Right now I can't beat fucking Gary (after Giovanni). Argh.

Blaine was easy. I typed out my strategy but server rollback lost it. Swords Dance Scyther + Parafusion Butterfree.

Managed to beat Gary. He was super fucking hard with Pidgeot + Ryhorn. But when I was playing through, apparently I flew over to Pallet and went down for Blaine, and forgot about a ton of water trainers. So I set Parasect up for massive exp and grinded like a mofo on all the trainers to get him to 51 for Giga Drain. Giga Drain is gonna save Christmas, especially when doing E4. 5 uses on it is kinda shitty as hell, I only got 1 PP up too. :/

Team right now is:
49 Butterfree
48 Scyther
48 Beedrill
51 Parasect

Just beat Lance. It was super hard but I had to be cheap and use my 6 candies on Scyther to get it up to 62 but holy shit did it kick butt lol.

Team now is:

53 Parasect
54 Butterfree
52 Beedrill


And now for Gary. Basically Beedrill had no real use so far. Butterfree/Parasect helped a bit with Parafusion/Spore but Swords Dance ruined most of the E4.

Can't beat Gary. :/ 3 of his Pokemon rape my team. Best I managed to do was beat Pidgeot + Rhydon but I could never take more then 1/2 off the health on Arcanine. Sucks too cause I saved right before Gary so.. kinda boned.

Might be doable if I use these revives ive been getting to stall out his Fthrower but.. that's the only possible way since I'm almost out of recovery items (that ive found on the ground).

Edit: nvm Fthrower is 15 PP, pretty sure I don't have that many revives and such.

I'm at Mt Moon, I've realised the Hiker with two Geodude and an Onix might be a bit tricky with a L18 Beedrill.

So what do I do? I'm kinda stuck before gary and no real way to win.

Not much you can do really, did you fight basically every trainer in the game to get those levels?

I can look for more healing items + rare candies. But right now I'm kind of stuck here with no way to get out other than losing. But losing means no more dudes.

As we've said, rules are far from concrete, either reset to before E4 if you can do that on your emulator or just lose and keep your Pokemon.

If Concept is ok with it I'll do that. Also anyone have a way to find where I can get candies in FR? The other E4 guys arn't too bad, but Gary's 'mon are just so high level and varied that it kicks my ass.
