James, as the spring fled away from the world to usher in the new season, was walking through the streets of downtown Fizzytopia. The shops of the world were peaceful, with few others walking their concrete paths and even fewer on the streets. Nothing seemed out of place at all; except for, of course, the yells and electrical buzzes from the Coins for Prizes shop. This was James’ destination, or at least that general area. Screams for help were usually a good thing to follow, right?

And as such, he turned into a back alley and on the other side of the buildings, he found a strange (and pretty amusing) sight. Two men were struggling with long, iron poles topped by a wire ring to subdue a floating orange and blue orb, while another cowered behind a truck parked in the street, filled with yelps of “Vee!” and “Caaast!”. James couldn’t help but chuckle at the chaos, but soon enough ran over to the cowering man who looked at James with a fearful look.

“H-help! That Rotom refuses to get in the truck!” The man, who looked wealthy, said, stumbling through most of the words. James just shook his head and gave a quiet chuckle, before reaching to his belt for a Pokeball.

“Alexander, help us out a bit.” James said, tossing the ball up into the air as a green bird appeared from the ball. He glided towards the Rotom, and the men’s wire holds on the Plasma Pokemon were forgotten as the ghost phased towards Alexander.

“Who do you think you are, HMMM?” The Rotom said, and threw his arm at Alexander. He flapped up, the lighting arcing beneath him, as his eyes glowed white and the Rotom was knocked back. His eyes took on wrath filled look, and let loose a THUNDER SHOCK at the Natu. This one struck head on, and Alexander fell to the ground from the direct hit. James took a step back before returning his avian ally.

“Why don’t you just put the damn thing in a pokeball?” James yelled at the man, and he shook his head.

“That would mean money wasted on the Pokeball, and then we’d have to go through all sorts of trade paperwork... just not worth it.” The man quiped. James almost brought his hand to his face, but had more pressing issues, such as the Rotom currently throwing beams of lightning every which way, mostly targetted at the men previously trying to ensnare him.

“What the hell...” James mumbled to himself, and in a “why not” type of action, reached into his pack and pulled out an empty Pokeball [10/20]. He threw the ball as hard as could, in fear that the Rotom would move out of the way, but the ball struck head on and plasma was turned into more plasma before being sucked in. The ball fell to the ground and shook rapidly, before a ping was heard from within along side a faint, “Nooooooo!”

The man stood up, dusted off his pants, and looked at James with a mischievous grin on his face. “That’ll be 250,000 coins, please.”
