The Tiger's Maw
Challengers to the Ground Gym shall have to brave the unknown and set foot within the dangerous confines of The Tiger's Maw. Concealed within the ancient deserts of Agrabah sits the Cave of Wonders, and the huge tiger-faced effigy stands as the battlefield for the challenge. The innards of the cave itself are spacious, but disrepair has seen it filled with loosely packed sand, stretching a good 35 feet deep. The cave ceiling rests a mere 15 feet above the surface of the sand, leaving little room for flying Pokemon to climb height. Despite the loose nature of the sand, Ground- type energy travels more readily here, allowing moves such as Bulldoze and Earthquake to function perfectly. Scattered within the sand itself are numerous rocks which are available for manipulation, and many of these break the surface of the sand. The diameter of the mostly circular arena stands at 100 feet. Overlooking the sands stand the trainer boxes, the Gym Leader situated in the north opposite the entrance to the cave, where the challenger will stand.
Let's get it boys. I need crack

Lets begin then. You have an irritating as shit squad so this should be a nightmare.

Bringing Terra Firma and Monolith Badge. Bringing Cameruptite to boot.

Terra Firma Badge
Attachable

The Terra Firma Badge is presented to those fearless enough to conquer the Land's End Gym. Signified in the three pillars of it's design are the unshaken hearts of those reigning victorious.
Badge Effect: Stalwart Heart
The Pokemon attached with this badge will find themselves much more tenacious in battle than other Pokemon. When they reach the midpoint of health, they will be granted a 15% boost to both their offences and defences, subject to standard boosting stipulations. Additionally, they will become more enthusiastic in battle when they are trailing in health, granted all the boosts of enthusiasm.
Attached to Marie Mjölnir

Monolith Badge
Attachable Badge

The Monolith Badge is awarded to those who best the very stones beneath their feet and the leader of the Rock Gym, Haymez. The badge is composed of diamond, cut in such a way as to catch light and appear to glow. This round cut mineral imbues the wearer with tremendous resistance, enabling them to face their biggest weakness without fear.
Badge Effect: Rock Solid
When attached to a Pokemon this badge hardens their resistance, enabling them to face their greatest weaknesses with solid determination. Any double weaknesses naturally held by the bearer will be reduced to single weaknesses while this badge is attached. This does not affect weaknesses unnaturally obtained through sigs or other effects, only those given by the bearer's natural typing.
Attached to Lenessia

Level 6

Jormungand: Male Steelix
Steelix: Steelix are large Pokémon and are able to burrow through hard materials such as concrete with their Dig attack easily. They are also more resistant to extreme pressures and heat, though they take the usual damage from Fire moves. They can see in the dark. They have higher physical defence compared to other Steel-types. They are also familiar with the Rock type.
Biography: Jormungand is keenly aware of the way his immense size can hinder him in battle. Although his reactions and movements are by no means sluggish, he has a deep understanding of the way his hefty body can make him a much easier target, and as such, he began to dedicate his time to learning how to deal with this crippling fault. At first he was stumped, his efforts all in vain, until he witnessed the training of Aisu. Watching what the Mamoswine could do with her fabricate chains instilled the seed of an idea within the mind of Jormungand, which quickly bloomed.
Signature Move - Gates of Valhalla:
Expending Major Ground- type energy, Jormungand creates a stunning replica of the gates of Valhalla. This construct will immediately open, spewing out heavy chains which ensnare the opposing Pokemon. These chains will remain hanging to the opponent for the following 5 turns, reducing their speed by 25% for the duration of this time. The Gates of Valhalla deals no damage, and will consequently spew the chains at every opposing Pokemon sent into battle. Jormungand may no longer use Curse, Stealth Rock or Iron Head.
Hidden Power: Ground

Marie Mjölnir: Female Nidoqueen
Nidoqueen: Of the Nido monarchy, Nidoqueen have the higher defense and will take slightly less damage from physical moves than other Pokémon owing to a tough and scaly hide. Nidoqueen have sensitive hearing, at the expense of being more vulnerable to sound based status attacks.
Biography: Marie is an extremely dedicated being, despite her oftentimes clumsy demeanour. Beneath the farce of ditzy idiocy, a keen mind lies, and her resolution to her actions knows no equal. This shrewd manner of thinking bestows her many a benefit, notably being able to control her partner Stein, but it likewise makes her a much more troublesome foe to deal with than many others of her species.
Signature Training - Mind like a Cage:
Marie is considered to be constantly under the effects of a modified Calm Mind. She possesses an innate resistance to all mind altering effects, and will benefit from a 10% boost to both her Special Attack and Special Defence. Marie may no longer use Thunder or Focus Punch as a Nidoqueen.
Hidden Power: Ground
Attached: Terra Firma Badge

Lenessia: Female Gastrodon East
Shellos: Gastrodon have two different forms, although they are not different from each other other then looks. Gastrodon move at a decent speed on land, and a respectable pace in the water, though they prefer shallow, slow water to deep, fast currents. They are coated with a slimy substance, which makes them harder to grab and prevents them from being affected by Electric attacks when wet. They are also able to stick to the ground. Any weight attack used against them will when stuck will have them considered to be double their weight. This stickiness also allows it to scale some vertical surfaces.
Biography: Lenessia loves water, and wishes to remain wet at all times. In order to do this, she has crafted some rather fantastical properties for her body and energies.
Signature Move - Why Does It Always Rain On Me?
When ordered to 'Make it Rain', Lenessia will hurl a huge orb of water skywards, creating a localised, airborne maelstrom. This will create effects identical to Rain Dance, with a few key differences. Water and Fire attacks are boosted and diminished by 20%, respectively. Solar Beam will always fail, and the effects of this technique will be put into action immediately after use. The maelstrom will dispel naturally after five rounds, and Lenessia will use Considerable energy to enact this technique. Lenessia can 'Make it Rain' in any arena, irrespective of the conditions, including indoors.
Hidden Power: Flying
Attached: Monolith Badge

Surt: Male Camerupt
Camerupt: Camerupt tend to be only slightly-less apathetic than their Numel bretheren, although their higher intelligence gives them a better ability to follow orders. However, they become extremely angry when struck in the face. A Camerupt struck in the face by an opponent will focus almost exclusively on that target to the exclusion of all other concerns unless something else starts to become a bigger problem or gets in the way of Camerupts's revenge. Until its target has fallen Camerupt will be extremely emotional and responsive but more vulnerable to confusion. Camerupt will also be winded for a few moments after its berserker rage has ended, with longer periods of rage meaning more downtime. A trainer may write a note in their bio stating that their Camerupt has been trained not to enter in to the enraged state in this way. In its Mega Forme, Camerupt becomes an active volcano, constantly issuing lava. Its lava-based attacks are x1.2 stronger. Because of the intense heat radiated by Mega Camperupt, Water based attacks deal only half damage as they evaporate before they can affect it. They do not take extra Water damage for having an 'exposed flame'.
Biography: Surt has always felt a much stronger connection to his mastery over flames than his dominion over ground. This has left him a fiery temper, ever determined to crush his foes under his iron clad hoof. Stomping from area to area, he left nothing but razed fields wherever he went, and everyone who witnessed this maddening tirade only ever spoke of a single, catastrophic phenomena.
Signature Move - Crimson Devil:
Expelling flame from his hump, Surt creates a towering plume of flame, before manipulating it into a thick column of swirling flame. Sending this crashing towards the foe, the construct will engulf the target, inflicting Major- Fire type damage while costing equivalent energy. Should this strike an airborne foe, not only will this attack deal slightly more damage, it will have a 20% chance to cause Confusion as the target is battered around within the vortex.
Hidden Power: Ground
Attached: Cameruptite

Kurome: Female Marowak
Marowak: A Marowak's face is covered by a skull, which it will not remove willingly. If the helmet is shattered, it will cost 1 SP or 1 battle for Marowak to go and find another. Marowak may not use its respective bone attacks if it is not holding its bone. Its Skull Bash attack takes slightly less energy than normal to use. Marowak can see in the dark.
Biography: Kurome has, for all of her life, held a strong connection with deaht. Beyond having lost her only family at an early age, all of those that she comes into contact with ultimately meet an untimely death. This caused the youngling to slowly spiral into the depths of depression, wherein she began to manifest the most grisly of abilities. Carved deep within her soul, a single name, dominion over death ... Yatsufusa.
Signature Move - Yatsufusa:
Holding her bone to the ground, Kurome allows a Major amount of Poison- type energy to flow into her surroundings. This causes beings of pure energy to rise from the ground, rushing towards Kurome's opponent and assaulting them brutally. This attack will deal Heavy Poison- type damage, and has a 30% chance to leave the target with Toxic poisoning. Kurome has Poison- type energy enough to use this attack twice per battle, and may no longer use Toxic, Stealth Rock or Swords Dance.
Hidden Power: Ghost

Sanageyama: Male Donphan
Donphan: The strip of black, leathery skin acts as treads for when performing a Rollout, thus giving better traction (and accuracy) when using a Rollout attack. Like all elephants, Donphan are sure-footed, even though they cannot see their own feet.
Biography: Sanageyama is an inherently passionate Pokemon. His passion is first and foremost reserved for his leader Satsuki, but is otherwise channeled into honing his fighting spirit. His absolute dedication to both his leader and his sword like trunk have led to startling development's in the Ground- type's battling prowess.
Signature Move - Men! Dou! Kote!:
Concentrating, Sanageyama tenses the muscles within his trunk, before igniting his powerful fighting spirit. He then rushes the opponent, delivering three swift strikes with his aflame trunk. The three strikes in total will deal Massive Fire- type damage, but the third strike has a fairly high chance to be dodged, down to referee's discretion. The chance of avoiding is obviously dependent on factors such as tiredness of the two combatants. If only two strikes land, this attack deals Considerable Fire- type damage. This technique requires Significant Fire- type energy, and Sanageyama has type energy enough to use this technique twice per battle, but the technique will leave him drained somewhat immediately after use akin to Fury Cutter.
Hidden Power: Ground

Bulbasaur

My lack of confidence is likely going to make this a nightmare for myself more than anything! But regardless, good luck Connor, hopefully I can make this not a total waste of time. Thanks for reffing Lost.

Bringing the Primary Badge and Venusaurite

Primary Badge
Global Badge
The Primary Badge is given to those trainers tenacious enough to best Kairne in the Triad Gym. The gems embedded in the badge symbolise the triple threat of Grass, Fire, and Water; and show the owner's mastery over the basic types.
Badge Effect: Type Mastery
When used, each time the owner of this badge sends out a Pokémon for the first time in the battle, he/she can choose 1 damage-dealing move of that Pokémon's type(s). That Pokémon may use that move until the end of the battle, although usage of it will take a light amount more energy than normal. If a Pokémon is returned to their PokéBall and sent out later in the same battle, a new move is not chosen, instead they retain the previously chosen move. Additional move restrictions apply (NO Legend moves, or exclusive moves, such as Sketch, Conversion/Conversion2, Transform, etc. Physically impossible moves also may not be chosen, such as a Voltorb with ThunderPunch, but if the Pokémon can reasonably use it with a small bit of improvisation, such as Magnemite with Steel Wing, that is permissible).

Squad:

Ripta Level 5 Female Feraligatr
I'll tear 'em to shreds with my own bare hands.
Ripta grew up in the sewers of Castelia, and as such is a little more... intoxicated than other Croconaw.
Special Training: Beware the Bite
Ripta now knows Poison Fang, Poison Tail, and Cross Poison. She is also familiar with the Poison type. All of these attacks have an extra mild amount of typeless energy added on to them.
Hidden Power: Poison

Domina Level 5 Female Froslass
Domina is a powerful pokemon, capable of leaving her opponents struggling to fight on if they ignore her for just a moment. While her arrogance is a weakness of hers, eventually they will all succumb...
Signature Technique: Frozen Kingdom
Expending a heavy amount of ice typed energy, Domina creates a Magic Room that both her and her opponent are put in. But there is a twist. Inside the magic room the air is frigid, and a powerful blizzard rages on, making any pokemon not ice typed or accustomed to the cold quite uncomfortable, while ice types will find themselves at home. This lasts for 5 rounds, and can be used twice per match.
Hidden Power: Water

Spira Level 5 Female Venusaur
Attachment: Venusaurite
Hidden Power: Electric

Anchor Level 5 Male Swampert
Anchor is a rather clumsy Swampert, always finding ways to get himself hurt even when it seems like that would be impossible. After one particular incident, though, Anchor realized that occasionally, these mess-ups are for the better.
Signature Move: Flaming Marshmallows
Swampy "eats" a significant amount of fire typed energy before spitting it out at the opponent in a cluster of bombs that look a bit like marshmallows. Upon contact, these marshmallows explode, dealing a considerable amount of fire typed damage. They also have a 20% chance to burn the opponent in areas struck. Areas struck also become quite sticky, possibly limiting movement. Swampy has the fire energy to use this twice. He may no longer use Sludge Wave.
Hidden Power: Ground

Gromp Level 5 Male Poliwrath
Hidden Power: Poison

Ana Level 5 Shiny Female Golduck
Hidden Power: Fire

I regret nothing.

Ripta, to the stage! Primary Badge to Octazooka.

Sigh. I expected a squad, but duuuuude.

Sanageyama, show them your showmanship.

Whip up a Sandstorm as you begin to charge to the left. Keep your momentum and strike him from behind with a Headbutt.

I actually brought a few of these simply because Stealthy mentioned them.

So you have him to thank for this.

Orders in a few once I get my computer.

Alright let's hope this works.

Set up a Rock Tomb!Wall in between yourself and Sanageyama to block off some of the sandstorm, then give them a Scald to the face as they come in for the headbutt.

Round 1: Sand in your pants

Welcome to the Tiger's Maw! Here, resident butt monkey and LO of... something... Connor! And here we have the someone I know quite well, Red Panda! Who will win? Red brought out the big guns with this squad, and it can be anyone's game. Anyways, let's start!

Sana starts off the match by whipping up a sandstorm, causing the already sandy arena to turn even sandier! The harsh winds pick up, and Ripta starts to get a bit frightened. However, the Croc decides to block most of the sand by stomping into the desert below her, pulling up a wall of rocks. While it blocks most of the storm, some of it still seeps through. The Donphan easily rolls to the left of the wall, and starts to charge towards Ripta. Ripta doesn't have time to react as Sana headbutts full force into the reptile, dealing a good hit. In retaliation, the Feraligatr spits out some scalding hot water, the Scald hitting the elephant's thick hide. However, for poor Sana, it causes a burn in the area.

Ripta holds a lead, though that could change at any moment. Rock energy is roughly at half. Sana took a good hit, but still is sitting comfortably in the first third. Has a burn to his snout, but is fine with energy. Sandstorm will fade in two rounds.

How was Ripta able to react so quickly? Rock Tomb won't be helping his visibility and he shouldn't have a great idea as to where Sanageyama is attacking from within the Sandstorm.

Lunge forward at them and clamp onto the burnt spot with an Ice Fang, then let go and aim a Slash towards the same area.

Force his jaws back with a Gunk Shot to his mouth as you move backwards somewhat. Follow by thrusting a Seed Bomb into his face as he tries to Slash.

Round 2: Not so fast!

Ripta starts to charge up ice energy into her powerful fangs, and lunges towards Sana. The elephant, moving a bit backwards, manages to get enough time to aim his attack due to the sandstorm buffering Ripta's progress. Firing his gunk shot, the trash bag of poison energy hits the Feraligatr straight in the mouth, the trash constructs exploding and leaving a bad taste in her mouth. This also leaves some poisoning within her bloodstream, which will start next round. Due to the shock of the attack, Ripta is unable to complete her ice fang, and the ice energies disappear. A bit pissed, the reptile slashes at Sana with her powerful claws. The slash agitates Sana's burn, causing a bit more damage as it flares up. Irritated, the Donphan shoots out a volley of seed bombs, causing Ripta to let out a screech as the grass energies sap away her health.

Ripta's lead got destroyed. She is nearing the midpoint, poisoned, and on the trail end of things. Still plenty of ice energy, but she holds a small lead energy wise. Can go for two. Sana is approaching his second third, and holds a comfortable lead. Poison is basically shot, and grass can fuel a weakened seed bomb. The two are in melee distance.

Why wouldn't Ice Fang go off first? They're fairly close (I realize that headbutt probably knocked back a bit), I have priority because I'm going first, and it's a much lower energy move than Gunk Shot. Also we should still be positioned where the Rock Tomb blocks some/most of the Sandstorm.

Also if I'm that close for Slash wouldn't Seed Bomb have splash damage? Or does it not do that like other explosion moves

The headbutt basically is the only reason why the gunk shot as able to go off first. It created a distance of a few feet, and while the rock tomb was blocking most of the sandstorm, some of if still was there to hinder the movement of the attack. Also, due to Sana being ordered to move backwards created a bit more distance. Really, gunk shot fired right before you bit into him.

Also I don't know on the seed bomb part, but my gut tells me no.

A distance of a few feet shouldn't affect much as Feraligatr is much larger than Donphan, and being ordered to move backwards really should not be significant movement otherwise it would make the orders a three mover.

If you think that how you reffed it is fine as is there isn't all too much I can do to change it, but I want to make sure that my opinion on the matter is heard.

Because it will likely impact how this entire match goes down, can you clarify what energy scale you're using? Tad confused.

I'm using 6/9. Still use to offtype being a hyper beam, but I can change it to two ice beams. Also Red, while Feraligatr is pretty fast, smaller Pokemon tend to be faster unless stated. I feel like I reffed it correctly, so unless we have an LO besides Cibbir comment on this. I respect your opinion, and see your point, I just feel I did the best to the interpretation of orders.

No need to change just to accommodate me. I was just uncertain and wanted to make sure so that any future planning isn't completely screwed. Thanks!

Activate specialty! Begin to Rollout, making sure to constantly circle him, don't make yourself a static target. Try kick up as much sand as you can as you go.
