Essentially it is to Kagepro as July 7th is/was to Haruhi, i.e., the one day a year the fandom rises up from the dead before going back into hibernation.

The animé doesn't exist. There was an announcement for "Mekakucity Reload" several years ago, but no word since. Currently there seems to be a copyright battle going on so there hasn't been any general progress on the series in a while, not sure what the status on that is either. (Anyway everyone should just read the manga it's the best route fite me. *shot*)

In the Return of the Joker film, Tim's wife is seen wearing purple, which is a reference to his comics counterpart's then-girlfriend at the time: Stephanie Brown. I won't go into her whole history in the comics, but suffice to say she's had a storied past; first starting out as an independent vigilante named "Spoiler" to put her criminal father Cluemaster behind bars, then becoming Robin for a brief time before being tortured and killed by Black Mask, retconned into being alive due to controversial backlash, and finally taking on the mantle of Batgirl (before the universe got rebooted).

Her relationship with Tim in the comics was also rather rocky/somewhat problematic (given Tim's lack of respect and keeping his civilian identity a secret at first since they started dating under their hero personas), being the very definition of "young and dumb teenagers in love", but overall sweet and made a cute couple. Her similar background to Jason Todd DCAU Tim combined with her strong, stubborn, outgoingly optimistic personality made me consider just how well the two also work together - if not moreso - to the point I took it upon myself to explore how they met and got married through a fanfic I've been slowly updating over the years. (This piece was inspired by a scene from the latest chapter I just posted recently, albeit drawn way in advance anticipation. Ftr they're of older college-age here since I wanted both to be more mature than they were in the comics to avoid some of the messiness that comes with being hormonal undeveloped teens.)

I did post a couple related one-shots on UPN previously, but never bothered adding further installments since no one seemed interested. If anyone is curious to see the whole series though here's a log. The final ongoing chapter fic titled "Heroes and Thieves" is where the focus on their relationship starts, whereas the one-shots are more miscellaneous snippets of Tim's early recovery process and not really required reading. Ultimately I see Steph as both the Ayano and Ene to Tim's Shintaro, providing the light and energy needed to drag him out of darkness and depression so he can start to heal after everything.

P.S. Fwiw, I do picture the two having a daughter named "Annie" after Tim's experience with Clayface.

This is a remake of an old video from... 16 years ago? Man, time flies. It is largely unchanged from the original version for the most part, aside from tightening up the timing a bit and adding/shuffling a few scenes here and there, and as such (mostly) only contains OP footage up to the start of the Diamond & Pearl saga. I stopped watching the show around that time (or rather towards the end of the Hoenn arc when the voice actors changed since it just wasn't the same for me), but the series will always hold a special place in my heart. <3 Thanks for all the memories, Ash and Pikachu. ^^ So long, buds~

AG was lower budget than the OS but the OPs still had really good character animation. That AMV feels fresh despite the footage being older than the average TikTok user.
