I really really wish they would make it so PK Thunder doesn't put you into helpless.

Well... Yes they did.. If the enemy had enough damage for Bowser to have control, he won. |

Can attest to what Kyro says, Bowsercide works fine even with one stock left.

Lots of Lucario because he was my Brawl main, but I've been drifting between a few characters. I might consider someone else depending on how bad the influx of Lucarios is. (Thanks so much Zero. -.-) Just because I hate playing the same character as everyone else. Robin, but similar situation as Lucario. Also, I've kind of taken an interest Kirby...

This x1000000000 pls. I'm starting to enjoy using Ness for the first time in my years of Smash but PK Thunder making you helpless is just awful :x

Bowsercide removed? GOD DAMN IT NINTENDO
Also, if I'm reading you right Kyro, Nintendo themselves didn't release this patch info? Are you kidding me? That seems kind of important. |

All they said was that they implemented balance changes. People are datamining and testing at the moment to figure out exactly what was changed.

It's purely through testing. No one has cracked the 3DS yet and can't data mine it.

That's odd, we datamined the ORAS demo.

Just going to say: Including the Orne in Smash Run was an awful idea. It adds nothing fun or challenging to the game. Just "RUN AWAY RUN AWAY!"
(I may be a little annoyed as I was about to take out a Reaper, Bonkers and one of the giant red armed things at the same time when an Orne came out of nowhere and ruined my party.)

Bowsercide removed? That breaks my heart. I can confirm however that Wavelanding is still there, so the claw remains very useful. A bit hard to pull off, but such a beast tech when mastered.
Honestly though, Bowser has so much more tools at his disposal this time around in comparison to Brawl, that I feel that loss of Bowsercide isn't going to be that big of a deal to Bowser mains. It isn't even a complete loss as it's still effective against a portion of the cast, just not the entirety of it and never on the final stock. |

So vectoring got removed. Now it's old DI. I'm happy.

So...what does tech mean in this since...and Vectoring for that matter.

Well, no, iirc ORAS wasn't datamined, it was just leaked (or I think there was something special about the demo that made it readable?). I'd be mighty surprised (and impressed) if we were somehow able to datamine 3DS games already since that far surpasses all expectations.

Oh thank god this will fix a lot of the kill problems.
Vectoring was neat but man DI is so much better strategically. > So...what does tech mean in this since...and Vectoring for that matter. DI (i.e. Directional Influence) is your ability to influence the direction you're pushed in when hit with knockback. Controlling knockback through DI is really important to helping certain characters stay alive longer since they can either DI themselves into a situation in which they can tech back control or DI away from a blastzone. Vectoring was a similar mechanic that replaced DI in Smash 4 where by holding the circle pad in a direction it added a slight extra force, or vector, that influenced your direction. So you could hold it in the opposite direction of the knockback and essentially cancel out a significant chunk of it. Where as DI is a more subtle mechanic, since you can only have a slight influence of the general direction, Vectoring was much more powerful, since you could directly negate knockback in some cases. That said, it did make jabs and whatnot better but with infinites now out that wasn't as important as it used to be. |

So I picked up Sm4sh 3DS (yes, the one that's been out for a while and you lot have been playing the whole time, instead of the one that just came out today and I had originally been waiting for; life sucks) and dear GOD am I made of pure rust. Lucina is my babe though and everything I always wanted for those fights as Marth where the opponent is too slippery to reliably hit with the tip of your sword.

Well, no, that's what I was talking about. I'm pretty sure 3DS is still mostly unhackable.
