Some people name some Pokemon. Let's say a total of five. I'll try to draw them.

Turned out quite decent. Others eventually.
Did an outline for Purugly, but it's body shape is so weird and the pose I gave it is a bit awkward, so I might need a lot longer. I might also scrap the pose and do something completely different. We'll see. Haven't started the others. Also thanks, gives me some practice. |

Heeeeeey! ;__;
(I chose Purugly because I know from experience that they're really hard to draw, so I figured it would make a good skill building exercise. ...There's a reason I never got the 2011 Christmas gifts ready. >_>) |

It's not so much it's hard to draw, but rather there's very few reference images I can use for it's face the way I want it. I might just let it keep a grumpy face depending on how lazy I'll feel about it when I get back to it. Honestly, the way I have it, Purugly itself is not the problem.

In an effort to break up Loki's posting streaks and cure my own boredom, I would like to propose that people name five fusions from this amusing Gen I fusion engine, and I will make some attempt to draw them. The sillier and more awkward, the better.

Going to follow the Loki format and just link to the finished results in my thread. Ivygong and Butterape are in there.

Purugly and Luvdisc.
If I just drew whatever Gamefreak sprite of Purugly there is, it wouldn't be too bad. But trying to imagine it in a different pose and keep those stupid stripes and patches and such was a total pain. I decided to combine Luvdisc with Purugly because I really couldn't think of anything creative for Luvdisc and by putting them together, it was a bit easier to just make a scene. |

Hey, just out of curiosity, what art program/device do you use? And if anybody uses GIMP, could they link me to a guide for it because I am so incredibly lost it's not even funny. >.>
Well, maybe it is to you but not to me who wants to PUNCH THE COMPUTER AND THROW IT OUT THE WINDOW [/rage] |

With the tablet, I use Paint Tool Sai. To do some edits (like animating or transparency) I use GIMP.
GIMP has a terrible user interface unfortunately and is rather confusing to use at times. I also found it not as precise as I'd like. GIMP's website itself has guides on using GIMP. It's free compared to Photoshop though, so that's like +700 points in my eyes (Photoshop CS6 being $699.99) compared to the various negatives of the UI. |

After forgetting to draw a Golusaur for 10 more times than is excusable, I finally remembered and made sure to make it as close to 'passable' as I could! And I hope tyoyo doesn't mind the guest star in this one...

Does anyone have any suggestions or advice on pixel art and sprite making? I'm thinking of making some comics using them, and I'd appreciate any help. (And right now, I've only been tinkering around in MS Paint and GIMP).
