Dragonair Happy Dragon Boat Festival 2019!

Happy Dragon Boat Festival!

It's the beginning of an extended, busy festival weekend in Fizzytopia, and the streets of New Fizz City - and settlements all over! - are bustling with families and friends all enjoying the celebrations. People can be seen in all sorts of new and stylish (mostly) red and yellow clothing, envelopes of money in hand and pretty sachets of perfume tied to their outfits. Red and gold lamps and signs hang from the buildings, arrangements of flowers on every street. Boats specially carved and otherwise created in the icons of Dragon Pokemon float and surge along the waters all over Fizzytopia, all prepared just for this one weekend a year.

The Dragon Boat Festival was first held 2000 years ago, inspired by events from a distant and mysterious land where seven states were engaged in a great war. In one of those great states, a famous poet known as Qu Yuan was exiled by his king, and rather than live in shame and watch his state fall to the miseries of war, he chose to die in the great river instead.

The people were distraught at his passing, Yuan's collection of poetry still revered to this day, and they were desperate to retrieve his body from the waters in which it fell, only to arrive too late. They prayed to Arceus to keep Yuan's spirit safe, throwing zongzi and other offerings into the river and banging drums in hope of warding the Pokemon in the water away from the poet's body and soul. To this day, Yuan is still remembered with races in beautiful boats, the creation and devouring of yummy zongzi and more!

So, send out your dragons and Spritzees, pray to Arceus for good health and get out there to enjoy the Dragon Boat Festival! If you write a post about how you celebrated your weekend, surely the stall owners or some lovely passer by will gift you with the following:

1 x Zongzi – A sweet rice dumpling! Inside could be anything, from peanuts to taro to red bean paste and more. If fed to one of your Pokemon, it will learn an egg or tutor move!

1 x Net Ball – To capture one of those pesky water Pokemon desperate to eat the body or soul of a loved one!

1 x An Incense of your choice (Full, Lax, Luck, Odd, Pure, Rock, Rose, Sea or Wave) – Something to help purify your home and keep your Pokemon smelling good over this wonderful weekend.

1 x Hongbao – A red envelope with $500 inside! Remember to say thank you!

$250 and bond can't be collected on these posts. You're already being gifted enough, don't dishonour yourselves and the spirits by being ungrateful. And have fun!

Mint gently set her boat in the water, the craft carefully constructed in the likeness of an Altaria, with one offering zongzi placed carefully in the middle. Just as she stood up to watch the little boat float down the river, she heard a shot from not far behind her.

Apollo, her Jangmo-o, had apparently gotten into one of her zongzi for actual eating, not expecting the insides to be as sweet as they were. Apollo wasn't one for sweet flavors, so this unpleasant (for him) surprise was eliciting quite a bit of Outrage from him, mixed with plenty of that incomprehensible shouting. As Mint rushed over to try to calm the Dragon-Type down, another woman approached her. While both Mint and this other woman were bedecked in red and gold for the event, Mint noted to herself that this new arrival seemed even more dedicated, her eyes being a deep red color themselves. Before Mint could ask where the other woman had gotten her contacts, she was left in shock when the woman spoke to Apollo in seemingly that same mystery language, which made him calm down almost immediately.

"You can understand all that!?" Mint asked incredulously. "I've been trying for months now, since not even my Rotom Dex can get a lick of it." she added.

"It's to be expected neither of you would get it. It is a tongue limited to dragons and...certain people, given as a blessing by Rayquaza." the other woman answered, stroking Apollo's large forehead scale for a moment.

"A blessing from Rayquaza...Hm, so those aren't contacts. You're really a Draconid, right?" Mint asked in return, a small grin forming when the other woman's eyes widened in shock.

"You know of our people?" she asked warily, fixing Mint with a harsh gaze.

"I'm studying to become an authority on myths and legends from the whole world. Draconids are remarkably good at remaining hidden, but I should hope I know a few of the known tells when I see them." Mint answered coolly.

"I see. You know, training Dragon Pokémon like this young one here...it is a great responsibility. They must know control of their emotions, the consequences for failure in this is always great destruction." The other woman said, suddenly changing the subject. "You have done remarkably well thus far, for this one at least, as one who cannot easily communicate with him. Perhaps, if you can prove yourself able of raising several dragons to great strength and maturity...I may be able to teach you his tongue." she added, with a knowing look.

"So...raise a full team of Dragon-Types? I suppose I can manage that." Mint replied. "But before you run off...what can I call you?"

"Hm, you know us quite well if you do not ask for a name outright. You may call me Bea for now. I suppose we will be meeting again someday." Bea replied, before turning and vanishing into the crowd almost instantly.

Mint let out a breath as the tension in the air slowly eased. Snatching a zongzi for herself before any of her other Pokémon got any ideas, she began to ponder just how to accomplish her new goal.

Down the river, the Altaria boat was joined by one in the image of Rayquaza.

(OOC: Bless you Alice for this perfect opportunity!

-Apollo stole 1 Zongzi! He didn't like the taste, but he learned MT Outrage!
-Got 1 Net Ball!
-Got 1 Sea Incense!
-Got 1 Hongbao! Thank you! It contained $500!)

"2000 years ago, huh... Strange, how come I've never heard of this tradition before?"

Jess leaned back against her Lapras' neck as they lazed across the river, unwrapping a zongzi to thoughtfully munch on as she mulled over the surrounding festivities taking place on both sides of the bank. The previous year had seen the celebration of her heritage's New Year for what felt like the first time as well, and as much as she appreciated seeing more widespread acknowledgement of her ancestral homeland, something felt... off. She couldn't quite put her finger on it, but it reminded of those nagging gaps in her memory she experienced when first setting foot upon the Springtide Isle...

"Welcome one, welcome all! Thank you for coming today, as there is no greater time to celebrate and rejoice in our prosperous nation as there is on the eightieth anniversary of the day Connor fought for our lives and continued freedom! Please enjoy the festivities we have on offer, and the games and contests there are to play. Most importantly of all, the Hero's parade will begin at noon, and the Legendary Battle re-enactment a 2pm sharp! In the meantime, please rejoice and be merry!"

...Once again, a melody disrupted from her reverie, and her mount craned around to nudge her trainer comfortingly as she cooed. Jess smiled apologetically as she stroked the singing steed.

"Thanks, Tess."

Again, the name seemed to tug at something in the back of her mind, but she pushed it aside to pull out another zongzi, offering the second sweet dumpling to her friend. Tessie hummed and took it gratefully, nibbling from the girl's palm as she nuzzled into it; tongue tickling skin as she licked up every last sticky grain of rice (including the leaves as well), causing Jess to giggle. Giving one more pat, Jess cast another look towards the shore, where people were gathered with their own dragon partners, or else lantern replicas of them. For some reason Jess felt a bit shier than normal to join them, as if she didn't have the right to partake in her own parents' culture's customs, when she was faced with the fact she didn't quite "fit" within their expectations on a daily basis, barely possessing little knowledge of their native language even. (It had already been embarrassing enough last year trying to say a simple greeting.) As much as she had been slowly improving in learning bits of phrases here and there, just based on what she could pick up by ear, she still couldn't help but feel like a disappointment - in more ways than one. (To be honest, she didn't even know much about the holiday's origins to begin with - although the rice treats and red envelopes were familiar enough to draw her.) Even her choice of comrade could once again be considered an "imperfect" candidate for not being of pure dragon-born blood, but visually at least - like her - she was a close enough relative to pass for one on the surface.

As Jess observed a father and his son at the distant edge of the water, setting free their makeshift paper crafts simultaneously, she sighed softly:

"You can't just hope darkness sails away on a boat."

Tessie twisted about again, cocking her head in confusion at her companion's mysterious mumbling, but Jess shook her head and beamed in reassurance. Despite whatever misgivings she may have, they were here to relax and enjoy in their own way, and that's what they were going to do.

"It's nothing. Come on, the race is about to start." She grinned as she watched the Lapras' sparkling eyes light up in excitement. "Let's go take a closer look, shall we?"

As they set off towards the docks where impressive and elegantly carved vessels prepared to voyage out, a certain poem once again echoed in her head: "Like a river's flow, it never ends... The clear water's surface reflects growth..." Maybe, she hadn't made much personal progress from where she was before in the past year - but she was still changing, bit by bit. She just had to keep facing forward towards the future, and not look away. ...After all, life itself wasn't a race, and while people may come and go throughout - like the ebbing of tides and ever-altering currents - her own teammates would still always be there to support her, no matter where the waves ultimately took them. Even if storm and stress were to blow them off course, they'd keep steering straight ahead and overcome any resulting challenges - together.

Picking up:

1x Zongzi (feeding to Tessie the Lapras to teach EM FUTURE SIGHT)
1x Net Ball
1x Sea Incense
1x Hongbao (contains $500)

Thank you!

The Dragon Boat Festival. A tradition dating back two millennia, and yet this was the first Keith had ever heard of it. But the person with whom he was attending this festival had certainly heard of it before, or at least of its origins, and had convinced her boyfriend to hear the story and check out the festival with her.

"...and rather than live in shame and see what would become of his former home as a result of the war, he instead chose to die in the great river," Willa was saying to Keith as the two of them traveled down the river towards where the festival was being held. "The people were saddened by his passing, for his poetry was very much revered. They tried to retrieve his body from the river, but were unable to do so. So they prayed to Arceus to keep his spirit safe, threw offerings into the water, and banged drums to try and keep the river's Pokémon away from his body and soul."

"Wow," Keith murmured. "Not only did I not know any of that, but I also never knew there was a whole festival devoted to it. This is actually pretty cool."

"WISHI," rumbled Keith and Willa's ride, for as anyone looking on would be able to see, the couple was riding on the back of the formidable form of a School Form Wishiwashi.

"Heh, even Zygill's sounding ready for this," Keith grinned. "Onward, then, Zygill!"

And onward Zygill went! Before long, they reached the spot where the festival was taking place, and the not-so-Small Fry pulled up alongside the shore, allowing Keith and Willa to disembark. At that point, Zygill seemed to fall apart- quite literally. The multitudes of Wishiwashi what that made up the School Form scattered, leaving only one for Keith to scoop up in his hand.

Zygill stopped schooling!
With that settled, they set off to enjoy the festival. Since Dragon-types were a big deal in this festival, Keith had brought along Norbert and Neville, his Haxorus and Dragalge, as well as Charlie and Rob, his Charizard and Salandit- while not actual Dragon-types, the two of them were absolutely dragons at heart. Also, Keith knew that if ever he got his hands on the right Mega Stone, Charlie could become a Dragon-type in battle. And Rob, being Charlie's son, was likewise a dragon at heart.

Charlie roared loudly, charging up a terrific Dragon Pulse in his mouth before firing it into the air. Once it was up there, the Charizard sent a tiny Ember after it, causing it to explode in midair, in a decent approximation of a fireworks display.

"Salaaaaan..." Rob murmured, eyes sparkling with wonder at what his dad was capable of. The Toxic Lizard Pokémon tried to mimic what Charlie just did, but merely managed to spit up some sludge instead. But this did not deter him, something Charlie took notice of.

"Hey, check it," Meowth said to Keith and Willa. "Looks like Rob's tryin' ta learn a new move."

Indeed, Rob was looking undeterred by the constant failure. He looked up at Charlie, who charged up another Dragon Pulse, this one slower and more deliberate, to try and show the Salandit how it was done. But try as Rob might, nothing came of his attempts to copy this. However, one passerby who was observing this knelt down and offered a zongzi to Rob, saying that a snack might help him out. Willa was a bit wary of this, and indeed, Charlie swiped the zongzi and sniffed it intently. However, the Charizard gave an approving nod and handed the dumpling to his son. This, Keith felt, was good enough for him.

Rob scarfed down the zongzi, a move he seemed to instantly regret, considering how it tasted- the Salandit was not a fan of sweet foods. He started gagging, almost as though he was about to throw up... and then, suddenly, he threw back his head and shot a picture-perfect Dragon Pulse straight up into the air!

"Heeeeey!" Keith grinned. "Rob just learned how to use Dragon Pulse!"

"Salan!" Rob exclaimed triumphantly. As though to reassure himself that this hadn't been a fluke, he shot a few more Dragon Pulses up in quick succession. And Charlie, taking the cue, launched Embers at all of them, creating an even better fireworks display than he'd been able to do.

There was a lot more to do, but one thing they all wanted to give a try was floating a boat down the river. Keith and Willa couldn't agree on a Dragon-type to make the boat resemble, so they agreed to each make their own boat instead, and float them together. In the end, Keith had made his boat in the likeness of a Dragalge, while Willa's looked like a Sliggoo. And as the couple set their boats in the water side by side, Zygill wriggled out of Keith's grip and landed in the water behind the boats, clapping his tiny fins together to give the crafts a Helping Hand.

"That was nice of you, Zygill," Keith smiled after this happened.

"W-w-wishi! Wishiwashi!!" Zygill squeaked happily in response.

"So, shall we head on out now?" asked Willa.

"Sure," Keith nodded. "Zygill, feeling up to the return trip?"

Zygill nodded. "Wishiwash!" he declared, his eyes gleaming brightly. And then, just like that, there came the hundreds of Wishiwashi zooming right back to Zygill, forming the formidable fishy formation that was once more!

Zygill formed a school!
Of course, with the evening ahead of them totally free, Keith and Willa were in no real hurry to get anywhere, and ended up hanging around a little while longer just sitting around on Zygill before the School Form Wishiwashi finally headed out to take them both back to Sludge Wave Coast.

OOC: Cool event! Thanks, Alice!

*Obtained the Net Ball!*

*Obtained the Hongbao! It contained 500! Thank you!*

Hugo always enjoyed the Fizzytopian Festivals. Not only did it give everyone a chance to celebrate, but it gave Hugo a chance to learn something new about the rich, deep culture that surrounded him. So often did it get overlooked, he was happy to see all the people showing their appreciation.

Given that it was a festival of dragons, Hugo felt it was only appropriate to allow his two dragon types join in the celebration. Tyrunt and Jangmo-o trotted happily alongside Hugo, taking in the sights and nipping at each other as siblings tend to do.

“What did I tell you guys? If there was any fighting, we would turn around and go home. Do I make myself clear?”

Jangmo-o nodded in understanding. Tyrunt, being the little hothead that he was, pouted and eyed Hugo angrily. He wanted to have fun and he wanted to have fun now.

Suddenly, the tiny t-rex took off running into the crowd. “GET BACK HERE!” Hugo yelled, but to no avail. He sighed heavily and, along with Jangmo-o, gave chase.

The crowd was heavy and it was hard to maneuver through without being rude, but if Hugo didn’t want to lose Tyrunt forever, he would have to throw decorum out the door. He barreled through the crowd, red and yellow flying in all directions.

“Tyrunt! Tyrunt come back!” But the mass of people and Pokemon proved to be too much. Hugo sat down on a bench, tired and frustrated. Jangmo-o climbed up next to him, trying to cheer him by gently nudging his trainer with his head crest. Hugo placed his hand on the Dragon-type’s head in appreciation, but it was no use. Tyrunt was gone and Hugo was very sad.

The air was thick with the smell of food. One aroma was particularly enticing to Jangmo-o, the sweet smell of zongzi. He turned his head instinctively toward the source, and there he saw it. Tyrunt, standing on a concession stand counter, an older Chinese woman happily petting its scaly head.

Jangmo-o tried to get Hugo’s attention, but he was having none of it. He nudged and prodded him, but Hugo was too caught up in his own emotion. Finally, Jangmo-o smacked Hugo across the back with his tail with a huge THWAP!

“OW! What was that for?!”

Jangmo-o motioned toward the stand with his head. Hugo leapt to his feet and two dashed over to to the concession stand.

“Where have you been?! You had me worried sick!”

Tyrunt gave Hugo a “dude, what is your deal” type of look. Clearly, he wasn’t as concerned.

“Oh is this your Tyrunt?” asked the lady at the stand.

“Yes, I’m so sorry if he’s bothering you,” replied Hugo.

“No trouble at all! We were having a wonderful time! He just ate one of my zongzi! He sure seems to enjoy them!” she stated, cheerily.

“Yes, yes. He’s a real charmer, this one. Well, I appreciate you looking after him for me. We need to be going though. Enjoy the rest of your day!”

The Royal Heir hopped down non-chalantly as if nothing had happened.

“Don’t you ever do that again! Do you understand me?!” He frustratedly turned and began to walk away, the two dragons in tow. Tyrunt looked to Jangmo-o, his smelling of the delicious zongzi, and gave him an arrogant glance that said “Jealous?”

Jangmo-o responded by slamming Tyrunt into a nearby trashcan with Dragon Tail.

“THAT’S IT!” Hugo shouted angrily. “WE’RE OUT OF HERE!”

Collecting:

1x Zongzi (feeding it to Tyrunt who learned MT Draco Meteor)
1x Net Ball
1x Odd Incense
1x Hangbao with $500

Thanks!

They glided along the river, making sure not to get too close to the boats. The last thing they needed was everyone looking at them because they'd managed to set a few boats alight. I mean people there were plenty of people looking at them already, it wasn't everyday you saw a Mega Charizard X flying around. Xander had heard about the festival and decided to make a short detour for it. It was a chance to relax with his Pokemon and see something new. There were plenty of other trainers starting to show up, most showing off their Dragon type Pokemon. Xander only had the one, but his grandfather had a handful of powerful Dragon Pokemon. While he and Charizard slowly glided up and down the river, a few of his Pokemon raced among the growing crowd.

The trio moved swiftly, slipping between legs and doing their best not to trip anyone up. Treecko leapt into the air, artfully dodging a small child as he somersaults midair before landing and breaking back into a sprint. Froakie, finding himself a bit boxed in, springs up onto the shoulders of a random person before leaping from shoulder to shoulder, heading for a more spacious area. Chimchar on the other hand chose to shoulder his way through, squeezing and shoving his way though the forest of legs. They regroup once they reach a clearing in the crowd and drop their haul on the ground. Froakie reached into his frubbles and pulls out a Net Ball. Chimchar grins as he drops he waves a red envelop around, opening it up he finds $500 inside, Xander would be pleased! Treecko plopped a small metal container of Luck Incense on the ground. They always seemed to be short on luck after all. He then placed a small treat wrapped in seaweed on the ground. All three looked at each other, all eager to consume the treat. Xander wouldn't want it, it'd been on the ground after all. There was only one way to solve this.

"Chimchar!"
"Froakie!"
"Treecko!"

Two rocks and a paper! Froakie's webbed fingers were spread out, as was the smile on his face. He grabbed the Zongzi and quickly unwrapped it, consuming the rice with a few small bites. With that sorted, it was probably best for them to head back. Xander would be waiting to see what they had found!

Collecting:
1x Net Ball
1x Luck Incense
$500
1x Zongzi (feeding to Froakie, teaching him Toxic Spikes

Thanks Alice!

Olivia had decided to discard her brown robes. She was getting used to living in the present, and she needed to do her best to blend in with the rest of the people that stormed the streets of this era. A woman at the festival had convinced her to buy some sort of garb that she was unfamiliar with... but she saw plenty of people around the festival wearing something similar. It made her stick out far less than her hooded robe, so she decided to buy it and put it on.

She was familiar with New Fizz City. She could remember busting through the time rift and flying over the crowded city on the evening she escaped. Yet that felt like another lifetime at this point... something that lingered in her mind but was almost intangible at this point. She glanced in the direction of the rift, only to see it covered by a banner of a Dratini.

Probably for the best. She mused to herself, knowing how bad it would be if a child or Pokemon stumbled into it. Actually, she herself had grown fond of dragon Pokemon since her departure from Greca. Her mother had always appreciated the creatures, but she often found herself afraid of their frighteningly large proportions. But now, she found herself craving the raw strength that the creatures emitted. As it was something she herself needed to approach her new life with elegance and grace.

She turned to her horde of dragons that hopped behind the young woman. Despite their small size (practically infants), she could see the concerned glances that the festival goers were tossing her way. Her Jangmo-o, Gible, Charmander, and Axew hopped behind her excitedly --- looking at the various attractions that the festival held. Alke, who had practically become the big sister of the group, lead the way. The orange lizard's flame tail swung back and forth as she pointed various banners and decorations with the faces of herself and her friends on them. Asteria clung to Olivia's ponytail, her small hands clutching the large red bow that rested in Olivia's hair. The bat Pokemon narrowed her eyes, hungrily awaiting the chance to get any sort of food into her stomach. Finally, she spotted a table of dumplings. Her small mouth opened, leaping from Olivia's ponytail and gliding to the table --- clamping her tiny mouth around the dumpling.

"Asteria!" Olivia called, knowing full well that the creature had just taken off. Olivia rushed in the direction of the small bat. Her other Pokemon immediately saw the opportunity, scouting out the various events that they could see.

Bia and Kydoimos ran off together, hunting a strange smell that seemed to lure them in. They found a strange oval shaped device emitting a smell. It had the kanji for "luck" placed upon it. Bia glanced around before swiping it, running off with Kydoimos as fast as their small legs could carry them.

Meanwhile, Typhon noticed a small spherical ball rolling around on the ground. He chased it for a few meters, tracing it's path amongst the feet of the crowd. Once he finally caught up with it, he held a discarded Net Ball in his tiny blue hands. He glanced around, trying to figure out if someone had lost it. Upon deciding it was his now, he bit it, working it around in his strong jaws.

Alke, realizing that her friends were probably getting into trouble, rushed after them --- trying to round them all up. Olivia joined in, the chubby purple bat in her hands from all the rice dumplings she had shoved in her mouth. She rushed around, gripping the Pokemon by the scruffs of their neck. Once her Pokemon were returned to her, she was given a red envelope by a young girl.

"A thank you for taming the dragons!" The girl piped up, rushing back into the crowd. Olivia smiled, clutching the envelope and ushering her dragons back home.

---

Thanks for the event Alice! I love getting all my dragons together.

Asteria ate the Zongzi! Asteria learned MT Heat Wave!
Olivia obtained a Net Ball!
Olivia obtained a Luck Incense!
Olivia obtained $500!

Honestly, Alice had wasted last year's Dragon Boat Festival, and she was determined not to do the same this year. With help from her Pokemon, who could cure almost any funk, she'd gone outside into the sunlight to immerse herself in the festivities. The crowds didn't really bother her, and it was worth enduring them to get some snaps of the boats and the decorations hung here and there. What Alice had her mind on most, of course, was food - what a surprise.

"We have to try the zongzi." Alice said firmly, the wooden base of her sandals catching the concrete and stone pavements she traversed along. She was dressed in her typical, colourful pink, with a long pleated skirt that protected her pasty legs from the heat and a light, short sleeved top, partially shaded by her sun hat. In her delicate hands was a little Trapinch, one that hadn't ever observed a Dragon Boat Festival before, but seemed to take delight in every Bagon-related or Flygon-like decoration or vessel that caught her eyes.

They took part in various activities together, from small challenges like balancing an egg to racing small, colourful boats or hooping dragons rather than ducks at little stalls. Most of it was just browsing and shopping, though. They struck lucky, winning a Net Ball and drawing a lot that snagged them a Lax Incense. One fan even approached and gave them a hongbao, which Alice felt very grateful for.

"Apparently we can store zongzi for weeks if we freeze them, so let's get a bunch to make sure everyone can try some." Alice suggested to Fiona, and the orange snapper chittered enthusiastically. The look on the stall owner's face as Alice handed over the money for the insane amount of the sweet treat was a picture all its own, and for the purchase she was even given a free one. Nice!

"Should we go and try them out?" Alice asked. Fiona nodded again, and off the two went, going to snag a spot at the water front. It made the idol grimace at how sticky they were, but she added sugar to their treats and began to tuck in with her chopsticks to avoid getting her fingers any nastier. Fiona seemed happy to just go in, jaws first, devouring the seaweed packet and all. Fiona learned Giga Drain! Alice didn't learn anything, aside from how sticky the sweet rice dumplings were.

"Did you like it?" Alice asked, "Although I don't think you're supposed to eat the entire thing..."
"Trapinch!" Fiona beamed.
"Then you might as well polish mine off, too." Alice pushed the packet and what little remained inside towards the baby. "Enjoy."
"Trap, Trapinch!"

And so, with some more wandering and some boat-riding, Alice and her Pokemon had a wonderful Dragon Boat Festival.

Vibrant and colourful, the festival was truly a sight to behold, as Liawe arrived. Water wasn't quite her strongest suit, so she delayed heading straight for the boats in favour of exploring the sides, glad she had left most of the squad in the capable care of Caeda. It was nice when she wasn't having to babysit her squad around the festival, she could actually enjoy it. All she had with her was Tantei napping away in her backpack, although with all the food smells he'd surely be awakening soon. She was also carrying her little Larvesta, who was content to watch the world for now, but no troublemakers. Nothing could go wrong, could it?

Meandering through the stalls, Liawe was soon greeted by a veritable bombardment of sights and sounds, and soon some gifts followed. First, a small red envelope containing some cash, which she quickly pocketed, and then a Net Ball, which she gratefully accepted. They always did look kind of cool, although Liawe wasn't quite sure when she'd have need of it. Sooner or later, most likely. As she stowed it in her bag, she then wandered back out to the waterside, where she sat and watched the boats float by. It was at this point that her Pokemon hopped out of the bag and sat with her, before Tantei scampered off in search of dinner. Picking the little Fairy up, Liawe laughed as she wandered to one of the various snack places, before settling down with a zongzi that she likely butchered the pronunciation of. Tantei seemed to like it at least, although Liawe found it a little too sweet for her tastes and ended up leaving it, only for something to smash into what remained at significant velocity, The Crimson Fandango earning his name in a mad dash to secure dinner. The little bug seemed chuffed with his efforts, as he nommed what was left of Liawe's dinner, while Tantei finished his own. The little firebrand wasn't quite finished though. Even as Liawe made to leave the festival, he still managed to secure one last treat for him and his Trainer: An Odd Incense that had intrigued him upon their arrival that was being distributed, and now courtesy of a sly String Shot, was stashed inside the bag along with them as Liawe returned to camp. Talk about an unwelcome surprise...

[Claiming my Ł500, Net Ball, Odd Incense and Zongzi, which was fed to Tantei the Dedenne to teach him MT Signal Beam.]

Not sure I'll have time to write an RP, so collecting 1 Net Ball, 1 Luck Incense, $500, and 1 Zongzi, which goes to my Trapinch, Desertsong, to teach her MT Superpower.

Thanks!

Truly, the most inspiring of nations.

Anyway, I'll go ahead and snag these before the thread gets chucked headfirst into the Records subforum. Feel free to deny this post if I'm too late or something.

*Dunsparce learned EM Secret Power thanks to the Zongzi!*

*Obtained 1X Net Ball!*

*Obtained 1X Odd Incense!*

*Obtained $500! (Thanks be to the poets of yore)*
