As Bill swam through the surprisingly chilly waters, he and Swift started to swim around looking through the depths mostly for treasure or adventure. One notable thing he realized was the lack of plant life even this close to the shore, however, he did note a bunch of undersea caves that he bet spanned the area as a whole. Seeing the area underneath the region was tempting but he wasn't equipped for such a mission. Instead he stuck to staying in the open waters, seeing the occasional wave and seashell go by, then he realized there was a different shade of blue in the distance. Using signs that he trained with his various water Pokemon, Bill signaled to his Finneon the object. The two approached the oblong shape to notice a very nice looking Pokemon Egg. Bill noted the heart-shaped pattern on it, which appealed to the trainer. Bill looked around for any sort of potential parentage but he didn't see any. However unlike the previous egg this one had a warm presence. Bill looked at his own water type mon before nodding his head. Bill took the egg and started moving it closer to the shore where he could keep an eye on it, deciding to hatch this one. He made sure to keep it where undertows wouldn't drag the egg completely back into open waters where many potential dangers would affect a newborn Pokemon, especially one without any guardians. OoC: Taking this egg. |

CyberBlastiose:
Taking care not to let the egg get caught up in the undertows lest it hatched and slipped from your grasp, you pulled it to the shore. As soon as you had touched the beach and sat down, the egg began to hatch. You soon were staring into the pink/blue eyes of a Dolphin Pokemon, who met you with happy clicks, whistles, and trills. It seemingly started to tickle you, before turning its head away and letting out a high-pitched shrill that left a booming crater in the sand several feet away from you. This thing had hatched with some moves for sure! Out of nowhere, you were soon met with a Pyukumuku riding atop a green lizard pokemon? That had a sac inflated and curled tail and paddled along in the water, how odd. The Pyukumuku shoved something into your hand as it passed, giving a thumbs up with its innards out hand. Congratulations you have hatched a Female Finizen with the egg moves Tickle and Boomburst! You also gained a Tera Orb! With this orb, you can master the art of Terastalization!

ShadowDRGN;
As you set the spot for the picnic, you thought about home. These waterfalls were nice but surely didn't hold a torch to those back home. Top Ten sights of Paldea. Each of those was worth visiting. As you began to make your meal, a pyukumuku hopped by unnoticed by you as you made lunch and snuck an egg inside your basket left on the ground. A smaller egg, yellow and brown with orange markings, seemingly thrummed with energy as it awaited to be found by a trainer. Successful in its plan the pyukumuku hopped off and away to hop back on its partner in crimes back, and together the two dashed away. It was a funny occurrence that they should place this egg in the basket, for pokemon eggs are known to just show up within in the Paldea region. It wasn't long before you noticed, how could you not, the basket was left open enough for you to see inside. The next question was, is this the one for you?

Eventually, it was neither white nor blue that was the first color to pop out of the egg but yellow as a beak broke through and made more cracks around the egg until it all fell away to reveal the white torso and head with blue webbed feet and a wet blue hairstyle. "Hey, there he is! Let's take a look at our new friend here," Hyrem commented before consulting his Pokedex: Quaxly, the Duckling Pokemon. Quaxly's feathers are waterproof, and this combined with its powerful legs allow it to swim anywhere and dive underwater with no risk of getting dirt stuck on its body. "Well, definitely a Water Pokemon from the look of things, and cute too!" Hyrem reacted. "See Charlie, even he thinks your trying to eat him was in poor taste!" Once the egg hatched, however, Charlie lost interest; this new bird-shaped creature smelled more like clean water than he did a duck. Instead, his mind wandered back towards the food stalls, particularly one stationing a chocolate fondue fountain behind it. Hyrem noticed and immediately darted towards it, Quaxly still in arms, purchasing a chocolate kabob before his Dunsparce even got there. Kneeling down, he held the kabob in front of Charlie's face before saying, "Now be careful, you don't want the stick poking into your mo- ...oh, never mind." His train of thought was interrupted by a Dunsparce mouth engulfing his entire hand along with the kabob, feeling him suckle the chocolate-covered food off the stick before releasing the hand, now covered in Dunsparce drool. "Well, that's a sight I'm more familiar with than I should be," Hyrem lamented. "Think you can help me wash my hand... Dewey?" He looked down at the newly hatched Quaxly, who looked up in response to being called the name as though it fit him perfectly and saluted, before spewing forth a Water Gun with just the right amount of water needed to rinse off the drool. "Hehe, thanks Dewey! It's nice to know we have someone on the team with cleanliness in mind," Hyrem commented, with Dewey nodding and responding, "Qua quaxly!" This time it was a buzzing noise that brought their attention back to Charlie, whose tail was spinning unusually fast before it struck the ground and vaulted him into the air, his stubby wings keeping him afloat as he appeared to be on a sugar high. "Whoa, that had to be a new move he just learned... maybe that's the Hyper Drill attack I heard rumors about!" Just then, another blue glow erupted, this time from Charlie as he seemed to grow bigger... no, longer! Twice as long, in fact, maybe a little more than that, while a second pair of wings sprouted from the newly formed second segment on his body and the drill on his tail became more pronounced. "Wow, so you really do evolve from learning that move, huh? I had no idea it would happen that quick!" said Hyrem as he consulted the Pokedex once again: Dudunsparce, the Land Snake Pokemon, and the evolved form of Dunsparce. Dudunsparce's tail has developed into a sturdy drill, granting it the ability to burrow deep under the soil, no matter how dense it is. It then claims the tunnel network that results from this digging as its nest, with territory that can span entire miles of underground passageways wide enough for it to fit comfortably through. Whenever Dudunsparce discovers intruders, it inhales a large amount of air before blowing it all out to repel them back to the entrance of the nest, usually scaring them away in the process. "And to think it would happen from you eating chocolate- Charlie!! That fountain's not yours!" The newly evolved Charlie had started flying towards that food stand with the chocolate pouring out from the machine, but his wings couldn't hold up his heavy body for too long. Soon enough, he started falling right where Hyrem was standing, making him go, "Oh nonono, not on- OOF!" Roughly a hundred pounds of Dudunsparce then crashed on top of him in an unintended Body Slam, the heavy snake just in front of the food stand while Dewey had jumped out of the trainer's arms in time. Right at that moment, Dewey had noticed something and alerted the others about it. Hyrem crawled out from under Charlie to discover two mysterious Pokemon in front of him, one riding the other, the first one spitting out a... hand? Well, in that "hand" rested a spherical object with a beautiful glowing jewel inside. It was no Mega Stone, that was for sure, but it looked like it had some sort of valuable power inside; felt like it too as Hyrem took what he would find out later to be a Tera Orb just before the two Pokemon ran off before he had a chance to scan them in his Pokedex. That reptilian creature that looked like a bike looked especially intriguing, perhaps he might get one of his own someday? He looked back at his orb, then at Charlie; what sort of power did this hold? Only one way to find out... ********** Claim: Tera Orb Zone Capture!! A Lv. 1 Male Quaxly has joined the party! (and is being put in Pokeball (9/47)) New Move! Dunsparce learned Hyper Drill! (learned @ Lv. 32) Evolution!! Dunsparce evolved into Dudunsparce!

Small mercies, truly. In any case, Catharine had, for once, forgone any place with difficult or challenging terrain-she did have a particular sort of Pokémon in mind, and it wasn't likely to be in any place that needed a tough hike. So instead, she was having a brisk walk with Gigabyte at all her sides, as the energetic Boltund was keen to run around far more than Catharine's walking pace allowed, and Laura flying a short distance overhead. "So, what kind of Pokémon are we looking for this time?" Gigabyte asked, taking a short break from running circles around her. "Well, between your weakness to Earthquakes and the Trailblaze move you just learned, I figured it was time to line up a proper Grassy Terrain user. Going by my P★DA, there are a few Paldean Pokemon that fit the bill, and I figure we'll be able to find one either here or in the flower fields. Though there is one I am a bit more partial to..." Catharine said with a sly grin. "Which one? Which one?" Gigabyte asked excitedly. "Mmm, I'm not gonna say. Why ruin the surprise?" Catharine replied with a smirk. "Awww..." Gigabyte whined, but before he could argue, Laura called out from the air. "The grass looks a bit funny over yonder-let's check it out!" the Farfetch'd called, banking to the right and leading the group off the beaten path.

The sound of clattering metal fills the air as Enki sets the basket on the ground and opens the topmost compartment. Stainless steel utensils are neatly arranged atop the checkered blanket like chess pieces—a plate and cup to each corner, along with a full complement of knive, fork and spoon. Salt and pepper shakers claimed the center of the board, around which the boy began to lay out their ingredients. Whole wheat bread serves as a base, atop which Enki spreads a zesty lemon aioli from a homemade jar. Sprigs of basil lay a bed for thick slices of tomato to rest on, blanketed by strips of cheddar cheese and topped with another slice of bread. Taking a knife to the corner, the researcher cuts them into perfect isosceles triangles—repeat steps 1 through 5 a few more times, and... done! Proud of their work, Enki pops open a bag of potato chips and carefully shimmies out a handful onto each plate. The aroma of kettle-cooked potato covered mixes with the citrusy, acidic scent of the main course, and Enki catches themselves salivating. Before they succumb to the urge to test this new recipe, however, there are a couple guests missing from this little picnic... A cascade of flashing lights cover Pyukumuku’s stealthy entrance as Enki throws a cluster of Pokeballs into the air. Magnemite, Alolan Geodude, Voltorb, Ditto, Timburr and Nosepass emerge underneath the shady tree, and quickly crowd around the picnic blanket to eat their fill. The buzz of static electricity fills the air like a pleasant breeze—at least, that’s what the full-time lab inhabitant thinks when their hair stands on end. Enki smiles slightly, watching as they all eat in their own quirky ways. Whether it’s Kaminari drawing out all the iron from their sandwich or Raspberry engulfing it whole and letting it digest inside their gelatinous body, the researcher made sure that everyone gets their proper nutritional needs—including themselves. Biting into the soft bread, their eyes widen as the acidity of the tomato is calmed by basil, allowing it to play nicely with the zesty sauce and sharp, crumbly cheddar. Topping it off, the oily, salty crunch of potato chips provides an excellent counterbalance between bites. In a word: Scrumptious. It didn't matter if their colleagues said he enjoyed anything put in front of him, today it really is scrumptious. As they wait for the rest of their Pokemon to finish lunch, Enki reaches into the picnic basket for their water bottle. Huh, that’s odd, it feels like there’s something in here...? Glancing down at the basket, the boy lifts the flap and is surprised to see an egg sitting inside! Well... this is certainly an unexpected variable. Suspecting one of their own Pokemon, the researcher glances pointedly at Raspberry. Ditto shrugs, detaching from a clean—if slightly sticky—plate. Seems it must’ve come from elsewhere, but how? Enki inspects the egg for a moment, noting the rather distinctive pattern. Well, its origins might be a mystery, but if it’s been left in their basket, then they’re obliged to take it. Besides, if it’s what they think it is...

Catharine and her entourage of pokemon set forth on foot through the scenic nature trails winding further inland from the serine majesty of the beaches where they docked. The warm salty breeze gently transitioning into a cooler grassy sent the route took her up a slight incline. The beach gradually got smaller as the group coyly converted amongst themselves and darting around like a kid in a candy shop in one of their cases. all of them were, except maybe the bolthund, focused and excited about finding a new green friend to join in future adventures. The Farfetched opting to take the initiative in searching began to wander further off the trail. The trainer addresses the general idea of what she was going for toward her companions in terms of hopes for their outing and specifically their goal to find one grass-type pokemon her or at the floral meadow on the other side of a thick forest. Eventually, the avian companion calls the group over to a large mostly uprooted tree at the back side of the trail obscured from eyesight. The Leek Knight pointed towards a well-hidden light black egg with three grey circles dotting down one side. the Egg was ensnared in the well-worn root system making it blend in fairly well with the dark shadows and dirt surrounding it. What will they do?

"...well, leaving aside just how hard it would probably be to disentangle that Egg from that utter mess of roots," Catharine began, "it's almost certainly not of any of the species we're looking for with that coloration. Anything we're looking for will probably have at least some green on it." "Awww..." Laura said, deflating a bit. "Hey now, don't worry too much. At least one of Paldea's endemic grass types is well known for hanging around olive trees. This may well be a sign we're on the right track-and if not, there's still the flower fields." Catharine reassured her Farfetch'd. However, her encouragement was interrupted by a sudden bark from Gigabyte. "I smell something! This way, this way!" he called, making a beeline into the distance. "Gigabyte, wait up!" Catharine called as she ran over, nearly tripping over another fallen log in her desperate rush to keep up with her energetic Boltund. Laura sighed, and flew after the pair of disasters. "Even without my Leek, every day's an adventure with those two in it." she muttered to herself with a small chuckle.

Opting to leave the trapped egg in place, the group races after the hound following their nose further down the trail, winding its way further inland, unsure of what they would stumble on to next. Eventually, Gigabine slows down and begins sniffing around some before stumbling upon a now kind of upset Pyukumuku who promptly flicks its nose and tosses itself away from its make-shift napping spot. Evidently, Gigabyte was alerted to its existence as it smelled like eggs; a fact not terribly surprising as they are said to be the pokemon responsible for scattering and caring for the soon-to-be hatchlings. The group was disappointed to return to the search exploring the immediate area and wanting off the well-worn path. Between two rocky outcroppings was a small secluded field of lush vegetation in a makeshift valley with even a small waterfall to the side pulling into a shallow pond draining into the ground and going to who knows where. Gigabyte again catches sent and dashes into the natural garden before coming up to a bonsai tree extending from the rocky cliff. under it hidden beneath some large leaves sits a Rabuta berry green egg with a white topside and speckled with yellowish-orange dots. What do you do?

It had been years since Isaac had been back in Fizzytopia, not to mention the Springtide Isles. After Kyle had officially deemed them "done" with no sense of return, Isaac had taken a long vacation to Johto to reflect on his life. Many of his Pokemon stayed at his home in Fizzytopia, ensuring that he would eventually return. Hikaru, his Chansey, had taken excellent care of everyone while he was gone. The only mons who had joined him in his travels were Vinny and her son, Reno. Ahri had wanted to stay behind to look after Ezra and Otis, and Isaac respected the call of family. |

Mélina inspected the the egg that she just found, snuggled under a berry bush. While at first glance it just looked like a green egg (could it go well with ham?), it had a black spot which, with the fading color around it, managed to naturally emulate the illusion that it's a hole? She always saw those pictures of that effect online, but never in person. Even Rosie was a bit confused and fascinated by it, dropping a berry from her mouth in awe. After shaking off the initial surprise, the trainer got into thinking. Should she keep this one, for this year's Springtide event? "I think we should bring this one home, Rosie. Think they'll fit in?" The Ponyta neighed in excitement. A new friend, hurray! After giving the egg a little friendly pat, Mélina wrapped it in a warm blanket and plopped it in a bag, readying it for its trip back to New Fizz City... OoC: Taking this eggo, I will not leggo :3 |

"Huh? But I smelled an Egg..." Gigabyte said, confusion evident in his expression as the Springtime Pyukumuku began to hop away. By way of response, the Pyukumuku simply extended its guts and pointed with them further into the distance, to a space between two rocky outcroppings. "I see. My apologies, Springtime Pyukumuku. We'll be on our way." Catharine said, as Gigabyte, with the new directions from the Springtime Pyukumuku, easily picked up the scent trail once again. The Springtime Pyukumuku simply hopped away, evidently eager to get back to napping. Once Catharine and her Pokémon were able to pass through the pair of outcroppings pointed out to them before, the sight that greeted them reminded Catharine of her home in Climber's Canyon. There was even a small waterfall, let alone all the greenery. Gigabyte's scent trail led him deep into the alcove, until the group came upon a bonsai tree, beside which sat an Egg. A bright green Egg, with a white top. Catharine grinned. "I can't say for certain, but odds are good this Egg's got one of Paldea's endemic Grass types inside. Good nose, Gigabyte! Even if we did accidentally bother the Springtime Pyukumuku." Catharine said, as she picked up the Egg and held it close to her. "Nothing for it but to wait for it to hatch." (OOC: Will take this one, thanks!)

ShadowDRGN;
Your hand barely held the egg for more than a moment before a bright light pierced through the egg, It was hatching within your hand! The small tadpole pokemon shook itself, causing another light to glow, this time the origin was clear, it came from the lightbulb pattern atop its head. This was the pokemon known as Tadbulb! Wait, just a moment... you had heard a sound as the egg was hatching? It sounded as if a star was twinkling and you soon noticed that this Tadbulb wasn't an ordinary one, It was shiny! It was hard to notice its shiny coloring due to the red looking close to orange from a distance ( despite it being within your basket )but upon closer inspection, this was no doubt shiny. How the world has smiled upon you today! What a wonderful way to compliment your sandwich and the overall nicety of the day! Just then a Pyukumuku jumps back out of hiding, riding atop the Cyclizar that it has been spotted upon running all around the isle with. Engorging its body it pushed its Innards Out and with the hand, it produced a Tera Orb and placed it on the table in front of you before dashing away. Congratulations you have hatched a Shiny Female Tadbulb, It knows the Egg moves Muddy Water, Soak, and Parabolic Charge! Naru: As the Leafeon rolled within the flower bed, you watched on as the grass type had fun. It wasn't long, however, before you spotted a Cyclizar running away, with a Pyukumuku riding atop its back seemingly in glee from whatever they had left behind. Your partner pokemon was already one step ahead of you however and beat you to what the duo had left behind. Your pokemon sniffed it cautiously as you approached. It was a pale green egg with darker green markings around it. It was placed within a patch of what appeared to be succulent flowers, all of which was a pretty pink color and had a pleasant aroma to them. But, was this the pokemon that was destined for you? Did this set the stage for a marvelous magickal masterpiece? Or, rather, was this a clever trick of the light so to speak, leading you away from your real prize? Only you could really answer that question, and the more you pondered in your thoughts, the more this illusory could ensnare you. Your leafeon seemed to like this egg, one way or another regardless, but still respected your wishes and didn't touch the egg less it hatched due to the warmth of the sunbathed body. OkikuMew: You had set your sights on keeping the egg, and wasted no time bundling the small egg in a blanket as you prepared to take your trip back to NFC. You hadn't gotten fairly far from where you found the little bundle before you heard cracking and felt movement from within. Good golly then the smell hit you, it wasn't a horrid aroma but it was certainly astringent enough to make you flinch for but even a moment. You also noted that the blanket seemed to be soaking up some form of oil... making the newly hatched babe within it slick. It looked up at you in awe with its white eyes and a crooked smile. Congratulations you have hatched a male Smoliv! It seems to know the Egg moves Weather Ball, and Strength Sap! You then heard the sounds of a guttural call before a Pyukumuku rode up to you... sitting atop a green lizard that looked like a bike with legs. It stuck it's inside out to gift you a glowing purple-black ball that seemed to have some crystal within it. You have received a Tera orb and can now Teraztilize your pokemon! What a wild ride this trip was! |

Vinny leapt back as the sound of tires rushed through the serene garden. Her usual sleek cream fur was puffed out, her brown eyes wide. Isaac couldn't help but laugh, causing the small Leafeon to pout.

"Hey, new buddy! I'm Dracen. It's great to meet ya!" Klawf opened its mouth a bit, staring wonderingly at the Trainer who seemed overjoyed to be wounded. Its eyes swiveled suddenly, landing on Myris. The Centiskorch still held his charge firmly, not taking his eyes off it either. He locked gazes with the new-hatched Klawf. I- I don't believe it. This creature, already strong enough to nearly defeat us, is... The Klawf's gaze drifted sideways. In both directions. Its open mouth widened and it gave a sleepy sort of enormous screaming noise that startled Jeffrey into toppling overboard, and knocked Dracen on his butt. A complete idiot! Seemingly content, Klawf hopped up and down for a moment before collapsing flat to the raft and falling asleep instantly, its eyes still wide open. Those eyes... There isn't a single thought behind them. Not one! What have I gotten myself into?! TL;DR: Aye, claiming my Klawf! Naming him Blorbo, declaring Jolly Nature and Anger Shell. After an agonizing build-up, Enki is forced to glance away as the egg erupts in a blinding starburst! Shards of egg fly across the picnic blanket, leaving Enki holding what seems to be nothing... and yet, they can tell that something is there. An electrical field has sprung to life in their hands, a kind that feels both familiar to them, and new to him at the exact same time... Excitedly, the researcher looks back at their lap to find a Tadbulb floating before them! No, no this isn’t just any Tadbulb—though subtle, Enki notices the color discrepancy straight away. Those red highlights... this is undoubtedly a Shiny Pokemon! “Amazing...” they whisper, watching as the Pokemon floats about, the spots on her head blinking rhythmically. Watching it reminds them of the 1s and 0s of binary, however they quickly realize that—though still infantile—the timings and patterns remind them more of morse code. “Well. Hello, world to you too! I think I’ll call you... Ampere,” Enki says, laughing brightly at Tadbulb. The rest of their Pokemon gather around, glancing curiously at the newborn. It’s been some time since they’ve added a new member to their team—really, he feels like he’s always had them around, ever since he was little. Before they can get a ball ready to house the baby Pokemon, though, an ambush comes from the bushes! Revving trills catch Enki’s attention, as Cyclizar and Pyukumuku rush onto the scene to regurgitate their participation award. Gross. “Oh—um, thanks?” Enki says, though at this point the gang are already long gone. They glance down at the blanket, eyes entranced with the sparkle of a brand-new Tera Orb. Despite their position as a researcher at the academy, they’ve never actually received one before. It seems this day really is turning out lucky, then! For something the size of a Pokeball, the orb is actually quite hefty. Perhaps that’s to be expected, given that it’s made of stone rather than lightweight metal, but even so—knowing how much kickback even experienced Trainers can have while using it, they might have to practice using it before Terastalizing in a real battle. While Enki is idly pontificating, however, the Tera Orb suddenly flares to life! Iridescent rays shoot out in all directions, and they snap out of it the moment they feel their hand starting to shake! Yelping in surprise, the glassy orb slips out of their grasp, its glossy surface fracturing as it plummets straight on top of a rock! Hoping that it wasn’t broken, Enki takes a bit of wrapping paper and uses it to pick up the orb without touching it. They’ve never heard of a Tera Orb activating out of the blue... perhaps it sensed their desire to practice using it? Regardless, until they get back to the lab to study it, it’ll have to go in their bag for now, along with the rest of their picnic supplies. That scowl doesn’t last for long against the sight of all their Pokemon playing with Ampere, though. Taking a Timer Ball out of their bag, Enki taps it to the Tadbulb’s forehead. It wiggles softly in their grip, before settling in for a peaceful nap. Indeed... a nap does sound good after such an eventful day. ----------- Picking her up in a Timer Ball, and claiming my Tera Orb!

"So the egg burns my skin. That's probably a good enough sign that I should leave it be." The woman dipped her hands into the pool of water, hoping that it would be cool enough to start getting her hands a normal color. Fortunately, it was cold enough to start offering some immediate release, and she let her hands sit in the water for a little bit before pulling them back up to inspect them. "Well, at least it's not going to be permanent. That would be quite bad. Oh if only I had Boreas with me, he would probably be able to cool my hands down a lot faster. Time to keep looking then." The woman continued to peer around, trying to see if she could find anything else of interest. She was reasonably familiar with the process based on her previous experience and knew that she was likely going to take home whatever she found next. That was just how it went with the Springtide Pyukumuku. But hopefully she would find something that was a bit more to her style than the last two eggs she discovered.

The group collects the egg and begins their journey out of the hidden grove excited to see their new companion. The egg began to crack upon their exit and a sort of shimmer broke out revealing a strange Pokémon with the appearance of a green featherless bird. With this new friend out and about the world it hopped down and started to run about having a wonderful time experiencing life for the first time. Eventually, the child runs into a big bush and a small thud can be heard as it hits something. With an annoyed sigh the same Pyukumuku from before hops out of the underbrush with the child in its weird internal hand mass dropping it off in front of you and then moving back to the bush and tossing out a crystallin orb of sorts before launching itself as far away as possible. Which allegedly was not very far at all and it repeats this pattern until it fades from view. With any luck, it may find peace and quiet where it can sleep. Congrats you have obtained a female Capsakid with the egg move worry seed and a terra orb! Quote:
After a rather exfoliating experience, the woman began to wander around once more in hopes to find her new forever friend. The cavern ended not much farther from there so she opted to start checking things along the other side of the cave wall. much like the other side, there were many crystals and platforms scattered around. As the woman ascended the daylight set forth a new blinding view as the walls showed even brighter. The only real save for her eyesight was a weird dark spot up on a crystalline basket. Upon approaching it the dark spot gained clarity, shape, and color. The oval was pearly white and has some weirdly translucent spots and a vibrant blue floral pattern. The nest was tricky to reach into but with some effort, she dislodged the egg and held it aloft. stating at it through the light she eventually sees something move in the egg and its eyes lock with hers. What does she do?

Will had been here before, but the island had seemingly changed since he was last here. Azalea had evened confirmed it after having downloaded the data sent by his crewmates. As of right now, it seemed that the island was boasting pokemon from the "Paldea" region. Supposedly the pokemon from the Paldea region weren't known outside their native region, and he found that suspicious. It was as if a new "Region" and new pokemon sprang up out of the blue from places that seemingly never existed before. If the world was as advanced as it should have been, One would think that the communication between such regions would be widely known and boasted. The only reason he could think of such a thing not happening like that was if the regions were in a huge war that ended only a sparse good few years ago. But that point was neither here nor now. He was here to see if he could set out to find a new partner to join his crew. He stood upon the "Beachfront" and looked out over the sea, reminiscent of the past and the waters of home. However far that may be right now. |

AKWillbe - How and why the Paldea region sprang into the collective unconsciousness of the denizens here was certainly a mystery, but this was an easter egg hunt, not a lore hunt! You were here for fun, and adventure, and companionship!
And what could be more adventurous than exploring the very beach you landed on? The sand was white hot, and the surf was refreshingly cool. Waves lapped calmly against the shoreline, having traveled across an ocean of sparkling sapphires. It was a sight that you found oddly nostalgic, no matter how unfamiliar a land you found yourself in now—that was the majesty of the sea. Once you’ve had your fill, you begin to look around the beach. Discarded shells and sundried seaweed crunch beneath your heels, and your eyes pick out pieces of beach glass, and unfortunate bits of discarded refuse. Ironically, for someplace so flat and open, finding eggs was proving difficult. Maybe they were all cleared out already? Eventually, however, you come across a sight to lift your spirits. You almost don’t notice it, but nestled within the sand is a white egg! Rather plain, you might think, but as you approached it, you noticed a single red spot adorning the egg. You felt as though you had to approach carefully, or else it might somehow sink beneath the sand and disappear on you... Will you take this egg?

This time I might just disappear
Quote:
Before Jess could intervene to try and extract the poor victim, it valiantly determined to fight back on its own by extending soft, squishy innards to nab a nearby strangely shaped stone to smack its assailant with. Stunned, the Wattrel spat out the ferocious piece of spicy seafood, flinging it far back into the bay with disgust. The creature bobbed up again shortly after to lob another round volley in return before vanishing into the depths, braving more potential battles with marine beasts eager to take a bite of delicious cucumber. Jess breathed out in relief as she gingerly approached the frazzled fledgling, deciding it best to stow it safely in a Poké Ball for now until she could reach its real recipient - lest the hatchling's hunger result in another ruckus amongst local wildlife, disrupting such peaceful ecosystem by reducing tidepool's teeming population of prey. As she tapped the troublesome waterfowl with a tender bop of the ball and watched it disappear within, she noticed it had been perched atop the rock that had sent it reeling, half-lodged in the earth from force of impact. Rather than rough or dull in texture, the pebble was perfectly smooth like the black orb beside it, shimmering pale pink in bright contrast. Like layered lacquer lining the inside of a conch shell, it seemed to gleam with brilliant sheen resembling a marble moon - glinting from rainbow refractory rays above. Lance's eyes lit up upon perceiving the pearl's exquisiteness, recognizing the value of such a rare find as he neared to touch the buried treasure... Suddenly, the dunes seemed to shift and stir, and another small mass sat up from the soil, blinking away dirt in a confused daze as it reached up to realize something seemingly missing between its ears. Shaking grains, it hopped up on its... foot? tail? as it bounced over with spring-like steps in search of its lost headgear, spotting the Tera Orb first. It grabbed the globe and raised above its crest, snout wrinkling upon sensing it didn't quite fit. Lance tutted as well and lifted the correct crown - taking a moment to polish to perfection with gentle petals - before balancing the beautiful bauble where it belonged. As the young porcine Pokémon bowed profusely in gratitude for saving its bacon, Jess glanced about in bewilderment, wondering how the out-of-place piglet ended up on this deserted beach in the first place. While it didn't appear to have just emerged from an Egg like the rest of the orphaned critters on the island intended for adoption, its parents were presumably nowhere in sight. Squinting down the coast however, she did catch a glimpse of what looked like some kind of blue mesh net sticking out from the sand - much like the ones used in nursery farms for cultivating cultured Clamperl - and she sadly had a pretty good guess as to how the hog wound up so far from home, having likely been tangled in one of the cage traps in a freak accident and taken out by the tide. It didn't seem right to leave it here alone by itself either, marooned on a mysterious interdimensional isle that may or may not arrive in this time plane ever again, who knows when (plus in the meantime some wild boar hunter might well have a hankering for pork chops). Thus she shrugged her shoulders and offered a second sphere (cerulean rather than scarlet, with similar cross-hatched webbing across the top half) to the stranded stranger with a welcoming smile. "Would you like to come with us too, little one? Perhaps we can help you find your family." The Spoink squealed with delight and nodded, before bounding up to press the button by its own accord. Once sucked inside, Jess secured the new recruit next to the other temporary foster ("eggs and ham", so to speak) for the time being before slipping her sack on again. Gazing up at the shadow of the giant crystal overlooking the cove, Jess had the odd feeling that their chance meeting was fated somehow - as if the planets had aligned precisely for this moment. Putting aside the puzzling enigma for now, she and Lance set off again down the shoreline towards Melissa's location, where another future friend waited for them to be introduced... OoC - Picking up Wattrel in 1x Poké Ball (and Spoink in 1x Net Ball), plus 1x Tera Orb. Thanks, Jaho!

"Hmph! That'll teach ya, stupid eggshell! I'm better than you!" she squeaked, kicking the hollowed-out shellm which came to rest against a peculiar, sleek black sphere of some kind. "Well, aren't you feisty?" Catharine asked with a grin, as she held out a Poke Ball to the Grass-Type. "I like feisty, and I think you could definitely add a little zing to my team. What say you?" "Wouldn't have hatched for you if I didn't like you!" the Capsakid said, bopping the Ball and being drawn in immediately. The Ball immediately indicated a successful capture, and Catharine let her back out. "Well, you will need a name. How about...Carolina? Like the hot pepper?" Catharine suggested with a grin. "That's too boring, come on!" Capsakid protested. "But who would want to stand up to the Carolina Reaper?" Catharine prodded, a sly smile on her face. "...I know your game, but I can't say no to that." Carolina admitted, as she punted her old Eggshell further into the brush where, if the sound was any indication, it broke apart. Carolina, however, was more concerned with the large object that was now in front of her. "What is THAT!?" she asked. "That," Catharine began as she quickly scooped it up, "is a Tera Orb. I'll admit I had been dragging my feet on getting one, but I won't pass this one up, for sure! Now, there was someplace I wanted to look at before we left. Gigabyte, Laura, follow. Carolina, I'll carry you for now." she added, picking up the small hatchling despite her pout. The Gemstone Grotto. A bedazzling place newly uncovered after the newest wave of Egg appearances on the Isle. Catharine stayed well away from any further Eggs that caught her eyes here-she was well aware of the rules for the more usual events of this nature, and wouldn't be caught dead breaking them. Still, there was an air of mystery in this place that drew her in. "Why exactly are we here, doll? This place gives me the heebie-jeebies." Laura asked from her perch on Catharine's shoulder. Gigabyte didn't speak up, but while his tail wasn't quite between his legs, it wasn't wagging with the Boltund's normal boundless excitement. "What, are ya scared?" Carolina teased, but sobered up as Catharine gave her a sharp look. "Don't antagonize your teammates, Carolina. Being wary of the strange air about this place is just good sense, anyhow. There's an almost unearthly feeling here." she said. Minutes passed, as Catharine moved deeper and deeper in, until at long last, she came upon the gigantic crystal that had uncovered this place, giving off a brilliant, iridescent sheen...but nothing changed. "Hm...Whatever there is to this place, I don't think we can learn about it to-oh?" Catharine began, before being interrupted by light from her Tera Orb flowing into a small, translucent crystal at her feet. It changed in coloration to a light brown, and a dark symbol appeared in its middle, and Catharine quickly picked it up, immediately recognizing what the small crystal piece had become-a Groundium Z! "Hm. I had heard that Tera Energy serves to improve that which it contacts, and is heavily linked to typing. Not only that, the first egg Hunt held here was apparently for Pokemon endemic to Alola! Could that have factored into the creation of a Z-Crystal just now? This place seems to overflow with Tera Energy...perhaps that is why it feels so alien. Still, I don't think we can go any further for now. Let's make tracks, everyone!" Catharine said, and began to leave. OOC: Thanks Much for the event! Claiming Carolina the Capsakid. Placing her in Poke Ball 2 of 10, as linked above, and declaring her Ability to be Klutz.)

Sneaze - Of all the places on Springtide Isle, the Shrine has been host to the most... divisive opinions. Some merely think it unconventional or gaudy for a place of worship, while a distinct few react with visceral horror at its (to them) blasphemous nature.
You, however, hold a different point of view from those who came before. The sight of two wheeled 'mons towering before this temple of axle grease and checkered flags elicits excitement and curiosity. You could sense the connection this place and these two mystery Pokémon have to the art of riding—perhaps one represents mounts from ancient times, and the other a future where synthetic muscle and iron hide have transformed life as we know it. Either way, you brought your whole squad with you, and you'd be damned if you didn't use them. Tossing them out of their balls, and commanding them to search near and far, you watch as they disperse and begin to cade the area. Though, you aren't sure how many eggs are left, seeing as the day of the egg hunt is drawing to a close... After some time, you hear Rapheal's cry beckoning you over to the main tent. The smell of burning exhaust and engine grease smacks you dead in the face as you step inside, and you see the Spearow perching atop a small pile of scrap. He pecks at the lightly-rusted hubcap beneath him, and nested under it you can see what looks to be a steel-colored egg with purple splotches all about its shell. It looks as though in all the hubbub, this little one has gone unnoticed. Of course, Pyukumuku and the Cyclizar gang will look after it once the hunt is over, but even so, it seems this is the first choice before you: Do you take this egg?
