SP to TP + Combination moves

So, I know we can swap SP for TP. But can we go the other way, swapping TP for SP in order to buy reffing badges, pokemon slots, battle slots etc?

How do combination moves work? Quick Attack to Skull Bash is easy to work out but what about Flame Wheel + Flamethrower (think Ash's Monferno) or Quick Attack + Flamethrower for a running/strafing flamethrower? What about in double battles where you could combine a flamethrower and a Dragonbreath? limitless possibilities but... how would it work roughly?

I'm not sure, but I wouldn't be surprised if you weren't allowed to convert TP into SP.

I do do combined attacks in DT battles. They sometimes have interesting effects, but they work more or less.

You should be able to turn TP to SP for the same ratio.

If you take a gander here, it says you can convert 5 TP into 1 SP.

Since no one seems to have answered Kush's second question, I might as well chime in.

Move combination are generally going to be a-ok, but it's really pretty situational. There are a lot of factors that are going to go into move combination, and as long as your idea is fairly logical, most refs should let it slide. As for DT combos, it'll probably be a little riskier as you're adding the element of two Pokemon needing to coordinate their attacks, but a Twister and Flamethrower to make a Fire Spin-like attack or soemthing like that should have some level of success.

It's ultimately up to the ref, though, but as long as it seems plausible and you're not grasping for straws with your Pokemon's abilities to perform the moves simultaneously, you should be ok. Do take note that in most cases, combo moves are going to burn more energy than using the attacks separately.

That's a lot of battling you need to complete to get 1 SP - better do the reffing thing. It's obviously built to promote reffing, so go ref. It's a good thing to do. *nod nod*

Two different types of points are awarded to trainers. Trainer Points (TP) & Service Points (SP). Trainer Points simply serve to show the trainers current overall standings, while Service Points can be "traded in" for trainer points, and vice versa (1/2 Service Point for 1 Trainer Point).

2 TP = 1 SP

Was the original plan. Ron made a large discussion about it a coupla years ago now, when the ability to exchange points for KOs were scrapped. The TP/SP exchange was also changed.

The discussion is on SPPf somewhere I think. Muyo and the current LOs may want to make a verdict on it in the current climate to sort things out officially and clear it up properly.

EDIT: Discussion in question for anyone who wants to view it (SPPF thread, sorry Kuno).

1 SP -> 2 TP
5 TP -> 1 SP (you can have partial SP conversion here)

As for SP and KO's, the conversion needed will be based on current Trainer Level:

TL 1: 3 SP -> 1 KO
TL 2: 9 SP -> 1 KO
TL 3: 18 SP -> 1 KO
TL x: 3*x*(x+1)/2 SP -> 1 KO (no partial KO conversions and KO's cannot be retransferred back into SP)

Also, there will be a maximum of 5 converted KO's per Trainer Level.
The important bit.

Yeah I_D, I know, and I'm totally about to ask you for a small loan I don't want to be (illegally) reffing 10 matches at a time. Currently I'm on 5ish including a GT match that I've already had to assess and I sadly have other things to do.

The KO part was completely removed. I'm sure of that much. As for 5 TP to 1 SP.. that kind of dumb. The old system was fine. You can get a lot of SP but then you can't really level up so it is a draw back. But who knows I'm sure there was something being abused so *shrug*.
