Good luck, Miror! Thanks for refereeing, Blaze.

Level 1

Otachi: Female Nincada
Nincada: Nincada are very good diggers and can Dig with speed and ease. If there are trees in the arena, Nincada may Dig underground and gain a moderate amount of health from the tree roots by sucking nutrients from them. During this, Nincada may not attack. Nincada can see in the dark.
Biography: Little is known about Otachi. Her origins, her clan. How she managed to attain quite such impressive size. Only one thing is certain - her control is much more developed than any other of her species, and she seems to have in particular a special control over the ground beneath her feet. Well, this, and a single memory gifted by the Nincada she believes to be her progenitor. NINCADA.
Signature Training - Kaiju Blue:
Otachi is now the size and weight of a Crustle. Courtesy of her larger size, she commands a much more certain control over the ground and it's propensity, learning how to use Earthquake, Earth Power, Bulldoze, Stone Edge and Ancient Power. In addition to this, Otachi has Rock- type energy pools identical to those of her other Ground- typed brethren. However, Otachi may never evolve from her Nincada state.
Hidden Power: Ground

Surt: Male Numel
Numel: Numel are not particularly quick-witted Pokémon. While some might argue that this makes them similar to Slakoth and Slaking, this is due more to the fact that Numel aren't particularly bright instead of lazy. Because of this, Numel don't often get the initiative and have trouble comprehending more complex orders. However, this same slowness also makes Numel extremely resistant to mentally-affecting abilities and abilities that rely on manipulating emotions, such as Attract, Charm, etc. The flipside to this is that abilities that rely on extreme emotions, such as Rage, are less effective when used by a Numel.
Biography: Surt has always felt a much stronger connection to his mastery over flames than his dominion over ground. This has left him a fiery temper, ever determined to crush his foes under his iron clad hoof. Stomping from area to area, he left nothing but razed fields wherever he went, and everyone who witnessed this maddening tirade only ever spoke of a single, catastrophic phenomena.
Signature Move - Crimson Devil:
Expelling flame from his hump, Surt creates a towering plume of flame, before manipulating it into a thick column of swirling flame. Sending this crashing towards the foe, the construct will engulf the target, inflicting Major- Fire type damage while costing equivalent energy. Should this strike an airborne foe, not only will this attack deal slightly more damage, it will have a 20% chance to cause Confusion as the target is battered around within the vortex.
Hidden Power: Ground

Feene: Female Hippopotas
Hippopotas: Hippopotas are full of sand and are able to use the sand in their body to produce Sandstorms, instead of relying on the sand in the arena. Their Sandstorm attack is more persistent than those used by other Pokémon and will last longer and deal more damage. Unlike real life hippos, Hippopotas prefer dry, arid environments and will fight more enthusiastically in such conditions.
Biography: Feene is, fundamentally, not a very fast fighter. Her physical prowess is unmatched, her defensive potential second to none - but this matters for naught when she can't even catch her opponent. This critical flaw has troubled her all her life, but it has also imbued within her a fine appreciation for sand. Sand can be used to entrap opponents, used to slow their motions ... used to allow Feene to strike.
Signature Training - Shifting Sand Land:
Consuming Moderate energy per round, Feene can manipulate any body of sand in order to entrap her opponent somewhat. This causes the motions to become sluggish as they wade through the ever shifting foothold beneath them, resulting in a 25% speed decrease for every round this ability is active. This ability is passive, and should be treated as a permanent decrease to the opponent's speed.
Hidden Power: Ground

Jormungand: Male Onix
Onix: Onix are large Pokémon and are able to burrow through hard materials such as concrete with their Dig attack easily. They can see in the dark. They have slightly higher physical defence compared to other Rock-types.
Biography: Jormungand is keenly aware of the way his immense size can hinder him in battle. Although his reactions and movements are by no means sluggish, he has a deep understanding of the way his hefty body can make him a much easier target, and as such, he began to dedicate his time to learning how to deal with this crippling fault. At first he was stumped, his efforts all in vain, until he witnessed the training of Aisu. Watching what the Mamoswine could do with her fabricate chains instilled the seed of an idea within the mind of Jormungand, which quickly bloomed.
Signature Move - Gates of Valhalla:
Expending Major Ground- type energy, Jormungand creates a stunning replica of the gates of Valhalla. This construct will immediately open, spewing out heavy chains which ensnare the opposing Pokemon. These chains will remain hanging to the opponent for the following 5 turns, reducing their speed by 25% for the duration of this time. The Gates of Valhalla deals no damage, and will consequently spew the chains at every opposing Pokemon sent into battle. Jormungand may no longer use Curse, Stealth Rock or Iron Head.
Hidden Power: Ground

Yuki: Female Corsola
Corsola: Corsola have limited movement ability on land and are better suited to shallow water, where they can move more quickly with the water carrying some of their weight. They fight more enthusiastically when submerged and in a sizable body of water. Corsola are fairly resistant to Water-type moves despite their Rock-type and take slightly less damage from them. They can see in the dark.
Biography: Yuki is an almost benevolent Corsola. Having been abandoned at an early age by her pack because of the strange colouration of her skin, she had begun traveling the globe, marveling in the sights she had seen. Swimming from the deepest oceans to the most shallow of rivers, her trek of discovery was never ending ... but one thing always nagged at her mind. Her stiff exterior limited her mobility, and one thing was perpetually denied of her. Trekking across the lush, green lands of the world. Resolving to remedy this, she searched for a teacher.
Eventually, Yuki happened upon a small alcove locked away from most other river ways. Having happened upon it during the rainy season, she became acquainted with the local Pokemon ... before coming to a crushing realisation. With the rainy season over, the Corsola found herself stranded, cut off from the stream she used to get there. Though frustrated, she was not unhappy, and instead settled down in her small, somewhat isolated pond, awaiting the next rainy season.
Although Yuki was lonely, she was not alone. The local Pokemon oftentimes came to visit the small Corsola, and eventually Yuki became accustomed to their ways. Slowly, the Corsola began to stray from her pond, though at first the going was tough. On land her movement was stiff, her progress limited, and she was perpetually worried that one of her grassy friends would one day cause her harm. This day never came. Rather, the more acquainted with the ways of her new found friends she became, the less scared Yuki became of them, and instead she began to absorb their wealth of knowledge. Her outlook on life changed, and her skill set enhanced, Yuki once again broke out into the expanses of the worldly seas.
Special Training - As One with the Forest:
Yuki no longer takes crippling damage from Grass- type attacks, instead only taking x2 damage. She has also acquired both Horn Leech and Seed Bomb, with the energy to use the latter thrice per battle. However, her growing acclimatisation to the quirks of the Grass- type has rendered her weak to both Bug and Ice type attacks, taking x2 damage.
Hidden Power: Water

Torii: Female Sentret
Sentret: Sentret, when not moving, will stand on their tails if possible, which gives them a better view of their surroundings. This also reduces the damage they take from Earthquake and similar moves, as well as reducing the damage they take from electric attacks a bit (as the electricity goes through their tail to the ground). Their hearing is more sensitive than normal at the expense of being more vulnerable to sound-based status moves and they have an excellent sense of smell which allows them to track opponents and tell the real clone in a Double Team.
Biography: Torii has, as long as she has lived, been possessed of a much more potent intelligence than others of her species. This has manifested in a number of ways, most of them resulting in her being mercilessly targeted by those around her. Despite this, her uncanny ability has caused her to be much more tuned in with her latent abilities.
Signature Training - Honour Student:
Torii is no longer affected by the restriction on off type energy reserves which plagues most other Normal- types, instead having access to the full potential that her movepool provides.
Hidden Power: Normal

Same to you Connor, and thanks Blaze!

Zarbi - Level 2 Female Natu
Signature Move: Special Attack - Huitzilopochtli's Vigor (PS)
Spreading her wings wide and cawing towards the Sun, Zarbi channels divine Psychic energy to construct two Maquahitls held suspended in the air. A Maquahitl is similar to a sword, being a close contact weapon around 4' long and 4" wide, its edges having sharp obsidian embedded inside. Zarbi swings these with astonishing speed at her opponent using her mind, and can hit an opponent at most 10 feet away, each cutting for a Decent Psychic-Type hit. The Maquahitls dissipate upon impact, and have a 10% chance each of making the opponent flinch from the impact. In Realistic, these can leave at the worst severe cuts, physical damage being up the the referee's discretion. This attack uses Heavy Psychic-type energy.

Voord - Level 1 Male Kricketune
Signature Move: Special Attack - Whoop Shockwave
Voord now has access to the move Boomburst. Using extreme energy, Voord can also choose to lace the Boomburst with either Fire, Ice, or Electric energy, having just enough energy to use one of the three per match. In favor of this more powerful sound attack, Voord lost the ability to use Uproar, Hyper Voice, Snore, Sleep Talk, Growl, and Echoed Voice.

Karfelon - Level 1 Male Kecleon
Signature Move: Special Resistance - Hideaway
Karfelon's blending into the background is an instinctive technique, meaning that it is always hiding from view while in battle (although this is less effective in the open as Karfelon's stripe is still relatively easy to see floating in the air). This decreases the damage output of most opponents as they will generally get glancing blows at the best. Sharper eyed Pokemon, or Pokemon with heightened senses that otherwise allow them to detect Karfelon have a better chance of locating and hitting the chameleon. Moves such as Earthquake are not affected by Hideaway, as they hit everything in the vicinity regardless of being able to see them or not. Unfortunately for Karfelon, having Hideaway means that any move it has to be seen for is nullified, so it loses the ability to use the moves After You, Attract, Double Team, Flash, Psych Up, Role Play, Skill Swap, Substitute, and Swagger.

Dulcian - Level 1 Male Onix
Signature Move: Special Resistance - The Beachcomber's Nightmare
Dulcian has become a pure Ground-type, gaining the weaknesses and resistances associated with such a typing. He retains Rock-type familiarity, having enough Rock-type energy to fuel three Stone Edges. His body is less dense than previously (about 20% lighter), due to being made out of sand as opposed to solid rock. No longer being made of Rock at all has affected Dulcian's movepool as well, as he loses access to the move Rock Polish.

Manussan - Level 1 Female Lotad

Shakri - Level 1 Male Swinub

Alright Karfelon, invisi-Kecleon for the win

Round 1: BEGIN

Two trainers meet on a field of no note, the lawn arena, and prepare for battle. This is supposed to be a quick match today, but it could end up turning out to be pretty long. Ha! I'm joking. I don't have anything else to do but ref anyways. Each trainer grabs a Pokeball out of their bags, before throwing them into the arena. From Miror, the Serebii Staff member (and I assume mod?) comes out Karfelon, a Kecleon! From his opponent, the great CIBBIR comes Torii, a Sentret. That Kecleon's sig has found its match in the great nose of the Sentret, who evolves into one of the cutest Pokemon ever. Just so you know.

Quote:
Sentret (Normal): Sentret, when not moving, will stand on their tails if possible, which gives them a better view of their surroundings.

Kecleon (Normal): Kecleon can disguise themselves like a chameleon quickly and without using energy, at the cost of a move. However, their stripe remains visible, so they can still be tracked, although it is much harder. Attacks based upon trickery are slightly more effective when used by Kecleon.
The match starts off quickly, with both Pokemon preparing themselves for the battle ahead. The Sentret is up on her tail while the near invisible Kecleon is waiting for the opportune chance to attack. Torii starts off by taking in a large breath of air, not intending to use it for a wind-based attack but actually is using it so she can prime her diaphram for an attack. She releases a mighty loud yell that ripples across the arena and causes the Kecleon to cover his ears in order to block out the sound, but that's useless because very quickly later a bright ring of energy rides the sound waves and slams into Karfelon, causing him to cry out and stagger back, though the only evidence of this happening is the red zigzag floating backwards a bit. Karfelon quickly recovers however and concentrates his psychic abilities. His head begins to glow with a faint color although its not entirely noticeable and suddenly a bright multicolored beam shoots out of his forehead straight towards Torii. The beam hits Torii head on causing her to cry out a bit, although its not particularly painful, as its not that strong of an attack.

The Sentret is up on her tail while the near invisible Kecleon is waiting for the opportune chance to attack. Torii starts off by taking in a large breath of air, not intending to use it for a wind-based attack but actually is using it so she can prime her diaphram for an attack. As he recovers, Karfelon gets ready to really put the hurt in on his opponent. His first charges up with energy before he charges at his opponent, although its difficult to see where his course is from sight alone, and jumps into the air before slamming his fist right into Sentret's chest. There is a small explosion and Torii flies backwards through the air and lands back on the ground. But the look on Torii's face shows that her mind was pretty addled by the attack and that she might not be ready for next round. Ruh-roh!

Condition:
Energy use was fine from the two of them, and both of them are showing some scuffs and bruises, although Torii looks a little worse.

Let him Mega Punch you out of confusion, then Dynamic Punch as you roll to one side to offset Body Slam. Dynamic Punch again, before ending her with Secret Power.

Round 2: This was supposed to end today, but Skype happened.

The start of the round begins with a clearly confused Torii facing off with a nearly invisible Kecleon. Things couldn't look grimmer for Cibbir, but it seems that the boy has a plan that might just make him a man. Unfortunately for Cibbir, he clearly wasn't drunk so I don't know if this has the balls of "Pursuit into the lake and then Superpower." Karfelon quickly closes the gap between the two of them, with Torii so confused that she honestly can't tell that anything happened. He raises his fist into the air and it begins to...wait does Mega Punch glow at the moment? It seems it does! He raises his fist into the air and it begins to glow a bright white color as energy rushes into it, turning it from a normal "Punch" into a "Mega Punch." Mega Evolution! Anyways, Karfelon puches Torii in the face, causing the little...prairie dog? raccoon? ferret? Maybe its a queer sort of meerkat. Anyways, after being punched in the face, all reasoning comes back into Tori's head and she cries out, flying backwards quite a few feet from the sheer force of the attack. She rolls on the ground, before getting back up, ready to really bring the hurt to her opponent. She runs across the ground, her front forepaw building up a lot of energy that looks similar to an attack we saw last round. Normally most Pokemon would have a difficult time finding a nearly invisible Kecleon, but Torii has one advantage on her side: her sense of smell. With her amazing sense of smell, she can easily detect and track the invisible opponent, allowing for no escape. She quickly finds her opponent and jumps into the air before slamming her fist into Kafelon's face. A small explosion happens as what always happens with Dynamicpunch, and Kafelon is flown backwards a couple of feet, before landing on the ground hard. When she comes up...well I can't exactly see what's going on but it seems to me that the zigzag shape is hovering back and forth oddly, and it seems that the Kecleon is pretty confused.

With the Kecleon confused and really unable to do anything, Torii begins her next attack. She runs across the ground, her front forepaw building up a lot of energy that looks similar to an attack we saw last round. However, it seems that this Dynamicpunch was weakened due to a lack of energy needed to pull the whole thing off. It also seems that the move knocked Kafelon out of confusion, but he can't seem to remember what his move was anyways, the confusion made him forget it. Now starting to tire out, Torii's body begins to glow a bright pink color before she charges at Kafelon, who tries to dodge the attack but is still unable to. She rams into Kafelon, who curses as he is struck by the powerful attack, and he falls to the ground, along with Torii. Both get up, slowly, but for different reasons. Torii is looking to be really exhausted while Kafelon is looking to be really beaten up.

Condition:
Some blows were traded, now Torii is beginning to look pretty beaten up while Kafelon is looking to be on his last legs, probably unable to go for another round. Energy wise Torii is exhausted after her three mover and out of Fighting energy.

There is zero way a Pokemon should be surviving two Hyper Voices, two super effective Dynamic Punches and a Secret Power under 4/6, unless there are partial hits which you deigned to mention.

Round 3: The Round was the round, and the round was Round.

So both of our battlers are showing a massive boost in their creativity. That's right folks, instead of trying to be cool and make this into a boxing contest or a sumo match (with all the associated match rigging and gambling) or a general sniping contest they have decided to win this with the power of singing! It's like High School Fucking Musical in here!

Spoiler: show

Yeah okay I couldn't find a negative picture about it so enjoy sex. That's always good. Anyways, the first one to start singing is Kafelon, since Torii needs to rest her singing voice and he begins to sing one of the absolutely horrid songs from HSM. Which one? There was more than one? My God they actually wasted all that time on it? Jeezus Christ that is bloody terrifying. Anyways, Kafelon's singing reverberates through the arena and causes Torii to cover her ears, not wanting to hear the horrible singing at all. Kafelon is definitely not going to be getting on The Voice any time soon. As he sings, a band of energy rings throughout the sound waves and smashes into Torii, causing her to cry out in pain but still remains standing as the song ends. Then, in reply, she begins to sing her own song. At least her tastes are a little bit better, I think, since I'm pretty sure what she is singing is Sinatra, but by God if it is she is positively murdering the song. Kafelon covers his ears as the sound waves move out, followed by a bright ring of energy that slams into Kafelon. He staggers around, his body finally going in and out, before falling down, becoming full visible.

Kafelon is unable to battle!

Condition:
Torii took another hit and is still looking pretty scuffed. Energy wise she is a lot less tired.

Round 4: DEMMMOOOONNNNNNNN KAAAAPPPPPPAAAAAA

Miror recalls his fallen Kecleon, thanking it for a good job done before quickly rummaging through his bag for another Pokeball. He takes it out and throws it into the arena, the Pokeball opening up into a weird Pokemon with a lilypad on its face. Some might not know this Pokemon's legendary reputation around ASB, and even a few FBers know it, but this is the mighty Demon Spawn, Lotad. It shall conquer all before it in demonic flames, bringing about the end of the world, destroying souls and pillaging villages. Only you can prevent Demonic Takeovers Cibbir. Only you. Just whatever you do don't turn Coke into Moose Piss.

Quote:
Lotad (Water/Grass): Though able to swim and stay underwater for a fair amount of time, Lotad are not the best swimmers and prefer to stay near the surface of the water. They benefit from rain much more than other Grass Pokémon and fight more enthusiastically in the rain.
Manussan starts off the round by taking a deep breath in, trying to get some power into his diaphram for his next attack. His inner water supply begins to heat up and boil as a good bit of Fire energy is mixed into the water, causing it to heat up rapidly inside of him, before he breathes back out and uses his muscles to shoot out the boiling hot stream of water at Torii. At the sight of the attack Torii begins to dig underground, but is slightly delayed because of her lingering exhaustion. She is able to get a good way into the ground before the attack hits her tail, and she scurries faster inside, only taking a partial hit from the attack but not enough to make her burned. She quickly digs through the ground before popping up under Manussan, pushing him into the air before scratching his underside, doing a nice hit in damage to him and he groans slightly before returning back onto the ground in front of Torii.

Manussan tries to do the same attack as last time, his demonic flames beginning to heat up the attack inside of him, before suddenly he sees that Torii's hand has gone up into the air. Its curiously high up for it to be an attck, but that is precisely what it looks like to Manussan; a dark fist attack that is about to be bored into him at any moment. He tries to finish up his attack, but not before Torii can swing her fist at him, causing him to dodge it and ruin his concentration, the water quickly going back to normal temperatures. But, while he isn't hit by the first strike, the second one, the true attack, definitely hit, slamming him in the stomach and causing another, deeper groan to come out of him before he flies back a couple of feet and lads on the ground.

Condition:
Manussan has already taken a couple of hits, showing some sign of battle, and Torii is looking a bit worse from last round. Energy use was fine from Manussan but Torii is going to be a little tuckered out.

Round 5: Giga Drain is simply not one of those moves

With both battlers looking at each other with fierce intent, this battle has gone on with a really tight start and now into its second half it seems that Connor has a lead he is simply not going to give up. The start of the round begins with Torii waiting for an attack to dodge with her pretty awesome digging abilities. Mannusan gives that opening as green tendrils move out towards Torii. While the tentacles aren't necessarily that fast, she is still bound by one or two of them as she goes to dig into the ground because of the fact that she is really quite tired. It drains away some of the energy from Torii, but she is still able to dig away and gets out of the reach of the energy draining tentacles. I mean tendrils. She continues digging underground, mindful of the collapsing ground behind her and she pops up under the Lotad once again, striking it pretty hard as it gets back into melee distance with the Demon spawn. Demon Spawn was not happy with that near-dodge, and so he creates a small sphere of energy in his face, this ball of energy sometimes being the most important part, that is. The orb of water is fired from his mouth and drenches the Torii in a massive tidal wave of water, or maybe something similar to that. The attack makes it a bit dizzy as the damage really beings to rack up. No confusion however. Then Hyper Voice happens and I'm nodding off I should stop.

Condition:
both battlers took hits, Lotad starting to look worn out while Torii is really hurting, Energy use was fine from Lotad but Torii really needs a break.

Surely the Lotad should be around the midpoint now?

Actually no my attacks are probably a tad weaker considering exhaustion. Carry on.

Round 6: DIGLETT DIG DIGLET DIG CIBBIR CIBBIR CIBBIR

That title properly describes what Connor has been doing the entire time. I think its a marvel if I may say it myself. Anyways, clearly annoyed by the fact that Dig spam has actually been working, Manussan against counts on his demonic flames to power his next attack. His internal water supply inside of him begins to get hotter and hotter as it is fueled by his demonic flames, before reaching that mythical 212 degrees (or okay for those of you who really need to anal about temperature, 373.2 Kelvins), and begins to boil. Now that its ready, Manussan shoots out the boiling hot water at Torii, who is simply too tired to try and dodge the attack at any right, and it ends up hitting her right on the stomach area, causing a lot of pain and discomfort from her as she cries out. No burns however, it seems, and she prepares for the next attack.

Now that its ready, Manussan shoots out the boiling hot water at Torii, but this time Torii has a plan, and...its the same god damn plan as before. She begins to dig underground, but she is still tired even given time to prepare, and the Scald scores a partial hit. Unfortunately, its enough that Torii cries out and stops digging. Seems she has gone unconscious.

Torii is unable to battle!

Condition:
Manussan is looking to be a bit winded.

Otachi, rise from the breach. Dig under his first attack, before Bug Buzz.
