That would work amazingly well if we lived in a world where video games were not so easy to crack. Nintendo could give everybody 10 free eggs in the next Pokémon game but stipulate that the eggs can never hatch unless you were to use some WiiFit pedometer accessory which would make sure you were really walking the appropriate number of steps. "2500 steps to hatch this Igglybuff. 5000 steps to hatch this Rhyhorn. 25000 steps to hatch a legitimate Beldum with great IVs. And 150,000 steps to hatch a Mewtwo that we've custom-designed to be 2x resistant to Dark-type attacks instead of 2x weak to them."

Ignoring the question of how you could hatch a Mewtwo, lol, this'd get a lot of kids off their butts.
