Best of luck to you.
Male Charmeleon, Level 2 Male Cubone, Level 1 Male Treecko, Level 1 Male Riolu, Level 1 Male Houndour, Level 1 Viral, Genderless Porygon, Level 1 Viral was programmed to be adaptable in any situation, and as such, can do cool things with his attacks. Signature Technique: Polydata Isomorphism (X) Using advanced isomorphism algorithms to alter its own coding, Viral is able to substitute X-typed energy for any if its Psychic attacks, where X is Viral’s type. Any damage done in this way deals X typed damage instead of Psychic typed damage. In addition, Viral cannot use Psychic in its telekinetic form unless Psychic energy is used to fuel it. |

Round 1: Round One
Urgh, I hate these intro’s. Two trainers step onto the clay arena. A Starly and Porygon are sent to the field. Huzzah
Quote:
Summary: Both have taken a small and equal dip in health and energy. Almost negligible at this point. Viral has used up half of his Psychic energy.

Hey hey! You're not gonna take that are you ExDee? Let's close in with Brave bird, then spit some gnarly Toxic up in his face. If you get smacked with an Ice or Electric move though, forget the poison and U-turn while you're on top of him.

A quick Normal typed Teleport at the last second to avoid the Brave Bird. Allow him to coat you in toxins, and follow with Thunder.

Round 2: Hard-ware vs Soft-ware
The young Starly spreads her wings and rises up in the air for some much needed altitude. Viral prepares for whatever’s coming though. ExDee turns her wings down causing the wind to push her, in combination with gravity, down to the ground. Just a few inches above the clay floor, the Starly turns her wings once more to level across the field. The added momentum from the fall causes the small Brave Bird the rush across the arena at an incredible speed towards the Porygon. Right before she comes close to it though, the Porygon vanishes into thin air, having Teleported in time to safety. Where to? Well with nothing specific given the ref says that the Porygon teleported
Summary: Both are equal for energy and nearing the end of their first third. ExDee has no Poison energy left and Viral has burnt through most of its Electric, enough for a weakened Discharge. The Thunder has drained Viral somewhat and it could use a break. ExDee is the only one who took damage, having dropped straight towards the threshold of his second third.

Should have psychic, as my Teleport was normal typed. Additionally, Thunder doesn't have a particularly huge charging time.

Thunder=Massive Burst of Electricity=Slightly Large Charging Time Then, Say, Thunderbolt (when I ref at least). Considering the distance from your flying foe, I reffed the attack as a partial hit. Not much of the attack missed anyway though.

After asking around, I've had a few people confirm that Thunder actually goes off pretty quickly, all things considered. Not to mention that Starly would have had to lob a Toxic across that distance.
Additionally, there are some other discrepancies in type energy for both sides. I believe that as a standard, most normals are given around an Extreme amount of offtype energy, not accounting for having larger pools if they have a significant offtype movepool. Porygon has a pretty large Psychic/Electric movepool, so I'm a bit confused as to how quickly those offtype pools are draining. |

Fallen, what I meant to say was that it was largely written that way for flavour.
Normals get less type energy than other types. If they've changed that than I would like a link stating it. Also, I reffed Starly as having no poison energy left to avoid confusion. Toxic is its only Poison-type attack and it definitely doesn't have enough to fuel two of those so I just say Poison's depleted. Stating you have Poison energy left (that you can't use anyway) seems a bit meh-ish.

As a standard, in 6/9, most 'mon are given around two Ice Beams of off-type energy, depending of course on how deep that off-type movepool is. Normals are generally given less, of course, that being around a Hyper Beam of that off-type. However, Porygon has a very large Electric movepool, and has more Electric energy than most normals would. That being said, a single Thunder shouldn't drain the entirety of Porygon's Electric pool.

Hi. Normals still get less type energy than other types but type energy in general has been upped - Normals now get around 1 HB whereas others get about two Ice Beams worth. Also Porygon has long been considered to get a bit more Electric energy than standard (about 1.5 HB - 2 Thunders) because they get a whole host of Electric moves that most other non-Electrics don't (Discharge comes to mind).
Sorry to butt in! |

Oh yeah I totally remember reading that in the Announcement page and on the site.
*Sigh* Grumble, grumble, grumble. EDITS have been made to Electric Soldier Porygon's energy. Fallen loses 5 favour points with the referee for being right.

Honestly I'm not all too sure. I remember reading in the TO somewhere that Fallen had gotten into a car crash or some such? If I recall correctly?
