Talon87's Trading List

Unless otherwise specified, requests are for legitimate, non-hacked, non-Saved, non-Sharked creatures or items. I have Pokésav and could hack them into existence myself if that was all I cared about.

In general, I prefer fair trades. If something takes relatively little work to procure and/or I have excess supply of it (e.g. berries or a four-IV Pokémon from a family I did lots of breeding with), then I don't mind a charity trade. If something takes relatively more work, on the other hand, and/or I have a limited supply of it (e.g. a five-IV Pokémon, or even more extremely a five-IV Pokémon with a specific gender, nature, and ability), then I'm more inclined to insist on receiving something of equal value. This goes both ways: if you have a five-IV Pokémon for me when all I've asked for is a two or a three, I'm generally inclined to insist on trading you a five-IV Pokémon of my own in exchange. Fair is fair.

Re: Talon87's Trading List

You can get Choice Specs from the man inside the Celestic Town market. But depending on the time, he will give you Black Glasses or Wise Glasses instead. I think it was 4AM-10AM was Choice Specs.

Is it one-time only? I talked to him last night (around 1am) and he gave me the schpiel about Wise Glasses, which I had already received from him ages ago.

Re: Talon87's Trading List

I think you need to either check your DS's clock, which may have reset when you let your battery die while going to England. It should have had been the correct time. And yes, you can get all three.

Re: Talon87's Trading List

My DS battery is fine. (It never fully died because I never fully let it die. I played it until the light shone bright stop-light red, which freaked me out, and then I threw it down like a sissy girl onto my backpack and picked up RoTK.)

I was playing from 12:40pm to ~2:00am last night, and it was always Wise Glasses. Really frustrated me. Today at 10:06am, I tried it, and I got the BlackGlasses. So I'm guessing you were right and the time window for Choice Specs is either now (early evening) or way later (mid-early morning like 5am or 6am).

Re: Talon87's Trading List

My mother woke me up today with the garden hose on full strength. Humorous as that may sound, I have to spoil your fun by clarifying that it was the sound of the water pounding against the bedroom window which woke me. Anyway, awoken, I decided to groggily turn on my DS "for great justice" and sleepily made my way to Celestic Town where I got my Choice Specs. Finally. Being as tired as I was and wanting to go back to bed, the message the glasses guy gave me after he handed over the Choice Specs really pissed me off. But for the life of me, I can't remember what on earth it was he said.

Anyway, Choice Band and Choice Scarf can theoretically be purchased ad infinitum, but the Choice Specs are (lamely) a one-time wonder, so I'm going to have to ask that people who have cloned these babies still take my request to heart and consider giving me a spare pair in exchange for something. If for some freak reason you don't have infinite money and need me to give you some of the Casino TMs, I have one copy of Giga Impact and another four of Substitute that I would be willing to part with if it meant getting one of your spare Choice Specs. Gyro Ball and the elemental beams are also possibilities. (Giga Impact costs 20000 coins, or $400,000)

Re: Talon87's Trading List

Why would you want more than one Choice Specs? More then 2 Pokemon holding a Choice item can be crippling. And if you want 2 teams using them, is it so hard to just take one off of one and put it on the other?

Re: Talon87's Trading List

I want two Choice Specs because I would like to try the following team for the WiFi battles one does at Battle Tower:

1 - Staraptor @ Choice Band
2 - Starmie @ Choice Specs

3a - Gengar @ Choice Specs
3b - Tyranitar @ Choice Band
3c - Mismagius @ Choice Specs

It's not for competitive battling. It's just for pwning my way through 7 WiFi trainers in a row so that I can be considered "elite" for that room. :P ^_^;

Re: Talon87's Trading List

I got a Helix Fossil tonight when I went underground to try to find more Moon Stones, so I updated the list to remove Omanyte / Omastar.

Also, thought I should add ... I may have something to offer after all that Muyo and Blast, while they CAN offer it IN THEORY, may not necessarily have handy immediately. And that is stones. At this very moment, I have ...
- 9 Water Stones
- 7 Leaf Stones
- 8 Shiny Stones
- 7 Dusk Stones
- 5 Dawn Stones

(and then I have 4 Moon Stones, 3 Fire Stones, and 1 Sun Stone that aren't up for sale :P )

So if you're not somebody who always keeps a Linoone handy (like I do), and if you're not somebody who enjoys digging in the Underground (like I do), then I'll be happy to compensate you by trading you a Crapmon w/ one of the stones listed aboved attached. Your choice, naturally.

Yo. Advising you that you can plant berries with impunity, if you end up losing anything, I've got well over a hundred of the EV reducers and Lum, and about 30 each of Liechi, Salac, and Ganlon. I can help you out if you lose anything.

Re: Talon87's Trading List

Update on my stone situation ...

11 Water Stones
09 Leaf Stones
07 Moon Stones
(Shiny, Dusk, Dawn = same as before)

I'll be using one of those Moon Stones today to evolve a Jigglypuff for 'dex completion purposes, but I've already evolved most of the grass-types who use Leaf Stones (all I have left are Vileplume and Nuzleaf's evo, name escaping me atm), and I have evolved every Water Stone user, so I have 11 "worthless" stones on hand.

Re: Talon87's Trading List

Just captured a Krabby, so I took him off of the needs list.

Then I realized that I have spent so much time hunting for Lucky Eggs and didn't have that on my Wants list yet.

Finally, I acquired a Shuca Berry from a random Ponyta, so that increases my tally of elemental berries by 1.

EDIT: S_M approached me and we worked out a mutually beneficial deal which ended in me getting to temporarily own Magmortar, Dusknoir, Porygon2, and Porygon-Z (all new for me), and in permanently acquiring Dewgong and Beedrill. Thus, I removed Seel / Dewgong and Weedle / Kakuna / Beedrill from my Needs list.

Re: Talon87's Trading List

I've got a spare Lugia (played through XD twice ^^), so if you still need it in about 3 weeks, I should have Diamond, have completed the game and set up Wi-Fi by then. xD

Got an Ekans and Paras too, I think. Not sure about Paras though.

Could have a spare Latias too if I get off my arse and catch the one running around on Sapphire. >>;

But yeah, like I said, if you still need in 3 weeks. :P

Re: Talon87's Trading List

Yeah, I could really use that Ekans and Paras. It's getting really annoying having slots 22, 23, 46, and 47 empty in my Kanto Dex. I can trade them to you in exchange for Pearl-exclusive creatures or (even better) RBYGSCRSE non-one-time-only creatures that you do not have access to.

Re: Talon87's Trading List

Update: yesterday, I finally got the Flying Berry, completing my set of the Elemental Resistance Berries. I am proud, since I didn't have to trade once for any of them. Having the full set is indeed nice, and a little liberating (since I don't have to worry about not having one in case the metagame ever shifts to demand a certain Elemental Berry on a particular creature).

I'm currently working on getting Mankey and Eevee to evolve into Primeape and Umbreon (the last of my Eeveelutions). Still waiting on a charitous soul to offer up an Ekans, Paras, Shellder, and Tangela in exchange for crap or my offered goods.

For an Omanyte, which I know you have, I would gladly trade you a Tangela. My FC is 3136 3176 3940. I'll be on all night.

Talon is MIA as far as I know, busy with school and such. Don't know when he can trade again so I think I'll just lock this thread.

TM 38 is Fire Blast. Shadow Ball is TM 30, which is infinite at 64 BP in Battle Tower of D/P/Pt.

Do you realize how fucking long it takes to get 64BP?

I still don't even have all if the power items. Just the Lens and Ankle Bracelet.

You're SICK if you're going to tell me you already have one of everything from the Battle Frontier without having used a cheat program to get them. Sick, I tell you! >_<
