UPN PASBL: GAME: Treep vs. DD

Point is that I've fought these two, i honestly don't care about their bracket since i'm going to possibly not make it out of mine, but either way I like them as people, so I'm gonna ref for them.

we know the rules, PM me pokemon + attacks

arena is this.

Sleepy woods: This arena is a wooded clearing with a totem to the north end. A few Pidgey and Spearow flit around but the only noticeable things about it are the big boulders on the north edge, hefted down by an Ursaring most likely.

Round 1

Either way, things are getting exciting, as the pokemon reveal themselves for the round.

When Chuck released Cuddles into the wild, it went away into a cave and kept training. After a few weeks of searching, I found Cuddles in a bad state after picking a fight with a wild Aggron. As we went to the pokémon center, Cuddles started to believe in himself again and challenged Chuck in his condition. The two battled and Cuddles showed himself to be a perfect fighter, single handedly beating Chuck. When Chuck offered him a spot on his team, Cuddles declined and asked to be part of my team. Since then, me and Cuddles have been training harder.
Special Technique: The bright, white fight. (Type Change)
Cuddles has the extra type Fighting added to it due to reasons specified in the bio. With the constant fighting energy in its heart, Cuddles has the additional type of Fighting and all of the weaknesses and resistances that lie therein. As a result it has knowledge of the moves Mach Punch, Dynamic Punch and Double Kick. However, because Cuddles trained too hard, it has lost the moves: Metal Claw, Last Resort, Yawn and Substitute.

Try a Double Kick to start and then finish the round off with a Seed Bomb. Replace the first with a Taunt if the opponent tries to boost itself in some way.

Special Technique: Solar Body (Fire)
Upon using this technique, Ra will glow red with Fire energy for 5 seconds. After this is over, Ra will be covered in his own personal Sunny Day, to a 5 foot radius, for 5 rounds. Fire attacks used by Ra will be 1.5x stronger, Water attacks used against him will be 1.5x weaker, and Solar Beam will have half the charge time (still only in arenas where it can be used to begin with). This technique cannot be used if Rain Dance is in effect. Energy use is equal to Sunny Day x2, and can be used once a match.

Float up a good bit, Light Screen, then Solar Body. If he uses Quagsire, then use your 3-mover and FC Solar Beam.

Either way, things are interesting as Solrock simply floats high into the air. Unfortunately for Ursaring, he can't really reach his opponent from his current position, and decides to not even try as Solrock continues with his second move. A bit discouraged, Ursaring isn't too happy, and while he was a bit too late to stop the majority of Solar Body, he gets revenge by tossing up some Seed Bombs. Shattering the screen and dealing heavy damage to Solrock right at the bat.

Results:

Solrock used quite a bit of energy, Solar Body is active however. Meanwhile, health took a heavy blow at any rate, but he's got plenty left.

Ursaring used less energy and took no damage, but Grass energy's low- 1 Seed Bomb is remaining.

DD to order first.

oooooh. A type change, eh? heh.

You know what do do, Ra. Earth Power to mess up the ground beneath him, then Psychic to throw him back onto it. Make sure you're still floating up high, so he's not tempted to Payback.

Wouldn't floating up count as an order?

Fake Tears to get him to come closer and potentially stop the Earth Power and then lay into him with a Shadow Claw

Round

Treep. it wasn't high enough to count as a move.

anyway.

As in a long ago earlier case, Ursaring tries to gain sympathy from something that just doesn't care. As it begins to cry, Tears falling from its eyes, Solrock does stop and think a bit, but remembering that it had just tossed explosive energy at it, he really doesn't feel that kind, and he launches his Earth Power as scheduled. Ursaring glares in anger, proving that the Tears were Fake, but he did notice that Solrock was a bit closer. Solrock continues, launching a Psychic blast that does quite a number on Ursaring, but having motivating him enough, causes the bear to dig deep, and in a funny movement, manages to Shadow Claw Solrock for a powerful hit...

Results:

Solrock took more damage, below 3/4ths now, energy use was solid however.

Ursaring took just as much damage, if not more than Solrock, and thus the health lead is negligible. Energy however, he's still winning, but Ghost energy took a large hit as well.

Either you ref Shadow Claw higher than I expected, you ref Psychic lower than I expected, or you forgot that I used Earth Power.

just pointing that out ;x

oh, I thought you meant for just that round. ok.

He'll have to use that same "funny movement" AKA jump to get you with that Brick Break. Catch him before he can do it, and throw him down with Psychic. Then when he begins charging Focus Blast, Psychic Wave. End with Fire Blast.

Round

Either way, the bear tries to jump again, but Solrock was not having it this time, and he catches him with Psychic. Now while this stops the Brick Break, it does not stop the momentum, and Ursaring still slams into Solrock before it can throw it to the ground. Angry, Ursaring starts to charge up a Focus Blast, but eerily similar to shadow ball issues, the attack explodes in his face after Solrock Psychics him. Finally, Solrock launches a Fire Blast, but the ownage stops, as Ursaring manages to GTFO, causing the fire to fly away... mostly harmlessly, except for the fire that's starting.

Results:

Ursaring is below half health now, energy use was kinda high, he's got some fighting energy left, but this round wasn't good for him.

Solrock took minuscule damage, but energy use was huge, he's well below his opponent. and is nearing half in that regard. DD's used his 3 mover.

...it's like I really am being punished for being better.

Grass Knot to trip him and hold him down, while you fuck him up with Psywave. If for some reason Grass Knot doesn't work, then throw him into the fire with Psychic. Keep floating out of range of any potential Paybacks.

Take the attack and Belly Drum. Night Slash once you're in attack powered and finish with an Ice Punch.

Three mover.

Round

Things are more interesting, as Ursaring seems to not notice the Grassy Knots tying around his feet as he waits for the next blow. at any rate, the Psywave deals heavy damage to the bear, and as he's slow to get up, he isn't going down without a fight, and he begins by Belly Drumming, maxing out his attacking prowess, at the cost of accuracy, defense and common sense. I say this because in his rage, he trips over the Grass Knot, which stops his Night Slash. However, with immense fury, he Ice Punches Solrock for heavy damage, and while the rock looks pained, nothing else occurs.

Results:

Solrock's now below half health, energy is further below half, but more than enough to KO Ursaring.

Meanwhile, Ursaring is near critical now, energy was high, He's Belly Drummed as well.

either way, both have enough to KO the other, so will the next round be the last?

WE WILL SEE!

Use your priority to Night Slash your worries away. Gunk Shot if he's gone away, Close Combat if not.

actually, nevermind, i can end you anyway.

He just used alot of energy. Again, catch him with Psychic, and finish it. Use another if it's not enough. No way you're going to faint if he gets you, anyway.

Round

something seems off here, oh yeah, it's the raging Ursaring who NIght Slashes the fuck out of Solrock before it can do a thing to protect itself. However, Solrock holds on, however barely, and manages to launch a Psychic Blast in retaliation. Ursaring falls, and does not get up.

Results:
Solrock's pretty close to dead, well into critical, not that it matters.

Ursaring is KO'ed, meaning that

DD and Solrock are the victors... really, it was very close.

DD get 1 KO, 2 TP
Treep get 1 TP
I get 1.25 SP.
