Hydreigon UPN PASBL Elite Four Challenge: Sneaze vs. Mercutio

This is it, boys. We've finally set up an Elite Four system and I swear to God I will make sure it works. Without further adieu, here are your stats.

Quote:
3 vs 3
Singles
Strict 1 week DQ - No exceptions
Slapstick
Equilevel
Return = OK
Dragon Chamber
Spoiler: show
The home of the Elite Four member presiding over Dragon, this cuboid chamber is of sizeable dimension, easily large enough to accommodate the largest of Pokémon. The ceiling is rather high flying, and the numerous windows pitted along the length have been filled with large rocks jutting from the walls to allow climbing while blocking out the sun from outside, with the walls being torn up from claw marks, allowing more places for combatants to grip if they want to climb. The floor itself is made of metal, meaning rocks cannot be summoned from it and Ground moves will not readily transmit. The room is extremely hot to accommodate the inhabitants, and a moat of near scalding hot water circles the room, the water within proving uncomfortable to any that may enter it that are not used to the extreme heat.
We all know the drill, so let's throw your squads into a PM to me and we can get this thing underway.

Sneaze to post first after the hidden round.

The only sound which graces the chamber is the churning of the super heated waters winding through the center of the area. The incredible heat leaves a shimmer in the air, the clawed markings littering the edges of the reinforced chamber standing testament to the sheer ferocity and power of those who call this abode home. Finally, the uneasy tranquility is broken, two metal doors slowly rolling up to reveal corridors beyond. Smoke pours from beneath the heavy set shutters, more for dramatic effect than anything else, and as the wispy tendrils gradually fade away, two figures are revealed to be standing there. Both are grizzled veterans of the League, formality and pleasantries needless between those as practiced as them. Whipping their hands to their belts, they each conjure an expanding orb hiding their first champion, the identical spheres hurtling high into the air. A simple, mechnical click later and crimson light pours into the arena, revealing the first combatants to stand their ground.

Thanks to his inner warmth, Primordus no longer takes double supereffective damage from Ice attacks, now taking as much damage as he would if he were not part Flying. However, he now takes neutral damage from Water attacks.

Grant, lead off from a levitating start, ascend and advance upon them launching a slew of Pixie Daggers as you travel, then circle around to stay out of the Dragon's reach as you show off your Disarming Voice. Narrow gauge, keep it focused.

Grant: Für den Kampf bereit, um Frieden zu schaffen!

Grant, the male Clefable; Grant is a powerful Clefable, well versed in the art of combat. He was formerly of my Normal type Gym Squad and fought hard to destroy the Fighting type interlopers that challenged the Queen's Head Pub Golf Challenge. However, with the coming of Gen VI and the changes in my position, Grant decided to make a change. Going away for a time to reflect and revise, my faithful Pokémon returned to me having undergone a gender reassignment. Now referred to as Grant and considered to be male, Grant excels in controlling the opponent's movement and magically manoeuvring them in to the kill zone.
Hidden Power: Dark.
Signature Move: "Pixie Daggers" (Fairy); Grant summons an aura of Fairy energy and condenses it in to a series of jagged projectiles, which are then launched at the foe to deal major damage. The attack has a strong knockback like a Psychic wave, carries a 30% chance to cause the foe to flinch and is a physical projectile in the same manner as Stone Edge. It uses major energy.

The two titans stand to face one another, both monstrous in renown but only one in size. Grinning wide at this new foe set before him, Primordius makes a show of beating his wings intently, the power hiding beneath the scaly skin of the Dragonite trembling to be released. Grant hovers opposite, the Clefable refusing to be intimidated by the sight of the monster he intends to slay. Primordius is the first to move though, the Elder Dragon intent on seizing the initiative. Opening his mouth wide, he unleashes a crooning blast of sound, the reverberating tones hiding a mystifying power. As the sound washes over Grant, his expression becomes more uncertain, his body language portraying his confusion. He shakes his head, trying to rid himself of the irritating buzzing lingering in his hearing, but nothing can be achieved, leaving him at the mercies of his opponent.

Grunting with acknowledgement of the early advantage he had established for himself, Primordius spreads his wings wide as he continues to move, his passive drifting affording him an impressive range of movement. He then steels himself, his muscles tightening as he begins to spin rapidly in place. His motions see him climb ever higher, grazing the lofty ceiling of the arena, but his eyes remain intently on Grant, the Dragon well versed enough in combat to know that a cornered foe was oftentimes the most dangerous foe. This proves to be true, as Grant manages to fight through the awkwardness in his mind, his attack not requiring much in the way of concentration. Opening his mouth wide, he enchants his throat with shining pink energy, unleashing a demure cry which sends rings of sound climbing towards Primordius. With a grunt, the Dragonite shifts uneasily in the air, managing to avoid a fair portion of the attack, but the angry stare leveled at Grant indicates that he was not all that successful.

Grant has carved a very slight lead for himself, but he remains under the effects of confusion. Primordius on the other hand is sitting pretty, a healthy distance from his foe and a boost under his belt. Both raring to go.

Sneaze.

Ok Grant, kick his butt, following Twister let's overwhelm their stars with a slew of Pixie Daggers, deal some real damage to the scaly bugger.

Grant: But Kush, David Cameron isn't in range of my attack!?

Fine, hit Dragonite then. After, match their course and blow projectile Sweet Kiss.

Primordius grunts as he stares at his foe, the sight of the incapacitated Grant still enough to put the terrifying beast on edge. He moves with a disjointed momentum, his caution obvious in his path, but he has orders all the same. Spreading his deceptively powerful wings wide, he begins to beat the leathery limbs through the air, each determined stroke managing to further churn the surrounding turbulence. Quickly gathering, whipping winds swirl around one another, convalescing into a compact twister, and with a lash of his right wing, Primordius sends the construct roaring towards Grant. The Clefable is instantly sucked into the heart of the storm, battered relentlessly by the twisting gusts, and as the wind fades, he is left looking somewhat battered ... but much more lucid, a hissing remark dripping from his tongue. Shifting back through the air, Primordius envelops each of his wings in a shimmering cloak of gold, readying himself for the continuation of his assault ...

But his foe follows suit. Opening his arms wide, Grant hurriedly fashions shimmering daggers of vibrant pink energy, each of them thrumming with enchanted power. Primordius' eyes immediately widen, the Dragonite's body instinctively screaming to dodge, but his attack is already partially fulfilled. Lashing his wings through the air, he sends a compact barrage of shimmering stars down towards Grant, but the Clefable simply grins with a misplaced malicious edge. Bringing his own arms thrusting forwards, he sends his slew of daggers cleaving towards Primordius, their physical strength managing to swat aside a good deal of the incoming stars. The daggers continue onward, slamming into the body of Primordius, though the reactions of the beast allow him to avoid a mere few. Roaring with pain, Primordius is left the hunted as Grant chases him down, the awkward movements of the Clefable enough to get him within striking distance. Puckering up, he fires a few projectiles of blinking pink energy towards his foe, and while Primordius manages to evade a few, he cannot help his eyes misting over somewhat.

Primordius is somewhat confused, though his partial left his wits slightly about him. He took the worst of the damage this round, about to enter his second third. Grant looks a fair bit better off, and both are good for two.

"Roar at it. If you startle it out of it's Misty Terrain, head into the water, popping off a Hidden Power just before entering. Otherwise just try to back up towards the ceiling."

The two combatants each stare one another down, one blinking through misty eyes, the confusion still hanging within the mind of Primordius. The Dragonite watches on as Grant begins to descend towards the ground, and he grunts, desperately wrestling for control of his mind. As he does, he allows a primal roar to gather within his throat ... but the resulting sound is little more than a confused choking, the Dragonite unable to properly channel his focus. Grant simply chuckles at this result, landing on the ground and opening his arms wide to channel a streaming blast of energy. As soon as the energies embed within the ground, a faint, misty gas begins to rise upwards, blessing those in contact with the ground with a mystical resistance against debilitating status. Grant smiles with this success, but the rest of the round is uneventful, with Primordius simply rising higher towards the ceiling, and Grant remaining on guard for any assault.

Both sides had decent breathers, and neither took damage. Primordius is more or less clear minded now.

Not quite hit the week mark yet (few hours to go), but fair warning that I am willing to DQ you in cold blood. I can understand when things are busy but we should at least make an attempt for this to be taken seriously.

Connor, learn to follow the new rules and bump via polite VM or I will seek a new ref for this. This is a very important match and I'm not about to have it sullied by poor conduct, I don't care if you are a fast ref.

"Toss out a Waterfall at your foe, but don't ride it. Instead head back into the air as it's busy dealing with that and loose a mid charge Hyper Beam."

Sneezey, and please believe me when I tell you that I say this with as much self-awareness pf my own shortcomings and mistakes as is possible on the internet, of the three people involved in this battle, it is you who brings the ASB into disrepute with your poor conduct, both in this thread and in the wider community.

It's not Connor. It's not me.

It's you.

Get off your high horse. Do the job you signed up for. Or quit.

Grant, let's Bounce over their Waterfall, then laugh off their Hyper Beam and give them an Ice Beam in return.

Primordius hangs in the air, the ancient beast glaring at his foe with a solemn look. His wings beat the air gingerly, and without warning, he stops this motion, dropping from the air like a rock. As he comes near the waters, he extends his wings once again, managing to level out over the waters. With a flick of his arm, he exerts an incredible force. His slashing motion manages to gouge a large portion of the heated waters from their river, a raging torrent surging towards Grant. The Clefable blinks with surprise before grinning, crouching low and launching himself into the air with a swift climb. His levitation supplements this, and he manages to rise out of the reach of the vast majority of the incoming deluge, catching himself in the air and hanging there, his mocking grin disgruntling Primordius.

With both combatants airborne, Primordius once again begins to scale the climb back towards the ceiling, the mighty dragon opening his mouth wide. A droning cry rises within his throat as burning orange energy clumps together to form a spiraling sphere between his jaws, the Dragonite craning his neck to direct the energy towards his foe. With an almighty burst, the pent up power lances into the chest of Grant, knocking him a few feet back through the air, but he catches himself with a demure cry. Lifting one arm into the air, his grin widens as he channels cyan energies down his arm, the tendrils wrapping round one another to form a compact orb. With a click, the orb bursts, a jagged triad of beams racing through the air to smash into the body of Primordius, the Dragonite unleashing a primal roar of agony as his bones are chilled to their core.

Primordius fell notably behind now, into his second third by a way while Grant is only about to enter his. Grant at half Ice, Primordius using a fraction over half his Water. Both good for two.

Having managed to take hold of the momentum in the match by the scruff of the neck, Grant wears a wide grin as he slowly brings himself back towards the ground. He holds his arms apart as he descends, his entire body beginning to shine with a lustrous pink hue, but Pimordius can feel what is to come - and wants nothing to do with it. With a commanding below, the Dragonite summons arcane forces to his aid, melding energy together to fashion something of a shield before him. The barrier seems feeble, but the gentle thrum of power hints that looks may well be deceptive. With a cry, Grant launches his attack, an aura of energy rushing forwards from his body ... but to his disdain, Primordius is left the victor in this exchange. The Dragonite grunts with amusement as the incoming energy is rendered inert by the barrier before him, though the cracks which immediately spider across the surface give some cause for concern.

The two stalwarts glare at one another - Grant situated on the ground, Primordius continuing to hang in the air, determined to at least call the sky his domain. Each is waiting for the other to move, the tension becoming palpable, and Grant is the first to break the stalemate. Bringing his hands together, he mumbles as he hurriedly fashions a whining sphere of energy, the dark pink hue telling of the sheer power being forced into the orb. The shrill cry emanating from the construct comes to an abrupt crescendo as Grant levels it at Primordius, and the eyes of the Dragonite go wide as a searing beam is hurled through the air. The pink lance crashes into the barrier before the Dragonite, and for a moment it seems as though it will hold, but then it smashes entirely. The remainder of the power behind the beam - admittedly quite little - smacks into the chest of the ancient beast, and he grunts his dissatisfaction. Wasting no time in claiming his revenge, Primordius roars into the air, his eyes flashing with a brief colour of silvered steel. Orbs flicker into existence around him, and try as he might, Grant finds evading too much. The Clefable is forced to cry out in pain as the orbs lance against his body, leaving the gap he had created near gone.

Primordius did a lot to close the health gap between the two this round, with both moving through their second thirds. Both remain more or less good for two. Primordius has roughly a Hidden Power of Steel left, with a little less than a Light Screen of Psychic.

Light Screen - wall form - then Ice Beam following Round. Move to follow and fire as you go.

Is Misty Terrain still in effect? Boosting my moves or whatever it is that move does?

The pair looking much more battered than they did at the beginning of the exchange, Grant and Primordius glare at one another, each Pokemon confident in their own abilities. Primordius issues another of his languishing roars, an edge of the fury being dulled within the sound, and spreads his wings wide. His breathing punctuates every powerful beat of his small wings, and a tumultuous wind begins to gather. Blinking with realisation, Grant quickly thrusts his arms apart, spreading a fine pink light between the tips of each pointed finger. With a cry, he forces a glistening shield to come into existence, and grins behind his protection. Primordius simply chuckles. With a final beat of his wings, he sends forth a wailing turbulence, hardened pockets within the gusting force easily shredding apart the screen Grant had created for himself. The Clefable is allowed a moment of sickening realisation before the incoming projectiles rail into his body, sending him staggering backwards.

Having already failed in one of his endeavours this round, Grant determines that his next strike will land, and he waits with a patient mind. His expression is the epitome of concentration, and Primordius for a moment feels a pang of fear. This was an opponent that could clearly match him, and Grant had something dangerous up his sleeve. His orders were absolute though, and the bestial force opens his mouth wide, slowly filling his lungs to their capacity as he moves backwards. With a cacophonous explosion of sound, trembling rings of energy gingerly creep forth, but Grant weathers the storm, for his opportunity had arisen. His arm is pulled in front of him, the Clefable having been waiting for this exact moment. With a cry, he rushes forwards to follow the moves of his and, and with a triumphant shout, he launches a jagged triad of beams into the air. The chilling tendrils rush forth towards Primordius, the Dragonite trying to evade desperately, but to no avail. With a shriek, he is stricken by the encroaching cold, his chest taking the brunt of the levied attack.

Primordius has tumbled into his final third this round, while Grant sits just above entering his own. Both Pokemon are beginning to flag somewhat now, but can eke out two if needs be. Grant is out of Ice energy, while his Psychic dipped below half.

Realise I forgot to officiate this. Going to make a judgement call on the KO awarded, because honestly Grant was literal minors away from being at the point of qualifying for a forfeit KO.

Sneaze is the winner by forfeit!

Sneaze gains 1 KO and 2 TP.
Mercutio gains 1 TP.
Connor gains 2.5 SP.
