The natural sounds of the rainforest can be heard briefly over the warring going on within its otherwise peaceful groves as a slight lull in the battle below occurs as orders are given, the mist surrounding them having mostly dissipated. With nods indicating their understanding, the match resumes with vigor as the grasses move into motion. The two move nearly simultaneously, SimbelmynŽ channeling energy into the earth beneath her that has been satiating her need for nigh eternal life for so long, taking control of the rocks deep beneath. Triffid meanwhile is taking the time to confide a rather embarrassing, elaborate fabrication to Locria, who feels his special prowess decrease for otherworldly reasons but his cold hatred burning within cannot easily be quelled at this point in the beating around the bush that this match has turned into. The words of the secret still fresh in his nonexistent ears, the Metagross continues to bide his time when suddenly the stones that the Cradily has appropriated erupt from the ground around him, entombing his large body in what becomes his own personal cave. While all these events have been taking place, Starman was struggling with his own personal demons, and for a brief moment clarity returns to his mind and taking advantage of this windfall, the Aegislash prepares yet another flashing cannonball, and this time there is no barrier to impede its progress towards its intended target, and with an eerie metallic screech Starman sends it soaring. SimbelmynŽ's attention is grabbed by the shiny object approaching, which then proceeds to slam into her side, causing her to bend and groan as her strong center of mass prevents any movement besides. The Cradily shakes her overlarge head of the pain as she begins to add more energy to her stockpile, cutting off the decrease that was about to start occurring and bringing the available pool close to its cap. Locria has been having a slight crisis of conscious in his cavern, but quickly overcomes it with the thoughts of annoying entanglement among other travesties that have transpired. His four feet begin to glow brightly as energy pours into them, and slowly the monolith begins his attempts at spinning. Building centrifugal force as he struggles against his bonds, he burns through a bit of power to finally free himself from his vines, roots, and other assorted flora, allowing him to truly continue with his technique. Now a blur as his body twirls like a gyro, he brings his legs in and goes into a more ball-like form and smashes through his prison, sending the rocks flying as he grinds himself into the nearby SimbelmynŽ, causing yet another low moan of agony to escape the creature's mouth. Luckily for her, his attention has switched over to the retreating Ludicolo, who he begins to chase down. Starman has slipped back into his catatonic state, continuing to gaze into the void at things only he can see. Seeing the Metagross' approach, Triffid begins to panic slightly but doesn't have enough time for what the behemoth has planned. Skittering forward like some Asimovian horror, Locria leaps with a roar and slams the Ludicolo's much smaller body into the turf beneath them. Triffid can barely breathe under the tonnage of metal, and paralysis has almost completely overtaken her as the Metagross gives a grating chuckle, full entirely of malice. It's cut short however as the shiny burn on his metallic hide continues to ail him, and SimbelmynŽ continues to reap the rewards of her ingrained roots and the seed on Starman.

The two Grass types are both at the borders of their respective health markers, Triffid almost out of the first third while SimbelmynŽ is almost into the final. Both are good for two, though Triffid may have difficulty taking advantage of the fact. Locria and Starman went basically untouched aside from the Metagross' burn, but they continue to plod lower in energy. Both remain good for two, but Locria may face a little bit of exhaustion from the labor intensive round. Nothing too insurmountable though. MtG to order.

"Starman, switch out. Sectumsempra is back in.

While Starman switches out, Locria, make Cradily taste a Flash Cannon.

Sectumsempra, Taunt Cradily.

Locria, end Cradily with Gyro Ball.

Sectumsempra, go for Toxic Spikes if you have the chance."

Hoo boy.

So, after a bit of waiting (sorry), we resume our positions, with Locria squatting upon the struggling Triffid, and Starman and SimbelmynŽ just kinda doing their own thing. The younger trainer makes the call that the Aegislash may not be the most advantageous to have out on the field, and attempts to recall him to his capsule home. However, the Cradily is not interested in letting her prey so easily, slamming her vines down to block the red beam approaching the ghost, which successfully keeps Starman in play thanks to her proximity to the sword and shield. Still dazed and without orders, Starman just remains inert where he was as the focus turns to the Metagross. So now we come to the more controversial portion of the reffing due to me being a semantics nazi, but hey, at least I'm a consistent semantics nazi, and as Starman has not switched out, I do not believe that Locria would Flash Cannon as per his orders. Bite me. As such, Locria proceeds to their next order and begins to attempt to spin, but Triffid overcomes her paralysis briefly enough to give a smack to the underside of the Metagross, causing him to be faked out by the blow as SimbelmynŽ establishes a mental connection with the large metal supercomputer, splitting her pain with Locria until the trade-off is severed a little early as their health meets. Triffid attempts to seed the Metagross as well, but paralysis constricts her and leaves her unable to follow through, still beneath the overlarge creature. And then the series of health and energy pouring back to the Grasses that I've run out of synonyms for happens again, leaving them better off again.

Triffid sits near where she was and is good for two, SimbelmynŽ is back above the midpoint of health and while good for two wouldn't mind a change in pace. Starman was completely untouched and did nothing, and Locria is good for two but has dropped beneath the midpoint. Sneaze to order.

I am so sorry for just attacking one of them, but I just need this Cradily to die. ;;

"Locria, send a Flash Cannon to Cradily.

Starman, keep Cradily between yourself and Locria as you use Sacred Sword. Try to stop that Synthesis if you can.

Locria, Body Slam Ludicolo again.

Starman, finish Cradily with a Fury Cutter."

Following the rather uneventful round prior to it, this one promises to be a bit more...well, promising, as all combatants in play are given orders. The heat and humid nature of the Wildwood continue to affect those involved, especially so in SimbelmynŽ's case as she looks skyward towards the sunlight trickling through the canopy. Utilizing the intense heat and sunlight, the Cradily begins to go through rapid photosynthesis, recovering a large chunk of its vitality in a matter of a few seconds, leaving her opponents bewildered at the vastly better-off state they find the prehistoric lily monster in. Deciding to finish her off once and for all, the two metallic creatures begin to unleash their onslaught on the dinosaur, with Locria sending yet another flashing cannonball of steel straight for the planted beast. At the same time, Starman attempts to break out of his vine shackles holding him to the ground, and with a bit of concerted effort he manages to do so as he charges forward, his sword portion enshrouded with a sacred light. The spheroid hits the Cradily knocking her one way, followed by the Aegislash striking from the other, though his swipe is a bit dampened by the time it took him to break free of his bonds as well as the last vestiges of confusion throwing off his aim a little. But now we move over to Triffid, still beneath the vast form of the Metagross who squashed her into oblivion, and she attempts to gather boiling water in her system, but the still present paralysis halts any inkling of that coming to fruition. Moving quickly to her next attempt, she manages to focus through the paralytic entrapment as she waggles a hand forward and back in a metronome-like motion and consistency. Above her, Locria plans to slam back down onto the Ludicolo and crush her beneath his enormous body, but Triffid has called upon move #523. For those of you who don't have every move memorized by number, this is Bulldoze. With the energy traveling quickly from her body and into the ground, it surprises and interrupts the Metagross above as he roars in pain, stumbling slightly. SimbelmynŽ meanwhile could care less about that quarrel and focuses inwards once more, adding yet larger quantities of energy to the stockpile she's been creating, and finds that she has now reached the maximum amount she can store. Starman, a bit disappointed by his attack earlier embraces a bug-like fury and takes on the role of a hedge cutter as he slashes away with great vigor at the plant in front of him. The Cradily gives a groan as the speed of the attack only increases, and though the Aegislash flails more wildly as time goes by, SimbelmynŽ is rooted and unable to remove herself from harm's way. Finishing with ethereal panting, Starman is proud of his work, though the Cradily still stands and recovers health and energy from her surroundings and roots. Triffid does similarly, leaving the other two to only watch on, though Locria winces again from the burn he sustained.

Healthwise, Starman again went untouched, Locria has dipped into the final third, Triffid is slightly higher, and SimbelmynŽ is also back into the final third, a bit lower than Locria. Triffid, Starman, and Locria remain good for two, though the Aegislash will face slight exhaustion from the Fury Cutter. SimbelmynŽ meanwhile would appreciate a break at this point, though could go for two if forced. In regards to energy as well, Locria is at the midpoint of it while Starman is beginning to near critical. Fighting for the sword is basically gone, while Bug is below half. MtG to order.

Seeing that once again this isn't the best situation for the sword and shield duo to be in, the challenging trainer once again attempts to recall his possessed weaponry. But with blinding speed, Triffid, freed from her physical constraints thanks to the Bulldoze but not her paralysis, sprints her way over and blocks the switch with her body, intercepting the beam of light incoming from the Pokeball. The Metagross, a bit miffed that his prey escaped, decides to takeout his anger upon the everlasting bottom-dweller, targeting SimbelmynŽ with a roar as he unleashes yet another flash cannon. The Cradily groans in agony as her life force nears rock bottom, but her yellow eyes flash malevolently as she begins to share her pain once more, this time using Starman to split the difference, draining his health in massive clumps. Attempting to retaliate and sever the connection, the Aegislash gathers steel energy to use for his own cannon, but the Ludicolo has other plans for him as she blocks him from using the attack as she anticipates his intentions and leaves him unable to complete the construct. The Cradily is left to sap his health in peace, although not gaining as much as she usually would, but her token glows brightly, indicating that she hasn't tuckered herself out as much either. With triumph glowing in her eyes, she preforms the technique once more, siphoning yet more of the ghost's health as he is left unable to do much about the situation. Locria, on the other hand, has been steadily approaching his ally and the recently escaped Ludicolo, and with a grinding of metal he leaps forward, slamming her beneath his immense body once again, leaving her trapped and re-paralyzed, but not quite as badly as before. And as the rain, sun, and roots all do their part, the two Grasses continue to prosper in their jungle abode while one of the invaders flinches involuntarily as his burn still ails him.

SimbelmynŽ has risen back out of her final third of health, and is tiring due to the intensive round, though her total energy hasn't fallen much. Starman's energy continues to be low, and he has been sucked down out of his first third of health. Triffid is also out of her first third, and is good for two. Locria continues to drop in health slightly, still within the final third, and while still good for two, his energy is not getting any higher. Sneaze to order.

*cracks knuckles*

The eternal plant raises up her neck stalk with a groan, exhaustion clear in her yellow eyes as they glow dimly from under her brow(?), but they flash an electric blue as she begins to craft a barrier in front of herself, attempting to shield herself from the onslaught to come. Seeing the arrival of such a protective screen, Locria senses that his orders have now been triggered, and begins to make movements off of his captive Ludicolo towards the Cradily. However, freeing Triffid appears to have been not the wisest choice, as with uncharacteristic fury, the pineapple duck monster slams a punch into one of the Metagross' legs, sending him staggering as the imbued fire takes its toll on his steel body. Nevertheless, he presses onward, raising on of his front legs and slamming it down on the pane with enough force to break through an entire pallet of bricks and then some, obliterating the glassy structure and coming down on SimbelmynŽ with even greater force. With her defenses down, the Cradily can only watch on as Starman prepares another flash cannon to fire at her, the metal grinding against her as she gives a plaintive cry, leaving her knocking on death's door. Despite her exhaustion SimbelmynŽ manages to retaliate, once again trying to split her pain with the Aegislash, but he is having none of it as he unleashes another flash cannon. SimbelmynŽ's eyes vanish into the surrounding blackness, her vines coming unlatched from the earth below as she topples to it with a massive thud, to finally rise no more.

SimbelmynŽ is unable to battle!

However, while this has been going on, Triffid continues on with her personal vendetta against the giant metallic supercomputer, screaming a blast of her hyper voice at the behemoth. She strikes him as he turns to face her and with the sound still ringing in his audio receptors, his legs give out and he crashes to the ground, a robotic sound of shutting down echoing throughout the forest as his consciousness fades. Triffid looks on triumphantly as she once again reaps the benefits of her surroundings, now wondering what lays in store for her.

Locria is unable to battle!

Triffid can go for two if needed, but wouldn't necessarily mind a break. Health is almost back to the first third thanks to regen. Fire for her is exhausted. Starman while good for two is into critical energy and won't last much longer. MtG, send out your next Pokemon, followed by Sneaze with his and orders, followed by orders from MtG.

So Miror, do you consider draining moves to count as damaging (for the purposes of Taunt)?

Sorry about the delay, missed that this had moved given Christmas and all.

The two trainers each make similar motions as they retrieve capsules from their various keeping-places. They obtain their respective spheroids and toss them forwards onto the battlefield to replace their fallen creatures. On the challenger's side appears Sectumsempra the Drapion once more, still in good condition but remaining in its dazed state from the teetering shuffle the still-present Ludicolo preformed earlier. On the leader's front appears the final form of the very first evolutionary line listed in the Pokedex, a Venusaur by the name of Yggdrasil, who gives a low bellow as he stomps the fresh soil beneath his four feet. His trainer tips his Mega Cap towards the creature, the hat's Key Stone glowing in resonance with the Venusaurite kept within the filament of the overlarge flower of the Venusaur. A grey sphere quickly envelops Yggdrasil, a pink glow emanating from within. The sphere is soon weakened as hairline cracks rush across its surface, before with a colossal burst of sound it shatters. The larger, more foliage-encumbered Venusaur stands before his two adversaries with Triffid by his side, now all awaiting instructions for the renewed battle soon to come.

While the spectacular evolution was in progress, the challenger made his wishes known to his two combatants, with one understanding perfectly what was to be done. The other, the Drapion, remained in her befuddled condition, and as she attempted to process the thought needed in order to goad Yggdrasil into only assaulting his foes, the Venusaur lets loose a fine powder in high quantities at the scorpion. Sectumsempra in her simpler mindset swiftly succumbs to the effects of the spore, and falls to the earth asleep. To their side a different war is being waged, as Triffid launches green tendrils out from her body towards the Aegislash, seeking to sap him of the last of his energy. Starman has other plans, throwing up a protective barrier to intercept the vines. However, as they strike, the energy used in blocking the attack is more than the sword and shield can bear and with a metallic thud, the ghost crashes to the ground. With one foe sleeping and the other unconscious, Triffid relaxes while Yggdrasil pumps energy into the grassy terrain, causing more flora to bloom somehow in this already lush jungle and begins to heal those on the battlefield, emboldening the two Grasses as the weather also restores them.

Starman is unable to battle! MtG, please send out your next Pokemon choice!

Yggdrasil is untouched and good for two, with Sectumsempra almost back to perfect condition health-wise. She is also good for two, but obviously incapacitated for the moment. Triffid has risen back into her first third of health once more, and is likewise good for two after the break of sorts.

I've always seen statuses as something retained when returned into a Pokeball, and that includes confusion. There's also never been anything notated in ASB that switching cures confusion, but it has been notated that Pokemon retain the same or similar mental state (such as exhaustion) when they are returned so I make the call based off of those. I can clarify with another LO to make sure I'm not wildly off base if you would like but that's my rationale.

Hm... I had got the impression that Pokemon slowly regain energy in the Pokeball and so have their exhaustion reset.

But upon checking, it is true that there has not been any ruling either way as far as I can see. I would appreciate if it could be clarified with another LO, though.

Mew the Gato is unable to battle! Sneaze is the victor!

Sneaze gains 2 KOs and 4 TP.
Mew the Gato gains 1 TP.
Miror gains 7 SP.

Good match, Sneaze pretty much dominated everything with Eternadily, have fun with whatever you use this slot for!
