I think Omega is partially vulnerable to Stop, but I don't know if that's just from the Bard song or not.

I can't inflict Stop with my party anyway, though Romeo's Ballad definitely works on it. With a couple of singers you can stunlock him. I've beaten Shinryu and Exdeath (Thank god that the part of him that uses Almagest is vulnerable to Break), so Omega's all that's left.

I bought Lightning Returns yesterday so I'm probably going to take it for a spin at some point. I'm trying to get the last two trophies in XIII right now.

I have to 5-star the Gigantuar mission so wish me luck on that.

I intend to play through Lightning Returns before I make a decision on what I think of it. I know at least one UPNer has given a positive opinion of it so I'm giving it a chance. Unless you are talking about the Gigantuar and the answer to that is "I'm a glutton for suffering".

So a few days ago I finally got around to getting The 4 Heroes of Light

And it surprisingly is a good game.
I'm parked outside Urbeth now, having gotten 2 of the 4 Bonus Crowns and planning on getting the other two before heading to the Final Dungeon.
The gameplay is pretty solid imo.

But BD is very definitely a spiritual successor of it, at least in terms of area and music repetition ;p (although the Boss, Low Boss HP, and Urbeth themes are very nice).



I also restarted IX and of course I mess up 100% completion right off the bat by forgetting to pick up the Moonstone from Brahne after I get 100 Nobles impressed.
6 Hours down the drain and I forget to pick up my reward and I save over the slot c:

That game's impossible to 100%, because some asshole thought putting one sword at the end of Disc 4 and giving it a scant 12 hours before it's lost forever was a brilliant idea. The closest you can get is 99.9% complete. Fuck Excalibur 2.

Oh no people 100%'d it with that. And the Nero Quest. And all five Promist Rings.
It was pretty interesting to watch actually, though since I'm emulating since I broke my old FFIX Disc 2 (as in snapped it in half) I can't skip FMVs so it would have been impossible anyway.

I was hoping on getting as close as possible to a 100%, and I'd be willjng to resort to cheating for Ex2 because it's not feasible to fo if you spend like half the time doing Chocobo Hot and Cold.


Also technically you could still get it if you leave the game running for two years and eight minths straight c:

Excalibur II is doable, it's just not fun. Speedrunning Final Fantasy games kind of defeats the point in my opinion.

Everyone knows the answer to any problem is lots of grinding! Although it makes for shitty streams. Speaking of, what FF should I stream after Undertale? I know I did an FFIV stream a while back but I hardly remember where I was.

In that thing if you grind in the second part of the game the Bonus Dungeons literally become impossible without hacking for Gems because the enemies scale levels exponentially.

Whatever this is, it isn't the FF7 we knew and loved.

We have Barret's look in 3D already, why does he look so different here? This super annoys me.

Also the new combat system. Why? You are going to piss off a lot of people with this.

I'm kinda confused by the trailer; There's clearly a RPG menu in the corner of the battle scenes, but the fighting looks real-time.
Ideally this means they're using the turn-based system for gameplay but a real-time system for the visuals (I remember hoping they'd do this eventually- That even when idle, the characters move around and interact, just no damage is dealt). Of course, at this point that's just wishful thinking, but we'll hopefully find out soon enough. If it's just more ATRPG I'll be disappointed.

It very much looks like ATRPG. There is a short scene where it looks like you're in control of Barret and Cloud is attacking independently. Maybe its not, but if it is I've lost a lot of enthusiasm for the game.
