Rangeet your sig is still way too big. Why did you make it bigger?

If <500p is too high get a better monitor.

And I didn't make it bigger.

You gotta love Rangeet's "fuck you all, I'mma do what I want" attitude.

And by "love" I mean lack any respect for since it's incredibly childish and selfish. "You guys should have to buy larger computer monitors to accommodate my choice of signature image!" Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaah no.

Besides, it's not purely a matter of screen size. Even if my monitor were 9,000 pixels tall, something would still be very wrong when 90% of the height of your post was your signature. Aesthetically it looks terrible and it makes it a chore to find the post bodies hidden amongst the sigs.

If Kuno says to make it smaller, I'll make it smaller. But considering some people- such as DTFG(nothing against you, I think your signature is prosome) have just as high sigs, I thought I'd go with 500 pixels for a nice maximum signature size and worked from there. So thank you very much.

And "it looks terrible" happens to be your opinion.

Rangeet's sig is broken for me too, but the broken image is still so big that it fills more than half my screen.

Yeah signavatar appears to be down so :p

But yeah if you guys set some kind of minimum size I can shove my sig down to that, but tell us what the size is.

I'm home now. Let's get this shit settled. Signature size is not about how large your resolution is. That isn't a factor for me. What bothers me personally about large signatures is the ratio of the post. Let's explain this using pictures. Photobucket sized down some of the pictures a bit, but it should still serve my purpose.

This is just fine. Look at it. Fits like a glove. But when we open the spoiler...

Uh oh. Look at that shit. Too big.

When we look at Yukis current signature, you can see it is kind of large. Hopefully this helps people understand my logic behind things being too large.

Can't load the pics since I'm on dial-up, but do you want me to make it smaller (somehow)?

I think he means it's too high and not wide enough. In which case...what?

Rangeet, you have to see how ridiculous your sig is. It's just... huge. Way too tall. It's at least 15x larger than your actual post.

I see the VitalstatistixNightmare one, which I measured earlier and was astonished to find was only around 485 pixels tall (pic + credits text).

It's also just quite simply not a well formatted sig, but I guess there's no accounting for bad taste.

Oh. Right. Centering exists.

This better?

I can't really speak, seeing as my sig is a tad large (read: larger than Rangeet's), but personally I find that it's the ONE GIANT IMAGE that's off putting, whereas two smaller images, such as in Kuno's sig without spoiler, albeit about the same size, looks much better. Formatting is a thing.

To be fair, that's kind of always what max size boils down to.

Though your Nightmare image is incredibly wide and you should shrink it.

It's 800p and should like never cause your screen to stretch, or did centering it mess that up?

Edit: Your image is 758p and centered as well, so. Uh.

I don't care how your sig looks. I care about the size. This is an image of your signature while on my laptop.

The answer here isn't to fix my desktop resolution. With a smaller or larger resolution, it doesn't fix the problems created by my examples above.

Yes but I've been saying from the bloody beginning that if you think >500 pixels is too tall for a signature then you should probably say what size is a good size.

I discussed it here with Talon. 500 is too big. So do it less than that.

If I get annoyed at everyone having sigs at that size, I'll probably change it again as an FYI. I never liked having limits because people will try to cram their sigs to be as large as possible.
