routes are equally dangerous, sir.
Geordi: Well what's the least dangerous route, Data?
Data: There is no significant difference.

Geez, Geordi. -.-; That was pretty dumb.

This is pretty neat. Posting it here because I'm pretty dorky, I suppose, for thinking this is so cool that it's worth sharing with friends all over.

So I learned a really cool mnemonic device Japanese students apparently use to remember the year the Kamakura bakufu was established. I've memorized it as 1185 given the events of the Genpei War, but the official date is 1192 as that's the year that Yoritomo was officially given the title of shogun. So, how do they remember that particular year?

1 = ichi = i
1 = ichi = i
9 = kyuu (ku) = ku
2 = ni = ni

1 1 9 2 = i i ku ni = "ii kuni," a good nation

Thus, "a good nation" was established in 1192.

...

...

...

*crickets chirp*

Yeah. This is why I'm going to Hell for this post. Well I think it's interesting. *pout*

The only joke I see is the last question. In anime, whenever someone should spill cover on someone, they say "I'm sorry" a billion times. Gomennasai = I'm sorry.

You may all thank me for linking you to this amazingly well-done fan parody of the movie Predator after you're done watching it. Brought to you by the same team who did Conan the Barbarian: the Musical.

Looks completely awesome, though I'm struggling with the idea that it wouldn't hold interest for more than a few hours at most unless one got fetish highs from the voyeurism. I mean...ducking under benches in a girl's locker room? I could easily imagine the player having a camera instead.

Also, it was really bugging me that the player was making "pelvis shots" instead of "head shots". My gut instinct is to aim for the head. It was really tough to watch...

Certainly a valid criticism, but one that's pretty much standard fare for the rail shooting genre I think. I had Virtua Cop for the Saturn which was a good deal of fun, but it's not a game you can play for over an hour without it getting repetitive. If you could come back and progress through multiple sessions in this one it might hold interest on and off for a good while, rather than a couple of hours.

I can't imagine ever playing it though.

Reminds me of that story of the guy who banged a 10 year old girl he thought was 16 and the judge sided with him.

Yu Suzuki is going to hell.

For those who may not get the joke, this comment from the video page should elucidate matters:
