Yeah, Pendulums sounds bad in theory, but it's actually really clumsy and pretty fragile. To make it viable, cards will have to be insanely powerful (like Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon) and there's already a number of anti-support cards, like the glorious Spacetime Trap Hole, to stop it (versus XYZs which had very little anti-support when they came out).

Just going to find some food, but if anyone fancies a game in about half an hour I could use at least one or two games practice before the tournament happens.

Why you should never, ever, use Maxx C against a competent Infernity player. It will not go well for you.

I think I would have preferred to Maxx "C" deck out as opposed to him doing that for another three fukken hours in order to banish the rest of my deck one card at a time.

The intent of Maxx "C" is to both give cards and draw into other hand traps to disrupt the opponent. That's why it's so devastating in Agents...most Infernity players die to it if it's dropped anyway, even with triple Barrier. I know.

Well, I think the issue is that the XYZ-version of Infernities can't loop as well as the more synchro-based variety. The synchro based version, as we saw, can loop near endlessly.
>Rather wait for the Maxx "C" deck out than banishing one card at a time Yeah I'm with you there. Not sure how well Infernity can loop Trishula, but if I remember correctly the version with three Launcher was...really well known for it.

So I had a duel with Lost (who should post here, trust me we don't mind beginners!), and I had my first "real" duel with tellaknights.
Spoiler: show That just shows all of my "wat" on this deck. At first it seemed awfully generic and n00bish, but this deck is just insane. The card effects go off whenever the monster is Summoned. That's right. Normal Summon, Flip Summon, Special Summon. All of it. Soul Charge is a +4 after reviving just Altair and Vega. This deck can score a +3 off of a bloody counter Trap. (Here is how it works. Use Celestial Factor, sending Delatheros to the Graveyard and drawing a card. Delatheros activates, SSing Altair from the deck (+1). Altair activates, SSing Deneb from the Graveyard (+1). Deneb activates, giving you a search. (+1).) Delatheros completely removes the threat of backrow in response to a summon, meaning cards like Bottomless, Torrential and such are useless. Not to mention he pops cards and again he floats. This deck is ridiculous. Would not be surprised if this was a Protag deck.

The only thing that bothers me about Satellaknights is it pretty much mandates running counter trap negation. If you remove one of the component pieces so they can't go into delta, they just go for the Rank 4 toolbox (which is stupid and broken). Altair and Deneb are the only real problem cards in the archetype, however.
Of the three new archetypes (Satellaknights, Cosmic Dragons, Shadolls) Satellaknights are definitely the worst, and they're almost completely obsoleted by Pendulum Summons. Edit: By "worst" I mean "weakest". Shadolls are far more powerful, and Cosmic Dragons with a good field even tougher. Neither has access to Rank 4, however.

Technically Shadolls can use Rank 4 by overlaying Dragon and Lizard, but there really isn't a point to it. I'd rather do something like Quilla + Midrash.

Also Shadollfacts has a terrible match-up with Evilswarm. You know what this means, I'm avoiding the Ophion spam on DN again.

I'll be on DN for a while to test a deck. Someone who's pretty solid on rules would be nice to duel.

I'm not sure if I should feel happy that that statement implies I'm not a scrub. I mean, did you SEE how many times you had to point shit out to me?

Sneezey and I had a few games. I was mean and used what is far and away my best deck to face off against his in-testing Harpies, but he still put up a solid fight both times. I do not like Harpies Phantasmal Dragon. I did get to summon Gustav Max and Galaxy Destroyer in successive games, though, which is always fun.

Harpie's Phantasmal Dragon is just the ultimate dick move. It's great.
Sneeze, have you considered still running the 1 Divine Wind? It makes cracktacular plays with Dancer.

Sneezey and I played three games against each other, both using Mythic Dragon Rulers, though definitely different builds. I was disappointed that none of the cards I sided in turned up, but I think the advantage of going first (and the disadvantage of me planning out moves only to realize after I revealed a card that they were illegal) might have been too strong for me to overcome anyway.

If you do, you will definitely want to add a Genex Ally birdman or another Level 3 tuner so you can go into Ancient Fairy Dragon.

A bunch of new cards were announced in the latest V-Jump, most of which (especially Satellaknight and Shadoll) are broken. There's also two new Heralds, one of which is a meh Synchro. But the real treasure is this one:

Scrap is better in a few ways:
-Scrap's effect is a "once per turn" effect, rather than an effect with a condition like Yazi. That means if you summon two Scrap Dragons, you can use both of their effects in one turn, while you can't with multiple Yazi. -Yazi has to destroy a Wyrm type, while Scrap could destroy any card on the field. -Scrap has more attack For generic use, Scrap is better but Scrap is Level 8. This being Level 7, with Leo's protection effect (I believe I've mentioned Leo is too un-wieldly to use as Level 10) seals it as the best Level 7. I'm finally getting use to Black Rose Dragon, but this is so much harder to get rid of and still has the destruction effect.

Yazi is just asking to be read as Nazi with a Y instead of as either Yaji or Yazee.

Here are the links:
Herald of Rainbow Light The Herald actually has a Macro Cosmos effect, but while useful against the likes of say Bujin, that locks out Effect Veiler as a disruption card. The negation effect is powerful, but the card's pitiful stats make it almost completely useless unless used with Yang Zings.
