Anyone else STILL having a hell of a time catching Necrozma? I'm False-Swiping and paralyzing and using Dusk Balls at night and it's not happening

You only get ONE heavy ball in the entire game Emi. And that goes for all Jotho balls... So sad, if you want a legendary in it be prepared to soft-reset for eternity, worse if you need an hiddenpower on it too.

I mean the Heavy Ball is going to have a better catch-rate than any other ball he can use so that's why I asked.

Update: finally caught Necrozma today. Dusk Ball is what did the trick.

Here's what would be really neat to see though: a sequel that's also a remake. As in, do a "remake" to Diamond and Pearl, but make it a sequel story-wise to Sun/Moon. |

A lot of people are thinking Star because of the trifecta of sun / moon / stars. I suspect that Necrozma might be the focus of a sequel game, it feels a lot like Giratina in Gen I-

Blasphemy!
Next you're going to say the moon is just a floating rock instead of the mirror in the sky we all know it is.

Haaaa. But seriously, they've done a decent setup for Necrozma. I'm pretty sure they've established via exposition that it's stronger than Lunala/Solgaleo and the Tapus.
Also, am I the only one thinking they aren't done with SM yet? They've set up too many things regarding Kanto to make me rule out the possibility of it being added to the game.

Kanto could be a possibility, but I think that IF they go and release Kanto they'll release it as Sun/Moon2 rather than another graphics upgrade for first gen games.

As much as I actually do want to return to a beefed up, recreated Kanto set 10 or so years after Gen 1, I'm seriously thinking all of the Kanto references this gen were just to play on nostalgia. For instance, Kukui and his history seems like a representation of Pokemon fans like myself and many others here who have been with the series since it started. I would love a follow up to the story with Kanto being a focus - let's face it, these cartridges absolutely have more than enough space for an entire second region, and that's something fans have been begging for since Gen 2 spoiled us so - and that version of Kanto wasn't even good, being a half finished mess that barely fit onto the space of the cartridge - but it was exciting, fun, and we don't have the problem of "not enough space" anymore.
So... as much as I would love it though, I really think it's just a bunch of references for OG players, and nothing more. I do think, though, we will be seeing a Pokemon game for the Switch next year. The models in Sun/Moon were way higher quality than what the 3DS can output resolution-wise, and to me that says they were preparing for the Switch. |

BOLD PREDICTION:
Whatever the next remakes are, be it Kanto or Sinnoh, will have Alolan Form starters - the starters will all have rotated their typings. For example... Bulbasaur > Water - Final form Venusaur with Coral/Seaweed on its back - same for Turtwig. Charmander > Grass, large leaf on tail - EVOLVE INTO A JUNGLE DRAGON Squirtle > Fire - Cannons become flamethrowers Can't really justify Piplup going fire type, though penguins do show up in Hawaii from time to time, so it's plausible. Could see Chimchar going Grass, too. It would be the perfect thing to shake-up and shock fans everywhere for the next remakes. |

Piplup evolves into a rockhopper penguin, who crest is made out of flames.

That said, I do not see them holding back 20+ new Pokemon. That seems absurd to me. I could see new forms, for sure, but I just don't see there being new Pokemon. |

Any rumors are this point are just going to be pointless speculation, especially since Nintendo is probably going to be trying to crack down who leaked certain aspects.
