Using high Fairy energy, Aeria summons a large, flaming meteor of Fairy energy from above her head, throwing it towards the foe, dealing high Fairy damage, with a 30% chance of burn. She loses Swagger and Hyper Beam, and no longer resists Bug, instead taking neutral damage from it.

Hidden Power: Flying
Signature Move: Cold Blaze
Mia leaps up high into the air akin to Bounce, covering herself with a cloak of blue flame, using significant Fire energy and minor Water energy. She comes down upon the foe, dealing heavy Fire damage, the intense cold giving a 30% chance to give a burn (though this works like a regular burn.) Mia has the type energy to use this move twice.

Bliss
: Female Togekiss
Hidden Power: Dark
Signature Move: Off To Bed! (GD)
Using significant Ground energy and minor typeless energy, Bliss crafts a ground-energy wall of force, blowing any loose objects such as stones backwards, and hitting the foe for significant Ground damage. This is essentially a Ground-typed Psychic, and it retains all the properties of the attack (it can even be nullified by Pursuit), except for the fact that it does Ground-typed damage, and has a 30% chance of causing drowsiness, which will quickly cause sleep if not treated. Bliss has the offtype to use this move twice.

Using significant Dark energy and minor typeless energy, Sheba crafts a dark-energy wall of force, blowing any loose objects such as stones backwards, and hitting the foe for significant Dark damage. This is essentially a Dark-typed Psychic, and it retains all the properties of the attack (it can even be nullified by Pursuit), except for the fact that it does Dark-typed damage, and has a 30% chance of poisoning. Sheba has the offtype to use this move twice from her current Dark-Energy pools.

Signature Move: Dirt Toss (GD)
Using significant Ground energy, Jenna throws a ball of sandy dirt directly above the foe, showering them in a lot of sand to deal Significant Ground damage, with a 30% chance to cause a burn on the face of the foe, due to the intense abrasions caused by sand pouring at high speeds. Jenna has the offtype to use this move twice.

Flora
: Female Florges
Hidden Power: Ground
Special Training : Sunblast (FI)
Flora now has unlimited Fire energy, losing almost all Grass energy in exchange, retaining enough to fuel two Solar Beams. She gains the moves Inferno, Heat Wave, Overheat, Will-o-Wisp and Mystical Fire. In addition, all her Grass-type attacks except Solar Beam become Fire-typed, gaining the appearance of flames, or getting coated in fire if it is physical, at the referee’s discretion (making them able to burn through certain objects and attacks as the only added effect, retaining all properties of said attacks, for example, Energy Ball’s chance to lower special defence.). She now loses Swagger, Round and Moonblast. She is now easily angered.

Murasaki - Female Venomoth (Level 5) [HP Fire]
Murasaki hails from the Friend Safari, daughter of a Savannah Vivillon and a Venomoth imported from Kanto. Her mother was caught soon after she was born, causing her to be raised by her Vivillon father, from which she learned a particular technique once unique to Vivillon - Powder. However, she managed to take it to a bit of an extreme, using her natural affinity with a number of powders to turn it even more volatile.
Signature Move - Volatile Powder (Bug)
Murasaki sprinkles an extremely volatile powder over her foe, which can catch fire with any contact with Fire moves. If the target uses a Fire move or is hit by one, the powder will explode, doing damage proportional to the damage of the attack used. If it touches an open flame, it will deal significant damage and fade. Volatile Powder uses significant energy and can only be used once per battle.

Spalding - Male Electivire (Level 5) [HP Ice]
Spalding's always been sort of an outlier on my squad. I've never really been a huge fan of the Electabuzz line, but out of the need for an Electric type, he filled the role quite well. He's been quite a few different things over the years, including Penn Jilette, Jake of Jake and Amir and even Zeus for a short while. As such, his personality has always been a bit hard to pin down, but he's always been pretty jolly though a little arrogant and confrontational. During his short-lived role as Zeus in my Seventeen Gym test run, he picked up a pretty good sig and he decided to stick with it.
Signature Move - Bolts of Zeus (Electric/Steel)
Zeus forms a bolt-shaped projectile from a good amount of Steel energy and then electrifies it with light Electric energy. The projectile is relatively solid, allowing it to easily break through Light Screen. Upon contact with the foe, it bursts into tiny shards and releases its charge, dealing good Electric damage and light Steel damage. These shards are rather thin and pointed, getting easily caught in skin, fur or hides, acting as conductors. If a Ground Pokémon has been stuck with these shards, they will take 75% damage from Electric attacks as the moves are channeled directly into their bodies. All additional modifiers for secondary types, SCs and sigs will calculate as normal.

Lirio - Male Ludicolo (Level 5) [HP Psychic]
Lirio is an exotic man from exotic lands, hailing from an oasis smack dab in the middle of the Mojave Desert. As a young Lombre, he lead a rough-and-tumble life, roaming the desert and protecting his turf from outsiders and scheming invaders. In his wild days, he was known as the "Hombre of the West", somewhat of a local legend among wary travelers who'd stumble upon the oasis only to get a face full of Bullet Seeds. For a long time, he went by this nickname, trying to maintain his outlaw image, but in recent years he's become much more open and jovial, even going so far as to open a Mexican tiki bar at his old watering hole. Now a days, he goes by his birthname, Juan Marcos Lirio Concepción Alverez, or just Lirio. Though his Wild West days are long over, he still has one trick up his sleeve that he's brought to the battlefield.
Signature Attack - Mexican Standoff (Grass)
Lirio waits for the foe to make a move, either moving from place to place or beginning to execute a technique, gathering a good amount of Grass energy while he waits. When they begin their move, he shoots a highly concentrated bullet of Grass energy at a vulnerable point which would cause their move to fail. Though the move only deals moderate damage, its targeting of a vulnerable point causes a great shock to the target, likely causing their move to fail. Since Lirio aims at a vulnerable spot, there is also a 50% chance that it will leave a sore spot behind, a la Crush Claw. This move can be used twice per battle.

Propaganda - Male Lickilicky (Level 5) [HP Flying]
Propaganda has been a staple of my team since my days as the Normal Gym Leader, once the head orator for Koi's short-lived world domination plot. Fluent - strangely - in Classical Latin and nothing else, he somehow manages to still have a way with words in spite of his gigantic tongue. He's still rather fond of giving speeches to just about anyone whether they'll listen or not, but his words are somehow strangely calming. Sometimes he can get a little bit caught up in his rambling rants, but their oddly relaxing nature means no one really complains.
Signature Move - Pontificate (Normal)
Propaganda begins to ramble on in his calming yet booming voice, pontificating in Latin about whatever topic interests him at the moment. These words, though totally incomprehensible to the average 'mon, are quite pacifying, discouraging any battling. For the next round (or the following round if the last attack used), all Pokemon, including himself, are restricted to non-damaging moves. Moves that cause slight damage or indirect damage are also barred from use (i.e. Future Sight, Toxic, Will-o-Wisp, etc.). Also, any Pokemon under the influence of Taunt/Swagger/in similar states that lock them from non-damaging moves will fall out of such state and will be unable to be Taunted or Swaggered as long as Pontificate is active. Pontificate can be used once per battle.

Fetra - Female Clefairy (Level 5) [HP Flying]
Fetra's days as a space Clefairy are far behind her. Nowadays, the insanity of the TO has set in on her. When she's not belting out songs in horrible Japanese, she's often skipping around, declaring everything to be dainty. In fact, she's obsessed with daintiness. All she ever talks about is dainty, it seems. It's all the rage. She's often subject to the side effects of Wacky Backy, however. Sometimes, she snaps out of her (mostly drug induced) daintiness to put Koi and Quark in their places, but never at the right time, and always when its needed least. Dainty.
Special Attack - Dainty Cyclone (Various)
Fetra's obsession with daintiness has gone so far for her to come up with an attack which, in her own high words, "is the epitome of daintiness." First, she starts by creating various petal-shaped masses of energy from any energy type to which she has access, which float around her. Next, she starts to spin and flap her wings. This sends the petals flying, surprisingly, right towards her foe. Each petal does light damage. Overall, the attack does about the damage of half a Hyper Beam, and has a 20% chance of causing confusion. Even with Fetra's intense daintiness, she still can't help but to get somewhat dizzy after she uses the attack, and must recover for about 5 seconds after the attack. The attack can only be used twice a battle, because anymore usages wouldn't be very "dainty". God. I don't think I've ever typed the word "dainty" that many times.

Ka-wai - Male Blastoise (Level 6) [HP Electric] @ Blastinite
Ka-wai is your typical tropical turtle. Hailing from the land of leis, volcanoes, and Lilo & Stitch, Ka-wai's Polynesian flavor and style and his astounding surfing ability draw in admirers of both genders like tourists to a gift store holding a half-off sale on all novelty "handcrafted driftwood" sculptures. Despite the assumptions by the various Japanese girls that he attracts with his surfing, his name does not, in fact, mean "cute" in Japanese. Actually, it means "water" in Hawaiian. If you suspect otherwise, you're either a Japanese girl or wish you were. Recently, he decided to leave his home of sun, sand and surf to have a go at competitive battling alongside me and my Motley Krew. Always toting his signature blue-tinted sunglasses, Ka-wai uses his surfing prowess and diverse moveset to send his opponents for a spin.
Signature Attack - Belly Flop (Water)
Ka-wai coats his chest with a layer of Water energy, charging, jumping and landing on his foe. This attack is effectively a Water-typed Double-Edge, using the same energy and dealing the same amount of damage, but deals slightly less recoil than Double-Edge due to Ka-wai's protective shell. However, his shell does not do well under repeated stress, and he can only use this attack once every five rounds.

Welcome all to this Fairy-tastic showdown between Machamp-X, who presumably is shooting for the Fairy-typed gym, and Jerichi, my very own self-proclaimed eternal rival. You know, it seems like it was just yesterday that-

Jeri grabs one of his balls confidently and releases what's trapped inside, a blinding white flash spewing forward to take the form of Lickilicky. Let's check the stats on this combatant.

Lickilicky (Normal): Lickilicky have long tongues, which can extend out to ten feet to hit enemies. Any attack a Lickilicky does with its tongue deals x1.2 damage, with a 10% chance of paralysis. Lickilicky's rotund bodies allow them to gain momentum through Rollout easier. Due to having a wide variety of energy available, it is less proficient at maximising the use, resulting in suffering from slightly less type energy.
[Normal]: Normal-type Pokémon are able to use support moves to greater effect than other Pokémon, with them being performed slightly quicker and being slightly more potent. Being beings of great balance, they benefit more from the positive effects of weather and other arena affecting moves, but will not suffer as badly from the negative effects. In the ASB, Normal-types take resisted damage from the damaging effects of Ghost-type energy.


Machamp-X, in return, releases her own Pokemon, the telling flash of light fading to reveal a very bouncy Clefable! The fairy looks quite happy to be here.

Clefable (Fairy): Clefable are a bit reclusive and naturally shy, so they don’t fight enthusiastically around large amounts of people and are easily intimidated. Clefable can jump high and far and can levitate, though not with much speed or agility. They can see in the dark. Due to having a wide variety of energy available, it is less proficient at maximizing the use, resulting in suffering from slightly less type energy.
[Fairy]: Fairy-types are generally pure-hearted and gregarious. They prefer natural environments and will fight more enthusiastically in them, but they will not be off put by urban environments. Any attack used by a Fairy-type which manipulates the environment is slightly more effective owing to the magical energies involved and attacks which boost allied Pokémon is slightly more effective at providing a buff. They are immune to the damaging effects of Dragon-typed energy.


Aeria bounces on her heels and flutters her wings happily, before settling into a deep concentration. Her body engulfed in a pale blue glow, she thrusts her arms forward, multicolored rings of psychic energy forming in front of her. An alien-like bubbling sound pervading the arena, the seven rings rip through the space separating the two battlers, slamming into Propaganda violently. The blue glow surrounding Clefable vanishes, as she regains her bearings from the strain of such an attack, while Propaganda clutches his head, suffering from an intense headache. By the gods, he could only pray that such agony would be forgotten soon after.

And that is exactly what he did, in fact, his sudden bout of Amnesia clearing his mind of the terrible disorientation he was suffering from. With his own psychic energies settling, Propaganda raises his head once more and stands in a seemingly more fortified position than before. Aeria giggles a bit, a wicked grin on her usually innocent-looking face, as she snaps her arm forward. From her fingertips, brilliant golden tendrils of electricity spew forth, seeking out their target and filling the arena with a menacing crackle. The tendrils tangle around Lickilicky, who despite his fortification, seems to tense and lock up a bit from paralysis.

Unhappy with his current predicament, Propaganda closes his eyes and relaxes his body, a salty substance slowly accumulating on his arms. Seemingly, smelling the salt has made him a bit more limber than immediately prior, as he springs forward and punches the Clefairy right in the face, causing the poor fairy to fall on her butt. I guess you could say that Propaganda was feeling a little salty over that last move. Pulling herself from the ground and shaking off the salty substance, Aeria refocuses on her opponent, preparing herself for the next bout of combat.


http://www.upnetwork.net/fb/sprites/pn009.gif: Propaganda took quite a nasty shot from that Psywave, and looks a little worse for wear. That paralysis is mostly gone, but he may suffer from a bit of sluggishness for the next round. He looks rather fresh, though. Aeria didn't get too banged up this round, but her Psychic reserves are feeling relatively drained, although she certainly has a bit more in the tank. She's feeling more tired than her opponent, but she is still fresh enough to continue normal operations.

To answer your question, terrain-affecting Rock type moves work normally here.

Amnesia did not go off in time. I factored in the fact that Clefable is fighting more enthusiastically in the arena, as well as initiative. Also, Amnesia does not seem to be a move that goes up instantly; I assume that it takes a bit of time to go off. fully. At best, Propaganda would have been midway through boosting when the Psywave struck.

Just wondering why Smellingsalts made contact despite Aeria levitating.

After the first attack, swoop low for a Drain Punch, let the momentum carry you higher. After the second attack, once again dive for a Drain Punch, ascending with the follow-through.

Propaganda, slowly shrugging off the bout of electrical paralysis he had suffered just a few moments ago, narrows his eyes at the pink fairy hovering a few feet in the air. Opening his maw wide, a brilliant orange ball of energy forms in front of him, his tongue swirling deftly around it. With a grunt of exertion, the glowing orb quickly destabilizes and bursts forth, the destructive beam ripping through the air in between the two combatants with a menacing crackle. Aeria is struck head on by Propaganda's assault, and cries out in pain. Glaring angrily at the now smug Lickilicky and regaining her bearings, Aeria rushes at the tongued behemoth, energy swirling around her fist. Making eye contact with Propaganda, the fairy could not help but smirk as she slams her fist directly into his face, a very slight bruise immediately forming on his cheek where he was struck.

Propaganda recoils in intense pain from the focused attack, while the Clefable a few feet away from him seems to look far better off than she had only a few moments ago. He digs his heels into the dirt and seems to inflate ever so slightly, right before he once again opens his maw, this time a pressurized torrent of water spewing forth with great speed. The rush of water strikes Aeria dead center, Propaganda now mildly satisfied with the revenge he wrought on her. Aeria shakes some of the water droplets clinging to her coat from her body, growling a little at the Lickilicky, before smiling gleefully as her previously unused fist quickly becomes covered with the same swirling energy as before. Propaganda's eyes widen slightly before shutting tightly in another bout of intense pain, as the Clefable punches him in the gut. Aeria follows through with the strike, re-stabilizing her aerial position. Propaganda quickly regains his bearings, noting grimly that the fairy once more seems to be revitalized.

Propaganda, on the other hand, has taken a nasty beating; he has quite a bit of footing to regain. On the upside, any trace of paralysis is long, long gone. Both combatants are panting a little, although neither close to exhaustion. Aeria's fighting energy, while not entirely gone, is looking quite sparse. Aeria isn't too far from Propaganda, and hovers just a few feet in the air.

@Machamp: Yes, Aeria was levitating, but that alone doesn't grant anything close to immunity from ground-originating contact moves. Aeria was well within reasonable reach of Propaganda's attack.

Raising her dainty hands toward the sky above, Aeria glows a dim pink as she focuses intensely, wisps of energy twisting together and coalescing into a spherical mass of fey-fire right over her head. Propaganda, his eyes widening ever so slightly as the fairy pulls together her sure to be devastating assault, opens his maw and releases a terrible, tinny scream. The high-frequency sound-waves pierce the quiet hum of the growing fireball and lay waste to Clefable's concentration. Aeria clutches her delicate ears and staggers back, recoiling from the intense pain, as the meteor above her disperses harmlessly. She appears visibly dazed, and seems to be having a slightly difficult time retaining aerial stability.

Propaganda smirks at his foe's dazed state and digs his feet into the ground, his midsection swelling ever so slightly. Opening wide, the Lickilicky regurgitates a sickly purple colored disgusting mass of toxic material, a horrifyingly loud belch accompanying its release. The bubble rockets, with surprisingly high speed, toward Aeria, who somewhat notices the putrid odor and the utterly revolting goo approaching her, but is still too far gone to appropriately react. As it slams into her, the poor Clefairy screams in unadulterated agony, the virulent matter sinking into her skin and wreaking havoc on her body. Aeria growls softly in anger, now glaring daggers at the smug Propaganda.

He is panting a bit though, and will likely need some form of break sooner than later if he continues to battle at his current pace. Aeria finds herself for the most part refreshed, and that last strike completely shocked her out of confusion. Propaganda's Poison reserves are looking strained, but not depleted.
