UPNers are super profound.

A word of caution before we start: This thread is best viewed on a style set with a black background. As of this writing, those are Dark Umbreon, Halloween 2011, and Talon no Yabou.

Erasure poetry is the art of erasing words from a pre-existing writing to create an entirely new work. You can re-cut the results into lines/stanzas or let them stand - your choice. Either way, we know this forum is full of brilliant minds with all sorts of hidden meaning in their posts, and this will be our way of demonstrating why!

For example, let us appreciate a minimalist screed against chain restaurants by phoopes:

And "it looks terrible" happens to be your opinion.
You can make your own UPN erasure poems by quoting a post and blacking out the irrelevant words. Make your own, and feel free to twist posts as far away from their original meaning as you like!

My answer is clear. I would accept him as a person, but not homosexual behavior. I would not allow him, while under my roof, to "see someone" nor bring that someone here, and I would not encourage him to pursue such choices. I will not at all participate in his choices in the matter, which includes sanctioning any union with one of the same gender, or permitting any such partner from entering my house. I would pray to my God, and encourage my son to also commune with God, and make choices as informed by Him, whatever they may be.

I have faith in my God, unto the healing of all. Why then should I not be permitted to use this recourse in my dealings with those I am responsible for?
The only one weaseling one is you, by adding so many stipulations that, 1, the overarching situation can't have occurred in the first place in my personal situation, and 2, one CAN'T describe what they would realistically do in such a situation anyway because you've blocked all recourses but
"submissively accept it, lie down, roll over, play dead, and encourage the behavior."

No, the two are one and the same. Family is a very specific thing, and marriage was designed to foster and protect family, and the children that are created from it. There can be no other definition. It's not "outdated," it is outright rejected, it is a case of one person trying to tell me an apple is a peach, when we both know that it can be nothing else but an apple, because an apple is a very specific thing, and so is a peach. And a peach can not possibly fit the definition of an apple.

Even if you pervert the language and make the word peach (marriage) include the definition of a apple (same sex marriage). The two are still visibly distinguishable fruits (social institutions) that can not ever equal each other.
um has a crisis of faith.
