I have never loved a legendary so much before.

While I think she's cuter in her base form, I'm pretty sure that Mega Diancie will fit in on my currently mega-less OU team decently well. The only question for me will be whether running a second Fairy type in Togekiss is more of a liability than a boon.

But we'll see!

So long as I can play with her in some capacity (3DS, VGC 2014), I'll be glad. Disappointed to not be able to use her in OU when others have terrorized me with their own bullshit legendaries, sure, but still glad to be able to use her somewhere. Not gonna lie: the picture on the right looks kinda crappy.

May looks weirdly small next to Steven and the grass and water both look more unnatural than they did in XY. But I appreciate what they're trying to do, as evidenced by 1) their respect for fans' love of water reflections, first introduced in the Gen 3 games, and 2) the entity you've drawn attention to.

Maybe it's just a weird angle.

Maybe it's because May is technically only 10 years old! Hadn't really thought of that. In all of the promo artwork we've seen of ORAS May, it's been all too easy to think of her as being the same age as our fifteen-year-old stars of BW and XY. But of course the heroes of Gens 1, 2, and 3 were each 10 years old when they set off on their journeys. Maybe Game Freak is actually paying attention to that detail by placing May (and presumably also Brendan) in tinier bodies than the young adult characters like Steven.

Still not a fan of that grass and water though. Something about it looks too ... I dunno, "too rich and chromatically pure." The water looks too cerulean. The grass looks too green. Meh. Small complaints.

Thankfully only small complaints.

It's not really much of a beta when we're only five months away from the street date. It can still be patched before then, I agree, as it's only a height variable on a 3-D character model. But it's unlikely to be patched given that, as far as I can recall, nothing we saw in the XY trailers was changed by the time the games came out in October last year. Even the January 2013 trailer's content was all entirely preserved, was it not?

We'll just have to wait and see whether they change it or not, whether it looks as funky on a 3DS as it does in a still picture, etc.

In the trailer Jeri posted, it definitely looked like Primal Groudon and Primal Kyogre used new moves. We'll see!

I'd say the graphics were sharpened up a good deal between the trailers and XY, so I think things will probably look at least a bit cleaner than they are now.

Well Unburden specifies using the item, not necessarily (but usually) involving getting rid of it. I would assume that the Mega Evolution would trigger Unburden.
