Round 16: Care to return to us, Boltman?

Despite being tired, Gilan decides on trying to get some distance from his foe. With the Dusclop's signature trait and how Absol is a physical fighter, this makes no sense. Mors, taking note of this, charges one of his flying fists with a Mega Punch, and promptly socks the Absol in the face before it can react.

Gilan, finally getting the distance he wants, releases a dark pulse. To counter the dark waves of DESPAIR, Mors sends out a Blizzard. The two attacks collide, but only hamper each other a little bit. Both attacks connect and...

Both are still standing, surprisingly

Both are well into their critical ranges, and Mors is a bit tired.

He should be hella tired and winded from that Blizzard, so use that opportunity to bark up a Snarl. Another, if necessary.

Round 17: Not neccisarily Charm

While Mors is tired, he's not overly tired. He is still able to expand out his Shadow with decent speed. Gilan starts to snarl at him, but it's too late and he gets smacked by the Shadow Sneak. Mors, however, is not so fortunate and is hit by the shadow. It seems both are down so...

YEAH DOUBLE KO. CHARM SENT OUT ELECTIVIRE. THEN JERI SEND OUT YOUR MON WITH ORDERS. THEN CHARM ORDERS.

Um Blizzard's description specifically states that the user will feel winded for a time. That along with pumping out massive amounts of energy the last couple rounds shouldn't really allow using moves with decent speed.

Listen Charm, to me priority moves (from the games) are used faster than normal. Besides, do you want to stall this one round longer than needed?

Round 18: CHOO CHOO

Charm sends back our good friend Boltman while Jeri sends out a Flygon named Djinn.

The Flygon starts off the match be letting out an ear piercing supersonic. Boltman counters this noise with an uproar, sending out blue soundwaves. The two attacks meet, the uproar drowning out the supersonic while Djinn takes a reduced hit from the uproar.

Wanting to get a health lead, Djinn dives right in and smacks Boltman with a DC earthquake. The attack ravages the Electivire's body, but he retaliates with a hidden power ice. For good measure, the Electivire lets out another hidden power ice, making Djinn take a lot of damage.

Djinn's not starting off with a good start. Health wise he's already near the midpoint, but besides that he looks fine. Boltman took a good amount of damage as well, and is much worse, now in his last third. That bide from earlier really hurt. He's also a bid tired from the three mover.

As far as I know I haven't used my 3-mover, so.

"You don't need to be able to see to Earthquake. So do that three times. Don't be dumb and do it during the Flash and have it fail."

Round 19: And that's a wrap!

BOltman starts off the round by using Flash, the blinding light starting to illuminate the arena. However Djinn isn't going to take any of this bullshit and starts to earthquake. The attack hits Boltman half way through the flash, destroying his health bar and diminishing the attack's effects for a short while.

Seeing his enemy a bit blinded, Boltman decides to go in with some type spam. Not knowing if Djinn is going to send out another ground move, he decides to just run in a beeserked state. The first hit connects, letting Fjinn know his opponent is close. He then starts stomping on the ground once more, firmly jamming the attack and knocking the Electivire down. Oh, what's this? He can't get up, he's out!

Jeri and Djinn are the Winners! Congratulations!

Jeri gets 3 KOs and 6 TP
Charm gets 3 TP
I get 3 SP because lol what's a bonus?

That was an interesting match guys. So sorry about the quality of my reffings... Just I'm so sorry. Also, two earthquakes were enough to KO Boltman, so even if he avoided the second one the third would of still done him in.

Man, that was one of the more interesting battles I've had in a while. You caught me way off guard with the Volt Switch (which I totally should have foreseen and Mean Looked; huge misplay on my part) but you played a little too conservatively against my Dusclops. Most Ghosts fear Dark-types something fierce since it neuters a huge part of their moveset. If you had pressured me a little harder in that match-up, you would have likely had a much better time in the last match-up, since you could have tired out my Flygon enough with Absol.

That said, your Pokémon selection was what really did you the most good in this battle. Forcing a largely neutral match-up with Dragonair and making me play creatively with Machamp put a lot of pressure on me to put myself in risky situations. The bait-and-switch was also a good strategy, as it really forced me to play much more aggressively than I'm typically comfortable with.

I can tell you've figured out how to control match-ups, which I think is an underappreciated skill in the ASB, but I recommend working on taking advantage of those match-ups as much as possible. With some tweaking of your playstyle, you'd make a fantastic Gym Leader.
