During a conventional switch in a doubles match, are both of the switcher's pokemon delayed to attack or only the one switching in?

With regards to Double Team, can moves which are normally not suited to striking multiple targets do so? So, for example, would a Flare Blitz be able to be used to tackle through numerous clones, or a Hydro Pump be used to blast through multiple by using it as a strafing beam?

I understand the rationale for them being able to do so but I also feel this really devalues Double Team as a move in general.

Unless the orders for the unswitched 'mon are contingent upon the switch, they wouldn't suffer a delay.

So there is a little bit of precedence for this, but it's rather old and has generally been seen as you do as devaluing Double Team entirely. I would generally say that doing this is probably not going to be totally successful and have the following effects/reasons:
  1. The Pokémon being attacked is going to realize what's happening and make an effort to move out of the way before their clones are all destroyed.
  2. The Pokémon is going to shift away meaningfully from the attack, only getting hit by a partial at best.
  3. The attacker, too focused on its movement, isn't going to be able to react fast enough to adjust its fire or body.
  4. The attacker will, at most, hit one extra clone.

So... long story short, this shouldn't actually work.

Okay so the real pokemon attacking instead of the sub is silly, and it was fine the way it was before.

Connor hid behind a sub, used Heavy Slam to pin the opponent. Since it is the real one attacking, we just ignore the sub or is the opponent suppose to interpret an invisible gravity force on top of him and pretend that the fluffy sub to the side is still the one pulling the strings?

In a question that is in no way related to any current match, can Present be used to heal the user?

If the Pokémon in question is Delibird then yes. Otherwise you can order them to chuck it in the air and pray lol.

How dare you insinuate that I am asking for the purposes of Delibird abuse.

I am shocked and appalled.

Mixed answers.

Chilling status. Does it have diminishing returns?

I'd say all statuses are going to have diminishing returns on some level - it's just that there are only specific situations where you're going to re-inflict Burn and Poison meaningfully. Pokémon who are repeatedly chilled are eventually going to be able to fight through it and overcome the effects more easily.

The glossary and definitions state that boosts on average take about 3 rounds to drop 1 stage. Does that drop start during the round it was used or after.

Also, during the (I'll just call it drop phases) does the stat drop evenly. For example, to begin with, it's a 10% boost ~> 6.66% boost ~> to 3.33% boost ~> Stage drop.

It more or less depends on how early in the round it was used. If it was used at the beginning, I'd say yes, but if it was the last action of the round, I'd say no.

And yeah, it's probably roughly like that but I'd say ref's discretion might play a part.

This is probably a better question for Ref Q&A so I'm going to say that this is an opinion and not a ruling.

The mew thread is closed.

Better talk about how Refresh should totally have usage limits in this thread then.

The Mewtwo thread was opened a few hours ago.

Really, Zelphon, can take some time to go read things?

Do you get an additional squad slot every 50 TP? (200, 250, etc.)
Or is the last slot you get that way 150?

Oh woops.

If I sell a shitton of TP, do I lose however many slots I had earned as appropriate?

This is how it *should* work but we don't take away GL slots so.

If I'm remembering correctly, you do not lose the slots but you do not gain another slot when you re-reach the TP amount(s).

It's vague but I'd call it a Curse.

So I passed my Ref App over a year ago and got sent a Ref Test over a year ago that I never finished.
Do I need to redo a Ref App or apply for Ref Test?

You can reapply or just ask Connor for a ref test.

That is a possibility!

When I went on hiatus a new trend popped up.

Fresh pokemon should at most fall drowsy if most things are equal. The thing that could affect the outcome that I have seen is enthusiasm vs a normal hypnosis, but that is about it.

Myth or Fact?
