Round 7: Suddenly, Charge makes a difference!
ROUND. ROUND EVERYWHERE. I think I know how Blaze might feel now. No, probably not.

Hanging on to the thin sliver of stamina left within, Ion prepares for the final curtain. Seeing Jordan take a deep breath, Ion too begins getting ready to cause a racket! The Hearing Pokemon allows his vocal cords to swell with energy, releasing an echoing tune infused with rainbow light! Going for a sound choice of a counter, Ion causes Jordan's sensitive hearing to go haywire with a noisy buzzing noise! As the tactician tries to steel his nerves again, he finds his musical volley overwhelmed by the louder and stronger cacophony, Jordan's body slammed by a set of azure rings! Coughing a bit, the Audino works up his throat once more, another assault ringing out as Ion tries to lock Jordan down! Supercharged wisps of electricity zip across the field, courtesy of Ion's charged state of being, slowly numbing Jordan's body as they bind him! His final task done for now, Ion succumbs to the sounds of defeat with Jordan paralysed for what I believe is the second time…

Ion is unable to battle! Next Pokemon please, Rotomotorz!

Jordan's a bit more scuffed up now, and should get a break now. Although he might get just that, being paralysed and all.

Bug Buzz and Supersonic. Make their ears bleed

Kindrindra 12-15-2014 05:31 PM

"Once Bug Buzz finishes,Ice Beam, aiming for the wing. Just take Supersonic, there's not much of a counter against that."

KamenAeons 12-16-2014 07:33 AM

His good friend out of the battle now, Roto pulls out another PokeBall, a rather spiffy looking one that glistens in the light of the field. Perhaps it belongs to a rather modern Pokemon... As Jordan looks up, he sees the form of a Vivillon emerge from the beam, her dazzling display of red splotched with blue and yellow unfurling as Karma enters the battle!

Vivillon (Bug/Flying): Vivillon's wings come in a number of patterns, depending on the environment in which the bug developed. Some patterns are bright and ostentatious while others are muted and more suited for camouflage. If their wings are an appropriate pattern for the environment of the battle, they can hide themselves, making them much more difficult to spot.
Karma's wings begin to glow a shining sheen of red as she flaps, perhaps the colour of Jordan's blood as she begins picking up speed! Crimson waves of sound erupt from her wings, the buzzing of air rushing between the projectiles causing Jordan to try protect his ears in vain, arms locked in paralysis! The torrent of noise washes over the Audino, stripping away some of his resistance to special attacks with it as the tactician grits his teeth! With that over, feeling returns to Jordan's limbs, a turquoise orb of light glowing in his palms as he returns fire at Karma! The twist of fate strikes through Karma with an icy shock, her right wing being coated in a thin layer of ice! As the Vivillon drops lower to the ground, she lets out a scream that causes Jordan to buckle to the floor, his ears unable to cope with the loudness and the high frequency of the waves! Everything in his mind begins to collapse like a Jenga tower just too unstable to stand, his thoughts and tactics now a confusing jumble...

Jordan's severely confused now, and his health situation is looking a bit dire. Karma on the other hand got hit by an ice cream truck, with her mobility rather restricted as well. Both are good for two though. Ice is at half for Jordan.

Kindrindra 12-22-2014 08:10 PM

Oh I hadn't ordered yet?

"Time for a change of pace. Ice Beam his other wing once you can think straight again, then call down the power of Thunder for great justice."

rotomotorz 12-22-2014 09:09 PM

Lets Roost for now

KamenAeons 12-24-2014 10:41 AM

Round 9: Can I get a rest, Santa?
As Jordan tries to figure out the logic in his orders, Karma lands on the middle ring of the arena, a bit below the Audino's line of sight! Resting her aching wings, she begins to heal the truckload of dama- actually, no, that's actually a terrible thing to say given what's happened recently. Erm. A catload of damage! That sounds perfect. Purrfect. *shot* Anyway, Karma starts reversing the catloads of damage that she received on her entry round, all while Jordan tries to think cool thoughts! Ah, it seems he has a brain freeze now. I didn't even know that was possible without something chilled and icy. *shrug*

Karma continues restoring her health as the round draws on, Jordan trying to call on the power of Thor to do his bidding. Unfortunately, that confusion's ridiculously severe, and the round ends with Kin being dragged off by a horde of wild Christmas shoppers. He'll be back soon. Maybe.

Karma's healed a fair amount by now, energy use a bit high, but manageable. Karma's used up her healing move for the match-up, while Jordan's silly fresh. And just plain silly. Oh, he slipped on a cordless phone someone left behind.

rotomotorz 12-24-2014 12:01 PM

Light Screen, then do the Bug buzz thing

Kindrindra 12-31-2014 12:45 PM

"Ice Punch right on through and into the unfrozen wing after the bug buzz. Then you can pump him full of Thunder~"

KamenAeons 01-01-2015 05:44 AM

Round 10: KRACOW
As Karma wraps up her healing technique, she conjures a screen of light to come to her aid! Glistening gold, this measure is perfect for defending against special techniques! Not that she needs to worry about it for the time being! Taking flight, the Vivillon still can't get too high due to her partially iced up wings, but she's able to hover up to the next tier of the three storey stage just enough to assault Jordan's ears! A flurry of red shockwaves pour forth from Karma's wings along with a loud buzzing noise, rattling the Audino out of his confused state of mind as he winces in pain! As his ears continue to ring, Jordan tries to make sense of his current predicament, a screen barring access via special attacks being the key obstacle here. Clearly the best offense is to just rush down the silly bug, which is exactly what Jordan does! Charging forward, the Unovan pulls back his fist, charging it up with an icy aura as he breaks through the fragile pane of light! Stomping down, Jordan lets out a battle cry as he swings, the frigid fist crashing down into Karma's wing as the bug yelps in pain, her left wing freezing up under a layer of thin ice as Jordan immediately charges up a surge of crackling lightning shoots skyward! And then we all remember the problem with being nearby when a Thunder attack strikes, with the screams of Karma and Jordan ringing out across the arena before the electricity fades.

Karma's wings flap weakly as she attempts to rise again, the ice having melted away from the sheer heat of the electricity, but the more surprising thing is Jordan's fallen body, having been taught why you should never use Thunder in melee range.

Jordan is unable to battle! Kindrindra, your next Pokemon please!

Karma's hovering about the midpoint now, and could do with a break soon, especially after expending a lot of energy healing in the last round. Psychic is just at half tanks.

Kindrindra 01-05-2015 02:58 PM

"Well, I guess that's one way to go out with a bang.

Spike, you're up! Use your head-thing to grab onto his wing with Fire Fang, not letting go, then smash him into the concrete with Strength! Try to do it so that you're standing on top of them with their wing grasped in your headjaw when the move completes."

rotomotorz 01-05-2015 04:14 PM

Buzz them a Supersonic, then U-turn the ground the hell out of there to Dim

KamenAeons 01-07-2015 10:41 AM

So, the odds have been brought closer to equilibrium again as Kin recalls his Audino! The brave tactician having fought hard, there is only one follow up act that must follow! Whether he likes it or not, Spike gets dragged into the battle, the Mawile letting out a frustrated sigh as he puts aside his book for later.

Mawile (Steel/Fairy): Mawile's metal jaws are very strong and exceptionally difficult to force open. Attacks involved with them are 1.2x stronger then normal. Their techniques that are based on cuteness (such as Charm, Attract, Sweet Kiss, etc) are slightly more effective. Mawile can see in the dark.
The lone fairy lunges forward before swinging his jaws around with a smooth headtilting motion, flames rolling on Spike's fangs before they clamp down onto Karma's wings! Man, karma is being such a bitch to Karma, isn't it? Damn teeth sink in like how a bug goes splat on a speeding car's windscreen, but on the plus side, no sizzling burns for the Vivillon. No status is always nice if you're on the receiving end of pain. And while I was busy rambling, Karma was busy screaming in pain and letting out a supersonic stream of sound! If that was painful from a distance, just imagine what it did to Spike! Or you can just take a look at his derpy face as he shakes out the ringing sound in his ears, absent-mindedly loosening his grip on his prey, for lack of a better term, as he does so! In a panic, Karma flaps desperately away from the Mawile, before spiralling into the ground with a green glow of energy, vanishing back into her Poke Ball on impact with the stage!

Roto fumbles Karma's Poke Ball for a brief moment before whipping out a another Poke Ball, slightly spookier looking than the ones before it! Casting it to the centre of the arena, dull spectral flames emerge with a black mass unfurling to reveal a Chandelure, Dim! A spiffy looking token of flames sparkles faintly on her being as well, promising the future of a world IN FLAMES!

Chandelure (Ghost/Fire): Chandelure's flames are made from a ghostly fire which only sheds light when it desires. Though this light can be used to illuminate dark spaces for long periods of time, it can also be turned off so that, despite still burning, it does not illuminate anything. Chandelure can levitate. Their arms, despite seeming solid, are actually relatively moveable and prehensile. Chandelure are generally solid, with the exception of their flame which counts as ethereal. They can phase temporarily into the ethereal state to lessen damage from moves. Chandelure's special attacks deal slightly more damage than those of other Pokémon.

The Firebreather’s Token burns brightly with the dazzling light of liberty and freedom. It can be attached to Fire-type Pokémon only and greatly enhances their offensive abilities. The wearer’s Fire-type moves will burn hotter than usual and cause small amounts of splash damage as they erupt upon the target, the violent explosions spreading shock and awe in the immediate area. Fire-type moves which have a secondary effect such as burning or item destruction are twice as likely to have the effect triggered when used by the wearer, these effects also being slightly more potent. This item causes the move Fling to deal Fire-type damage if it is thrown. This token may be purchased during the week long Independence Day event and may be purchased up to one time per trainer.
A new challenger enters the battle! Dim's rather fresh, although Karma's pains are sort of in her mind! Karma got hit by a truckload of damage, but will be recovering energy as she recuperates. Spike's... rather confused but fresh and untouched! Fire is probably above the midpoint.

rotomotorz 01-07-2015 03:40 PM

Wait Chandelure is Level 4 why do I not know this I'm dumb

Hilariously Inferno, then Flamethrower. Burn them to the ground

Kindrindra 01-07-2015 07:15 PM

"Ha, your every move is already known to me!

Switching out to Krystal!

Krystal, lead with Ominous Wind and follow with Dark Pulse. If the switch is somehow prevented, Spike should give them a double dose of Crunch instead.

Roto, you'll be needing a reorder, I believe? :3"

KamenAeons 01-07-2015 07:20 PM

Roto indeed gets to reorder!

Can he stop the NOPENOPENOPING OUT?!

rotomotorz 01-07-2015 07:28 PM

Defensive moves are for chumps

Greet their switch with a massive Inferno, then follow with an Overheat

KamenAeons 01-09-2015 09:15 AM

Round 12: Absolute firepower! Danmaku's all about power ぜ~☆!
Deciding that a Fire-type fighting against his Steel-type Mawile is not the best thing to have, Kin quickly recalls Spike to his Poke Ball! As his third Pokemon is cast into the fray, Dim's already midway through firing off her attack, timed to hit just when the newcomer least expects it! The purple shadows coalesce, revealing the form of a gremlin whose eyes have been transformed into gems! Unfortunately for Krystal, she's not gonna be able to move out of the way when the super intense flames are pretty much an arm's length away. Cue screeching banshee wails and lots of sizzling. As the flames die down, the damage is clear, with Krystal's face bearing a comedic charred coating on it as you'd see from say Ash's Charizard roasting him. That's probably going to cause problems in the future. Anyhoo, little too much sunburn isn't going to dampen her spirit, the soulsmith proceeds to slice the air around her, ghastly swells of wind bursting forth and washing over Dim's body, causing her arms to creak in pain! Her body flares up, her core radiating a vast purple flame as she takes on a menacing blue glow! The crackle of her inner flame tells all as Dim burns twice as bright! Staggering backwards from the heat, Krystal remembers that flame on her entrance, not really the coolest thing to come into! Her instincts, run from that fire. Run like no tomorrow. But it is all for naught as the Chandelure lets out a droning whine! Within moments, the flames erupt from her entire being, a massive blast roaring forth and consuming Krystal's wispy stature! If not razed by the power of love, this is simply a display of how something can be reduced to ash by magical gunfire! Thoroughly roasted, Krystal decides that she needs to return the pain, chugging darkness into her fists before slamming them together! A gurgling sound emerges from the resultant black mass, streaming forth and striking Dim's core for a ton of damage as the round closes off!

Dim's incredibly tired now right off the bat, but she's kept herself neck and neck with Krystal! Her inner flame will require some time to restore itself to its former glory, but that assault has done a good number on Krystal, that burn being a precursor for more pain in the future!

rotomotorz 01-09-2015 03:41 PM

Now is the time when Karma comes out to play. Bug Buzz a bit, then Sleep Powder

Dim if you can't switch punish them with a Confuse Ray

Kindrindra 01-09-2015 04:15 PM

Greet them with a Power Gem as they come out, then a second Power Gem after the Bug Buzz~"

KamenAeons 01-11-2015 10:29 AM

Deciding it's now time to nope the heck out, Roto plays the switch game once more! Returning the exhausted Chandelure for the time being, the young trainer sends Karma back into the fray! And Karma gets a dose of bad karma as a glistening chunk of rock rockets into her! Fun fact: Some people believe that a dodecahedron is an example of sacred geometry or something. Weird. Thoroughly battered, the Vivillon struggles to move her body off the ground, teetering in and out of the reaches of consciousness. Her wings flap as fast as they can, generating another buzzing annoyance that has Krystal reach for her ears! Her burnt ears. With pain coming either way, the soundwaves wash over her, tearing around a fragment of her special defense as the Sableye conjures up another crystal of stone, poised to just decimate the ailing bug.

Karma is unable to battle! Your next Pokemon please, Rotomotorz!

Dim enjoyed her break in her Poke Ball so far. Fire's still not back up to speed though, but yeah, she's feeling fresher than before. Krystal has a special defense debuff, which is always not so good, and energy use was a tad intensive. She'd like a breather, but doesn't absolutely need one yet. Rock is fresh out though. Spike's just sitting in his Poke Ball, reading stuff.

rotomotorz 01-11-2015 11:52 AM

...that was probably why I dropped Vivillon

Security, come out and play! Blind them early with a Dazzling Gleam, then give them a nice Fairy Wind because where are your other moves

Kindrindra 01-11-2015 12:39 PM

"Time for an assist!

Protect yourself from the Dazzling Gleam, then set up the Mist of Souls after the Fairy Wind!"
