Weedle Eddie Bios 1-6

Eddie Starmie

Age; 16

Gender; Male

Hometown; Cinnabar Island, Kanto

Biography; Eddie is the grandson of notable cryptopokologists Oldman and Anna Starmie, better known by their pen names of Viridian Coffee and Anne Mewtruck. Descended from a long line of cryptopokologists, Eddie has had a passion for the field from a very young age. He has attempted a number of experiments to try and uncover more mysteries, and one of these, while not giving him the results he was after, nevertheless resulted in him catching his Voltorb. Deciding he wouldn't be able to learn all he could by staying on Cinnabar, he and his Voltorb set a course for the Fizzytopia region, a place known for many strange occurrences that may or may not be attributable to Pokémon like Missingno.

Personality; Eddie comes off as something of a nerd, and his constant adjustment of his glasses does nothing to dispel this impression. Whenever he is on the subject of cryptopokology, he speaks of it with fiery passion. and has nothing but reverence and respect for the kinds of Pokémon his studies involve. His respectful nature extends beyond this however- he is well mannered and tends to make a good first impression on anyone he meets. However, should anyone mistake these traits as signs of weakness and attempt to exploit them, they will realize that Eddie has a cunning side to him as well, a side that generally only comes out during battles when some out-of-the-box thinking may be necessary to seize victory.

Appearance; Eddie has neatly kept brown hair, and though they generally aren't seen behind his glasses, eyes to match. He stands at exactly 5'00'', generally wearing his usual purple shirt with the orange collar, a pair of beige pants, a pair of white shoes, and he carries an orange bag with him, generally containing a few notebooks, a tape recorder, and whatever supplies he deems necessary for wherever he's going and whatever he's doing.

Bio:
In his youth, one of Eddie's experiments entailed attempting to short out the circuitry of an old Poké Ball. Exactly what he was expecting from this even he doesn't recall; all he knows is that the intense electric current to which the ball was exposed caused it to become a Voltorb instead. Surprised with this result, Eddie befriended the Voltorb, and when he left Cinnabar, Gigawatt went with him as his starter. Gigawatt is very well-behaved, not unlike its Trainer. While it has the capacity to explode, it seldom, if ever, actually makes use of it. Like all Electrode, Gigawatt has the capacity to shrink and grow to a limited degree, shrinking himself down to the size of a full-sized Poké Ball, a remnant of the Poké Ball's capacity to be shrunk down to a more portable size. This has led to Eddie carrying Gigawatt itself in his hand rather than its Poké Ball.

Obtained: Cable Club (traded for by Keith); Sludge Wave Coast (given to Eddie)
Bio:
Hermione is decidedly unlike most Weedle- she is highly intelligent, knows way more moves than is usual for her kind, and does not wish to evolve. She has a talent for cooking, and quickly became the team's chef. Her cooking skills are nothing short of amazing, and her teammates always eagerly await mealtime thanks to her. She is inquisitive to a fault, and is quite learned on many subjects, to the point where an entire room of Keith's Secret Base was set aside as her own personal library. She takes notes by dipping her tail stinger in ink and using it as a pen, a practice which eventually permanently dyed her tail stinger black. Her love interest is Scorpius, even after his evolution into Drapion, the drastic size difference discouraging neither party. She gets along fairly well with most of her teammates, and those that underestimate her do not do so for very long- she shows a definite skill for battle, and continually strives to expand her list of attacks (a tricky feat for a Weedle, but she manages). Recently, however, Hermione has been wanting more of an intellectual challenge, and realized that assisting Eddie Starmie with his cryptopokology studies and experiments might be just the thing. To that end, she joined his team, and has cemented herself as his strongest Pokémon. Despite initial worries about what Gigawatt would think, the Voltorb has been very welcoming.

Battery
Species: Togedemaru (Height: 2'00"; )
Gender: Male
Level: 1
Type: Electric/Steel

Evolution:
Nature: Rash
Ability: Lightning Rod
Bond: 0
Cute stat: 0
Beauty stat: 0
Tough stat: 0
Smart stat: 0
Cool stat: 0
Obtained: Bolt Strike Pass (Global Trade Station)
Bio:
In an attempt to retrieve some important items that weren't delivered as intended, Eddie came across this Togedemaru in Bolt Strike Pass, protecting the fallen delivery Pelipper from lightning strikes. However, in doing so, the Togedemaru had taken in too much electricity and was losing control, forcing Eddie to battle it. Gigawatt unexpectedly went down in one hit, leading to Eddie realizing how powerful Hermione is, and upon defeating the Togedemaru, he caught it so it wouldn't risk the same issue again. Battery is a loyal, protective Pokémon, and can always be found happily frolicking outside when there are thunderstorms, in hopes of taking in lightning to power himself up. However, when attempting to protect others, he often puts himself in unnecessary danger, making it necessary for Eddie to intervene. They make a good team, constantly looking out for each other, and sometimes Battery will even lend a hand with Eddie's cryptopokology experiments, usually by helping to power various machines, though is usually forced to decline to do this in favor of Gigawatt, who is capable of generating much more electricity. Despite this, the two Electric-types are good friends, and Gigawatt has been seen providing Battery with some extra voltage when he's been feeling down.

Remy
Species: Drowzee ()
Gender: Male
Level: 9
Type: Psychic
Attacks: Pound, Hypnosis, Psychic, Drain Punch, Tri Attack, Disable, Confusion.

Nature: Jolly
Ability: Insomnia
Bond: 0
Cute stat: 0
Beauty stat: 0
Tough stat: 0
Smart stat: 0
Cool stat: 0
Obtained: Adoption Center
Bio:
A visit to the Adoption Center ended with Eddie almost getting hypnotized into adopting a Drowzee, saved only by his glasses and their special lenses that filtered the hypnotic waves. However, upon coming to realize Drowzee was only doing this out of loneliness and a desperate desire to have what other Trainer-owned Pokémon had, he took pity on the Drowzee and voluntarily adopted him anyway. Remy enjoys to exercise his hypnotic powers, but has nothing but good intentions behind them. Immensely grateful to Eddie for adopting him, he is intensely loyal to the aspiring cryptopokologist and will do his best to help him, whether with research, or a battle, or anything in between. He gets along fairly well with his teammates, even Gigawatt, despite the Voltorb's initial misgivings about him.

Homer

Cool stat: 0
Obtained: Spoonbend Cavern (Global Trade Station)
Bio:
A quest to help Remy perfect his Psychic move led Eddie to Spoonbend Cavern, where he encountered this powerful yet gluttonous Alakazam, who challenged them to battle. Though initially able to effortlessly repel all their attacks, Eddie was able to appeal to the Psychic-type's gluttonous nature, distracting him with a donut, landing a powerful Psychic, and ultimately catching him. Homer has a brilliant mind, but is easily distracted or coerced by the promise of food, especially donuts. He carries a fork and knife in place of his kind's trademark spoons, and while he does use them to focus psychic powers, he also uses them for eating. He tries to seem distant from the others, and has a bit of a sarcastic streak to him, but ultimately embraces his role as Remy's mentor, and is good friends with Hermione as well, appreciating the Weedle's above-average intellect. While he will generally never actively say so, he does respect Eddie as a Trainer.
