Sounds reasonable. Anyone willing to send me their .sav file?

I don't have one or I'd offer to do it right now. (I don't have the rom in question, sorry.) What you might want to try while you wait for someone better prepared to help you out is ... (this'll only work if the game overwrites the entire save file rather than merely updating it) ... you might want to try placing a .sav file from the real Pokemon Black or Pokemon White into the folder. Start the game up. See if it'll take you to the main menu screen. And then the moment it does, decide to start a new adventure and save at the first opportunity you get. But I anticipate that this could fail, so in the event that it does, you'll want to try getting a Blaze Black/Volt White save file before you completely write this tactic off.

You want me to google b/w .sav file, then? Because I don't have one right now.

Just wait for someone to get you a save file from the actual rom. -.- (Seriously? )

The reason I was asking is because I didn't know if I was supposed to have a B/W one, or even a B/W ROM.
I wasn't attempting to be sarcastic (or stupid), I was just clarifying. His documentation includes pretty much only game-change information, no set-up stuff. |

This happened to me when I tried to use No$GBA. Use Desmume instead.

I downloaded DeSmuME and Volt White, but it plays in slow motion. Does anyone have an idea why and what further information you'd need to help please?

There's some settings you need to adjust, but I don't recall what. Google and fool around with them a little.
I got all the way to the E4 with no problem on an emulator, so it should work fine if you tinker a bit. |

Use No$gba. It has a boot issue which can be fixed by an Action Replay Code which is given in the Blaze Black Documentation. It runs well even at 2x the speed.
