Sucker Punch it out of the attack then disengage and give it a double dose of Shadow Ball

Shimmer begins to gather his little flame to himself once more as he prepares his next fire attack, but Malorn quickly rears up on his hind hooves and gives a low call as his antlers glow dark. The Litwick, distracted by this display, finds himself soon run down and tossed up on the horns of the Stantler in a sucker punch-like tactic, sending Shimmer through the air and coming down lightly onto the grass. Interrupted from his attack and in pain, Shimmer has little choice but to watch as Malorn begins to gather shadowy energy into a sphere in front of him, and with a stomp it begins to fly towards the small candle. The ball bursts upon impact, and Shimmer lets out an ethereal cry. But the Stantler is not done, as he pours the rest of his Ghost energy into a repeat of his previous attack, albeit the spheroid coming up smaller than its predecessor, and it washes over the Litwick once more, leaving the waxy ghost in quite a lot of pain.

Shimmer has been nuked down into his final third of health but is now good for two. Malorn will face immediate exhaustion and wouldn't mind a break, with Dark having a bit less than half and Ghost being kaput. Zelphy to order.

Malorn's labored breathing becomes evident as Shimmer begins to move into action before he gets a chance to, actually getting in his burst of flame this time and the spurts of fire fling off in all directions as they splash against the Stantler. He gives a moan in pain, but he retaliates as his eyes turn blue and then white as he alters his extrasensory powers which usually call upon his psychic stores to instead work off of his native type. The beam that shoots out still appears golden, sending the Litwick tumbling once more, but left with mental clarity. With his flame growing immense on his head, Shimmer directs the inbound inferno towards Malorn, the huge column of fire rolling slowly forward as the Stantler does his best to get out of its path. He manages to do so somewhat, the intense heat of the flames still causing most of the damage as well a burning along that side of Malorn's body, and it is now the Litwick who is left panting as the round ends.

Shimmer is approaching critical health and will face a bit of immediate exhaustion next round, though he should be good for two once it passes. Malorn has dropped into his final third, and is good for two. Dirkac to order.

The Litwick attempts to stoke up his ethereal bonfire one more time before he goes down, but his fresher opponent gets the jump on him. Malorn stomps the ground with finality, transferring enough ground energy into the soil beneath him to begin a localized earthquake, and the waves transfer through the soft earth and into Shimmer, whose flame is blown out as he falls to the grass facefirst. The Stantler lets out a low, victorious call, but is cut off short as his burn troubles him.

Shimmer is unable to battle! Dirkac, please send out your final Pokemon choice!

Malorn only took burn damage this round, but is slowly working his way towards critical health. He should be good for two, though energy is getting a bit low as well. Ground has some left.

The final burst of red light from one side of this field glows in the night air as Levi the Metang appears in the air, arms gyrating as he floats in place. Malorn snorts his derision once more as the hunk of steel approaches with his head glowing. Well prepared for the incoming assault, the Stantler erects another screen which reflects the moonlight as Levi delivers his zen headbutt right into the pane of glass-looking material. As cracks spread over its surface, the Metang blinks as it approaches once more, this time his head glowing with more of an iron sheen, but is distracted by the Stantler rearing up on his hind legs once again. Gathering the last of his Dark energy, Malorn charges forward and delivers a sucker punch-like battering, though it has quite a bit less power behind it than before. The blow still deals a decent amount of damage though and stops the incoming Metang's attack, leaving Levi angrily clanking to himself as Malorn winces from his burn.

Levi is still sitting pretty high on health and energy, and is good for two. Malorn remains good for two but energy is almost to critical, health being untouched outside of burn damage. Dark energy is gone. Zelphy to order.

In an instant, Malorn is removed from the field of battle for a good rest and his replacement steps out of the shadows, being Murdoc the Banette, who gives a leering grin before a large grey sphere surrounds him. In a burst of pink energy, the spheroid cracks and shatter, revealing Murdoc's Mega form, zippers undone with large pinkish-purple appendages revealed. Cackling wildly, the Banette begins to gather a small flame between his hands. Levi has no interest in getting roasted alive, and so he moves quickly in a circle, leaving three afterimages as he more than double teams his opponent. Murdoc, left with four targets to choose from, launches his will-o-the-wisp at one of the images before him, but it passes through it harmlessly and it vanishes without a trace. Frustrated, he approaches with dark shadows hiding his claws from view, and the Metang tries desperately to use the same technique himself, but then realizes that he doesn't actually learn it. The Banette makes a selection again, this time finding his mark as his semi-solid fingers rake against the cold steel of the Metang, leaving it recoiling in pain as the ghoul shrieks in delight, the other clones dissipating instantly.

Levi took a painful hit but remains good for two. Murdoc went untouched and is also good for two, with Fire energy still having plenty. Dirkac to order.

Coming off of the embarrassment of last round, Levi shifts his arms behind him as he moves forward, glowing once again with his zen-induced energy all over his cranium. Dropping low for the headbutt, the Metang charges and strikes...the still standing reflective screen. Even more cracks jump across its surface and the screen falls to the ground in pieces, but it served its purpose. Giving another wicked grin, Murdoc takes advantage of the closeness of his foe to rake across him once more with shadowy claws, but is unable to do the fancy Ataro-style flips because that much movement for said attack would constitute a three mover and this team ain't got any more of those. Angered, Levi once again brings himself into his zen state to both temper his emotions as well as smack around the Banette before him, but as he comes down for another headbutt, Murdoc goes a very un-chivalrous route and not only blocks the attack but in an act of foul play reverses the blow back onto the Metang, leaving Levi ticked and in a lot of pain.

Murdoc took only slight amounts of damage this round, and remains good for two although he can't keep this pace up for long. Dark for him is at about half. Levi also is good for two, but is already below the midpoint of health. Zelphy to order.

Will-O-Wisp, spread the flames out if it uses Double Team, follow up with a Shadow Claw, making sure to hit any burns if they show up.

Murdoc gives another leering grin as he conjures up another small will-o-the-wisp and launches it towards the floating Metang, but unbeknownst to the Banette, Levi in the meantime has crafted himself a substitute to take the blow for him. The little flame rushes in and strikes, and the body double vanishes from existence as the real Metang is revealed not too far away. Turning to face the chuckling cyborg, Murdoc rushes in with shadowy claws oozing darkness as he slashes across the smug Metang's body once more, leaving Levi near the end of his rope as he in turn begins to glow with steely energy, and swinging both arms downwards mashes the Banette with the same for as a meteor. Murdoc screeches his displeasure, and with a wicked glare prepares for his foe's demise, but Levi grins as some of the energy from his attack lingers with him.

Both Pokemon are tiring and would appreciate breaks. Murdoc still is sitting pretty high on health, while Levi is well into his final third. Fire for Murdoc has probably one more wisp left. Dirkac to order.

Both Pokemon panting in the moonlit clearing, they move relatively sluggishly but simultaneously as they prepare their attacks. The Metang's cranium begins to shine once more as the Banette gathers the darkest of energies into a wispy sphere in front of him. Levi dives down to deliver the painful headbutt, as Murdoc fires the orb up into his incoming body. The spheroid bursts on impact, the black tendrils passing over his body and then fading quickly into the air. The Metang continues in his downward momentum, crashing into the Banette with the full force of his weight, and glancing off of the ghost he tumbles to the ground with a cacophony of clangs. He twitches briefly before systems shut down, eyes going dark and arms dropping futilely to the earth.

Levi is unable to battle! Zelphon is the winner!

Zelphon gains 3 KOs and 6 TP.
dirkac gains 3 TP.
Miror gains 6 SP.

Definitely an interesting match to ref, but I have pointers for the both of you despite the rather one-sided nature of the battle. I'll start with Zelphy. Going from the start of the match, your counterpick of Pokemon was quite good, but you may not want to blow offtype so early on just a random whim, especially Psyshock as he did have a Pokemon in the wings that would certainly take more from it, and as Amaura being Rock got a bit of a resistance due to it hitting physically. Secondly, don't order anything like the Grass Knot again if you don't want to get torn apart, as the orders are particularly easy to exploit. Third, avoid using type spam going first (particularly offtype) unless you have a clear shot at it, as retaliation or exploitation is again pretty easy. Other than that, the match went quite well for you and you played decently.

Dirkac, a few pointers for you as well. First off, I was going to suggest countersquadding a bit better as you have the list of all of his Pokemon, make sure to have something that can cover everything that he's got and more, and so I was going to suggest possibly bringing a Fighting type. And then I took a look at your squad summary. Instead, I will now suggest getting something that either is Fighting type or at least has large amounts of Fighting offtype in the future, as you can see how dangerous a Normal type is currently to the things that you have. In either of the first two match ups with Amaura and Litwick, you did a lot of turreting, not really taking advantage of your surroundings and just staying in the same spot and firing STAB moves. While this isn't the worst of strategies, the two Pokemon also had a lot at their disposal that you could've used to disrupt things that Zelphon was doing, especially when you were going first and there was clearly typespam coming when he ordered. Thunder Wave/Rock Tomb/Screens (especially Barrier) for Amaura all could've at least held off the wave of typespam that came, which is really where checking Veekun and other sites to see what attacks he is likely to use against you could really help, while with Litwick you had Confuse Ray, Smog/Haze, Spite and other things you could've used to bring him down faster, especially considering how low he was getting on energy towards the end there. Mix it up, because just "two STAB attacks" isn't going to get too far. The choice of Amaura to start with, especially when he gets to so easily pick a direct counter to it, was pretty poor unfortunately. There's just so much to take advantage of in terms of Amaura that picking it without really having any preparation for what's to come ended up, well, as it did. If you were set on using it at some point, picking it in response to something would've given it a better chance at getting to do more as well as not get completely demolished like it did. So, breaking down the rounds, the first suggestions here really come into play as you didn't really do anything that would prevent him from acting exactly how he wanted whenever he went second, so definitely consider distracting/interrupting techniques for the future. The Grass Knot thing has plenty of ways to work around it, even not attacking at all would've been an option. Attract is a particularly finicky move to pull off, especially when you've been relentlessly attacking the opponent for the past rounds. Other than that, with both the remainder of Amaura's time and Litwick's, just remember you have a moveset other than STAB attacks at your disposal. With Metang you got into a bit more of defensive play which worked pretty well, but in terms of the round where you used Substitute: why? You ended sacrificing more energy in addition to health to block something you could've just done with Protect for a lot less cost. The Double Team was pretty well used, so good on you for that. Unfortunately you then followed it up with 1) a move that you didn't have and 2) a move that would've completely defeated the purpose of using Double Team, as clones disappear when you use anything offtype. For both of you as well, when you have a match up where one Pokemon is significantly larger than the other (Stantler vs. Amaura/Litwick, Metang vs. Stantler/Banette), remember that there's always the option for weight abuse. A well placed Body Slam on either side could've changed a lot of the match surrounding it as the other would have to focus on either escaping from underneath you or find ways around the paralysis, either way taking their attention off of attacking you and to getting themselves free. Especially in the case of Metang, Body Slams could've been pretty devastating, as Banette wouldn't be in the best of positions to get away from it as well as they'd end up being pretty high damage for a lwoer energy cost. Also, make sure that an opponent's screen is gone before continuing with other attacks, it's simple enough to just go with a move of the kind it doesn't block (ie: Special Attack through Reflect) to just make sure it isn't a problem.

So yeah, take all of that with a grain of salt, but I'd definitely suggest keeping it in mind. If you ever need a ref in the future (if I have slots XD) I'd certainly be willing to help out. Good luck in your future matches!

Thanks for the commentary, Miror.
Yeah, Fighting would have been a problem but considering this is the first time I've battled a pure Normal and I have my Shroomish to Evolve I didn't think I would necessarily beed one immediately.

Yeah, the problem is that I really have no idea how to use Status Moves effectively, and I need to keep some sort of offesnive presence going since I was far behind anyway on Health.

I also keep forgetting that Ghost isn't immune to Normal PASBL so that obviously didn't help
