Sil and Umbra trailed the Carbink, watching it crash through sugar trees and smash through peanut brittle mountains as it charged to the center of the island, drawn towards the power spot that had infused it with Galar particles. Their trek led them across a peanut butter swamp, through the sugary depths of a licorice jungle, over a plain of marshmallows, the confection sticking to their soles. Finally, they came to a tall mountain covered in sugary powder, a gaping cavern cut into its side. From the looks of it, it appeared that the cave was made of brownies, the chocolatey desserts crumbling down into the valley below.
But what caught their attention was not the assortment of tasty treats, but rather the giant, glowing Carbink in front of them and the raging storm above its head. The bejeweled rabbit had finally stopped its charge, hovering over the center of the valley ominously. Despite its cutesy looks, and the candyland of tasty wonders surrounding them, the red glow that illuminated the Jewel Pokémon and the dark stormy backdrop gave it quite the menacing look. Its dull blue eyes, empty of any emotion, bored right into Sil and Umbra, before shifting to something rustling behind them. The other raiders were starting to arrive, along with their chosen Pokémon. Sil spotted an icy Sandshrew not unlike her own, along with an icicle covered Sandslash. In spite of her fear, Sil couldn’t help but admire the beauty of its frozen spikes, the red light that washed over them complimenting the Sandslash’s cool blue hues. Another evolutionary pair showed up, a Horsea and a Kingdra, seemingly swimming through the air. The last to arrive were a trio of Steel types, an impressive-looking Corviknight, a power Excadrill, and an odd-looking Lucario wrapped up in ragged bandages like a Dusclops cosplayer. Umbra felt his tension dissolve a little as he looked over his fellow raiders. With several fully-evolved Pokémon now on his side, their fight against Carbink didn’t seem so dire anymore. “Alright Umbra,” Sil said, looking up at their gemstone foe, “time for a Giga Drain!” Giga Drain (75 BP)

As cool as it would be to build a giant igloo, since this is your first battle let's start off small with a METAL CLAW (50 BP), shall we?

Dynamax Boss Carbink ★★★★ Health Gauge: 80% Shields Up: 0 Status: +1 Sp. AtkAtk, +1 Def Attack 1: Meteor Beam (120 BP) PG, Alolan Sandslash: 102 HP Attack 2: Max Steelspike (130 BP) Connor, Horsea: 193 HP Attack 3: Dazzling Gleam (80 BP) Yuki, Alolan Sandshrew: 301 HP Raid Challengers:
With the first round up, the trainers watch as the Sea horses boost their crit and about everyone else goes in hard on using their steel moves. Carbink, noticing that the trainers are trying to abuse its weakness, shows that it's not here to play around. It calls towards the skies and unleashes a powerful Meteor Beam, boosting its Special Attack before hitting the ALolan Sandslash hard. It then sets up a Max Steelspike, while it does hit Horsea for resisted damage, it gains a crucial defense buff. Carbink then shines its inner light and lets out a Dazzling GLeam, dealing respecable damage despite the resisted hits. Dynamax Initiative: Raves, Kingdra

Dynamaxing now we have the chance, and launching a Max Geyser off Hydro Cannon (150 BP, Focus Energy and Razor Claw make it critical, Sniper).

“Alright Umbra, time for a Giga Drain!” The Pumpkasaur charged forward, his feet digging into the ground, kicking up bits of taffy-grass. The giant Carbink glared down at him, watching his advance with a wary eye. As he got close to the gemstone monster, he lunged forward as bright green orbs formed around him. Vine-like tendrils of energy burst forth, wrapping themselves around the gemstone covered rabbit. They dug into its stone hide as it flinched in pain. Just as the emerald vines faded, the Corviknight swooped in, its wings shining with a metallic gleam. A horrific screech came from the rabbit as the raven’s wings dug into its rocky body, cutting a deep gash in its side. The bandaged Lucario followed afterwards, slamming its glowing fist into the giant Carbink, leaving a multi-faceted crater in one of its gemstones. The Iceshrew and Iceslash lashed out with dual Steel type attacks as the ground erupted from below, sending chunks of brownie and melted chocolate flying. The Carbink staggered back, scraping off part of the mountain next to it. It shook off the bits of sugary powder, sprinkles, and brownie crumbs as it began to glow and glitter like the night sky. Umbra was enchanted by the beautiful sight--at least, until the Carbink pulverized the Alolan Sandshrew with a blast of energy with the power of a falling meteor. Metal spikes then burst up from the ground underneath the Horsea, sending bits of sugary frost up into the air. The jewels on the Carbinks body began to glow with a dazzling light, shining like the sun, before the Pokémon emitted a brilliant flash. Umbra shook his head and squinted his eyes, bright spots appeared in his vision and his head swirled. As a more nocturnal variant of Bulbasaur, his eyesight wasn’t suited for such a blast of piercing light. Once his vision recovered, he glared up at the glittering rock monster before amping himself up for another Giga Drain. Giga Drain (75 BP)

Assuming the Raid Boss is in shields now, let's hit it with Power-Up Punch (40 BP, raises the user's Attack stat by 1 stage).

Dynamax Boss Carbink ★★★★ Health Gauge: 65% Shields Up: 2 Status: +2 Sp. AtkAtk, +1 Def, Sandstorm (4 Turns Remaining) Attack 1: Meteor Beam (120 BP) Mask, Croviknight: 184 HP Attack 2: Max Rockfall (130 BP) Connor, Horsea: 0 HP [KO'd] Attack 3: Dazzling Gleam (80 BP) Yuki, Alolan Sandshrew: 193 HP Raid Challengers:
THe Sea Horses unleases their power. The Horsea fails to crit, but the Kingdra does, and deals a massive amount to Carbink, forcing up shields. The rest of the trainers wittle away at the shields, leaving two remaining by the end of the round. Carbink, realizzing its already in massive danger, becomes extremely aggresive. It once again uses Meteor Beam, this time scoring a massive hit onto the Corviknight. It then sets up Sandstorm with Max Rockfall, to help wither the special attacks. It also scores a KO on the Horsea. It then let's out another Dazzling Gleam, claiming the Alolan Sandslash and doing a number on the other four Pokemon affected. THis is definetly a damage race at this point Dynamax Initiative: Raves, Kingdra

Umbra watched with utter fascination as the wrist, no, wristband, of the trainer with the Kingdra began to shine with a brilliant red light, not unlike the glow enveloping the Dyanamaxed Carbink. The trainer took out a cybernetic blue Pokéball, streamers of light jumping from their wristband to the capture mechanism, and recalled their Kingdra. With a flash, the Pokéball enlarged, becoming so massive that the trainer bent under its weight. The trainer heaved, and tossed the ball high into the air, which burst open and Umbra gasped as a massive Kingdra taller than the tallest trees materialized, glowing red with a trio of clouds orbiting above its horns. The Kingdra took aim at his foe, scanning for the crumbling chinks in the rock, the cleavage planes in the crystal, the weak points on the Carbink. His eyes narrowed as he spotted his target, and he launched a blast of high-pressure water at a particular spot where the rock met the gemstone--a critical hit! The Carbink let out a squeak as it staggered back as chunks of rock tumbled off its body into the valley below, droplets of rain eroding it further. With the Kingdra dealing massive damage even on its own, the Carbink realized it would be a damage race, hinging on whoever could hit the hardest. Determined to overwhelm the opposition, the Carbink unleashed a beam of energy at the Corviknight, before crushing the Horsea underneath a mountain of rock candy, kicking up a rainbow colored sandstorm. Umbra let out a soft whimper as the sugar power cleared, seeing the crumpled form of the Horsea, lying unconscious. However, before Umbra had time to comprehend what happened to his ally, he was blinded by a shining light. The gemstone rabbit launched another Dazzling Gleam, the brilliant light claiming the Alolan Sandslash. Umbra squinted his eyes, glaring up at the Carbink. The flame in his jack-o-lantern burned a little bit brighter. Giga Drain (75 BP)

Shields are down and our Dynamaxed ally has attacked, so we might as well attack too! Meteor Mash (90 BP, 20% chance to raise the user's Attack stat by 1 stage)!
(Sorry for not mentioning this last round, but Lucario is holding Mummy Bandages, which raise his defenses by 20%.)
