The plan was to have your Charizard take and fly the two grunts as far away as possible and hopefully drew the rest of the gaurds with them making it easier for you to sneak inside.

Your partner was also to keep shooting off flamethrowers as if it was on a rampage, hopefully this could buy you not only time to sneak in unnoticed but to also get enough time to find the riolus mother and her trainer.

With Froakie on your back there was a chance that he could help you take out other people if he was latched on backwards. But for now you crept into the outpost and wove through the tents and stalls looking for something you could use.

Keys to cages? Maps of outpost? Some kind of direction pointer would help you right about now and off in the distance you could definitely hear people chasing your fiery lizard partner yelling commands and with flashes of light.

Inside one of the tents you found some keys, so you grabbed them and took them with you. In the next tent over you found several bins full of clothes which actually could be useful for smuggling people out so you tucked the location of this tent in your head... Perhaps you should have froakie or one of your pokemon mark it with something subtle.

As you kept wandering around you soon heard sounds of people crying and loud clanking noises and drills. So... You decided to head in that direction.

One of the problems was that you had no idea where your targets could be in this mine, but also it would be cruel to have an opportunity to free all of these people and not take it. For you could count at least fifty people outside the mines.

You also happened upon the thing that was keeping these people here. A couple of Claydol were floating above a cage filled with little children and pokemon too small to effectively run or work any machinery. The cage bars were too thick to slip out of unless they were caterpie size or ditto like.... So if that was were they were kept then how did the Riolu get out??
Well considering Riolu was a fighting type it was more likely it worked in the mines alongside its mother and trainer...

So far everything was going well for now but here you needed to come up with a escape plan. And if it was possible you also needed to send for help because there was no way you alone could take down a whole stint like this even if you were a good battler. You may have to send a pokemon back with a note to try and gather the people of dead man's rest or send for the police or hunters guild surely they would be able to get here if you sent something and held for enough time.

Despite this, it seems content to help you on your mad path towards near certain doom. Instructing the Bisharp to dig beneath the fallen tree, the blade covered Pokemon approaches and begins to claw away at the ground. The ground is hard and compact, making it hard for the Steel type to dig through, but he slowly makes progress. The Bisharp slowly disappears beneath the tree, its legs flailing around like a Magikarp as it attempts to burrow under the fallen tree. Eventually the warn Bisharp emerges on the other side of the tree, letting out a sigh of relief before it screeches at you to follow

Worming your way through the hole, you soon make it onto the other side. Scrambling back to your feet, you dust yourself off and look at the path ahead. The path tapers upwards on a rather steady incline, but you have a feeling that the path will get steeper further up. As you prepare to continue along the path, you hear a loud crash not too far away, likely just around the next bend in the path. What could it be? Was someone in trouble? Maybe it was a Pokemon on a rampage? Either way, it was likely best to proceed with caution.
Hugo riggled his way through the frozen dirt tunnel beneath the tree, being greeted by Bisharp on the other side. The Steel type conveyed a look of annoyance and was a little dirty, but other than that, he didn’t seem much worse for wear.

“Thank you for doing that,” he said to Bisharp, hoping that he understood Hugo’s genuine gratitude. “Let’s just hope that’s the last time we end up in the ground today, right?”

Nothing like a little gallows humor. Bisharp shot Hugo a suspicious glare. He certainly wasn’t afraid, but all this talk about destiny and knowing Hugo as long as he had, Bisharp naturally wondered if Hugo had bitten off more than he…and Bisharp, by extension…could chew once again. Nevertheless, despite his flaws, Bisharp owed a great deal to Hugo. He was the only one who showed any true kindness and concern at a time when Bisharp had lost everything and was looking to punish the entire world. Bisharp knew Hugo was a good and honorable man and if Hugo truly felt like this was his destiny, well, Bisharp would stand shoulder-to-shoulder and fight alongside him. Now and always.

CRRRRRRAAAAAAASSSSSSSSHHHHH

Hugo and Bisharp both shot to attention, their heads swiveling toward the source of the sound along the path. They couldn’t see what it was from where they were standing, but they knew it could not have been far off. Getting past the tree was an obstacle, but not a particularly dangerous one. What was beyond it…it could be anything.

Hugo and his Pokemon lock eyes. Nothing needed to be said. They both knew what the other was thinking. They were going to make it through this path or they were going to go down trying. Hugo nodded solemnly to the Sword Blade Pokemon.

“Alright then. Let’s go.”

They'd made it inside and it sounded like Charizard was pulling off his mission. Once inside the encampment they did their best to search for anything of use. Xander happily snatched up some keys, they'd surely come in handy. There was plenty of clothing laying around as well, so Xander had Froakie mark the tent with some Frubbles so they could find it later. They continued on, eventually finding where everyone was being kept.

There were so many people working in the mine, Xander wasn't exactly sure where to start looking for Riolu's mother and trainer. Besides, this whole setup was completely wrong, they had to shut it down. They even had children and small Pokemon trapped in a cage! They likely wouldn't be able to take this whole place down by themselves, even if Charizard came back. They'd need help. Who would help them though? The only other person they'd met out here was.... that girl! Xander quickly dug out the rock the girl had dropped.

"Froakie you've got a new mission. Head back to Dead Man's Rest with this." He handed the rock the girl had dropped to Froakie. "Show this to everyone, maybe someone will recognise it. You did a great job of telling me what was going on here, do the same with them. You even have some of the darts to show them. Bring whoever you can get back here as fast as you can, alright?" Froakie croaked quietly, he understood. Xander watched the dust kick up as the Froakie sprinted away, moving as swiftly as his legs would carry him.

Now he just had to work out a way to make things a little easier. Xander ducked into a nearby tent, checking to make sure it was empty first. Once inside, he released Chimchar from his ball, as well as his Treecko. The Fire type quickly put out his butt flame once more, well aware of the current situation. Treecko needed a quick debrief, but once he was filled in he was eager to put in some work. "Alright so I'm thinking we try and tunnel our way into the mine from up here. We need to speak to someone so we can get some more information. Chimchar you Dig a tunnel down, Treecko keep watch, let me know if we draw too much attention." Both Pokemon nodded before getting to their respective tasks, Chimchar clawing through the ground while Treecko carefully pulled back the flap of the tent, peering out to make sure no one was coming.

King Ghidorah- Despite the loud crash and likelihood of some angry Pokemon around the next bend, you and Bisharp share a look. You both knew that you'd have to face whatever it was, this was only the first step of a long journey towards your fate. You both hustle along the path, as it curves around you find quickly find the source of the crash. A large Steelix lays unconscious on the ground, a Pokemon of that size certainly would make a loud noise as it hit the ground. What had managed to take it down though? Bisharp quickly spots the Steelix's better, but what he points out is a complete shock. A small purple rodent rests atop the defeated behemoth. Was that a Rattata? Surely not!

"Hey, what are you doing here?!" A sharp voice cuts through from behind the downed Steelix. A young man climbs up over the defeated Pokemon, his yellow shirt looks a bit too small, his cap turned backwards on his head is worn and his blue shorts seem like an inappropriate choice for these conditions. Despite this the teenager shows no signs of being cold, the blood clearly running hot through his body. "We knocked that tree down so we wouldn't be disturbed, that's quite rude of you. Since your here though, how about fighting my Rattata?" The Rattata snarls at you as it assumes an aggressive pose.

It seems you've been challenged, surely a Rattata wouldn't take you long to defeat, you'd be on your way in no time....

There were certainly an…odd air about this young man. Something almost familiar. The Rattata. The…shorts. A bell was going off somewhere in the back of Hugo’s mind, but he couldn’t quite put his finger on it. Had he met this person before? And why exactly is he dressed this way? And also, how is this happening at all?

Hugo knew he had to make a decision quickly because this character didn’t really seem like the patient type. Bisharp turned and faced him, the Dark type shooting a “what exactly is this?” look.

“Hey uh, you know, that’s a great offer. And certainly an impressive Rattata there. Just uh, just give us a moment, if you could. We need a quick huddle. Bisharp? A word please?”

The two took a few steps back, leaning closely together to try and keep out of earshot.

“Okay, so like something is definitely off here, right? I’m not just imagining things.” Bisharp nodded in agreement. “So like, it’s a Rattata. How hard can it really be, right? I mean, it does appear to have taken a Steelix down. But it couldn’t have done it on its own right? There has to be another explanation.”

Hugo looked over his shoulder. He could see the misdressed youth was getting weary and the Rattata was still poised to attack.

“Then again…look, man. I don’t know what the hell is going here. I can’t explain it. But it’s looking like if we want to get to the guardian, we’re going to have to go through these two.”

Bisharp nodded and moved to turn, but Hugo pulled him back in closely.

“Wait. I know this is just a Rattata, but we cannot underestimate it, understand? We cannot let our guard down.”

Bisharp nodded, and turned to set itself in place for battle.

“Uh, okay! We’ll accept your challenge! Ready Bisharp?”

The Sword Blade yelled angrily at the Rattata.

“Alright! Bisharp, start off with Iron Defense! Then hit that little purple bastard with Psycho Cut!”

Meetan: Physically outmatched, you take this as a cue to keep Axel out of trouble reluctantly, and instead vouch for the support of Samantha the Snubbull who doesn't look all amused at the predicament. Taking a quick assessment of Axel while you convey hurried orders to the canine, you are thankful that the Abra is bruised at worst, yet as the Primeape barrels forth, its eyes catch with the newcomer, who lets out a fearsome roar at the Primeape, whose charge is suddenly stopped. Between the naturally intimidating appearance of the Snubbull and the unexpected noise, the enraged pokemon is taken aback to your surprise, and for a brief second it almost looks as if the Primeape might have been genuinely shocked.

The surprise quickly wears off however as the pig monkey shrieks before diving forth and grappling with the Snubbull, hoping to beat her into submission as it begins to sock her in the face recklessly and repeatedly, a plan that would work well for most pokemon were it not for a couple of factors. One, Samantha's fey typing helping to weather the storm. Two, those hefty fangs. With superior strength, she chomps down right onto the fist as it swings in for another strike and sinks her teeth in deeply with a snarl, and the Primeape howls in pain before trying to shake the pokemon loose. Kicking up a storm, the angry pokemon seems to have finally hit boiling point, literally as a sudden blast of fire erupts from the mentally overheating Primeape and Samantha is caught in the wave, forced to let go by the searing heat, but not as hurt as she should be given the inefficiency of Primeape as a specially based pokemon.

Seething, the wild pokemon gives a holler and the other three Primeape, all of which are faring poorly, promptly abandon their fights to dogpile Samantha, the quartet beating the poor pokemon up, but thankfully the Sceptile is on hand to help out. Giving pursuit, the starter pokemon takes a deep breath before exhaling a mighty torrent of draconic fire that bathes over the group, causing them to cry out and back off, and as one of the Primeape shakes itself off it decides it's had enough, screeches some sort of pokemon profanity and storms off. The other two who were facing the tribesmen's pokemon promptly stare daggers at the gecko and bound after it as it backs up towards its allies, while your Primeape grumbles before shuddering suddenly, a slight pang of paralysis affecting it from the Dragon Breath as the Snubbull dashes forward, no longer pinned down and roughly plays with the ape while it's distracted, not at all affected by the dragon move in lieu of her typing. Knocking her opponent over, it certainly feels the sting now and begins to really get angry, stamping and bounding around before rushing at her in rage and kicking out.

The Primeape's looking rather beat up at this point, but still fuelled by unnatural hatred while Samantha's surprisingly still fairly good despite the brutality of the previous assaults. What's next?

Lil'twick: Giving the Shiftry a bit of a meek word of gratitude, you and your entourage take the pokemon's offer and venture through the tree passage, you ducking a little to avoid bumping your head against the wood, and after a short walk you come across a screen of foliage, with what sounds like music and merriment emanating from behind it. Brushing the brush aside, you and your pokemon are quickly overwhelmed by the sights and sounds, as well as the scale of the scene before you judging by the size of the tree compared to what lay within.

A veritable festival stretches before you, hundreds of pokemon of many shapes and sizes dancing and prancing around. An extremely tall yet familiar figure towers in the middle, the Exeggutor happily being decorated by pokemon running around it with streamers, while over by a carefully kept fire some braver pokemon take a run up and leap over it into a shallow pool of water, giving laughs. A number of lengthy logs serving as tables lie to one side laden with berries and treats, while a trio of Lurantis dance around, small pokemon clinging to their legs and ringing around as the grass pokemon give some cheery kicks, while the far side of the grounds hosts a few Floette and Roselia creating some bouquets and wreaths. Between them all, the atmosphere is electrical as some pokemon play spar with each other while a couple simply sit there and enjoy the scene.

So transfixed by the scene you fail to realise the Flabebe from before in front of you, and at its curious squeak you jump a little, thankfully keeping the cake balanced.

"You're here! The others have already delivered our treats to the snack bar, so all we need now is to place the cake over on that stump there," they chirp, pointing tiny hand at the other side of the festival and to a large stump laden with all sorts of trinkets and gifts, presumably for the prince. "I'll escort you there, though it won't be too long before the prince arrives! I can't wait to see his reaction to our gift!"

As you head for the stump, you can see your other pokemon looking at the various sideshows and attractions, and the air around you seems to be exciting them as much as it is you. Gratefully placing the hefty cake upon the stump with a couple of the Roselia helping out there and marvelling at your creation, you feel the urge to go forth and join in the festivities.

-~Fairy Garden Challenge 2: Festival Flurry Fun.~-

It's the prince's bloom festival! With all the fun and games around, you've got the chance to take part in the occasion with your pokemon and to let loose! There's five activities you can take part in with up to two pokemon each, though you feel the prince will be here soon. With the commotion with the Floette and Roselia, you believe you have enough time to participate in three events before his arrival, but the biggest question is which ones?

Exeggutor Decoration: Standing happily in the centre of the festival, a mighty alolan Exeggutor cheerfully yet carefully dances around, a great number of streamers dangling from their top. Small pokemon such as Gloom and Skiploom are dancing around the tall pokemon, wrapping him in the streamers like a great big living maypole! If you join in, you might get to take one of those pretty ribbons with you as a souvenir!

Bonfire Beltane: Despite appearances, the tree is large enough to host a bonfire, carefully maintained by a gaudy Ludicolo and a spunky Litleo, with a pool of water behind it. Some fearless Zigzagoon and Venipede take turns getting a good run and leaping over the fire, landing in the pool behind it, and from the sounds of things it is symbolic of a fresh start by facing your fears. If you're feeling brave, taking the leap might leave your pokemon feeling stronger, and if they do get a little singed in the act, they at least have something to cool them off!

Fruitful Feasts: The lengthy tables lie there laden with loads of lovely luscious treats, all fair game for visitors and festival goers. A few hungry Grubbin and Bunnelby are sat there, enjoying the many berries, while a chubby black Raticate stands with their Munchlax friend, sampling many of the goods that have been made, in excellent moderation. Helping yourselves to some snacks will always be welcoming, and you can spot some of the creations you've made as well, so having the express opinions of two gourmet pokemon on your skills should surely be a boon to you and your pokemon, especially if they're impressed!

Lurantis Morris: Across from the feast, three Lurantis are dancing away with some Chingling dangling from their legs in an improvised contemporary morris dance, and a number of bipedal pokemon are following suit! A Kricketune conducts with a number of Chatot and Jigglypuff to create some magical music, and the tune is almost so catchy that you feel like you want to join in the dancing with the pokemon. Heck, it feels like your pokemon feel a few years younger in the vicinity and might just recall some tricks of their youth in the jig!

Wreath Wrapping: Near the Prince's stump hover some Floette, the evolved form of Flabebe, and their Roselia friends as they make some wonderful floral wreaths! A large number of flowers lay in baskets and plenty of plants and twigs from the tree and garden are gathered for making the displays, and by the looks and gossip of the pokemon regarding your cake, they seem eager to see how well you and your pokemon do in working with plants and other objects. Indeed, making a wreath sounds like it could be a lot of fun with your pokemon, and with some pointers here and there you could learn quite a bit from the experienced florists, and maybe, just maybe, you could bring a special something back with you!

In your reply, you may describe how each event unfolds, and in the subsequent update you'll find out what you've been rewarded with.

Leo could only stand in awe at the festivities. All of these Pokemon having fun , enjoying these fae celebrations of their prince. It felt as if everything was at ease... That he could just let go and enjoy the party he was invited to. And that's exactly what he was going to do.

After finishing setting up the food at the table, Leo looked around to get a better idea of what activities he could partake in. He noticed an Alolan Exeggcutor getting ribbons tied around it by smaller Pokemon. It was something that was certainly interesting, and nothing like he's seen in Alola. After all, most of the Exeggcutor there hung around the beaches and relaxed, but were super scary when provoked. He giggled a bit, remembering the Exeggcutor stampede hammering away at the walls surrounding Po Town. Luckily Guzma was there and a well coordinated effort with his Golisopod saved the town. This Exeggcutor was nothing like those ones, seeming happy to let to Pokemon play with it.

Next thing that caught his attention was a large bonfire. Wasn't something he was expecting in this large tree, but then again warmth was always needed. The Ludicolo and the Litleo were managing the flames pretty well, so there looked to be no risk of the bonfire getting out of control. It also seemed some Pokemon were running and jumping over the bonfire into a pool of water. Some kind of feat of strength?Fire was certainly a destructive force, but it can also be comforting when properly managed.

Turning his head back towards the food, he can see a variety of Pokemon congregating around it now. He was happy to see so many Pokemon enjoying what he made, it was a warm happiness that just caressed him and didn't want to let it go. Still ,he did see a few Pokemon talking about his found. They seemed to be able to speak like the Flabebe. He should get some advice and feedback while he's here.

Though, across from the feast looked to be some sort of musical juncture. A few Lurantis were dancing away, and a Kriketot played a lively little tune. There was a youthful look in the steps of the Pokemon that were dancing along, and that could be a good dance if he wanted to do that.

And lastly, near the stump, was a Floette handling a group making flower wreaths. They seemed to be interested in him, as he could see a few glances every so often from the cake to him. Perhaps they were curious if his decorating skills applied to more than pastries. It certainly sounded fun.

Rounding up his team, Leo looked at the six fairies and decided on what they were going to do. There were certainly options, many options, but he thought of the best to do with who he brought.

"Okay, Souffle and Cott, let's have some fun with the Exeggcutor! Just grab a ribbon in your hands and go round and round with me! Once we're done, Honey and Sprinkles, let's make some flower crowns. I trust the two of you the best when it comes to plants, so this should be a fun juncture. Then last but certainly not least, Custard and Carrot, meet with me near the food table and let's talk with the two gourmands over there. Would like to hear their insight with two of my most trusted helpers. Let's go everyone!" Leo exclaimed, letting the rest of his team disperse as he went with the Swirlix and Igglybuff to the Exeggcutor. It'd be fun not matter what happened!

-

Arriving at the Exeggcutor with the Cott and Souffle, Leo looked for a a few free ribbons. He manages to find three openings, and placed Souffle on the closest one and let her have fun running along the Skiploom near her. He did give a quick warning about not getting too carried away, as she could fly away due to her buoyancy. The next one he gave to Cott, and told the Swirlix to bite on it gently. If he bit too hard and got excited, he could end up tearing the streamer off and hurting the Exeggcutor. And with those two going off, Leo grabbed the last one and just sort of hoped along to the rest of the Pokemon there.

It was certainly fun. seeing the others run along and enjoying the company of other small Pokemon. There seemed to be a vibe of whimsy among the Pokemon, and circling the Exeggcutor was certainly entertaining... For a few minutes. To Leo it felt he couldn't keep with the pace of the others, he was just too big to enjoy the activity to its fullest, but hearing Souffle's happy squeaks was more than enough for him, and Leo took his bow out towards the flowers.

Seeing Sprinkles and Honey already there, he found a few flowers and plants already laid out for him. Honey grabbed him a few vibrant flowers with nice scents, definitely befitting of the Cutiefly. Sprinkles, however, got a small piles of leaves and mushrooms, all small to act as accessories to the flowers Honey got. Feeling a little bit of inspiration, Leo started working on a wreath.

Combining the leaves and weaving them together with the longer flower stems to make a good base. He was primarily using the pink and white flowers Honey gathered, wanting to create a more brighter floral wreath. Once the foundation was set, Leo went to work adding the tiny mushrooms as accent pieces, bring attention to the more muted flowers, but acting as a nice accent to the brighter, fuller flowers. Wiping his brow, he looked at his creation and seemed happy about it. Hopefully the other Pokemon would like it...

After waiting and showing it off, Leo finally went back to the food table. Grabbing a quick snack, he was able to find Custard and Carrot, and went towards the two gourmands. He explained a little that he helped create some of the food today, and would like some feedback. He started listening to the Pokemon, taking their advice and keeping notes of it. Seemed like Custard and Carrot where doing the same, and the two Pokemon helped when it was his turn in response to ask about different foods.

Hopefully the Prince would arrive soon to enjoy all of this. Would be a shame if he missed this.

Before there was civilisation, there was nature. From the very void, Arceus was said to have created the world from a single seed and nurtured it with His thousand arms into the land we call home today. However, for all His power, it was not by His hand that life was created, and that nature flourished, for the world grown was barren and empty. Thus was it that Xerneas and Yveltal were created after Time, Space and Antimatter, to create the Cycle of Life and Death, and Zygarde to maintain the Order of the Cycle. With the Cycle started, the land slowly grew from nothing to something, rivers began to flow and the cracked sands toiled to dirt, which bore shoots of grass, then shrubbery. Within a few centuries, a vast forest grew forth, and expanded to cover much of the world's landmasses. Yet, all forests had to come from somewhere...that somewhere is a tract of land known as the Arboreal Cradle, the beginning of life on our world. From within, it is said that Creation continues and the Cycle remains constant, the literal beating heart and lungs of our world in action, and the Order of things maintained, so that when life can no longer remain, Death takes it with dignity to return it to the cycle.

For centuries, explorers and searched for this land, with no avail, and only at the advent of technology has Man at last discovered a world that They have not touched. Expeditions and exploration began with the intent of exploitation, yet the forces within have prevented such disaster from occurring and invaders have been repelled by the Guardians of the Arboreal Cradle, with the few who escaped alive relaying tales of incredible sights and riches, of civilisations who have lived and grown to become one with the Cradle. Following intense lobbying and debate among world leaders, it was agreed that the Cradle be classed as a Nature Preserve, one that no corporation or group shall attempt to exploit, and for only those with permits to travel to.

That was three hundred years ago, and today the status of the Cradle remains protected, though the laws pertaining to the land have been alleviated somewhat so as to allow anyone to travel there. With the doors effectively opened, trainers have flocked to the Cradle to discover a forest unlike any other they have ever encountered.

The Arboreal Cradle consists of five separate and distinct, yet closely intertwined and linked forest biomes, each connected to each other through a central border area, and the boundaries between each are so connected that one may pass into another biome without realising it.

Grandshroud Forest
The Temperate Forest

The largest of the wooded biomes of the Cradle, Grandshroud Forest encompasses much of the central forest belt and stretches to the far west, and comprises an area estimated by explorers to be at least the size of Sinnoh, if not larger. The forest itself consists of a variety of trees from the humble oak to the mighty redwood, and is by far the most popular forest for visitors and tourists due to this diversity. With permission from its caretakers and natives, a permanent settlement has been erected amongst the foliage to cater to the increase in traffic, albeit with some concern among the locals. Nevertheless, for those who wish for the great outdoors, there is no better forest than grandshroud Forest.

Grandshroud Forest is a temperate forest, and many pokemon who reside within it are suited to such a location, making it suitable for easier adventures, debatably. Throughout your travels in this area, you have the option to visit several sub-areas, which are listed below. (please reply in forestgreen)

Sub Areas

Cedar City: Slowly developed over hundreds of years, Cedar City takes much of its form from Hoenn's Fortree City, but puts the latter to shame in magnitude and splendour. Constructed around and within a thicket of cedar trees, the settlement is considered to be the first port of call for weary explorers to put up their feet and relax. Walkways stretch for miles, some of which even venture out of the city to the surrounding woodland for those who enjoy long walks, and the buildings are eco-friendly by design and requirement. Trade with the natives of the forest are frequent, and the shrewd investor can find themselves with some interesting deals by day. At night, the natural light filtering through the leaves and spot of clearance allows for sights of the sky that are almost unparalleled.
"Wow."

It was relly the only word that came to mind. He'd heard of Fortree City, of course, in the land of Hoenn, but never seen it in person. Cedar City, many said, put the former to shame, and for someone who'd spent his entire life cooped up in Twinleaf Town where literally nothing happened, this was all rather overwhelming for 10-year-old Ark.

Sinnoh is such a huge region, but I don't think it has anything like this place either...

Ark had given this trip a lot of thought. A mere week ago he and Chimchar were racking up Starly battles in Route 1, but after he was so effortlessly trounced by that mysterious passerby, a fire was lit within him.

"He kicked our butts like we were nothing," he said to the ape perched on his shoulder, "and yeah, we probably are nothing to someone as strong as him, right? But he left us something very valuable in the end, so..."

As he spoke, his gaze shifted to the easy-going, mild-mannered Turtwig that walked beside them, a parting gift from the blonde man for reasons Ark could not possibly figure out.

What kind of guy just randomly gives away a Pokémon - a Turtwig, of all things! - to a kid they just met? What was he thinking?

Oblivious to the attention he was receiving, Turtwig looked around Cedar City in wonder. The Grass-Type was the contemplative kind, peaceful and friendly if a little bit lazy; Ark could tell he was just as young and inexperienced as himself and Chimchar, but they'd all grow stronger together - this adventure was the very first step!

"Come on guys, let's find the Pokémon Center. We could use a rest before we go out there make ourselves famous!"

It was a pretty epic way of saying he had no idea what to do next. How did Trainers find adventure exactly? Or did adventure find them?...

King Ghidorah- You knew something was up this guy and his Rattata, you just couldn't put your finger on it.... Nevertheless, you were almost certain there was no getting around these two, you'd have to go through them. Even though it was a Rattata and Bisharp had a clear type advantage, you weren't going to act recklessly. You had to conserve strength if you were going to challenge the guardian, losing Bisharp to a silly mistake here could prove costly. You accept the challenge and Bisharp glistens as he steps out to meet his opponent, his Iron Defence rising as he prepares for the Rattata to attack. However the mouse seems to be Focusing as well, gathering its Energy to increase its likelihood of landing a devastating Critical Hit.

His defence strengthened, Bisharp surges onto the offensive, blades glowing with Psychic energy as he prepares to cut the Rattata down to size. As he lashes out, the Rattata zips out of the way, making use of its small stature and incredible speed. Bisharp pursue, hacking and slicing through the air, each time missing the Rattata by the smallest of margins. You watch as the rat's trainer grins, he certainly was confident. "Now Rattata, Flame Wheel!" The Rattata stops its retreat and instead spins forward, surrounded in a veil of flames as it slams into Bisharp's chest. The Steel type lets out a groan, shocked by the amount of force behind the attack. As he is knocked backwards he lashes out, managing to land a glancing blow on the Rattata, however the Normal type doesn't seem all that phased. "Oh you managed to get a hit in, that means you're already doing better than the Steelix did!" The boy begins to chuckle, as does the Rattata who stands confidently on the still unconscious Steelix. "Alright Rattata, Thunder Wave!"

The Rattata begins to charge up electricity, its tail crackling as it prepares to launch its attack. Bisharp was already having trouble keeping up with the quick little rodent, if he was paralysed their was no way he'd be able to keep up!

Despite his best efforts, the Rattata was proving to be just a bit too elusive for Bisharp’s Psycho Cut. Though he managed to catch the rat toward the end, the hit from the Flame Wheel may have proven to be more costly. And now he had a split second before Bisharp became a statue thanks to Thunder Wave.

“Shit. SHIT! USE DIG! USE DIG!”

Perhaps the best strategy to deal with this bizarre youth and his overpowered vermin Pokemon would be to attack from the protection of the ground. Hugo knew that as long as the Rattata could see Bisharp, it could try to dodge his attacks. But if he could blindside him from underground, maybe that would give him a leg up.

Plus, it would give Bisharp a temporary reprieve from the risk of paralysis.

The Rattata was fast, there was no denying that. And Bisharp couldn’t hide in the ground forever. They needed a surefire attack. One that couldn’t miss, no matter how fast the Normal-type zigged and zagged across the frozen terrain of the Cradle. And they needed to slow the pace if they wanted to even out the playing field. Hugo wracked his brain of Bisharp’s attacks. Despite being highly leveled, the Sword Blade’s movepool was not overly expansive. Then it came to him.

“Bisharp! After you use Dig, hit it with Feint Attack and then slow things down with Scary Face!”

Hugo looked across the battlefield at his opponent. The smug teenager with his poorly fitting clothes. What an odd person. But at the same time, Hugo had to admire him. Clearly the elements of the Cradle didn’t intimidate him, and he has clearly done a good job with his beloved Rattata. It was actually really impressive.

“Hey kid!” Hugo called to him over the battle. “Go fuck yourself.”

No matter how long Alice had lived in this weird world, the brutality of Pokemon battling was something that she would never fully adjust to. Watching the Primeape and its friends relentlessly ganging up on and beating her poor fairy had Alice calling out in upset protest, her psychic Pokemon reaching out a hand to set upon the young woman's shoulder. To Samantha's credit, evidence of the abuse was barely visible, and the Snubbull acted as if the strikes had been nothing to her at all. Thank goodness the Sceptile had their back, even if Alice had briefly forgotten her Pokemon's draconic immunity and panicked. She was shaking and teary eyed from the stress of it all, even if in reflection they had faced far worse in the past. In fairness, though, the day had already been long and arduous even by this hour, and some of their worse battles still hadn't felt as savage as this mess.

At least some of the Pokemon had buggered off, but one of them was left and it was clearly angrier for being humiliated. Alice had read before that some Primeape became so angry that they died, and Arceus knows this one was likely to face an ending like that. Goodness. "Sammi, use Feint Attack to dodge it, then go back in - Bulldoze its legs and Play Rough again!" The trainer encouraged. Samantha nodded, having shaken off her assaults without care, hastily racing on all fours to try and do as she was asked.

King Ghidorah- With a Thunder Wave incoming, you react quickly, ordering Bisharp to Dig. The Steel type quickly leaps into the air before spinning straight down like a corkscrew, churning through the hard earth. Unfortunately the hard rock slows his progress, and as the Rattata launches the wave of electricity it manages to catch his feet. It wasn't full paralysis, but it would hamper his movement speed somewhat, but easily better than dealing with full body paralysis. The Rattata looks around, unsettled about not knowing its opponents location. As you taunt his trainer, the teenager clenches his fist as rage blushes across his face.

"Steel yourself Rattata, we're more than capable of handling these two pieces of shit. Get Revenge as soon as it shows itself, then Counter that Feint Attack!"

Before you can urge him against it, Bisharp bursts from the ground, leaping out to strike Rattata. He succeeds in knocking the Rattata off its perch atop of the unconscious Steelix, but the rodent comes right back at him. Fuel by anger he tackles Bisharp, knocking the Steel type onto his back. Its little claws do devastating damage as it exacts its revenge, the Super Effective Fighting type move made all that stronger thanks to Bisharp attacking it.

The Rattata leaps back, allowing Bisharp to regain its feet, it certainly was confident. Bisharp strafes forward, feigning its next point of attack. He then lashes out suddenly, striking with his blades as he hopes to catch the Rattata off guard. He lands his attack but certainly doesn't surprise the Rattata, who Counters the blow and returns serve, only twice as strong! Bisharp groans in pain, how was this puny thing beating him?! He glares at it with his toughest Scary Face, but the attack fails to have the full effect on the tough little Rattata.

"Have you worked out what you're dealing with yet? This isn't just any old Rattata, this is the top percentage of Rattata. We've been together for years now, just me and him, nothing is too tough for us."

The KnightsFurt Update

Your plan was hinged on the fact if you could gather help... You certainly could do your best with your pokemon and if you had time to think things out you could possibly bring this whole thing down on top of whoever was running this what seems to be a illegal mining with kidnapped slaves.

Froakie hopped away from the encampment as fast as it could and on the way it passed by the oasis where Bayleef and Wartortle where hiding, having tucked the stone you gave it into its frubbles.
The same girl who you had taken it from looked on from a nearby cliffside watching the frog running, Wiping her tearstreaks away from her face she ran to Dead Man's Rest.

While you had Chimchar dig its way into the dirt trying to find a way to sneak in, you soon did... In a unpleasant way...

The dirt crumbled under your feet and you slipped into the whole down into the tunnel beneath that tent, after looking back and seeing you fall your treecko made the spilt decision to jump after you and try to catch you but instead it just landed on top of you while your chimp managed to hang upside down in the tunnel it made...

Getting up and looking around you noticed you were in some abandoned or lesser used tunnel that was just aglow with stones. Fire stones, Water stones, Thunder, Sun, Dusk, Dawn, Icy, Shiny... All kinds of stones just sitting here looking as if they were untouched on purpose.

What where they after then? Z crystals were rare outside alola but not so much so that one couldnt find one, they were just akin to Mega Stones. Hard to find.

You'll find out soon enough bit for now your goal was to find a way to free all these people and possibly get them to help you over throw their oppressors.

But how....

Froakie continues the long journey towards Dead Man's Rest, moving as fast as his legs can carry him. He passes the oasis where they'd left Bayleef and Wartortle to look after the Riolu, but little did he know that Wartortle was no longer there. The turtle had slipped away, it wasn't the first time he'd failed to follow instructions and it likely wouldn't be the last. Where he'd gone was unknown....

Meanwhile, Xander now found himself in a tunnel filled to the brim with evolution stones. No wonder these people were so eager to mine here! These stones would be worth thousands, millions even! For all he knew there was more to be found here, but that could wait until later. He had two options, head towards the entrance and risk being seen by the Claydol or head deeper and hope to find someone further in. It was probably best to scout out both options. "Chimchar great digging, head deeper into the tunnel and see if you can find any miners or anything of interest. Treecko, cling to the ceiling and head towards the entrance, see if you can't lure someone down here without drawing too much attention to yourself." Both Pokemon nodded and went in their instructed directions, Chimchar dashing deeper into the tunnel, his buttflame lighting the way while Treecko uses his unique ability to cling to climb up to the ceiling of the tunnel before making his way towards the entrance. Xander would wait patiently, they didn't need to act fast at this point, they had to wait for Froakie to return anyway.

Update for TKF

Treecko continued crawling upside down upon the ceiling of the cavern shrouded in darkness barely visible and only then thanks to the soft glow of the evolutionary stones. You set it the task of finding someone and unfortunately you had no idea if it would bring friend or foe... Only one way to find out.

It didnt take it long to find a teenager shackled in chains with her hair tied slopply in a pony tail. This girl noticed the treecko right away almost as if she had braviary eyes, looking down the cavern it came from she soon saw you standing there and slowly inched her way to you as quietly as she could.

Meanwhile you noted that there weren't many Claydol sentries here but there were still human sentries. Those you could take out with the darts. Three gaurd/sentries. About ten slaves and the closest one was inching her way to you.

Treecko helpped you keep track by wagging its huge tail certain ways above people. Back and forth meant foe
Side to side meant friend.

Also turning around you noticed your Chimchar was gone so you scooted over to its newest hole and saw another situation. The cavern below was way better lit and appeared to have even more sentries of humans and pokemon with twice as many slaves.

Pokemon slaves appeared to be under Hypnosis and the more stronger people appeared to be as well for they didnt have chains on them but still worked like those who did have chains on them.

Wheeling around on tracks where carts chock full of glowing stones. But from this far up you couldnt tell what kind they were.

Also........ It appeared that Chimchar was in trouble. He kept looking up at you and trying to find a way to climb back up into the hole. People will soon notice that he's not a wild pokemon nor a hypnotized one.... And that meant big issues that you would rather not deal with at this moment...

"What are you doing here? Your going to get us all killed." The girls voice scared you away from the hole but why wasn't she happy to see someone to help?

She also acted like she knew you... But how?

What will you do and say?

It doesn't take Treecko long to scout back towards the entrance, there were less Claydol around down here but more guards than they'd expected. The gecko also manages to get the attention of a teen girl, who manages to slowly crawl back up the tunnel towards Xander. He would have payed the girl a bit more attention, but it seemed as though Chimchar was in a spot of trouble. Chimchar had made some useful discoveries, including what seemed to be the main mining chamber and a mysterious stone that seemed to differ from the evolution stones around them. Unfortunately the cavern he'd gone into was much more populated. More guards and slaves, some of which were clearly hypnotised. Chimchar would stick out like a sore thumb should any of the guards catch sight of him. Right now there was no way of getting him back up, he had to find a way to blend in. Xander couldn't afford to shout down instructions either, Chimchar would have to think on his feet!

The Fire type was concerned, he needed to find a way out of here, fast! Most of the other Pokemon were walking around in a trance like state, at the moment it wouldn't be hard to tell he was the odd one out. It was time to Role Play! He studied the hypnotised Pokemon, this seemed easy enough. Slow, calculated movements, almost machine like. Blank, dazed expression, concentrating solely on the task at hand. Now he just needed something to do. He looked around for Pokemon similar to his size, he'd blend in and help them do whatever they were doing. If all went to plan, he'd be able to blend in long enough for Xander to sort something out.

Xander breathed a sigh of relief as he saw Chimchar take the situation into his own hands, one less thing for him to worry about. While he was concerned with Chimchar, Treecko and the girl had made it back to him and she was now asking questions. "You could be a little more grateful, we're here to save you, all of you." Xander wasn't sure, but the way she talked was like she knew him. Certainly odd. "How long have you been here, can you fill me in on the situation? I've pieced bits together but the whole story would certainly help."

“How exactly do you measure that?” Hugo asked, trying to simultaneously hide the panic in his voice and throw the kid off-guard at the same time. “Is there some sort of global Rattata evaluating society? Can I see the documentation that verifies that it is, in fact, in the top percentage? Sounds like to me you might be making it all up. Pics or it didn’t happen.”

Hugo didn’t actually doubt that the Rattata was in the top percentage. It was certainly performing as if it was, at least. And it was loaded with attacks that were super effective against Bisharp. But a battle wasn’t just Pokemon vs Pokemon. It was also Trainer vs Trainer. Perhaps in order to throw the Rattata off its game, Hugo first needed to get into the head of its Trainer. And it didn’t seem like he was going to be too hard to goad.

Bisharp was reeling though, so Hugo couldn’t lose focus there either.

“Bisharp, toughen up with another Iron Defense. Then let it hit you—”

The Steel Blade swung his head back at Hugo with a “what the hell did you just say?” glare.

“Listen, let it hit you and then double down with your own Revenge. Then go for the critical hit with Night Slash! Go on! Now!”

Bisharp reluctantly dragged itself back into fighting position, even though he knew more pain was on the way. Hugo shared a knowing look with his Pokemon before it turned its attentions back to the Rattata and Hugo turned his to the trainer.

“Anyway, like I was saying. It’s not really a good idea to go around making false claims like that. Sure, you’re probably thinking “well, I’ll just show you how good my Rattata is” and all that. But be that as it may, it doesn’t really provide any sort of proof that this is a top percentage Rattata and not just a really good Rattata. Truly, please explain to me, what sort of certifications have you received that can verify your credentials here?”

Could Hugo talk his way out of this one? If he could get the trainer to focus on him instead of the battle, it might just give Bisharp the opening he needs…

The girl looked at you for a full solid minute as if she was debating... Then she spilled the beans.

" First of all I dont know whos running this whole stint but heres what I understand from where I came in.

They are after Mega Stones and Z Cyrstals, and while they don't mind the extra profit from the regular evolution stones, they aren't as concerned about them as they are the main two. They collect people by kidnapping them and then keeping loved ones hostage.
Most of the time they are little siblings.
They won't hurt them and they get fed better than us but if us diggers try to escape or try to fight back then they drag those kids off somewhere and then they end up hypnotized. "
She nods down below where chimchar started to role play like those other pokemon and was currently helping out a wartortle.

"We dont know why they want those stones, maybe they are building an army? Or selling them to markets... We dont know because they wont talk around us."

The girl looks dejectedly down below as if she was one of the people trying to rebel and got her family hypnotized.

Meanwhile back at the oasis a sudden ruffling sound made Riolu and Bayleaf jump. Something was nearby and it was hard to tell if it was friend or foe... Since Wartortle ran off it was up to Bayleaf to defend this helpless weakend Riolu.

And back in the Center of the mine inside the largest tent the same man and woman rubbed their hands together for a grunt told them they were nearing their target....
But the gaurd made it seem as if the target was alive...

What will you do?

King Ghidorah- Hoping to engage the Rattata's trainer in a bit of psychological warfare, you begin to question the quality of his Rattata in hopes of baiting him into acting rashly. The teen seems to be growing red with rage, but he suddenly becomes aware of this and calms himself with a deep breath. "You think you can break me that easily? I wasn't just out here training Rattata, I've been training myself as well. Maybe you should consider training yourself as well, your Pokemon deserve better."

As you engage in a war of words with Joey, Bisharp steels himself, boosting his defence even more. Joey's Rattata seems content to wait and see what happens, his trainer issues him no orders. You feel like something is up, but you have no idea what. "Alright Rattata, now use Thunderbolt!" The rat crackles in electricity before launching a powerful bolt of lightning at Bisharp. The Steel type charges head first into the attack. He pushes through the pain, letting it fuel him as he prepares to get his Revenge. He leaps into the are before coming down with a powerful punch, that literally breaks Rattata. The Substitute crumbles but the real Rattata is nowhere to be seen. It isn't a mystery for long though, as the Normal type soon erupts from the earth behind Bisharp. It strikes with a powerful Dig, super effective yet weakened by Bisharp's enhanced defence. The Dark type lashes out with a powerful Night Slash and is luck enough to land a critical hit, causing the Rattata to shriek in pain. It was actually starting to look beatable!

While it didn't look like you'd be able to shit talk your way out of this one, but maybe you did have a chance of overpowering the resilient rat.

What will you do?

The girl filled Xander in on the situation. So they were after Mega Stones and Z Crystals?! This place was better than a literal gold mine! He knew that the ancient ground of the Cradle likely concealed some hidden treasures, but this was truly beyond belief. "Alright, thanks for that." Xander considered the information and tried to figure out how he could use it to his advantage. "Help should be on the way, but if we are to have any chance of freeing everyone, we need to swing the odds in our favour. That means freeing the enslaved and taking down guards." I'm going down into that chamber, you can either stay here and keep watch or come with me, the choice is yours."

Xander slips off his bag and retrieves an Escape Rope. He lashes one end to a nearby boulder and prepares to slide down through the hole into the chamber below. He hands Treecko some of the sleep darts they'd taken earlier, the Geecko would need them. "Alright Treecko, when the coast is clear I'm going to drop down into the chamber. Hopefully if I can at least avoid looking at anyone head on, the uniform should give me some limited cover. We're going to try and isolate some guards and when I give you the signal, you dart one and I drag him away. Got it?" Treecko nodded, he'd hang from above and snipe the guards, Camouflaging himself to make sure he wouldn't be seen. "So, are you coming?" Xander asked the girl.

Meanwhile, Chimchar had managed to blend in with some of the other Pokemon, including someone he certainly didn't expect to see. He slowly made his way over to Wartortle, how the hell did he get in here? The chimp gives his sneaky friend a nudge but Wartortle scowls at him, was Chimchar trying to blow his cover? Chimchar casually directed Wartortle's attention up to the hole in the ceiling, the Water type could see Xander preparing to enter the cavern. They had to draw attention away. His eyes begin to glow faintly as he taps into his psychic strength. He often used Confusion to play tricks on people, this time it would come in handy. He would use the attack to throw off someone who was carting materials, hopefully it would cause enough of a commotion for Xander to slip into the cavern without being seen.

Bayleef was nervous. Wartortle had left them, thinking they were more than safe hidden by the oasis. That didn't seem to be the case anymore, as something or someone was clearly lurking nearby. She extended her vines in preparation. As soon as she saw something she would wrap them up tight with Vine Whip and lull them to sleep with a Grass Whistle.

“I have to hand it to you, kid,” Hugo shouted over the melee. “It’s clear that you’ve put in the time with your training.”

And then under his breath: “but clearly not the same amount of effort into your sense of fashion.” Would the kid hear him? Who knows? Did Hugo even want him to hear that? Maybe, maybe not. Hugo couldn’t tell if his antagonism was working or not, so he was just going to go with it.

Meanwhile, Bisharp had landed a few key strikes to the Rattata. The Substitute diversion was a clever strategy, but it didn’t come without its own risks. Hugo knew that, in order to use Substitute, a Pokemon had to sacrifice a substantial amount of its own HP. That, combined with the critical hit from Night Slash, should have done a good deal of damage. However, despite his best attempts to bolster Bisharp’s defenses, Hugo knew he couldn’t keep enduring all of these super effective attacks for much longer.

Bisharp bounced back from the attack, panting heavily and waiting for Hugo’s next instruction. Hugo could see the will to fight in Bisharp’s eyes, but he could sense his exhaustion as well.

“Bisharp, don’t worry. It won’t be able to hit you with any more underground attacks. Use Magnet Rise.”

Hugo pondered for a few more moments, trying to choose the next move strategically. They were getting to the final throes of battle here and one false move could spell the end.

“Then, I want you to use its own power against it with Metal Burst.”

A few more seconds past. Bisharp looked to Hugo expectantly. Then the light bulb went off. Hugo was going to have to take a big risk and he knew it. But if they could pull it off…

“Then go for the throat. Use Guillotine.”

Bisharp looked to Hugo as if to say “are you sure?”

“No risk, no reward, right?” Hugo said, through an uncertain smile. Bisharp nodded, and turned his attention back to the battle.

Maskerade: So many trainers taking part in journeys to the Arboreal Cradle were in their late teens or older, experience and life having guided them towards wisdom, but you were quite the opposite. Almost a spitting image of many of those famous prodigies, you had ventured out into the world at a tender age with naught but your starter and a companion in the form of Chimchar and Turtwig, the former of whom was just as excited as you were. On your own, you and your entourage had opted to venture to Cedar City, seeking fame as many ten year olds do, and at awe at the sheer scale of the city, vouch for the pokemon centre as the first port of call. A wise choice, many would agree.

You wander along the many raised walkways, looking out for the telltale sign of a red roof, while taking in the many sights of the city. Sturdy bridges of cedar wood intertwined with thick ropes, hoisted over some beautiful vistas and views of the forest floor, and of course the variety of pokemon. Some are familiar to you, a couple of Pachirisu scampering up the trees while flocks of Starly twitter on branches, and that says nothing of trainers, a pair of which are engaged in a thrilling battle, a Hakamo-o deftly blocking the chilly rays of a Weavile while closing the distance between them. You almost want to look for a battle yourself, but your feet are starting to ache a little and rest is something you desire as you come to a large building with the familiar ceiling. Before you can enter though, your attention drifts to a pair of voices.

"Have no fear, people of Cedar! The streets will always be safe under our watch!"

"No bad guy, no crook, can escape the sights of Dawn Mane and Dusk Wing!"

The source of this ruckus very quickly makes itself known as a pair of kids a bit younger than you come barreling around the corner wearing some surprisingly well made, if garish, costumes. The older of the two, roughly nine years if you were to guess, wore a yellow tunic with a flashy collar laden with small black stripes, and some gloves in the same vein, while the younger one, about eight years, took a dark blue approach, with a couple of sizable plastic discs taped to the back. A couple of bystanders seemed to roll their eyes and continue on, yet as the pair of youths made a triumphant stance, you couldn't help but feel they were a bit out of place, and the centre was just within reach.

What will you do?

Meetan: Stressful as things were, the charging Primeape was still a danger as it rushed for Samantha, and you quickly convey evasive action to the Snubbull. With a bark, the canine waits patiently and watches the pig monkey carefully as it swings, before feinting beneath the incoming leg and lashing out with her own attack on the open leg, kicking the fighting type in the ankle as it shrieks and tumbles over onto its face. With it downed, she then begins to stomp around, seeking to keep it grounded with a bulldoze move, and while it takes some time for the Primeape to find its feet, it does so, and at this point is considerably battered and still just as angry as before. So angry in fact it starts throwing a major tantrum and starts bounding around, stomping with magnified fury at the Snubbull who tries her best to stay stable, until the ape leaps and lands on top of her heavily, knocking her to the ground.

Groaning, Samantha gets up off the ground as the two other Primeape are sent hurtling into the bushes by the Sceptile, while yours cracks its knuckles, daring the canine pokemon to try that again. Your final command issued, she howls at the Primeape and rushes forth, no longer playing around, while the monkey does the same, taken in a frenzy with a power trip. Both attacking pokemon meet in a rough and tumble brawl, going all out at each other in close combat and for a few moments you begin to worry if the pair are trying to kill each other. Eventually the fighting breaks off, Samantha weary and bruised while the Primeape stands, huffing and puffing...before toppling backwards, seething in exhaustion. The other two Primeape crawl out of the bush and snort indignantly before grabbing their protesting porcine pummeler and beating the hell out of dodge.

Samantha gained 3 levels!
Axel gained 1 level!

As you catch your breath and begin to collect yourself and Samantha, the Zl'anaians call to you, and though communications aren't the best you somehow manage to glean that the group is mostly fine, the guy who got clotheslined early on reeling but otherwise not seriously injured. The Sceptile points further onwards, and the group waits for you before you proceed onwards towards their neighbours.

A short while later your team finds themselves outside some wooden gates, and one of the men gives a small toot of a horn, as if to signal arrival. A few seconds pass before a head pops up over the wall and the pair begin to chatter, before the head dips back beneath the gate, which opens slowly. As your group begins to head in, the gatekeeper swiftly brings up an arm barring your passage, and looks at you with some expected suspicion. Perhaps it might be an idea to curry some favour with these strangers?

Lil'twick: Festivities abound, you opt to enjoy yourselves with three activities that seem best for your squad of fairies, and while Honey and Sprinkles headed for the wreaths and the Togetic and Carbink ventured towards the feast, you decide to go with Cott and Souffle to the Exeggutor to entertain the pair.

The Exeggutor chuckles as the Igglybuff takes a hold of one of the streamers and begins to bounce around him, and with a gentle flick of the tail head the balloon pokemon is launched into the air with a gleeful squeak, drifting around the smiling heads of the tree, while the Swirlix scampers around with you, clearly enjoying himself as the coloured ribbons are tied around the grass pokemon. While your size meant you didn't have as much fun as the other two, you nevertheless kept an eye on the pair and felt they were in good hands, and taking a moment to bow out, you are briefly stopped by the tail head, who looks up at you with a small grin before taking a quick whirl around and motioning you to look up. Doing so, you quickly notice the ribbon floating down and catch it, while the Exeggutor asks you keep it to remember the brief yet spirited time you spent with it, citing that it had been a while since he last saw someone like you.

From the Exeggutor Decoration, Cott and Souffle gained 2 levels, and you received a Binding Band!

Moving along, you decide to check up on Honey and Sprinkles, and find a number of plants gathered to get you started on your own wreath. A few of the longer flowers to form the base, you are pointed out here and there by a Roselia who picks out the best plants for a sturdy body, and once you get going your artisanal skills are deftly demonstrated. Pinks, whites, greens and reds, there's even a few small mushrooms here and there to really bring out the colours, and the very scent of it was wonderful to say the least. Honey buzzes cheerfully while Sprinkles certainly seems to have forgotted all about the harrowing trip here, and by the time you're finished your wreath, you find it's a bit smaller than expected.

"Oh, don't worry about the size," the Roselia quips, "it's the spirit that matters, and you have a spirit that's bigger than any wreath we can make. It may be small, but it is just as beautiful as that cake you and Flabebe made for the prince. Hold on one moment, I think we can help you out there with cleaning up." A couple of minutes later, your wreath is hanging on the walls of the grotto with others, your name spelled out on a small plaque beneath it, and a small leaf satchel is presented to you as well as a quick lesson by the Roselia to the pair of pokemon.

From the Wreath Wrapping, Honey was taught the Tutor Move Signal Beam and Sprinkles was taught the Tutor Move Synthesis, and you obtained a Floral Satchel!

Inside the Floral Satchel are Two Tinymushrooms and Three Silver Leafs, worth a total of $500.

With the festival going well, you feel the slight pangs of hunger and venture towards the feasting table where Custard and Carrot are, and very quickly your attention is grabbed by the Raticate and Munchlax, both with satisfied smiles on their face.

"Ah, you must be the Leo your Togetic was telling us about! Wonderful friends you've made, boy," the rodent comments, before taking a bite from one of your eclairs. "And might I say, a splendid baker at that. Why, I had to tell myself to stop after a few of your shortcakes, such was the gentle melt in the mouth texture and honey!"

"Likewise, although I will say that the cupcakes were a little on the soft side, but certainly not a dealbreaker," the Munchlax states, a little more critical. "I would say a couple more minutes in the oven would have hardened them up a little, though I did enjoy the nanab loaf, which complemented the nectar dip wondrously." With praise thrown around, you spend a while discussing your creations with the gourmets, listening to their tips and even enjoying a couple of your delicacies while heeding some sage advice, and when you're done talking the Munchlax and Raticate look at each other and nod.

"Before you head off, we feel that you should be rewarded for such fine provisions to the Prince's Bloom, as should your friends. Here, don't be shy!" they happily say, handing you a small basket of assorted sweets with grateful nods as you accept it. Custard and Carrot come to your side, curious as to the contents of the basket and generally having had their fill of the sweet treats offered.

From the Fruitful Feasts, Custard and Carrot gained 2 levels, and you received the Gourmet's Hamper!

The Gourmet's Hamper contains Five Fruit Poffins, which share the effects of a Yummi Gummi granting one Bond per poffin, and Three Marzipan Crackers, which function similar to Rare candies, granting the consumer one level.

---

With all the hustle and bustle, the party is definitely in full swing and the atmosphere is electrifying, almost literally as the leafy ceiling above you glows with a warming, unearthly light, and as you marvel at it your attention is grabbed by a small poke at your cheek, and you find the source of said poking to be the Flabebe from earlier.

"Ah, Leo! You made it! The Prince is due to arrive shortly, and I'm excited, but also a bit nervous! What if the Prince doesn't like the cake? What if he's too busy?" The fairy's panic reaches a pitch when a pair of Floette begin to blow on some grass whistles, the melody high pitched yet soothing enough to grab the attention of everyone in the grotto.

"My apologies, friends, may I have your attention please! Today is a special day for us all, and it would be my pleasure to give you the honour of announcing the arrival of the Prince!" The two fairy pokemon drift to the side as a leafy screen is parted, revealing one somewhat different Floette to the applause of the audience. With blue body and antennae, and gently holding a beautiful yet haunting red flower, in stark contrast to the cheerful flowers of the other Floette. The Prince looks around the grotto, a small smile on his face, yet for some reason when his gaze meets yours you feel a sudden surge of sadness, fleeting yet profound, and as the gaze is broken that feeling of something not being completely right lingers.

"Thank you, friends," the Prince speaks, calm voice oddly deep, "even in this dark time, you come together to make my day of bloom so much brighter. From the smallest of Oddish to the tallest of Exeggutor, the friendliest of Cutiefly to the grumpiest, but wisest Shiftry, each of you can always be counted on to put a smile on my face." Turning his attention to the cake, his reaction is unexpected.

"Mother of Mew, that's a big one..." he whispers to himself, eliciting a few quiet chuckles from the crowd while he inspects it from a few angles, before taking a razor-sharp leaf blade, and cutting into the cake as the entire grotto goes deathly silent, the only sound being the gentle rasp of the leaf as it finishes cutting a slice of your masterpiece, and the world watches with baited breath as the Floette takes a bite of the cake, Flabebe trembling uncontrollably...

"...mmm, very nice...reminds me of my younger years when I lived with humans..."

A ruckus of applause and cheers erupts as the royal seal of approval lands, as does Flabebe upon your hand, having fainted from the shock of it all. As the Prince takes another bite, one of the Floette beckons you forward, seemingly keen on letting the prince meet the baker. Shall you?

King Ghidorah- This battle was certainly more than you had bargained for. What the young lad lacked in fashion sense, he certainly made up for with grit. Perhaps this was a top percentage Rattata, or perhaps it was just that it was so well trained. The boy seemed to lack any other Pokemon, the only one he knew was his Rattata. With all his energy focused on one Pokemon, it can't be all that surprising that the Rattata is a powerhouse.

Bisharp discharges electricity, magnetising his body in order to allow himself to levitate a couple of feet off the ground. Seeing Bisharp show off some knew tricks, Joey decides to have Rattata show off as well. "Alright Rattata, Double Team then go in for a Reversal!" The Rattata begins to run rings around Bisharp, quickly creating an army of feisty rodent clones. Bisharp spins in place, unsure of where the 'real' attack is going to come from. Realising its futile, he instead begins to amass energy, a metallic aura gathering around him. The horde of Rattata rush Bisharp, leaping in unison as one strikes with a tremendous Super Effective hit. The power of the attack signifies how weak Rattata is growing, although it is hard to judge considering how weak Bisharp is to Fighting type attacks. With the Rattata in close, Bisharp lets his aura burst, extinguishing all of the clones and sending the real Rattata flying backwards.

There was little between them at this point. Bisharp and Rattata look equally bruised and battered, it could go either way. Deciding to pull out all the stops, you order Bisharp to go in for the kill. The Steel type's blades glisten as it prepares for the Guillotine. You knew the risk of such a move, it was unlucky it was going to hit its mark, but if it did then the result would be guaranteed. Bisharp zips towards Rattata, but as he strikes he misses by a mile and instead cleaves a boulder in two!

"I've got to admit, this is the most we've been challenged in a while", Joey smiles, as if he still has one last trick up his shorts. "How about it Rattata, one Final Gambit?" The Normal type is exhausted, if it meant an end to this, he'd do it. Rattata gathers every last ounce of strength it has and forms it into a glowing orb. He cautiously takes aim before launching the attack. Striking Bisharp with one final blow. Both Pokemon collapse onto the cold, snow covered earth, unable to fight anymore.

Bisharp gained 4 levels!

"Well, thanks for the training", Joey recalls his Rattata into a simple Pokeball and continues back down the path. He tosses you something as he passes you, a token of respect perhaps?

You received a Life Orb!

You were now clear to continue up the Edelweiss, but with one of your best fighters now unconscious, things were going to be even harder.

You received a Life Orb!

You were now clear to continue up the Edelweiss, but with one of your best fighters now unconscious, things were going to be even harder.
Kneeling next to his fallen partner, Hugo caught the orb with his right hand. While it wasn’t large, the pink orb had a certain weight to it, clearly providing more power than meets the eye.

Despite the bizarreness of the teenager and his Rattata, Hugo had no choice but to respect him. He fought hard and has trained his Pokemon well and pushed Hugo and Bisharp to their absolute limits. Hugo believed the feeling to be mutual, the Life Orb as a token of appreciation. He watched the youth disappear down the path, feeling like he understood him even less than before they had met at all. Hugo delicately placed the Life Orb into his backpack, feeling that it would come in handy later on this journey.

Warm feelings aside, Hugo had a new problem. He expected Bisharp was going to come out a bit worse for wear from the battle, but he was hoping to avoid a total knockout. But what’s done is done, and Hugo knew that he was going to need Bisharp not just for the remainder of the trail but eventually for when he finally came face-to-face with the monster of the Edelweiss.

Hugo reached further into his pack and pulled out a pale yellow, diamond-shaped apparatus. He took Bisharp’s head and placed it in his lap…delicately so the Steel-types head blades didn’t inadvertently sever any much needed appendages…and saw no sign of life behind his beady eyes. Bisharp was out cold, but still breathing.

He lifted the Revive and held it just below Bisharp’s nose and twisted the top clockwise, causing it to open. Within a few seconds, an equally pale yellow gas began to emit from within. Hugo watched as Bisharp began to breathe in the vapor…one…two…THREE! Bisharp’s eyes shot open and he gasped for air, the Revive clearly now coursing through his veins like a shot of adrenaline. A few more moments passed, the Revive slowly fading until it was completely spent. Bisharp and Hugo both slowly got to their feet, Bisharp in much better shape but clearly still feeling the effects of the battle.

“Welcome back to the world of the living,” Hugo said. Bisharp brushed the dirt from his armor and nodded. “Almost done.”

He tossed the empty Revive aside and pulled out a small blue and gray cartridge. “This may sting a little,” he warned, lifting the Max Potion so the aerosol distributor faced Bisharp.

Hugo pushed the button and a blue mist sprayed out. Bisharp winced a bit in pain as Hugo applied the healing product, but once it was finished, Bisharp looked and felt good as new and ready to keep fighting.

“You did a good job back there,” said Hugo. “Who would’ve guessed a Rattata could be so powerful?”

Bisharp looked a way, perhaps ashamed that he had been taken down by the small rodent, even though there was certainly nothing to be a shamed about.

“Cheer up. You did great. We’ll get them next time. For now though, take a breather. I need you rested up.”

Bisharp nodded in agreement as Hugo recalled him to his Pokeball. Hugo took a deep inhale, the cold air sharp and invigorating in his lungs as he began to trek further down the path. It couldn’t be much further now…could it?

The girl Looked nervous back and forth from you and the hole... Her voice tried to sound brave or defiant but her eyes gave away her true feelings.
"My NAME is Lily, stupidsta."
Ooof, She was for sure a strong spirited woman. She grabbed a section of your escape rope and proceded to tie it to herself.

" I have some fighting skills but I would work better with my partner Riolu, Thankfully my mother, her lucario and I were able to cover its escape even though it meant that we would all get moved farther in and punished."

This girl was the Riolu's Trainer!!! And her Mother's Lucario had to be the one who flooded your brain with memories, which by the way as you tried to recall them to look for lily.... they seemed to be foggy and fadding from your mind.... which could mean several things.... One, they could be not permanet as you once thought and could just be fading naturally. Two, they could be a sign of something more sinister happening to the lucario.....

You had to ask Lily about this, probably now while you had the time or as you were going down the hole.

As you started descending down the hole relatively fast you asked Lily about the Memories and what they could mean.
Her face after you were done explaining wasn't giving you good vibes at all.

The leaves kept rustling moving ever closer and as soon as something stuck its head out Bayleaf jumped into action first wrapping up the opponent tight with Vine Whip and immediately started whistling.
But Froakie Struggled against the vines and tried to plug its ear holes with its Frubbles, before freaking out enough to cover one of its fists in Flames and punching the Vines.

Behind Froakie there were a few people looking apprehensive at the Bayleef and Riolu..............

What Will you do?
