What's MegaGengar running now, anyway? Focus Blast/Shadow Ball/Sludge Bomb/Thunderbolt?

>MegaGengar problems
Has no one heard of this beautiful Pokemon known as ScarfRachi? Since scarf Rachi easily outspeeds MegaGengar, Rachi can just spam Iron head until it dies. Or you could just throw in a ScarfChande and pray it doesn't switch. Or + 2 Aegislash. Or even SpD Aegislash .-. Just Aegislash in general. Bane to physical attackers (Who doesn't love to main EQ) everywhere. Anyways, I'm just curious on what everyone is using for Aegislash counters. GLiscor seems to be working wonders against 98% of the sets. Also, I'm finding MegaEvos really easy to deal with. MegaGarchomp misses the speed, MegaMawile can't touch Gliscor. Same with MegaLuc, MegaBlaze.... Etc, Etc. I did have a problem with MegaPinser earlier, but Aegislash took care of that motherfucker.

Encore is pretty much guaranteed to force him out. |

Does Smogon have pre-Gen VI moves for Pokemon or are they being retarded? Cause Mawile and Lucario should have no problem with Gliscor.
EDIT: Yes they do. Lost whoever you are facing has shit for brains if Gliscor is beating Mega Lucario.

Eh, I wouldn't say that's any good. The problem is you have to take a Fire type move, which 99 out of 100 times OHKOs you.

Yeah, until Bank launches, there's no way to get stuff from previous games in X/Y.
Err. Blaze? Assault Vest gives you a 1.5x boost to SpDef in exchange for not letting you use Status moves. Are you sure you're not thinking of something else? |

And yes. I had to leave and was distracted and mixed up the Assault Vest with Weakness Policy.

Has anyone used Furfrou ingame? If so, how much of a pain in the ass is grooming it, and is it worth it?
EDIT: Thunder Badge get! Choke on that, Surge. |

Well, Gliscor has been beating MegaLuke most of the time (Most don't run Ice Punch from what I've been seeing .-.) . *Shrugs* Besides, we do have Pokebank OU so they're already instigating Pokebank into this even if it's two months away. So every Pre VI Mon has BW2 MTs.

I haven't used it ingame, but grooming it is purely cosmetic, so.

And I've found that Lando-T is far better than Gliscor. Gliscor's only role is one of an annoyer, which don't do well. Sp.Def Hippowdon is walling a huge amount of current Pokemon at the moment. And Sticky Web is broke. Don't let anyone tell you differently. All you need to do to win is defeat the pure counters, and then Breloom or Mega Garchomp can sweep entire teams. I don't want to run Galvntula as it won't fit. And I really don't have the room for a Rapid Spinner.

>Sticky Web
Yeah, ran into it once on Battle Spot. Galvantula gets it down pretty easily and isn't really outsped by anything. And he also trumps every Magic Bounce pokemon. :/ |

Also, Protean Greninja is a complete monster in OU. I'm debating Hidden Power Fire though, for Ferrothorn.

Alright, Galvantula is going to be OU or BL this gen, calling it right now. It's the best Sticky Web user (Masquerain why can't you have some better stats and be bug/water D: ) imo, can deal with threats such as Talonflame, Greninja, Alakazam, and hell, even Keldeo. The Focus Sash set is arguably it's most defining set, acting a lot similar to lead Terrakion. It pairs really well with Pokemon such as Gardevoir (Blaze, she has been very useful >.>), Togekiss, Breloom, CB Terrakion, Aegislash ( 252 + Speed allows him to outspeed a majority of the Meta with Sticky Web), and countless other slower and faster Pokemon alike.
Sticky Web is also a very debilitating hazard, just like Stealth Rock has been. While some Pokemon that really needs to be hit by Sticky Web (Talonflame, Gengar, etc.) can't, others (Terrakion, Alazakam, and Keldeo) really loose the ability tosweep as wel lwhen a Breloom or Gardevoir ROFLstomps them. And don't even make me mention how this helped our Haxors. Anyways, this is from my own personal experience from using Galvantula and Sticky web. (Besides, Exca is easily taken care now that Sand has gotten nerfed).

Yeah, Excadrill probably won't be banned. The nerf to Sand kinda hit it hard. But I still don't like a Pokemon whose only decent counter is Landorus-T.
Galvantula is basically lead Terrakion at this point, I totally agree. It's meant to get Sticky Web up and then die. I don't have any ways of stopping it so my two faster Pokemon, Greninja and Mega Lucario, end up getting the thick end of a large shaft because now the things they were supposed to revenge kill (Breloom, Terrakion, Scizor) now outspeed them and kill them. I'm half tempted to run Defog Scizor, but I have no idea who to replace.

This is why Masquerain will be OU over Galvantula. Quiver Dance on the switch then outspeed and OHKO with Hydro Pump.

In all honesty, I can see Masquerain or Ariados used more in NU or RU to get up Sticky Web. They have more of a chance to set it up in those tiers, respectively. Though they'll get dominated in OU (Also, since rain got it's nerf, does this mean we can have DrizzleSwim in OU?)
