Round The Seventeenth: Size Matters

George tightens his grip around Gaston, attempting to twist him about and force him into Submission. Sadly for the bug, the brute isn't exactly weak, and doing so costs a great deal of energy before Gaston eventually flops to the floor. But this is partially a ploy of the Machamps, as one of his arms swings up in the process in an attempt to Knock Off the Pinsir. The blow is rather unexpected, and thanks to the Machamp's brute strength, causes George's grip to loosen just long enough for Gaston to wrench his head free. A little bit peeved, George coats his fist with a white glow (seriously why does it glow if it's not a typed attack?) before swinging in at Gaston, the Mega Punch connecting, though not creating any real distance between the two thanks to the weight difference. Speaking of weight difference, Gaston decides to put it to his advantage, leaping into the air as his body becomes coated with Steel energy. Weighing more than twice that of his foe causes the incoming Heavy Slam to hurt quite a bit, and the round promptly closes with the Machamp successfully pinning his foe.

George took a nice chunk of damage, sitting around the midpoint. Energy use was a bit high and a break would be nice soon.

Gaston took a decent bit of damage, heading for the final marker already. Energy use was about average, and is still good there.

Ethe.

The round starts with Gaston's fist glowing with a cold energy. The Machamp swings his fist in towards his pinned foe, connecting with the Ice Punch rather nicely, and causing a decent sized patch of ice to form on George's right side. The Machamp's assault doesn't end there, though, thanks to George being a little winded, and Gaston brings one of his other fists down onto George's left, smacking the bug with the crackling Thunder Punch for a nice blow. Getting a little sick of being stuck underneath this brute, George summons up the energy to call upon the forms of the rest of his bandmates. That's right, the sig older than dirt but that has never been used is actually coming into play. Dave's going to try With a Little Help from My Friends. Electric, Fighting, and Flying energy takes the form of a Volbeat, Heracross, and Ledian respectively, and without a moment of pause, the three forms charge the Machamp, each smacking into Gaston in turn before fading, the slight amount of super effective damage from the Ledian's tackle managing to offset the otherwise energy inefficient move. The final tackle manages to be enough to knock Gaston off of George, and both combatants slowly get up to eye eachother in melee range as the round comes to a close.

A hefty blow to Gaston pushes him into critical range. Energy isn't really an issue at this point.

A nice couple of blows to George puts him about where his foe started the round. Energy use was average, and despite using only a single move, didn't really help too much to alleviate his winded state.

Dave.

Round The Nineteenth: Birthday Happy

I was going to wait to post this reffing until the exact time of the birthday, but since Kush ruined the surprise... Also *points to the title of Round 3* let's try to make that a thing, yeah?

Panting heavily, George lowers his body and rushes towards his nearby foe, looking to put an end to this matchup. Gaston isn't about to go out without a fight, though, and a slightly orange glow begins to form around the Machamp. It proves to be quite useless, however, as the bug plows straight through the technique with his Take Down, which proceeds to do just that, as the four armed brute can't take the blow, falling unconcious on the floor, the energy that surrounded him fizzing out into the air.

Gaston is unable to battle!

George took some recoil damage and is inching towards critical ranges. Energy use was alright but thanks to the short round didn't really get the break he needed.

Ethe, your final Pokemon and orders please.

Round The Twentieth: Feelin' Hot Hot Hot

Recalling the brute, Ethe chooses his final Pokemon, who happens to be a bit more sly than the former combatant. It's a Zoroark, one of the few to ever grace the League. The ref grimaces for a moment due to the fact that its SC was never put on the site, but eventually digs it up. Hint hint Dave.

Zoroark will make a Double Team-like projection that surrounds its body, taking on any visual characteristics the subject of the projection possesses. As long as the illusion is sustained, Zoroark will take on any visual characteristics it might possess, such as intimidation (Gyarados) or cuteness (from a Cleffa). This may also be used as camouflage. The illusions act similarly to Double Team clones and will be dispersed by most attacks (including Foresight and Odor Sleuth), and while Zoroark using an attack will not dispel the illusion, it may weaken its effectiveness, especially if Zoroark is ordered to perform an attack that the subject of the illusion would be unable to do (such as a Gyarados using a Slashing attack or a Fire type using a Water move). This technique costs good energy and while it can be used any number of times, it loses its effectiveness with subsequent uses.
The new arrival to the field immediately brings its foe into focus, and flames swirl around the fox's mouth. Quickly the fire shoots forward in a tight stream towards George, whose eyes widen instantly in surprise. Panting heavily, the bug tries his best to get up a defense, but his foe is simply too fast and George too tired, and the Flamethrower scorches the Pinsir handily. As the flames die down the charred carapace of the bug staggers, only to fall limp, lying face down unconcious on the arena floor.

George is unable to battle!

Zoroark took no damage and used little energy, and as such is raring to go.

Dave, your fourth Pokemon please.

Boo you whore.

"Return George, good grappling.

FUCK YEAH SEAKING."

Quote:
SEAKING: Male Seaking
Seaking: (Water) - Seaking are excellent swimmers, but are helpless on land. However, in the water, they can swim against incredibly powerful currents, and are much more likely to get out of attacks like Whirlpool.
Water Pokémon are able to hold their breath under water. The time varies, from about half an hour to one hour for reptilians and mammals, and indefinitely for fish and squid like Pokémon. They are also, generally, good swimmers.
Bio: 'FUCK YEAH SEAKING', that's how the meme goes. No-one knows how, or why. But SEAKING is that meme incarnate. Insanely powerful compared to others of his species, this individual has the angry eyebrows that people have come to expect from the various images circulating around the interent. And is just as mental.

Special Training - FUCK YEAH SEAKING:
SEAKING is just plain awesome. Through tapping into the power of memes, he has gained the power of flight, managing a flight ceiling and speed comparable to a Starmie. In the water, this manifests as a slightly faster swimming speed, though Seaking are strong swimmers to start with. This is because Seaking is so awesome, Gravity doesn't even try to restrain it.

Round The Twentyfirst: FLOATING FLOUNDERS FISHMAN!

His third Pokemon finally fallen, our king of fish decides to use something he is quite familiar with. That's right, he's chosen none other than SEAKING the Seaking, a Seaking so awesome that, unlike other Seaking, SEAKING has gained the power of flight, making this Seaking no longer helpless on land. Seaking.

The new entrant to the field starts quick, and in a rather ironic twist on things, blows bubbles of pure water into the air. Well... Water energy. The resulting Bubblebeam is rather speedy, and Zoroark seems to recognize it'll be no use trying to take it on horizontally, so he decides to try vertically instead. The black lupine leaps through the air with the aid of a quick Bounce, effectively sailing over the small orbs as they stream by below, fizzing off into the distance. Thanks to the amount of starting space between the two, though, Zoroark isn't quite able to make it to SEAKING, covering only just over half the gap in his attempt. He doesn't have much time to get his feet firm, though, and his floating fish foe creates a much larger orb of Water energy before himself. The Water Pulse is launched and strikes Zoroark firmly, promptly bursting into a small wave of water, soaking through the beast's fur. Luckily for Zoroark, it would seem he's come out of the attack with a lack of an addled mind, and decides that he'd rather take advantage of his foe in this method instead. A slight growl emanates from the muzzle of the beast before the boom of a Snarl strikes through the air, shocking SEAKING a bit before the following Dark energy travels the short distance between the two to strike for a decent hit, leaving the fish somewhat frightened, which may leave him feeling a bit hesitant to attack in the coming round.

A nice hit to Zoroark caused his health to dip some, but he's still good. Energy use was about average, and he's still fine for now.

SEAKING also took a nice blow, and is in about the same place as his foe. Energy use was also about average, and he's just slightly better off than his foe in that regard.

Ethe.

Round The Twentysecond: Mr. Stabby

Zoroark starts off the round, rushing his foe as black energy swirls and churns around his claw. Dave has ordered to defend against the Night Slash, but seemingly has forgotten that SEAKING is feeling a little hesitant at the moment, and the attack swings in to claw across the fish's side before he loses all hesitation he had. His horn glimmers purple before stabbing it into the Zoroark directly in front of himself. The Poison Jab injects the energy straight into the lupine creature, and as he staggers backwards a faint glow around the strike point indicates hat he has been poisoned. Angered, Zoroark forms some more black energy between his paws before loosing a Dark Pulse. The range being as close as it is, SEAKING has no time to dodge, blasted backwards a few yards by the blow before he can right himself, his floating preventing him from smashing into the ground to lose momentum. Dave looks to put as large a dent in Ethe's final Pokemon as possible now, and his trusty fish is well equipped to do just that. Glowing a light green, SEAKING's horn comes charging in once more. Zoroark's eyes widen before catching the Megahorn directly between them, sending him tumbling backwards a few feet. As the Zoroark picks himself up to look in the somewhat smug face of his foe, he shudders from the poison, signalling the end of the round.

Zoroark took nasty damage and has sailed past the midmark and floats a good bit above critical ranges now. Energy use wasn't too bad but is by far the least of his worries.

SEAKING took a couple nice blows, starting to head towards the midpoint. Energy use was a good bit higher than the norm and a break somewhat soon would be a good idea.

Dave.

Round The Twentythird: About Time

Holy shit I didn't realize Ethe had ordered.

SEAKING opens up the round, loosing a might stream of water at his foe. The Water Gun quickly closes the small gap between himself and his fox foe. Drenched by the stream, the Zoroark finds himself pushed back a bit as he tumbles across the ground. Battered, he picks himself back up, barely hanging on. Not wanting to go down without a fight, she shoots out a beam of Psychic energy. The blast strikes SEAKING nicely and the Extrasensory quickly goes to work messing with the fish's senses, causing a nice bit of irritation. But the Seaking gets the last laugh as Zoroark shudders from poison one last time before collapsing to the ground.

Zoroark is unable to battle! DaveTheFishGuy is the winner!

Dave gets 10 TP and 5 KO
Eth get 5 TP
I get 6 SP thanks to the St. Paddy's bonus

"Return SEAKING, good stuff."

Holy fuck it's over. I think we're all at least a little to blame for that, but damn. Good match Ethe, watch out for movepools and stuff. No idea how I managed to get over a full Pokémon ahead.

Cheers Sneezey. Speed aside, excellent work as ever.

Dave out.
