Echo Cave Arena
Right then. Concept and Shadow both need to level, so why not do it together? Should be pretty cool. This arena ain't too boring either:

Level 1:

Herman the Torkoal (Male)
Torkoal: (Fire) Attacks on its shell will deal reduced damage, as it is quite sturdy. Smokescreen produced by Torkoal are much more potent then normal. However they are vulnerable if knocked on their backs.
No sig.

Big Al the Lickitung (Male)
Lickitung: (Normal) Lickitung has a long tongue, which it can extend out to 30 feet to hit enemies. Any attack a Lickitung does with its tongue does additional damage equal to Lick, with a 10% chance of paralysis.
No sig.

Fleetwood the Furret (Male)
Furret: (Normal) A Furret’s body is long and extremely flexible. While neither the fastest nor the most agile, they are able to bend their bodies adequately to avoid attacks or get into areas that other Pokemon cannot.
Fleetwood is a pretty cool, laid back dude who only takes off his signature sunglasses to battle. His preferred fighting style is very dependant on his tail.

Signature Move: Omnitail (Various)
Furret hits his opponent with his tail, which is charged with energy. Omnitail can be of any type of which Furret has access to an offensive (ie direct damage dealing) move of. It takes the energy and deals the damage of iron tail, except of whatever type it currently is. No more than two uses of any one type per match, and no more than three uses total per match.

Garland the Donphan (Male)
Donphan: (Ground) The strip of black, leathery skin acts as treads for when Donphan is performing a Rollout, thus giving it better traction (and accuracy) when using a Rollout attack. Like all elephants, Donphan are sure-footed, even though they cannot see their own feet.
No sig.

Mariah the Octillery (Female)
Octillery: (Water) Octillery has suction cups on its tentacles, which it can use to hold fast to certain surfaces. Thus, if the opponent uses attacks dependent on Octillery's weight, Octillery is considered to weigh 200 pounds for the duration of the attack, provided it's touching something it can hold on to. Octillery are fastest in water, though they can move somewhat well on land.
No sig.

Jerry the Raichu (Male)

Raichu: (Electric) Raichu is the fastest of the Pikachu family, if not the most agile. Its tail acts as a ground for its electric attacks. If its tail is not touching the ground when it uses an electric attack, it will take slight recoil damage. Raichu have sensitive hearing, at the expense of increased vulnerability to sound attacks.
Jerry is a Pikachu raised by a group of Marill as one of their own. He's mildly insane. This is why I like him.
Signature Move: Grace of Thunder (Water)
Jerry got good at manipulating his limited water energy due to living with Marill. This move is an upgrade to rain dance, and replaces it. He sends a beam of water energy akin to the small beam in sunny day, which may be directed either at the sky causing a rain dance effect or at his opponent, causing no damage but bursting into water and making them wet as if they'd been dunked in water. Energy cost is 1.5x Rain Dance, usable twice per match. This has the effect of making electric attacks effect ground types normally unless they manage to dry themselves off, as stated in the ground type characteristics.

Alright.

Biohazard Badge
Global Badge
The radioactive skull badge given out by Shadowshocker, leader of the Poison-typed Ground Zero Gym. All of Shadow's Pokemon are designed after some of Jumbaa Jookiba's 628 illegal genetic experiments, though due to general restraints Shadow has not been able to transcribe soopuh-Pokemon abilities to them. No one said anything about the badge, though, and it seems that prolonged exposure to the nasty sides of Poison has turned the badge septically sinister...
Badge Effect: Insult to Injury
If the holder's opponent's Pokemon is under at least one status, the holder's Pokemon does 15% more damage to the statused Pokemon.

Experiment 029/Checkers: Level 1 Male Venipede
Originally designed to grant his possessor intergalactic leadership, but when it was realised that the effect didn't apply to fellow Pokémon the project was abandoned. The news did not sit well with Checkers, who being naturally aggressive and persistent in accordance with his species, added a notch to his list of grievances and rage-topics, mainly how Unovan Pokémon were given lousy learnsets and have - save for some species - generally been mocked by purist veterans. The mega-centipede has thus turned his CENTIPEDERAGE to the entirety of all who came before him.
Signature Move: Unova Pride
Checkers' attacks do 10% more damage if his opponent is not from Unova (i.e. Kanto, Johto, Hoenn or Sinnoh). In exchange, when this effect triggers he has a 10% chance of disobeying non-damaging orders.

Grey Matter: Level 1 Male Elgyem
"Take me to your leader!"
Nobody really knows where Grey Matter's race came from. Some people theorise that they were originally bred as pets to be marketed on an intergalactic scale before they escaped to our universal coordinates - but this is mostly dismissed as kooky-talk. What is known, though, is that their cerebral prowess has granted them a great amount of knowledge, understanding and analytical might. Grey Matter himself proclaims to be the "smartest being in three galaxies", and seeks to prove it despite the flaws of the Psychic type.
Signature Training: Movepool Manipulation
Through the study of Pokémon and their learnset history Grey Matter has learned Mimic and Mirror Move. He has also figured out how to bypass the Dark-type immunity, and as a result all his Psychic attacks affect Dark-types as they would against other Pokémon. This opening of his mind has caused him to forget Imprison, Wonder Room and Heal Block.

Benvicktor: Level 1 Male Gurdurr
"You have no idea how wrong you are."
Benvicktor once served under a nefarious, cruel master - who it was, or what he had to do, Benvicktor won't say. What was noticeable, though, was that for whatever reason Benvicktor was forced into a different method of lugging things around as opposed to what his species was used to; instead of carrying them in his hands Benvicktor was forced to haul his timber across his back, never letting it drop while he stumbled about. This altered methodology of physical training led him to become quite different from others of his race.
Signature Training: Freehanded
Benvicktor's items are constantly balanced on his shoulders, attached by a moderate amount of Fighting energy to maintain per round. In this mode, however, Benvicktor is considered to be free of the increased energy usage and speed penalty that is characteristic to his species. Due to lugging the heavy weights around all the time, all of Benvicktor's physical attacks deal 15% more damage, opposed to the 25% bonus his species receives. Benvicktor can switch between normal and Freehanded modes without using an order, but cannot switch between modes more than once in a round.

Eye Guy: Level 1 Genderless Baltoy
"Now that's cold!"
Eye Guy numbers another of the oddity operatives in Sector Shadow's Ben 10 division. Not only is he impossible to surprise thanks to having eyes all around, he finds it fun to fire his random beam attacks from anywhere and everywhere, to the surprise and distress of his pranking victims - through the usage of his species ability to manipulate his clay arms through psychic power.
Signature Training: Satellite Beam
Similar to how Pokémon like Klink and Probopass are able to manipulate parts of their bodies over distances, Eye Guy is able to move his clay arms over distances and fire attacks from them instead, using an appropriate amount of Psychic energy to do so. Eye Guy uses a mild amount of energy to move both his arms over a distance of 5 metres. If Eye Guy is a Baltoy, he can project attacks similarly, but uses a decent amount of energy to cast an attack for every 5 metres instead.

Zapster: Level 1 Male Electivire
A playful, brash member of Shadowshocker's Squad. Zapster has been known to go out and play in the midst of lightning storms, and can absorb lightning strikes to the extent of hurting himself.
Signature Move: Storm Blessing
Zapster lets fly a blast of electricity into the sky. The same blast comes down in the form of a lightning bolt onto his opponent one to three turns later (similar to Future Sight), shocking them severely. Before the attack comes, rumblings begin to echo from the sky and a brilliant flash of light may occur. Storm Blessing uses up as much energy as Future Sight and also does as much damage as Future Sight. Zapster can't use this attack more than once each battle and he can't use this attack while battling in indoor arenas.

Wildvine: Level 1 Male Sceptile
"If this keeps up, I'm gonna start hurling sap."
Prior to joining Sector Shadow Wildvine lived in a particularly feral rainforest environment, populated primarily by Grass/Poison Pokémon who made the experiences of his clan an allergen-filled misery. In time, though, the hardy reptilian species had developed their own techniques of dealing with the forest and its permeating miasma of toxin spores, through slowly regulated absorption until they had developed reasonable immunity. As all brave Treecko who eventually leave their trees do, Wildvine departed his home forest and eventually, joined the team.
Signature Training: Bane of the Forest
All of Wildvine's offensive Grass-type attacks (with the exception of Absorb, Giga Drain, Mega Drain and Solarbeam) have a 10% chance of inflicting sleep, paralysis, burn or poison on the opponent.

Round 1: Screamo

Right then. Clash of both LOs and Gym Leaders here as newly-instated Water GL Concept takes on veteran Poison GL Shadow. With Concept using a few random choices and Shadow using mostly 'mon in need of levelling, this promises to be an interesting battle.

Shadow leads with one of his newer gains in the form of a Little Green Man - Grey Matter the Elgyem popping out of the Pokétrix to do battle. Concept's counter is a reliable Normal-type in Fleetwood Mac the Furret. With the slender Pokémon posessing an evolutionary advantage, the Unova-native may find himself put to the test.

Psychics are considered to automatically be familiar with psychic abilities. Thus, they can use Psychic to move and toss Pokémon. If facing a non-Bug, non-Dark opponent, Psychics can sense their opponent somewhat, making accuracy reducing attacks less effective.

Furret: (Normal) - A Furret’s body is long and extremely flexible. While neither the fastest nor the most agile, they are able to bend their bodies adequately to avoid attacks or get into areas that other Pokémon cannot.
Normal-types can use the greatest variety of attacks in the league: they pay for this, however, by having less type energy. They are resistant to nothing, and are weak to Fighting, taking double damage.
Crackling, Fleetwood kicks things off as he Charges up his Electrical reserves, soon expelling a Beam of power from his body, though he fails to grab a boost. The bolt strikes Grey Matter for a good hit, which the Psycher uses to help his Nasty Plots along, devious thoughts ramping his special attack stat right up. Just as he finishes this he gets thrown by an Uproar, the Furret's scream jolting him slightly as his ears are assaulted. This is repayed by a boosted Psychic wave, the mental energy sending Fleetwood for a loop, but he's able to quickly get to his feet, this fight nowhere near done.

Both Pokémon look as you'd expect after one round, Fleetwood holding slight leads in both stats. Grey Matter's got a Nasty Plot in the tanks.

Pursuit x2, one through each if possible. Replace the second with omnitail bug if he gets off the psyshock before you can pursuit.

Round 2: Psyspam

Putting his boost to work, Grey Matter blasts out a wave of Psychic energy. Fleetwood has found away around this, however, and simply coats himself in Dark power as he dives in Pursuit of his foe. The Elgyem's training doesn't extend far enough to cover the density of the Dark aura, and the wave is brushed aside before the Normal-type slams into the alien for solid damage. This puts them in close proximity, and Grey Matter's Psyshock is able to just get in before Fleetwood can make his next move, taking the boosted strike up-close. However, he taps into his special attack of Omnitail, his rear glowing green before he swings it round, slamming into the Psycher for nasty damage indeed, Grey Matter wincing as he catches his breath.

Not too great a round for Grey Matter, finding himself into the second half of his health while Fleetwood remains relatively healthy. These boosted attacks are taking a lot out of the alien too, his energy already about half-gone, causing him to tire - a breather would be appreciated. Fleetwood's energy use wasn't as strenuous, giving him a nice lead.

Round 3: Ommmmmmm...

Using that sig again, Fleetwood spins around with an Omnitail at the ready, more Bug power focused into it, slamming it into the tiring Psycher before Grey Matter can properly react. The Generic Charged Appendage Meleé Ability does a number on the alien, who prepares to use some Telekineses to throw the Normal-type off-balance. Sadly, Telekinesis' slightly lolworthy strength forbids this, Furret outweighting Elgyem by quite a bit, so this fails, allowing Fleetwood to Uproariously launch a sonic attack. Grey Matter winces slightly from the strike, returning the hit with a Psybeam to the Normal-type's facial area. No confusion results, and the contrast between the two is even more obvious as the round ends.

Grey Matter appreciated the relative breather, though he's still losing the energy race. Fleetwood shouldn't try any more Bug moves. As for health, the Furret seems to be about halfway-done, but Grey Matter is looking dire, into critical ranges. Still close.

Round 4: Slow builders

Descending to the ground, Grey Matter pumps some Rock energy into the earth, causing some slabs to rise up around him to enTomb him like some kind of episode of Stargate. However, they don't rise enough to block Fleetwood's Uproar, the soundwaves getting through the gaps in the rocks to strike the Elgyem for enough damage to put him under, the red Pokéball symbol flashing on his forehead as the rocks halt their advance.

Grey Matter is unable to battle!

No damage to Fleetwood. Energy use was nice, leaving him around the halfway mark. There's a partially-constructed Rock Tomb on the field.

Round 5: Swapsies

Next to emerge from the Pokétrix is Benvicktor, a hulking Gurdurr. With a type advantage upon the incumbant battler, this could be useful to dispatch Fleetwood once and for all.

Quote:

The beam can be dropped by Gurdurr to execute an attack under normal conditions and can be stolen from it, though it is very heavy and the Theif must be quite strong to do so.
Fighting Pokémon train extensively, more than any other Pokémon type, which gives them slightly greater endurance and energy.
Concentrating, the newcomer starts to Work himself Up, boosting his attacking stats as Fleetwood splashes into a pool, treading water as he prepares to get out of the battle for now. Just as he does so, Benvicktor releases a Round of song, using his boost to strike the Furret for a nice blow, but Fleetwood creates a Baton of energy. Withdrawing into his ball, he Passes it along to a teammate, Mariah the Octillery, who splashes into the pool, ready for battle.

Water Pokémon are able to hold their breath under water. The time varies, from about half an hour to one hour for reptilians and mammals, and indefinitely for fish and squid like Pokémon. They are also, generally, good swimmers.
Fleetwood took some damage and used a bit of energy, though he'll recover some now. Mariah's fresh and in a pool, while Benvicktor's undamaged and used a bit of energy. Work Up boost in effect.

Round 6: {slurp!}

With last round's all-change on the battlefield, Mariah seeks to add discomfort to her hulking foe, a burst of Scalding water blasting forth to strike Benvicktor for some nasty damage. No burn results, and the Fighter is able to use his signature speed to rush forward, wading into the pool and Punching the cephalopod in the face, Draining some health from his opponent. Having been robbed of some vitality, Mariah summons a Water Pulse before her, which crashes into the Gurdurr to deal some nice damage in exchange, Benvicktor stumbling back out of the pool. Somewhat angered, the Fighter stomps the ground, causing the cave to shake as some of the boulders around rise up, before sweeping down on the Water-type in a Rock Slide, barraging Mariah for a fair bit of damage, but not exactly burying her. Her pool does seem a lot shallower though.

Benvicktor's managed to grab himself a health lead, but at the cost of a fair bit of energy, starting to tire already. Mariah's taken a beating but is still fairly healthy, energy not yet an issue. The pool Mariah's in is now only a couple of feet deep, and Benvicktor's at the edge of said pool.

Round 7: God bless Octillery

Up close, Benvicktor goes to lay down the hurt as he channels some Fighting Force into his Palm, thrusting his hand outward. However, his energyburn negates his advantage, and his hand only tickles Mariah's face before a Psychic wave blasts the Gurdurr in the face for quite a lot of damage, leaving the Fighter reeling. However, he manages to power through the pain for a Brick Break, Mariah unable to react quite in time as her squidgy body absorbs most of the blow, but a second, weaker Psychic blast smashes Benvicktor back a few feet, leaving the Unova-native looking battered.

Mariah escaped the worst of the damage, just about at the midpoint of health while managing to send Benvicktor well below that marker. Energy was about even, but while Mariah's fairly well off bar an empty Psychic pool, Benvicktor is already into the second half of his reserves. Positions as of last round.
