I'm not using Exp. Share and I've forbidden myself from using Amie or Super Training. Want to make the run as difficult as possible because frankly the game is pretty much a cakewalk.

...which is a shame because Furret is the most adorbs thing ever.

Alright I am in the thick of things now and it is time for advicey things.

So far I have about ~16 mon I'm using semi-regularly and a good 40 I'm saving for later (lol). At the end of story, I'll trade my friends to my brother's X for a bunch of Scatterbugs so that people can get Vivillons on wonder trade. I hear that's a nice thing to do because there are all different kinds of patterns. Then I'll pop the good ones to X for some random stuff, reset, and go for broke. RNG EVERYTHING. Perfect IVs and maybe even a shiny or two.

Is there anything that is, competitively speaking, "worth it?" I think so far I'm leaning towards every Mega Pokemon, a few of the faves from story mode for storytelling purposes, and a few of the obviously superior Pokemon like Goodra, Florges, and Aegislash. Maybe even a couple of the things I liked at first but wasn't able to take with me on a journey where I get 3 starter Pokemon.

Speaking of story, I've become helplessly engrossed in the lives of my Pokemon. Talonflame and Staraptor are my pokeOTP right now. They're always in my party together even though that's kind of redundant.

Honestly I wish there weren't so many starters. I have a nasty habit of over leveling them and then trying to give the other Pokemon a chance, which leads to:

1.) the starter was super strong before but is not as great after taking a break
2.) the other Pokemon weren't trained enough earlier and they're still catching up to the starter.
3.) I have to work really hard about halfway into the game to win every battle.

Wondering what my Friend Safari Pokémon #3 is, now that I have cleared the E4.

Also, anyone know the chance of getting a Hidden Ability Pokémon from the Friend Safari? I have obtained a fair handful, but only like half a box.

And how do I get more O-Powers? I only have Capture 2, HP Restore 3, Attack 2, and Defense 1.

So, I am trying to complete my Vivillon collection, and I am still missing Archipelago, Monsoon and Savanna. I have extra Marine, Elegant, Meadow, Continental, Jungle and Modern Vivillon (all PKRS infected) I can give in exchange. I've been trying to use Wonder Trade, but I'm sick to death of getting 50,000 Elegants in exchange for my rarer colors despite leaving clear comments that I DO NOT WANT PURPLE. XP

I have some Modest Anticipation Eevee available to trade, and breeding more. I'd love to offer someone one for a Froakie or Fennekin with its hidden ability.

I have a Froakie with Protean, but it's Naive. Not sure if that's okay.

That's plenty fine.

Male or female on the Eevee? I only have a couple of the latter.

Pretty cool

I know not the chances but I don't like mine when going through the Friend Safari.

O-Powers you get from Mr. Bonding in Pokécenters and Hotels scattered across the land. He wears a purple/pink suit. I don't know how to improve O-Powers though. Regular use?

Anyone know what my Friend Safari is? I'm dying to know. Best guess is Ice or Poison type since those appear to be common all of a sudden

I'm jealous; shiny Scrafty is one of my favorites.

Though once Pokébank opens I can trade my near-perfect Shiny Scrafty over from Black so.

I recently got my hands on a couple Reset Bags, so I erased my Greninja's EVs. I finished EV training him with Super Training him last night. I'd say 95% of his EVs were correctly allocated, as I did some horde battles and forgot he was still in training. Most in Speed and Special Attack.

I also evolved my Phantump finally and finished EV training her.

I took on the Anistar gym this morning, instead of going to the human gym and deftly handled Olympia.

Trying to decide if I want to get more Reset bags and retrain the rest of my team. Also trying to figure out what the fourth time of day would be to get my last TM in Anistar. Stopped in the Lab in Lumiose.

Team - Greninja, Vivillon, Pangoro, Charizard, Aurorus, Trevenant

Having spent days and days in that place to get the Grand Duke title I'm nearly 100% sure they don't. I haven't seen any hidden abilities outside the friend safari.

Just finished the Team Flare story. Lady Macbeth the Gardevoir basically obliterated Team Flare with nothing but a few healing items and one elixir. The new graphics turn her into an elegant lady with murderous psychic powers. I love it.

Why the fuck did they give Mega Gardevoir Pixilate when the ONLY NORMAL TYPE MOVES SHE CAN LEARN ARE BASICALLY INFERIOR TO MOONBLAST? Hyper Voice, Snore, Giga Impact, Round, Echoed Voice, Facade, Return/Frustration, and Hyper Beam. Add Hidden Power if you're dead set on abusing coverage. Moonblast has 95 base power and 100 accuracy and it's special and there's no recharge turn. There is literally no point in taking any normal type move on mega Gardevoir for any reason.

They should have given her Magic Guard. If they wanted a new ability, they could have given her something that heals whatever Pokemon you send out next, which activates when she faints or is switched out. Not Pixilate. There are plenty of good candidates. Gardevoir is not one of them.

Yeah, I'll do that so at least you'll be able to use my Safari. Don't expect to see me online at all until I'm done the Nuzlocke, though. I don't want anyone giving me any O-Powers because I want my run to be as challenging as possible.

Sylveon is a similar waste of Pixilate, considering Hyper Voice is the only move you could reasonably use with Pixilate, and it is barely better than Moonblast, and not better enough to justify getting Hyper Voice from Gen V.

Frankly Pixilate and similar abilities are generally only good on physical attackers. Typed Return/Facade/Etc sounds really fun.

On the other hand using them with Echoed Voice in Rotation sounds like a fun gimmick.

I only run Hyper Voice on things with a mouth I can see.

Gardevoir: No.
Exploud: Yes.
Dratini: No.
Jynx: Yes.

Serious answer: The issue with Gardevoir and Hyper Voice vs. Moonblast is that, should you choose Mega Form, you're going to sacrifice 5 base power just to get a gimmicky move that uses your ability. And if you take the vastly superior Moonblast, there's absolutely no reason to take along Hyper Voice if you are going to be going Mega.

Obviously Hyper Voice could have points in its favor for coverage purposes (Energy Ball and Shadow Ball also have their merits), but then...why add Pixilate in the first place? If the one Normal move that you can reliably use (outside of, of course, SUPER FAIRY HADOUKEN Hyper Beams and gimmicky Echoed Voice/Round chains) is less powerful than a Fairy move that is equally reliable, it just seems like turning it Fairy type is a complete waste of an Ability that could be brought more in line with Gardevoir's concept.

I really like regular Gardevoir's new animations and I can't wait to get a Gardevoirite to see how Mega Gardevoir looks.
