Bio: A couple of years after his operation, the forge Malcolm worked at began to experience a few occasional visits from some stray pokemon, which were deduced to have came from the eastern reaches of Unova to escape the freezing temperatures caused by the disasters. While rejected initially, these stray pokemon were over time befriended by the workers at the forge and helped with the general maintenance of the location in return for shelter. One of these strays was a Growlithe who took a shine to Malcolm, and within a few months were good friends.

When the request to head to KanJohto was delivered, Brontus suggested subtly that they take the Growlithe as an official starter pokemon to the superregion, on lieu that the canine's natural instincts could prove useful, to which Malcolm agreed. As it was, Brontus even gave him the name when the host drew a blank for one, with Tumeken, named after the Tei-Tumeken, legendary beasts which in his day were mythological figures that pulled the chariot of the sun across the sky.

Tumeken himself is, like many of his kind, strongly loyal to his owner, and through the few years he's known him learned when commands and orders come from Malcolm or Brontus, believing the latter to merely be a different voice put on by Malcolm as a personal quirk. The canine himself is surprisingly playful, even in serious situations, and this could be the same for his battling capabilities, which have yet to be tested.
Stale Water.

Unruly Premonition.
