Next week is a repeat of last week, the following week is a repeat of today, according to tvguide.com and other guides

I don't know why =(

I don't know, the ending was just really anti-climactic to me. I liked a lot of the scenes, but the final showdown was just... unimpressive.

Very.

It was rushed and sudden. Almost like they needed a third episode to complete it. I like Discord too much to see him go already =/

Thought everyone might be interested in this

Apparently a brony convention was today in NYC? Anyway, the following has been CONFIRMED to happen this season, so READ WITH CAUTION!

Spoiler: show
Confirmed: that Luna will have a decent amount of airtime this season... there is a "scary" episode coming.... More two parters, Derpy is getting a very brief and minor role, or possibly a whole Derpy-centric episode, no one is really sure but it's one or the other, Soundtrack CD is coming, there is a "new villain" coming, and when that was said, there was apparently an "oh, shit" moment, and he realized he wasn't supposed to let that slip.

Translation: Season 2: "YOU CAN'T IGNORE MY GIRTH"

I'd prefer PH.

Will edit this with opinions.

EDIT 1: Finished Part One. Theme music is cringe-tacular, but it's pretty good so far. I'm a sucker for cartoons, and this isn't disappointing.

EDIT 2: And there's Part Two. I'm gonna have to admit it's a pretty good show.

I think you're the only one who can honestly say they correctly guessed where they would be.

Guess who's a brony now.
Only at Episode 3, it's pretty damn good.

IT'S SPREADIN' AROUND THE INTERNET LIKE WILDFIRE

In other news, That Guy With The Glasses did his newest webisode on MLP:FIM and the whole brony craze, and it's honestly one of the best analysis of the show yet. If you were on the edge... watch this. Here ya go

Also, has anyone else SEEN this Fighting is Magic game? It looks FUCKING INCREDIBLE!! I can't wait until it releases...

Twilight Sparkle is really stuck up. What an awful horse, she has to go and act all bleachy to every pony she sees, even that really nice fashion obsessed one.

Am I the only one who finds it strange that this show has a geriatric horse and it's still a pony?

On Tuesday, as I was walking through one of the buildings on campus, I saw this:

After I'd already left the building, I realized that I should have taken a photograph for you guys. So today on my way to lunch, I made a special detour back through this building, whipped out my camera, steadied my hand, and took this close-up photo.

Rewind to Tuesday. I figured I'd keep my eyes open and see if I could find any other ads on campus. The only thing I saw was a meek, 2"x2" ad in my favorite building on campus from my undergraduate days, the Foreign Languages & Literature (FLL) building. Fast forward back to today. I make a special point of revisiting this building and snapping the photo you just saw.

Today, I had a little time while I waited for the bus to take me to the parking lot, so I decided to make a quick tour of the nearby buildings and see if I could find any more ads. Most of the buildings turned up nothing, but the liberal arts headquarters, Beering, had this guy at the corner of one of its hallways on the first floor. Same template as you saw before but I figured I'd upload this photo too anyway.

Well well, what's this?

I find this hilarious. I saw your picture on Reddit the other day, my immediate thought was that it was the work of your friend you mentioned. Also, Talon, give any thoughts to that Purdue Anime Club? ;)

AND Dopple... Granny Smith is young. She just has a disorder that makes her appear old is all. Probably. I think. Well... yeah.

Also, I'm finding that I like Applejack a lot more and more, which is.... odd. But yeah.

My friend has nothing to do with this. First of all, he graduated years ago and has a full-time job (not with the university), so he wouldn't be able to make a university club anyway. Second, he's not one for these sorts of things. Is he a brony? Hardcore. Does he want to meet up in the physical world with 3-5 geeky children and discuss PONIIIIIIIIIIEZ! ? Not really. Fellow adults with whom he's already cultivated relationships online? Sure. But 19-year old children who speak in chan memes and Cartoon Network quotes? No. Which brings us to ...

... that anime club. I was a member for one year. He was a member for never. He really doesn't care for that crowd, and by the end of one semester they'd worn me down enough, too, that I dropped out of the club halfway through the following semester. I dunno, I personally would never want to watch anime or MLP or Star Trek or anything I remotely cared about with a large group of obnoxious, noisy fans. These people are so desperate to laugh, like the patrons of a comedy club, that a pin might drop and the room would erupt into forced laughter as a response save myself and a few other uncomfortable souls wondering if we're about to be eaten alive by this hoard. But for the record -- that was 2004, this is 2011. A lot can change in seven years. So I'm not going to weigh in on the PAC one way or another. Might be great, might be terrible.

They tend to show the popular stuff (minus the ShonenJump shows that have 100+ episodes) with one or two artsy things thrown in for good measure. Like, when I was there in 2004-2005, they showed Samurai Champloo, Last Exile, Planetes, Chrno Crusade, Samurai 7, Texhnolyze, Uchuu no Stellvia, Midori no Hibi, Tsukihime, and a couple other things I didn't stick around for ever because they were aired way too late at night. (Actually, that was true for Texh and Stellvia, too.) Of these, the only show I really liked was Planetes (which I really liked and to this day consider a Top 5 Anime). All the others ranged from "entertaining" to "so bad I dropped it 3 episodes in." If I had to guess what they have planned for this fall, I would imagine it to include Fate/Zero, MajiKoi, UN-GO, and Shana 3. Which doesn't sound bad at all. Problem is, if it's anything like 2004's club, they're going to ruin the viewing experience for Fate/Zero and Shana 3, the latter by constantly laughing at every "Urusai! Urusai! Urusai!" Kugimiya Rie fanbait line, the former by "HRAUUUUUGH! " roaring and clapping and whistling during every epic fight scene. But like I said: that was 2004, this is 2011, things may be different so I'll withhold judgment.

My god, you've just described the high school anime club that I visited for exactly two and a half meetings!

Also, too lazy to link, but season 2 pictures have been leaked, one of the new theme song, and another of Luna (!) looking slightly evil and wearing a brown hooded cloak. ORIGIN STORY EPISODE MAYHAPS? MAYHAPS? Or is Luna going to be BAD?! :O

Alright, so...

Spoiler: show
Season Two Episode 4: Luna Eclipsed
Air Date: October 22, 2011
Synopsis: It's Nightmare Night and the macabre celebrations are in full swing when Luna herself shows up in Ponyville, determined to change her frightening public image.

I, um.

My friend who has been making fun of me for the show and I had a conversation today in which there were multiple instances of him saying 'yay'.

I finally just said "Why do you keep saying yay?" and after a long pause he responded with "Because I did a thing."

Just to be sure, I sent him Fluttershy saying yay to which he responded "yay", and then a "Welcome to the Herd" to see his response, which was just another "yay". So we'll see if he's just pulling my leg or not...

Also, I can't stop linking Tara Strong to Twilight now, so unfortunately when I saw this, I feel like she lost her innocence ;_; Skip to :57

BORKED

edit: Luna-centric episode officially confirmed for Episode 4. Mazeltov.
