Robin's Secret Base and Beyond
As you're traveling in Fizzytopia, you may just come across a long road leading to a small village known as Isshin. If you were to follow this path, you could find a small staircase leading down to a beautiful beach.
As you follow along the warm, sandy beach, one will eventually come across a rather large rock sticking out of the cliff side. If you were to think this was a regular cave, you'd be mistaken, for this is actually home to a certain Electric type specialist.

Floor 1

Carved into the rock is a small wooden door. Upon entering it, you will find yourself in the living room of Robin's secret base. To either side of the door is a large potted plant. Staring directly at the entrance to the base is a large Wailmer beanbag chair, which seems quite comfy by the looks of it.
Throughout the room there are several small windows, that give you a nice view of Sunabā Beach.
Turning to the right, you'll find a large table, with four chairs neatly tucked beside it. This is usually where Robin and her Pokemon eat, but it can sometimes be used for other activities.
Turning to your left, you'll notice two large couches, with a wide table resting in front of them. On the wall is a flat screen TV, perfect for watching a show, or even a favorite movie.
Nestled in the bottom left corner of the room is a warp panel, which will take you directly to the kitchen, should you step on it.
Tucked in the top left corner of the room is a PC and healing station. Guests are free to use either if they're so inclined. In the top right corner of the room is a stairway leading deeper into the base. Beside it is an elevator, in case that's your preferred method of travel.

Basement Floor 1

Upon reaching the basement, you'll be greet by the sight of a hallway. If you follow it, you'll soon find a set of twin doors on your right. Inside the room you can find an assortment of games, including two arcade machines.
Beside the TV is a blue shelf, which holds more Game Cube games then you can think of.
If you couldn't guess by now, this is where Robin and her Pokemon usually hang out to relax and unwind. Guests are welcome to play in the room, if they so choose.

If you continue down the hallway, you'll eventually find another set of twin doors. Inside the room is two large, black beds, with a bookcase separating them.
In one corner of the room is a red settee and table. Usually you can find a board game or snack lying on the table, probably from one of Robin's Pokemon refusing to clean up.
When company is staying over, this room is used as a guest room.

Continuing to the end of the hall leads to a dead end. Maybe something will be put here later....

Basement Floor 2

As you descend into the second basement floor you'll find yourself in another hallway.

Straight ahead is the battle room, which is where trainers can participate in friendly matches. There's an elevated platform on either side of the room, where trainers can stand and give orders to their Pokemon.
On the sidelines of the battlefield rests a healing station, PC, as well as four sofas to ensure maximum comfort for any spectators. Dividing the battlefield and sidelines is a sturdy wooden fence, in order to keep anyone watching the battle a little bit safer.
The ceiling in this room is much higher then in the other rooms, and can contain Pokemon up to the height of a Steelix. (Anything taller is unfortunately banned from this room.)

If you instead take the door to the left, you'll find yourself in the kitchen. Often you can find Tessa and Cayenne working in here, happy to prepare a delicious meal for anyone who happens to be over.
In the top left corner of the kitchen is a warp panel, allowing people and Pokemon to travel from the living room to the kitchen in the blink of an eye.

The south portion of the kitchen contains two large, black tables, which can comfortably seat eight, should anyone prefer to eat here.

If you instead turn right down the hallway, you'll eventually come across two doors. The door on the left is the entrance to Robin's room.
Robin's room is usually closed off to guests, unless they are given her permission. In the top left corner of the room is a fluffy double bed, with a black bookcase to the right of it. On the bookcase rests a Mudkip and Pikachu plush.
In the bottom corner is a black lounger, as well as a small table. Resting on the wall in front of it is a flat screen TV. Near the entrance of the room is Robin's computer, which she sometimes uses for research or the occasional game.

In the room behind the right door is a large indoor pool. The pool has a good amount of space in it, and should be able to fit most aquatic Pokemon. A few exceptions include Wailord, Gyarados and Milotic. If you're not up for taking a swim, this room also provides plenty of seating, should you wish to watch.

Beyond The Base
Besides Robin's base, there are a few other places you and your Pokemon can explore, if you so choose. Keep in mind that these areas have their own set of restrictions.

Currently available:

Sunabā Beach

A sandy beach to the west of Isshin Village. Here you and your Pokemon are free to build sandcastles, or even take a dip in the refreshing ocean. Throughout the beach, there are several signs, warning visitors not to grab any shovels they find in the sand. Several large logs can be found along the shore, which people and Pokemon can use to rest on, should they need a quick break. Several Wingull can usually be seen soaring above.
It's advised not to feed them, for reasons currently unknown.
Spoiler: show
1.) When at Sunabā Beach, make sure to use wheat coloured text, or otherwise label any part of your post that you are here.
2.) Much like inside Robin's base, you can bring as much Pokemon as you wish.
3.) Have fun.

*More areas to be added later.*

Story 1 Part 1: (2013)

Spoiler: show
Keith had been to the Cloud Garden once before, though that was for an adventure. This time, he was here to visit a friend. He walked up to the large oak tree, and saw the rope ladder which led up to the house.

"Vee?" questioned the furry brown Pokemon in Keith's arms.

"Yeah, this is the place, Cyanide," Keith nodded in response to his Eevee. "OK, I think I'm gonna need to put you back in your Poke Ball for now, just till we get to the top. Can't really hold you and climb the rope ladder at the same time, y'know?"

"Eevee!" exclaimed Cyanide, shaking her head vigorously. She reached down and slapped the button of a Poke Ball on Keith's belt with her paw, and in a flash of light, a Crobat was unleashed.

Keith chuckled, getting the idea. "OK, Hedwig, Fly us up to the top of this ladder."

"Cro," replied the Crobat as her tiny feet gripped Keith's shoulders. Then, with much flapping of her four wings, Hedwig lifted her trainer into the air, bringing him up to where the door for the base was in the first place. As she gently placed him down, Keith knocked on the door, hoping that Jake would be in.

After the final floor board was nailed in Jake and Telpo finally relaxed. Can't wait till my order get's through then we could lie on a bed instead of the floor. Said Jake to Telpo. I assume our schedules and the shop owners schedules don't line up master. Said Telpo completely seriously. Jake laughed before looking around his newly built base. Bubbles was wandering around the base thinking of her next scheme, while Sparky and Pom were exchanging battle plans. The base may have been a bit small but Jake and his Pokemon didn't mind to much. But just as Jake was about to doze of on the floor he heard a knock at the door. Jake got up and answered the door. It was Kieth. Welcome Kieth come on in. Said Jake holding open the door. As Kieth walked in Telpo, Sparky and Pom all waved in a friendly matter. Sorry about the lack of a chair Kieth my order at the base shop hasn't gotten through yet. Said Jake apologetically. Just then Bubbles walked in from the main room and saw Cyanide. Sorry hold on Keith don't want another fight said Jake before walking over to Bubbles and whispered something to her. Bubbles if you are nice and don't bug Cyanide while she's over I'll give you some extra lunch for 3 days. Bubbles shook her head before making a cough it up symbol with one of her pinchers to show that she needed more of a reward. Fine how about a week? Asked Jake to which Bubbles nodded. That was enough of a reward for her. Jake walked back to Keith. Sorry about that. Said Jake still eyeing Bubbles. I got some apples if your hungry, Pom picked them just this morning. Said Jake offering one to Keith
Jake opened the door, letting Keith, Cyanide, and Hedwig in, and promptly apologized for the lack of furniture. "Not a problem," Keith smiled. At that point, Jake caught sight of Cyanide and hurriedly whispered something to his Corphish. Judging by Bubbles's gestures, it seemed as though Jake was bribing her to not antagonize Cyanide. Keith set the Eevee down on the floor, and she walked over to Sparky and Pom, making a point of not looking at Bubbles.

"So, what's up?" said Cyanide as she approached the Joltik and Aipom.

Meanwhile, Jake offered Keith an apple, which he graciously accepted. "Thanks," Keith said. "Oh, yeah, I don't think you met Hedwig yet," Keith added, gesturing to the Crobat behind him. "Hedwig, my friend Jake. Jake, my Crobat Hedwig."

As Cyanide walked up to Sparky and Pom, Bubbles felt great temptation to lash out at her. She quickly shook the temptation and walked to Jake before jumping into his arms, taking another apple from Jakes hand and climbed down the base and hide in the mailbox. She likes to do that alot said Jake. Kieth then introduced Jake to his Crobat,Hedwig. Nice to meet you Hedwig! Said Jake before turning to Kieth. I take it Hedwig flew you here? Asked Jake. Wish I had a flying type......said Jake. Though Telpo can teleport me across short distants it makes him very tired. Jake then called for Telpo to come meet Hedwig. "Hello Hedwig how are you?" Said Telpo to Hedwig via telepathy.
Meanwhile Cyanide walked up to Pom and Sparky and greeting them with a what's up? Nothing much said Sparky. Right now we're exchanging battle tips right now but in a second we are going to play cards want to join? Asked Pom.

Keith watched as Bubbles swiped one of Jake's apples and went to hide in the mailbox. Jake explained that she likes to do that a lot. Keith wasn't sure what to say to that, but the subject changed rather quickly to Hedwig. "Hedwig actually just flew me from the ground up to here," Keith said. "I walked most of the way here myself. Hell, I'd have climbed the rope ladder myself, except Cyanide didn't want to go back in her Poke Ball." Jake explained that Telpo could take him short distances with Teleport, though this would tire him out. Keith nodded. "My Qwilfish actually knows Teleport, he's taken me short distances with it before. I actually brought four of my other Pokemon with me, I might as well let them out," he added as he produced four more Poke Balls (well, three regular Poke Balls and one Rocket Ball) and threw them into the air. "Nagini, Six, Strychnine, Gemini, come on out!" he exclaimed.

In four flashes of light, four more Pokemon appeared- an Arbok, a Foongus, a Grimer, and a Weezing. Keith gently scooped the Foongus into his arms. "OK, Six, this here is Jake, and this is Telpo," he said in a soft voice. "Say hi."

"Um... Uh... Hi," Six squeaked nervously.

"He's still just a baby," Keith explained to Jake. "Very shy around others, but I'm trying to help him with that."

Meanwhile, Hedwig was somewhat surprised to hear Telpo communicating with her telepathically. "I'm fine, thanks," she replied to the Abra. "You're Telpo, right? Nice to meet you."

"So this is Nagini," Keith said to Jake, pointing at the Arbok. "She's the first Pokemon I ever caught in Fizzytopia. That there is Strychnine," he added, pointing at the Grimer. "I caught her on Venom Island, in the Cascadia archipelago. And this," he said as he patted the Weezing on the back of the larger head, "is Gemini. My very first Pokemon. I caught him back when I lived in the Hoenn region, back when they were just a baby Koffing."

Once the introductions were over, Nagini slithered over to where Cyanide, Sparky, and Pom were. "Hello," she said politely to Sparky and Pom. "My name's Nagini. Cyanide, who are your friends?"

"Oh, yeah, that's Pom, and that's Sparky," Cyanide replied, nodding at the Aipom and the Joltik, respectively. "Pom, Sparky, this is Nagini."

"It's a pleasure to meet the both of you," the Arbok smiled.

"So we're gonna play cards, you said?" Cyanide asked. "Sounds alright to me."

As Kieth was explaining how he walked most of the way and only flew instead of climbing the ladder because of Cyanide there was a knock at the door. As Jake opened the door there was delivery man with 6 Machamp holding onto a table and chairs,a bed,a mat and a huge Wailmer doll at the ground. Jake told everyone that his stuff was here before asking Pom and Telpo for some help. Telpo can you lift that table and mat into the base? Asked Jake. Why not master? Asked Telpo before using his telekinesis to put the mat by the front door and table in the main room. Alright I got this chair guys you can go back. Said Jake to Telpo and Pom. Meanwhile Bubbles was waiting until just the right moment to scare Jake out of his wit's. As Jake passed the mailbox Bubbles lept out and tackled Jake sending the chair flying. Bubbles! Yelled Jake before trying to catch the falling chair. Luckily Pom was watching the whole time and managed to catch the chair. Thanks Pom said Jake. Patting Pom on the head before taking the chair and climbing back into the base. Sorry about that said Jake to Keith before offering him a seat at the new table. Before long the conversation picked up again as Kieth was telling Jake about how his Quilfish knew teleport. That's amazing! Said Jake. How did you teach it teleport? I thought Quilfish couldn't learn teleport. Asked Jake in amazement. Anyway did you just bring Hedwig and Cyanide? Asked Jake hoping Kieth brought some cool pokemon. I actually brought four of my other pokemon with me said Kieth before throwing four pokeballs into the air before saying Nagini, Six, Stychnine Gemini come out! In four flashes four pokemon appeared. An Arbok, a Foongus, a Grimer, and a Weezing. All poison types thought Jake. I know I told Sparky that there would be a few I didn't expect Kieth to bring five thought Jake hoping Sparky would be ok. Kieth gently scooped up the Foongus into his arms. Ok Six this here is Jake and this is Telpo. Kieth said in a soft voice. Say hi. Um....Uh....Hi, Six squeaked nervously. Kieth then explained that Six was just a baby. He's adorable said Jake before greeting Six with a hello! Back to him. Kieth then introduced Jake to the rest of his pokemon. And this is Gemini. My first Pokemon. I caught him in Hoenn were I used to live. Said Kieth. You usedto live in the Hoenn region? I heard it's very warm there. I used to live in the Unova region before I came here said Jake. Meanwhile in the other room Nagini slithered over to where Cyanide, Sparky, and Pom were. "Hello," she said politely to Sparky and Pom. "My name's Nagini. Cyanide, who are your friends?" Sparky was freaking out inside but tried his best to hide it. "Oh, yeah, that's Pom, and that's Sparky," Cyanide replied, nodding at the Aipom and the Joltik, respectively. "Pom, Sparky, this is Nagini." It's a pleasure to meet the both of you," the Arbok smiled.
Just then Sparky lost it and dashed towards the new bed before hiding in it shivering with fear. Sorry about that Nagini said Pom. Sparky is afraid of poison types after Jake my trainers dad killed his family with poisons said Pom. He does that to almost every Poison type said Pom before running toward the bed. Sparky come on out theres nothing to be afraid of said Pom concerned. Go away! Said Sparky No i'm here to help you Sparky said Pom. I SAID GO AWAY said Sparky who then jumped off the bed and tied Pom up with a string shot.

Keith's conversation with Jake was somewhat interrupted by the delivery of his furniture, which involved a close call involving Bubbles and one of the chairs. Luckily, Pom was able to catch the chair before it hit the floor. Cyanide watched this happen, and found herself slightly impressed that the Aipom had the speed and strength to catch the chair in time.

As Jake responded in amazement to the revelation that Keith's Qwilfish could use Teleport, Keith grinned. "Back when I first became a trainer, TMs worked a little differently around here- they could work on any Pokemon at all, even if it made no sense for the Pokemon to learn the move. Nagini here knows BubbleBeam, Hedwig can use Thunder, and my Qwilfish... Oh, Hebenon's got a very wide variety of moves. Thunderbolt, Flamethrower, Psywave, even Dark Void, and much, much more."

Six seemed to relax slightly as Jake declared the Foongus to be adorable and said "hello" to him.

Over with Cyanide, Pom, and Sparky, Nagini's polite and friendly greeting resulted in the Joltik hiding in the bed, shivering in fear. As Pom explained that Sparky was afraid of Poison-types, Nagini looked upset. "That's awful," she whispered as the Aipom revealed the reason behind the fear. "Reminds me of a Nincada I know, actually," she added. "She was deathly afraid of all snakes, but I helped her to overcome that fear. At least, somewhat. She's still wary around snakes she's never met before, but she and I are friends now. Still, I suppose it's fortunate Keith didn't bring his Seviper- he's not so friendly, I'm not sure Sparky would like him much. Hey, you know what?" Nagini said. "I think Sparky needs to meet a Poison-type his own size, one that won't be so intimidating to him. I know just the one, too." She slithered over to Keith and gave him a look.

"Hmm? What is it, Nagini?" asked Keith.

In response, the Arbok carefully let out a weak BubbleBeam, the few bubbles of which took the shape of a Weedle in midair before popping. Keith nodded his understanding of this, and pressed a few buttons on his Pokedex, which caused a Poke Ball to materialize in his hand. "OK, Hermione, come on out!" Keith said as he opened the ball, unleashing a Weedle into the room.

"Hermione," Nagini greeted the Weedle, "Could you help me out? There's a Joltik over there, and he's terrified of Poison-types, and-"

"And you figured that it would be good for him to meet a Poison-type closer to his own size," nodded Hermione.

"Exactly," said Nagini.

The Weedle crawled over to the bed and climbed up on top of it to where Sparky was. "Hello," Hermione said to the Joltik. "My name's Hermione. You're Sparky, right? It's nice to meet you."

Meanwhile, Cyanide approached Pom, who had been tied up with Sparky's String Shot. "Need help with that?" Cyanide asked Pom.

As Sparky was shaking from the terrifying Arbok's entrance a bug type pokemon about twice his size came crawling up the bed. Hello, Hermione said to the Joltik. "My name's Hermione. You're Sparky, right? It's nice to meet you. Um n nice to m meet you too said Sparky still shivering from the Arbok encounter. W what are you d doing here don't you want t to talk to a a pokemon that is isn't afraid of your type asked Sparky still clearly scared. Meanwhile, Cyanide approached Pom, who had been tied up with Sparky's String Shot. "Need help with that?" Cyanide asked Pom. No thanks Cyanide said Pom before struggling for just a second then managed to break out of the web line. Sparky almost always does that when he sees any poison type. Said Pom to Cyanide. Only exception I've seen is Pomona. Hey want to do some training outside Cyanide? I recently learned some new moves and I want to test them out what do you say? Asked Pom.
Hermione listened as Sparky, still clearly scared, asked her if she wouldn't rather speak to a Pokemon not afraid of her type. "Well, Nagini wanted me to talk to you- she's rather upset at having scared you and figured you would be a little more comfortable talking to a Poison-type closer to your size. And I'm pretty much the smallest Poison-type on my team. Why is it you're scared of Poison-types, anyway?" the Weedle asked. "Am I correct in assuming you've had a bad experience with them in the past? Not all Poison-types are bad, you know. In fact, most of my teammates are very nice and pleasant. Nagini, the Arbok back there? Probably the kindest and most gentle Pokemon on the entire team."

Meanwhile, Pom declined Cyanide's offer of help just before managing to escape the String Shot himself. Cyanide was slightly impressed- String Shot wasn't the easiest of moves to escape from without help. Pom then explained that Sparky was like that with most Poison-types, with Pomona being the only exception he knew of. "Yeah, that much I know," nodded Cyanide. "Pomona's one of those Pokemon that won't be satisfied until she's friends with everyone on the planet. She's always happy, sweet, perky, and optimistic. Makes me want to puke sometimes." Pom then asked if Cyanide wanted to do some training outside. "Sure, why not?" Cyanide replied. "I got nothing better to do right now." Though her wording implied that she was only joining in on the training out of boredom, the Eevee's tone seemed to lack some of her usual coolness and air of disinterest.

It doesn't matter if YOU think that that Arbok is nice said Sparky to Hermione. That Arbok doesn't want to kill you! Sobbed Sparky before telling her about how his family died. So you don't know crap about how nice your trainers pokemon are. I bet that besides Pomona they all want to kill me! Cried Sparky unable to hold back his anger, fear and sadness.
Meanwhile Pom thanked Cyanide for accepting before leading Cyanide down to where him and his teammates usally trained. Alright first I want to get better at dodging is it ok if you launch an attack at me Cyanide? I'll try and dodge with my new agility move. Said Pom before geting into his battle stance eager to train with Cyanide.

Hermione shook her head in response to Sparky's insistence that Nagini wanted to kill him. "I'm sorry about what happened to your family," Hermione said patiently, "but you have to realize, that was a result of humans using poisons, not Pokemon. In no way does that tragedy have anything to do with the behavior of Poison-type Pokemon. You've met Pomona, you said? Just looking at her should be proof enough that not all Poison-types are bad. Now, please don't tell me that I don't know my teammates. I've been one of Keith's Pokemon for several months now, and I know my teammates very well. Nagini wouldn't hurt anyone unless they really had it coming. In fact, one of her best friends is a Nincada who used to be afraid of snakes. And the only Pokemon on Keith's team that might even remotely want to kill you is Pisces, his Basculin- and she's not even a Poison-type. I wish you would give my teammates a chance, Sparky. They really are very nice."

Outside, Pom requested that Cyanide fire off attacks at him, so he could improve on his dodging with the use of his Agility technique. "Sure," shrugged Cyanide as she focused hard, summoning Hidden Power orbs, practically oozing Poison as they hung in midair. "Try and dodge these," smirked Cyanide as she fired off the attack.

Cyanide agreed to Pom's request and summoned Hidden Power orbs, which were oozing poison as they hung in the air, before firing them at Pom.

The first orb came flying, hitting Pom right in the gut and sending him flying back. However, Pom managed to recover by landing on his tail. Pom then started to relax and lighten his body, giving him a boost of speed and allowing him to easily dodge the last three orbs.

''Looks like I need to work on it a little bit'' Pom said as he walked back over to Cyanide. ''But that Hidden Power, it was really something''

''Wow, that's a ton of neat moves your Pokemon know!'' Jake replied. It was then, however that Jake spotted a familiar antlion slowly creeping closer towards Kieth. ''Dusty!'' Jake yelled before grabbing the antlion. ''How many times have I told you not to try and bite people?!''
Dusty simply rolled her eyes. She had heard this all before, couldn't Jake just let her have her fun? ''Now go socialize without biting people'' Jake firmly told Dusty before putting her back down.
''Sorry about that, that's Dusty, she finds it funny to bite people for no reason'' Jake explained. However, desperate for more attention, Dusty turned on the T.V and turned the volume up really loud. ''Dusty! There are guests over! Turn off the T.V!'' Jake yelled. ''Can I please just watch the next news story it's going to be quick!'' Dusty pleaded.
''No you can't Dusty, turn it off!''
However it was then that the commercial breaks ended and the story got under way.

''A mysterious event happened at the police station this morning'' The news reporter began. ''According to police, five people came to the station to report a murder, however when they went to investigate, no trace of any hint of murder could be found. Even more interesting, the five people all reported the same thing, seeing a young boy stab a man alongside a group of pokemon. They also all seemed to forget what happened before or after, police are currently undergoing investigation. We'll keep you updated''

Jake froze. Not everyone was fully hypnotized last night. His head started to spin. ''What if police found a hint that murder was indeed committed? What if they found out it was me? What if they sentence me to the Eelektrik chair? I don't want to die!'' Jake thought in panic. Luckly before Jake could break down, Tasu ran over. ''Jake, their is an emergency, come quick!'' Tasu panicked before running outside.
''I'll be back in a sec Kieth'' Jake said before running after Tasu, glad about the distraction. As Jake got off the ladder, Tasu stopped panicking.
''Ok, I saw what happened Jake. I know this is going to be hard but Jake, if you don't want to get caught you have to stop reacting to stuff like that!'' Tasu scolded.

Though the first Hidden Power orb struck Pom right in the gut, he managed to evade the other three with relative ease. Cyanide looked mildly impressed at this. Pom then walked over to her and admitted that he needed to work on Agility, but praised her Hidden Power.

"Well, that Agility of yours wasn't half bad," the Umbreon smirked. "What other moves you got?"

Dusty's antics didn't bother Keith too much, though Hedwig looked decidedly distrustful of the Trapinch once she realized that it had nearly bitten Keith. The news story, however, and Jake's reaction to it, that bothered Keith somewhat. As Jake retreated to talk to his Plusle, Keith looked around the room, wondering if this all meant what he was starting to suspect it meant. Then, he noticed that Hedwig seemed to be avoiding looking directly at him.

"Hedwig," Keith said to his Crobat.

"Cro?" replied the Crobat, in a clearly fake innocent tone.

"Hedwig..." repeated Keith, more sternly. "There's something you're not telling me."

"Crobat," said Hedwig, shaking her head. Keith wasn't buying it.

"Wanna try that again?" he said. "Because yesterday, I've been getting a few complaints about a Crobat flying around the Bar and trying to cast Hypnosis on everyone. Hypnosis is not the solution to all your problems, Hedwig. What are you trying to hide?"

Defeated, Hedwig gave a sigh. She pointed at the TV with one of her wings, then pointed in the direction in which Jake had gone.

"So it's him, then," Keith stated. "Jake's the guy on the news who stabbed a man?"

Hedwig nodded.

"And you tried to help cover it up by using Hypnosis on the witnesses," Keith continued.

Again, Hedwig nodded.

"And I'm guessing some of your teammates had a hand in clearing up the evidence," sighed Keith. "Let me guess- Ginny had a lot to do with this?"

More nodding from Hedwig. This didn't surprise Keith in the slightest.

Keith was silent for a moment, then he spoke up again, this time in Shuppet language. "Did Jake have a good reason for doing this?"

Hedwig nodded, vigorously this time, possibly to convey that Jake had a very good reason for doing what he did. Keith nodded back- this was good enough for him. He knew that Jake was no murderer. He also knew that even the best of people could sometimes be driven to do things they ordinarily wouldn't do- this he knew from experience. Therefore, there was no way he was gonna hold this against Jake.

''What are the other moves I have? I also have Scratch, Tail whip, Sand attack, Can't Catch Me, Mega punch, U-Turn, Baton pass and Gunk Shot'' Pom explained.

''I can't stop Tasu, the thought scares me everytime I remember it'' Jake replied.

''Then stop thinking about it! Just focus on other things!'' Tasu retorted.

''That's the thing Tasu I can't think of other things, it haunts me, I-I don't want to die!''

''Yesterday you announced that you were going to start to become an electric type specialist, so focus on that. No one will find out it's you if you just focus on that, I guarantee it'' Tasu stated firmly

''O-ok'' Jake stammered before walking back inside. As he got back in, he felt as if something was off, but he couldn't put his finger on it. Ignoring it, Jake sat back down at the table. ''Sorry about that, Tasu thought she saw a swarm of Beedrill coming, turns out it was just a group of Skiploom floating on the wind'' Jake lied. ''Oh I didn't tell you yet but I recently decided to become an electric type specialist'' Jake added , desperate to change the subject as quick as possible, just in case.

Cyanide didn't look particularly interested as Pom listed his attacks, though in reality she was listening to him. She perked up a bit at the last move he listed, though. "Gunk Shot, hmm?" she said with interest. "That's a Poison move- most powerful one there is, in fact," she added. She actually sounded slightly envious of Pom. "I'd like to see you try that move," she said.

Jake walked back in, explaining to Keith that Tasu had thought she saw a swarm of Beedrill, though Keith suspected they had really been discussing the previous day's events. Still, he reasoned, Jake clearly didn't want to discuss it, and Keith saw no reason to press the matter. Therefore, when Jake revealed to Keith that he was planning to specialize in Electric-types, he accepted the change in subject with no question.

"Electric-types, hmm?" Keith replied. "Pretty cool. And you already got a decent start on that, between Sparky and Tasu. In fact, I actually have an Electric-type of my own," he added as he produced a Poké Ball and tossed it into the air, unleashing a Stunfisk. "Meet Rubeus," Keith said to Jake. "Rubeus, this is Jake," he added.

"Jake?" repeated Rubeus, his interest clearly piqued. "I know that name- wait, you're Bubbles's trainer, aren't you?" he asked Jake, sounding progressively more excited. "Is she here?"

Keith blinked- Rubeus almost never got this excited. "Er... what's he saying, Jake?" he asked. "I don't see Rubeus this excited that often."

Pom could see that Cyanide wasn't all that interested as he listed of his moves, that is until he listed his final move, Gunk Shot. "Gunk Shot, hmm?" Cyanide said with interest. "That's a Poison move- most powerful one there is, in fact," Pom could hear a small bit of envy in her voice as she said it. ''Most powerful Poison type move? I knew it was powerful, but the most powerful?'' Pom thought. Cyanide then told Pom that she would like to see him try that move. ''Ok, sounds good'' Pom said before jumping back a few yards. ''Here it comes!'' Pom stated before charging for a brief moment before firing garbage at Cyanide. However, he had charged it a little less then usual, so to lower the power, just in case..........

Jake nodded as Kieth said that he had a decent start specializing in electric types with Tasu and Sparky. Despite this it was quite obvious that he wasn't fully paying attention. Kieth then sent out an electric type of his own. Meet Rubeus," Keith said . "Rubeus, this is Jake," he added. ''Hello Rubeus'' Jake said.
Rubeus's interest piqued however, asking him if he was Bubbles trainer and asked if she was here. Kieth then asked Jake what Rubeus was saying, stating that he didn't see Rubeus that excited very often. ''He asked if Bubbles is here'' Jake replied. ''She should be around here somewhere'' ''Rubeus!'' Bubbles exclaimed as she hurried over, having overheard the conversation. Meanwhile, a hungry Shuppet floated over to the group. ''Hello, hillbilly my name is Aco introduced himself with a scowl on his face. As though he was forced to greet Kieth. However his interest quickly turned to Jake. ''Hmm, that's interesting'' Aco smirked. ''Aco, can you please go away?'' ''Oh but why?'' Aco replied ''After all why is there so much'' ''I think that's enough Aco'' Jake cut in. ''Fine whatever floats your boat'' Aco said before floating away, but not before getting a nasty look from Tasu. ''Sorry, about Aco there, he isn't the nicest of pokemon'' Jake apologized.

Cyanide grinned as Pom agreed to show off his Gunk Shot, though as the Aipom fired off the move, the Umbreon looked a little disappointed. She only barely avoided the Poison move, after which she turned to face Pom. "Hmm," she frowned. "You held back on that, didn't you?" she said to him. "Didn't seem like you were giving it all you got. I didn't want to see some weak, watered down Gunk Shot, I wanted to see the attack at full power." The Umbreon stepped back into position and betrayed a small grin as she addressed Pom. "Let's try that again, shall we?" said Cyanide.

"Bubbles?" repeated Keith in mild surprise. Before Rubeus could do anything in response, however, the Corphish came running over, at which point the Stunfisk promptly flew down and hugged her with his fins. Keith watched this, a look of surprise on his face. "Huh," he remarked. "Did not see that coming."

"It's so good to see you again, Bubbles," smiled Rubeus as he embraced the Water-type. "How have you been?"

At that moment, a Shuppet floated over to Keith, addressing him disdainfully, as though some force was compelling him to do so. Remarkably unperturbed by Aco's rudeness, Keith responded in Shuppet language. "Hello, Aco," he said coolly. "And the name's Keith, not 'hillbilly'." Aco and Jake then got into a brief argument before the Shuppet floated away. Jake then proceeded to apologize for Aco's rudeness. "Oh, believe me, not a problem," chuckled Keith. "You remember Myrtle, right? She can be far worse than Aco, believe me. Still calls me 'Meat Sack'. Believe it or not, she's improving- used to be she'd call me 'Idiot Meat Sack'. She's not a bad Pokémon, really, it just takes a lot to get her to warm up to somebody." He paused for a moment, then spoke up again, a little more quietly this time. "What was Aco talking about just now, anyway?" he asked. "I know Shuppet feed on negative emotions... something bothering you? You don't have to talk about it if you don't want to, but if you do, I'm here to listen."

Cyanide had caught on to Pom not giving it his all, stating that she didn't want to see a weak, watered down Gunk Shot and wanted to see the attack at full power. ''Sorry'' Pom apologized before getting back into position.
"Let's try that again, shall we?" Cyanide said. Pom nodded. ''Alright, she wants me to give it my all, then I will'' Pom thought before starting to charge up the attack once again. However as the garbage was fired, it was obvious that it had much more power in it then last time.

At Bubbles coming over, Rubeus flew down and gave her a hug, asking her how she had been.
''I've been ok, I guess'' Bubbles replied. ''Though recently, things with my trainer haven't been so well. He recently killed someone, completely by accident, but it's still made me feel a bit uneasy.'' Bubbles added in a whisper, so no one but Rubeus could hear.

Kieth chuckled, saying it was no problem before explaining explaining that his Shuppet Myrtle could be far worse, and that she still called him Meat Sack.
''Wow'' Jake replied
''Reminds me of a few names Aco comes up with for his teammates, he calls Kage, Ms. Emotional, Bubbles, Bi-polar freak just to name a few''
Kieth then asked what Aco was talking about, stating that he knew Shuppet fed on negative emotions and wondered if anything was bothering him.
''Why couldn't Aco have just shut his mouth!?'' Jake thought, knowing that trying to say every thing was fine wouldn't be believable, what could he say?
''Ever do something that you couldn't control until it's to l-late then feel g-guilty about it? W-well something like that happened yesterday, and now now I feel guilty'' Jake explained.
''It's not a big deal'' He added.
''Oh but that's where your lying!'' Aco smirked as he came back into the room.
''Such a dark secret you hold, how long can you hide it from everyone?'' Aco continued. ''Aco, please just shut up!'' Jake yelled.
It was then however that an idea sprung to Aco. ''I've got a better idea'' Aco smirked. ''Let's see just how tasty your emotions can get'' Jake's eyes went wide.
''N-no Aco y-you w-wouldn't!'' Jake stammered.
''Oh but I would'' Aco said smugly, he could taste fear already building in Jake. Aco then floated higher up so everyone in the base could see him.
''Attention everyone, I have an announcement to make'' Aco called, loud enough for even Cyanide and Pom to hear. ''As you may of heard, about the bizarre case of five people reporting a murder at the bar yesterday, yet no evidence has been found. Well I am hear to tell you that their was a murder last night. I also know just who murdered the man'' Aco went on, before a brief pause for dramtic effect, dodging a Chocolate Magic attack from Tasu. ''Aco, shut up if you know what's good for you'' Tasu threatened, something she almost never did. Ignoring the mouse, Aco went on. ''And the cold blooded killer is none other then, my trainer, Jake!
Jake wanted to kill myself right there.

Cyanide grinned as Pom fired off another Gunk Shot- it was clear that this one was launched at full power, and though the Umbreon made an effort to dodge it, she found herself getting splattered with garbage anyway. Ordinarily, this would have infuriated her, but right now, the sight of Pom unleashing such an amazing Poison move was ingrained in her mind. Cyanide made use of her Psychic attack to get the garbage off of her (though some of her fur had already gotten dirty), and then turned to face Pom, her expression unreadable, though the look in her eyes intense. Slowly, she approached the Aipom, maintaining eye contact all the while... then, when she got close, she used Psychic again, this time to hoist the Normal-type into the air so their faces were level.

"Now, THAT," Cyanide said softly to Pom, "was a Gunk Shot." With that, she kissed him.

"Oh, my..." Rubeus murmured as Bubbles revealed that Jake had killed someone recently. As Bubbles then mentioned that it still made her feel a bit uneasy, he hugged her again. "Jake does not strike me as a cold-blooded killer," he said kindly. "Besides, as you said, it was a complete accident."

Keith nodded gravely as Jake asked whether he had ever done anything he couldn't control until it was too late, and then felt guilty about it, for Jake had just described the exact events of Halloween night, 2012. Before he could dwell much more on this, Keith raised an eyebrow at the discussion Jake was having with his Shuppet, and frowned as Aco rose into the air to announce something to the entire room, in spite of Tasu's efforts to stop him. Aco then confirmed what Keith had already forced out of Hedwig- Jake had been the one to murder someone in the Bar the previous night. A silence followed this proclamation for a few moments. Then, Keith turned to face Aco, frowning. "You know, Aco," he said in Shuppet language, "I realize your kind thrives on negative emotions, but actively causing them in others for sustenance is just cruel." He then turned to face Jake, looking remarkably unfazed by the news that he had murdered someone. "You asked whether I've ever done anything that I couldn't control until it was too late, and then felt guilty about it? I have, as a matter of fact. Ever hear of a Stunfisk named Neville? I'm ashamed to admit I used to be his trainer. He's a ruthless prankster, who specializes in inducing paralysis with Static, though he's not above other forms of screwing with others... Before I dumped him in the Adoption Center, one of his victims was a Banette, who swore vengeance on him. Right after I sent Neville to the Adoption Center, I was approached by the Banette, who looked furious, and she was asking the whereabouts of my Stunfisk. I explained to her that he was in the Adoption Center, and confided in her that given all the crap he had pulled, I would raise no objection if she wanted to seek vengeance on him. Skip ahead to Halloween night... everyone's in the Bar, having a good time, and then I get a call from the Adoption Center. This wasn't long after the government removed the restrictions on PC space, see, so they were making calls to any trainer who had dropped off Pokémon there, asking if they would consider adopting them back. And even after all the crap Neville was responsible for, I hate to admit it, but I was considering giving him another chance. That was a mistake I'll regret for as long as I'll live," he sighed. "The Banette had heard me... She was furious. of course, but... she was also sad. She felt that what I was doing, giving consideration to taking Neville back, was nothing short of betrayal. I sometimes still have nightmares about the look of anger and sorrow in her eyes that night... And I was really starting to get on good terms with that Banette, too, I was starting to really like her... She pulled out her needle, and prepared to lay a deadly Curse on me, but her trainer intervened, and the needle wound up stuck in her arm. She's OK now, by the way, but she was hospitalized for a month..."

Keith gave a heavy sigh before continuing. "To tell you the truth, Jake," Keith said quietly, "I could've spoken up at some point... I could've begged for my life, I could have apologized... but I knew anything I would have said then would have sounded hollow and meaningless... and I didn't beg for my life because at that moment, once I realized how my carelessness had affected her... I didn't want the Curse to be interrupted," he confessed. "I felt, in that moment, that I deserved to die." For a minute, Keith said nothing more, reflecting on the horrible events of that night. He finally spoke up again. "Things improved, though, after that night," he continued. "I'll spare you the details, but I will say this- remember Coselle? Remember that she's a Banette? She's the same Banette from that night." He grinned slightly, then decided to change the subject back to Jake.

"Look," he said to Jake. "Despite what Aco says, I highly doubt you're a cold-blooded killer. I'm thinking you had to have had an extremely good reason for doing what you did, am I right? Tell me your side of what happened. And Aco," he added, switching back to Shuppet language, "I'm not your trainer, I realize I have absolutely no authority over you, but all the same, I'd like to request that you let your trainer tell his side of the story with no input from you, OK?"

Silence followed Aco's announcement. The first to speak, was Keith, addressing Aco.
Saying that even though his kind feasted on negative emotions, actively causing them in others was cruel.
''As long as I get benefit out of it, I don't care'' Aco replied, still looking smug.
Kieth then turned to Jake, looking unfazed about the announcement before telling a story of a time where he was in a situation he couldn't control until it was too late, and then felt guilty about it.
Though Jake was hardly paying attention, he was just looking at his shoe, only registering few words from the story. Kieth then changed the subject back to Jake, saying that he doubted he was a cold-blooded killer, and that he probably had a very good reason, asking for his side of the story. He also requested no input from Aco.
''No need for input, does Jake look like he's going to tell you?'' Aco smirked. Sure enough, Jake was still looking at the floor, now wet with tears. Jake then got up before running out the door, slamming it behind him.
''See what did I tell you? He's such a crybaby'' Aco laughed before getting hit by a glob of Chocolate as if by magic, from Tasu. ''You've caused enough trouble, now stop insulting my trainer!'' Tasu yelled. She then sighed. Well since Jake wasn't going to tell his side, maybe Telpo's side could be heard. ''Telpo!'' Tasu called. After a couple seconds, Telpo teleported over. ''What's up?'' Tasu asked. ''We have a problem, Aco here blabbed about last nights events, and you now need to explain to Kieth why Jake did it.
''Got it'' Telpo replied before turning to Kieth. ''Alright, I'll explain why Jake killed someone'' Telpo said via telepathy. ''You remember Jake's father was chasing Jake yesterday? Well later, he caught up to him, long story short we got into a big battle. We eventually won but Jake's father trys to kill Jake by throwing a knife at him, before charging at him with another. It was either Jake's life or his. Jake didn't do anything wrong, but he thinks otherwise, and has been really harsh on himself since.'' Telpo explained.

''I know he isn't a cold blooded killer. But what if he get's caught? From what I heard, if your guilty of crime, they release all of your pokemon, I don't want that to happen, I don't want to never see you again'' Bubbles said.

Though Cyanide tryed to dodge, she still managed to get splattered with garbage. ''Are you ok?!'' Pom asked, he hoped the attack hadn't hurt her to much. Cyanide got the garbage of her using Psychic, before turning to face Pom. Pom couldn't read her expression at all. Was she happy, angry, hurt? Pom hoped for the first one. She then slowly approached him, maintaining eye contact all the whole time. As Cyanide got close, Pom could feel his feet leave the ground as he was risen up a good 7 inches off the ground from Cyanide's Psychic, so their faces were level.
"Now, that, was a Gunk Shot." Cyanide said softly before kissing him. His fear of hurting her had quickly melted away. This was how things should be, a great trainer, a great team and an amazing girlfriend, what more could a pokemon ask for? Pom didn't know what and didn't care. He just wanted to cherish every moment.

Keith frowned at Aco's selfish response, but said nothing. The Shuppet continued, however, stating that there was no need for his input as it looked as though Jake wasn't gonna tell his side of things anyway. In fact, not only did he not say a thing, but he raced outside and slammed the door behind him.

At that moment, Telpo Teleported over to where Keith was and telepathically told him what had happened- Jake's father had tried to stab him with a knife, and Jake had acted in self defense, almost without conscious thought. Keith nodded as Telpo finished his explanation. "Knew he had to have had a good reason," Keith stated as he stood up. "I'll see if I can't help him calm down a bit." With that, he walked outside after Jake, hoping that all he had done was just step outside, that he didn't flee to anywhere.

"I don't want that to happen, either," Rubeus said as he hugged Bubbles again. "But if, Arceus forbid, it does happen, and you do get released... well, you know where my trainer's Secret Base is, right? You can come there to see me any time. You could even stay there if you wanted, Keith wouldn't mind. I know I wouldn't mind, either," he added with a smile.

After a while, Cyanide and Pom's kiss stopped, and the Umbreon gently lowered her boyfriend to the ground. Cyanide stretched a little bit, then lay down next to Pom. "Heh," she said to him after a minute, "I don't think I ever told you why I like the Poison type so much, did I? Don't suppose you'd be interested in hearing about that?"

As soon as Kieth left to find Jake, Telpo, Sprout, Tasu and Dusty glared at Aco in anger.
''What was that for?!'' Sprout demanded
''That was just low'' Dusty added
''Think what you want, does it look like I care?'' Aco laughed.
''Why, just why?'' Telpo asked.
''You know he didn't want anyone to know, you knew how scared he was and you make it even worse, you disgust me!'' Tasu yelled before turning to the others. ''Alright let's do this, Telpo, Thunder Punch, Sprout, Weather ball and Dusty, Bite!'' Tasu commanded before preparing a Chocolate Magic attack.
However once the attacks had been delivered, only a weakened Nuzleaf remained. ''Kage?!'' Dusty gasped. ''Looks like freak in a sheet got away'' Sprout sighed. ''Well nothing we can do now'' Telpo frowned. ''He'll come back, and when he will, that's when we strike, he won't get away with this'' Tasu added.

Luckily for Kieth, Jake hadn't gone very far, in fact, he was sitting right at the tree base, his face covered by the hood of his jacket.

''Yeah that's true, but the thought still scares me.'' Bubbles replied. ''You hungry?'' ''We have some apples on the table''

After a bit, Pom and Cyanide stopped kissing and Pom felt his feet touch the ground again. Cyanide then laid down next to Pom.
"I don't think I ever told you why I like the Poison type so much, did I? Don't suppose you'd be interested in hearing about that?" Cyanide said.

''No you never told me, but I'd be interested hearing about it'' Pom smiled.

The second Keith exited, most of Jake's other Pokémon turned on Aco. Hedwig watched them launch their attacks simultaneously, but did not join in- the tremendous level difference gave her far too much of an edge, and she doubted Keith would be happy with her for joining in. To her mild amusement, however, a Nuzleaf took the attacks directed at Aco as the Shuppet made his escape.

Keith did not need to look for very long to locate Jake- he was sitting at the base of the tree, the hood of his jacket obscuring his face. Keith climbed down to where he was and sat next to him. "Telpo explained what happened," Keith said to Jake. "From what they're telling me, it was either you or him. I don't think anyone could fault you for doing what you did. I don't blame you, Hedwig doesn't blame you, your Pokémon don't blame you- hell, I bet even Aco doesn't really blame you, he's probably just going with it to get you to react. Believe me, guilt tastes great to Shuppet. After Halloween night, Myrtle informed me I was like a walking gourmet feast for her. But Jake, here's the thing, the only thing you're gonna accomplish by being this hard on yourself is making the cops suspicious. You gotta try and calm down, OK? Don't be so hard on yourself. Because if things went down the way Telpo's telling it, if you didn't do what you did, you'd have died. Anyone in your position would've done the same thing."

Meanwhile, Pom showed interest in learning the reason for Cyanide's preference for the Poison type. "Well, it started back when I was at the Coins for Prizes shop," replied Cyanide. "Before some rich idiot came in and bought me and the rest of my litter- I got thirteen brothers and sisters, see. Plus one half brother, some Shiny Eevee- he wasn't part of my litter, but my original trainer hatched him before he traded the whole litter off to other trainers. Anyway, life at that place was dull. Really boring, nothing to do. Then, I was about a week old, and the morons running the shop were feeding all of us, and I got to a food dish at the same time as this other Eevee from a different litter. He was... cute. Not like the other Eevee I was forced to live with. I got along real nice with him, and for a few weeks, I hung out a lot with him. He was all nice, and we got along real well..." At that point, however, Cyanide's expression darkened. "Then one night, a wild Arbok broke into the store, and went for some of the Eevee. Well, I was running away along with that cute Eevee, and I tripped and fell. And do you know what that little shit did? He knew I had fallen, but he just kept on running. I called out, begging for him to help, and he ignored me completely. Well, by that point, the Arbok was nearly upon me, so I did the first thing that came to mind- I Tackled it hard, and ran off to hide before it could recover from that. The attack didn't do much, but it stunned it for a moment, which was all I needed." Cyanide paused for a moment before continuing. "My plan worked- the Arbok didn't get me. But I did see it get that other Eevee, the one who abandoned me, left me for dead. By that point, my heart had already been broken, so I had no inclination to go and help him. Instead, I watched as the Arbok nailed him with a good Toxic, watched him suffer before he got eaten." A twisted smile appeared on the Umbreon's face at this memory. "From that moment on, I came to love the idea of poison. I wanted to become a Poison type, just like the Arbok who made that traitorous bastard suffer. Unfortunately, they never discovered a Poison-type Eevee evolution, so I started striving for Flareon once I learned they could learn Smog- it was the closest I was gonna come, I figured, though I gotta say, I don't regret becoming an Umbreon at all."

After she finished telling her story, Cyanide sighed, then looked down. "Truth be told, that incident affected me in another way," she said quietly. "That cute Eevee was the first living being I had ever had any affection for, and when things got bad, he abandoned me. I lost all faith in anyone after that. Of course, for some reason, I couldn't help but warm up to Keith once I was traded to him. To this day I still dunno why it was so easy... But anyone else, I didn't even want to attempt to get close to. I... I didn't want to risk getting hurt again," she sighed. "And then... and then you came along. You treated me nice the whole time, never mattered how rude or indifferent I ever seemed to you. Truth be told, Pom, I had feelings for you from day one, but I didn't dare act on it... And yet, you never let me down," she said with a small smile as she looked into the Aipom's eyes. "You know, Pom... As soon as it really occurred to me that I could let you into my life without having to fear disappointment... that's when I evolved into Umbreon."

''Why did you block the attacks, Kage?'' ''Aco had it coming, did you not hear what he did?'' Telpo asked. ''I heard just fine, it's just that, it's complicated.'' Kage replied ''I'll say one thing though, he was nothing like this when he was alive.'' And with that, Kage dashed away. ''Well what should we do now? We can't just wait forever for Aco to come back, knowing him, he should be close to Jake'' Dusty said. ''Nope, he's quite the distance from him, only ones around him are Sparky and Kieth'' Telpo confirmed. ''How do you know?'' Sprout asked. ''My species can detect everything within close proximity, telepathic radar.'' Telpo explained. ''Well just tell us if Aco tries to come close to Jake'' Tasu said.

The whole time Kieth talked, Jake didn't resond. In fact it didn't look like he was listening at all, though in reality he was. However as soon as Kieth finished, he finally spoke up. '
'I should have died their yesterday, it would be better for everyone'' ''And the cops don't need to get suspicious, I've made up my mind, I'm leaving'' Jake stated. It was then that Sparky revealed himself from his hiding spot. ''No, don't go! Think of everyone your letting down, all the friends we made so far!'' Sparky squeaked. Jake shook his head. ''If my whole life hasn't already taught me this, then this has. I don't belong here, or Unova, you guys will be happier once I'm gone.'' ''Kieth think about this, if you never knew me, your first thought of this case would be that it was my fault, so what does you knowing me make any difference. Jake sobbed. ''So it was nice knowing you both, goodbye!'' And with that Jake ran and ran until he came to the apple tree across the field.

He then ran behind the tree revealing a small log to stand and a noose hanging from the tree. He took a couple seconds to catch his breath before standing on the log, tying the noose tight around his neck. Hoping Kieth hadn't caught up. ''Theres nothing left for me, Sparky, Pom, Bubbles, Telpo, Botch, Kage, Sprout, Tasu, Dusty, Aco and everyone else I met, goodbye!'' Jake thought before kicking the log he was standing on, causing it to roll away.............

Cyanide's story about the Eevee who betrayed her and the Arbok, left Pom not knowing what to think. One thing he did know however, was how glad he was that the Eevee met his end.
Pom was about to speak, but then Cyanide continued. Saying that the incident had affected her in another way. Saying that after that she didn't want to get close to anyone because she didn't want to get hurt again.
''You treated me nice the whole time, never mattered how rude or indifferent I ever seemed to you. Truth be told, Pom, I had feelings for you from day one, but I didn't dare act on it... And yet, you never let me down," Cyanide said with a small smile as she looked into the Aipom's eyes. "You know, Pom... As soon as it really occurred to me that I could let you into my life without having to fear disappointment... that's when I evolved into Umbreon."

For the second time that day, Pom didn't know what to say at first, though he was blushing profoundly
''You think so?'' Pom asked. ''Because and I know this is stupid I still feel that I let you down, the night you evolved. I know you've already denied it but, I still think that I stopped you from becoming a Flareon, what you truly wanted to become''

"Whoa, don't talk like that," Keith said as Jake insisted that he should have died the previous day, that he didn't belong here, or in Unova, or anywhere. Despite the protesting of Keith and Sparky, Jake took off running. Keith immediately started running after him, reaching for a Poké Ball on his belt.

Jake had outrun Keith, and had made it to a tree where there was already a noose prepared. He fastened the noose around his neck and kicked away the log on which he was standing-

"Vernon, Stone Edge!"

There was Keith, riding on the back of his Tauros, who was moving as fast as he possibly could. Vernon bellowed loudly as it fired off a series of sharpened stones at the rope, slicing it up just as Jake kicked away the log. As Vernon drew closer to Jake, he came to a stop, and Keith climbed down. "Jake, what the hell?" he demanded. "What kind of talk is that, everyone would be happier if you were gone? That's a load of crap, and I know where there's at least nine Pokémon that would back me up on this. I just stopped you from killing yourself, does that sound like something someone would do if they'd be happier with you dead? And another thing, even if I didn't know you, self defense is self defense. I most assuredly would not have thought this to be your fault, because it was not your fault. C'mon, let's get back to your Secret Base, huh?"

Pom replied to the last part of what Cyanide said, confessing his concern that he may have let her down by being the reason she didn't evolve the way she had intended to. "Hey, believe me, I may not have planned for this, but I love being an Umbreon," Cyanide assured Pom. "I like how I look like this, and Smog's a weak move anyway. Besides, Flareon can't learn Psychic, which means I wouldn't be able to do this," she grinned as she used aforementioned move to pull Pom in for a quick kiss. "Let me repeat myself, Pom, you've never let me down," she said to him.

''Any sign of Aco yet, Telpo?'' Dusty asked.
''Nope, he's still a good distance away'' Telpo reported. However after about a minute horror struck Telpo's face.
''Everyone grab on, quick, we need to get to Jake!'' Telpo yelled.
The others didn't know what was wrong, but they knew it was something big, and so quickly grabbed onto Telpo.
And in an instant they were gone.

''I guess so.'' Jake replied weakly.
Kieth had just saved his life, at least he didn't see him as a murderer.

Just then Telpo, Dusty, Tasu and Sprout appeared beside the group, though they looked like they had just walked through a blizzard.
''Glad- glad your safe master'' Telpo said weakly, trying to catch his breath after multiple failed attempts at telporting to the right location.

''Promise not to do something like that again!'' Tasu pleaded.

''But who set up the noose?'' Dusty asked

''I have a sneaky suspicion freak in a sheet had to do with it'' Sprout replied.

''Well that doesn't matter right now, master is safe!'' Telpo exclaimed before turning to Kieth.

''Thanks for saving his life.'' Telpo chimed via telepathy.

''W-well let's go b-back.'' Jake managed to say before walking back to the base, along with some very reliefed pokemon.

''Well I'm glad I've never let you down'' Pom smiled.
''And Cyanide, you have never let me down either.''

''Um excuse me!'' A teen's voice called to the two pokemon. Pom let out a sigh before standing up, to see a young teenage girl running towards them.

The girl was a bit short, about 4'10" and wore glasses. She had short, red hair and had a Medicham and Mienfoo beside her.

''Sorry to bother you two'' The girl apologized as she got to the two pokemon.
''Do you two know who lives in that base right there?''
''My trainer, Jake lives there'' Pom told the girl.
Her Medicham, quickly translated what Pom had said.
''Jake Eclair?''
At this Pom nodded, though was curious why the girl wanted to know.
''Ok, thanks for your time'' The girl said before walking off towards Jake's base.

Story 1 Part 2:
Spoiler: show
As Keith stopped Jake from taking his own life, Jake's Pokémon appeared near him, minus Pom and Aco, all having been Teleported to that location by Telpo. "See, Jake?" grinned Keith. "What did I tell you? Your Pokémon all care about you, too, and I shudder to think how they'd react if I had gotten here too late." Then, as Telpo telepathically thanked him for saving Jake's life, he turned and patted his Tauros on his head. "You know," he added to Jake's Pokémon, "It's really Vernon here you should be thanking. He's the one what got me here in time and cut up the rope."

"Pfft, it was nothing!" snorted the Tauros modestly.

"Anyway, yeah, let's get back," agreed Keith as he climbed back onto Vernon's back, and walked along with Jake and his Pokémon.

Meanwhile, back near Jake's base, Pom and Cyanide's moment was getting somewhat ruined by the arrival of an unfamiliar girl, who asked who lived in the base. Pom's answer was apparently translated for her by her Medicham, though the entire time, Cyanide regarded the young teenager with a distrustful expression. Once she walked off, the Umbreon continued to glare. She didn't know what it was, but she didn't trust this person at all. Of course, it could easily be nothing, but still... Cyanide still felt a little uneasy.

"I'm not sure I trust that person," she whispered to Pom. "I dunno what it is, I just think we oughta say something to Jake when he comes back, y'know?"

Once the girl left, Cyanide whispered to Pom, telling him that she didn't trust the girl, suggesting that they say something to Jake when he got back.
Pom nodded. ''Yeah, I don't really trust her either''

''Hello, anyone home?'' The girl called as she got to the bottom of the rope ladder. It was then that she noticed the group.
''So that's where they are!'' The girl thought before bolting over there and yelling Jake's name. Much to quickly for Cyanide or Pom to tell Jake anything.

Meanwhile, the walk back to the base was mostly quiet, though Jake's pokemon said a few things, like thanking Vernon, Jake was silent, like he usually was lately.
''Come on Jake, cheer up a bit'' Sparky squeaked. Still silence. Despite what had happened, Jake was still, glum. ''What could cheer him up? I remember someone who would always cheer him up, but that was a long time ago'' Sparky thought to himself. It was then however that the young girl started yelling and running towards them. ''Jake! Jake!'' She yelled. The familiar voice caught Jakes attention, he looked to his to see the teen running towards him. ''Who is that?'' Jake thought.

Eventually though, as the girl got closer, he recognized her.
''Is that you Sophie?'' The girl nodded before stopping i front of the group. ''What brings you here Sophie, I thought you moved to the Johto region?'' Jake asked. ''I did, I'm on a journey now, since I heard you ran away to Fizzytopia, I decided I'd go and try and find you'' Sophie explained.
''Ah ok'' Jake said.
''Oh, and Sophie, this is Kieth, Kieth this is Sophie.
''Nice to meet you'' Sophie said.

Pom nodded, agreeing with Cyanide. However, the girl went running off towards Jake, and neither Cyanide nor Pom could react quickly enough. However, this proved to be unnecessary, for it turned out that Jake recognized this girl. Cyanide blinked in surprise as it turned out that Jake and the girl (whose name was Sophie) appeared to be old friends. "Huh," she remarked. "I guess I was wrong. Well, why don't we go and check it out anyway, Pom?" she suggested.

Meanwhile, Keith was mildly surprised at the sudden appearance of a girl who seemed to know Jake. Jake introduced her as Sophie, and introduced her and Keith to each other. "Good to meet you, Sophie," replied Keith.

Just then, a Poké Ball on Keith's belt opened up of its own volition, and in a flash of light, a Banette emerged, looking disappointed. "What hap-pened to the ne-ga-ti-vi-ty?" she asked. "I was en-joy-ing a tas-ty snack, Meat Sack, what gives?" she demanded.

"I'll explain later, Myrtle," Keith said to the Banette. "Now, while you're out, why don't you meet Jake's friend Sophie? And for the love of Arceus, try being nice," he added in Shuppet language.

Myrtle rolled her eyes, but all the same, addressed Sophie. "I sup-pose I could do worse than mee-ting you, So-phie," Myrtle grumbled.

"And this is Myrtle, my Banette," Keith said to Sophie. "Believe it or not, for her, that qualifies as nice."

''Yeah we should go check what's going on'' Pom replied, before running over towards the group.

Sophie chuckled slightly.
''Nice to meet you to, Myrtle''
Sophie then turned to Kieth.
''Your Banette reminds me of my Scraggy'' Sophie said. ''Hey Sophie, why don't you send out some of your other pokemon?'' Jake asked. ''I'd love to see what new pokemon you got.''
''Alright, come on out, Aura, Scraps and Chikara!'' From the pokeballs cam a Lucario, Gurrdurr and Scraggy. Immediately, the Scraggy lunged at Jake. ''No, Scraps!'' Sophie yelled as she grabbed Scraps.
''Scraps this is my friend, Jake, you don't need to lunge at him'' Sophie explained before putting him down. ''So Jake what new pokemon do you have?''
''Um I have Sparky of course along with Pom the Aipom, Bubbles the Corphish, Telpo the Abra, Botch the Grimer, Kage the Nuzleaf, Sprout the Bellsprout, Tasu the Plusle, Dusty the Trapinch and Aco the Shuppet'' Jake explained.

It was then that Pom got to the group.
''Oh, there's Pom right now.'' Pom waved at Sophie before jumping on Jakes shoulder. ''Um, Jake who is that girl there?'' Pom whispered into Jake's ear. ''You mean Sophie? She's a friend of mine, me and Sparky met her in Asperita city five years ago.'' Jake explained to Pom.
''How about we all go inside? I have tea, milk what ever you like''
''I think that would be a good idea'' Sophie replied.
''Alright then let's go'' Jake said before walking back to the base.

When everyone got in Jake grabbed an apple from the basket.
''Sophie, want an apple?'' Jake asked
''Nah I'm good'' Sophie replied before siting down at the table. ''Do you two want anything to drink? I have tea and milk''
Tasu smiled. Looks like Jake was back to being himself, for now anyway.

Sophie seemed remarkably unfazed by Myrtle's natural rudeness, simply stating that it was nice to meet her before she turned to face Keith and informed him that the Banette reminded her of her Scraggy. Jake then asked Sophie if she'd send out her other Pokémon. She did so, bringing out a Scraggy, a Lucario, and a Gurdurr. Keith took out his Pokédex and pointed them at each of the Fighting-types in turn, including the Mienfoo and Medicham that were accompanying the girl.

"Mienfoo, the Martial Arts Pokémon," droned the Pokédex. "Mienfoo is capable of delivering attacks with devastating rapidity. It has mastered elegant combination attacks. Medicham, the Meditate Pokémon, and the evolved form of Meditite. Medicham gained psychic powers through intense meditation. In battle, it can predict what its opponent will do next. Scraggy, the Shedding Pokémon. Scraggy doles out powerful Headbutts with the help of its thick skull. It will headbutt anyone who makes eye contact with it. Lucario, the Aura Pokémon, and the evolved form of Riolu. Lucario can sense the Auras of all living beings. No foe can remain invisible to it. Gurdurr, the Muscular Pokémon, and the evolved form of Timburr. Gurdurr's muscular build prevents it from being moved against its will. Not even a group of wrestlers would be able to force a Gurdurr to budge."

"The evolved form of Timburr..." Keith repeated with mild interest as he looked at the Gurdurr. He had a Timburr of his own, of course, though was currently unaware of her aversion to evolving. "Well, Sophie, I'm gonna take a wild guess here and say you're a Fighting-type specialist, am I right?" he asked.

After Jake had listed his numerous Pokémon, he suggested they all go back to his place. This plan was fine by Keith. Once they got back, Keith returned Vernon to his Poké Ball (a Tauros indoors? Baaaaad idea), and also temporarily returned Cyanide to her ball, just for ease of getting her up the ladder.

Back inside, Jake asked if they wanted anything to drink. "I'd like milk," responded Keith. "Chocolate if you have it, but if not, regular's fine."

Meanwhile, Cyanide went over to where Pom was. "So, what's the deal with the girl, anyway?" she asked. "I'm guessing she's all right, then?"

''Alright milk it is'' Jake said as he got a glass and poured some milk into it.

''Sophie, tea, milk?'' Jake asked before handing Keith the milk.

''Um, milk as well please'' Sophie responded before turning to Keith.
''About your early question, you would be right, I am a fighting type specialist, I decided on it when I caught Aura back when he was a Riolu.''

Meanwhile Dusty, in a mischievous mood, slowly snuck up on Scraps before biting down on his thick skull.

''Yowwwwwwwww!'' The Scraggy yelled before flailing about before finally sending Dusty flyinb into the table, knocking it over with everything on it.

''Scraps return!'' Sophie commanded before trying to return the shedding pokemon to it's pokeball.

However, Scraps, dodged the red beam of light and instead, in a rage started to charge towards the next pokemon he laided eyes on.

Which happened to be an Umbreon and an Aipom.

Meanwhile, Cyanide walked over to where Pom was, asking him what was the deal with Sophie, and also guessed that she was alright.

''Yeah she's alright.'' Pom nodded ''She is apparently a friend of Jakes that he met in Unova.'' Explained Pom. ''But the weird thing is, Jake hasn't even mentioned her much before, and he's told all of us about what he....

Suddenly a loud smash interrupted what Pom was going to say, and before he could react, he was hit by a powerful Zen Headbutt, slaming him against the wall.

''What the hell was that for?!'' Pom demanded.

Scraps meanwhile, said nothing and moved on to Cyanide, preparing a powerful Head Smash.

Meanwhile Tasu, shook her head.

''So much drama has been going on within the past few days. Jake murdering his father, Jake trying to commit suicide, and now this'' Tasu thought. ''And just when I thought things would calm down''

Jake poured Keith a glass of milk, as Sophie confirmed that she was indeed a Fighting-type specialist. "Cool," replied Keith. "I specialize in Poison-types myself, though I do make a few exceptions, as I'm sure you've already guessed, between the Tauros, the Banette, and the Umbreon. I actually have a couple of Fighting-types myself, if you want to see them."

At that moment, however, Jake's Trapinch caused some trouble by chomping down on the Scraggy's head, causing the Dark/Fighting-type to go berserk. "Oh, crap," murmured Keith as Scraps slammed Pom with a Zen Headbutt. "This cannot possibly end well."

Sure enough, once the initial surprise of Pom being suddenly slammed off to the side by a random Zen Headbutt attack had worn off, Cyanide turned to face the Scraggy, who was now bearing down on her with a Head Smash at the ready. But Cyanide had no intention of being taken down. No, Cyanide's intention was currently to crush the Scraggy into a fine powder. Scraps had made the fatal error of viciously attacking this Umbreon's boyfriend, and Keith knew full well that there could be no quicker and easier way of getting on Cyanide's bad side. And those who get on Cyanide's bad side... Yeah, it's usually never a pretty sight. Eyes narrowed in a furious glare, the Umbreon let off a fierce Snarl, which rapidly escalated into a Hyper Voice. Wasting no time, she then fired off a Toxic attack.

"I just want to apologize ahead of time," Keith said to Sophie. "The Aipom your Scraggy attacked is my Umbreon's boyfriend, and, well, you can see just how well she reacts to him being attacked. There is no stopping her when she's like this." He then took a Pecha Berry out of his backpack. "I have no doubt Scraps will be needing one of these when all is said and done," he added. "Toxic is probably Cyanide's favorite attack to use. Probably one of the reasons why she fits in so well on my team in the first place," he added.

''Thanks, but Scraps won't need that'' Sophie replied to Keith offering the pecha berry.
''You see, Scraps has the shed skin ability, so even if Toxic is your Umbreon's favourite move, it's effects won't last long.''

Meanwhile, Dusty got up and started pulling on Jake's pant leg.
''What is it Dusty?!'' Jake demanded, angered at mess that the antlion had caused.

''Let me in there!'' ''I'll show them who's boss!'' Dusty said in excitment.

''You've already caused enough trouble!'' Jake replied.

''How am I supposed to become a mighty dragon when I'm not allowed to fight?!'' The antlion demanded.

''I'll put you in the daycare soon enough''

''Fine, whatever'' Dusty agreed before watching the battle intently.

Cyanide started with a Snarl which turned into a Hyper Voice, knocking Scraps off his feet.
However he quickly got up and preformed mystic dance, raising his speed and attack.

Just as Scraps finished, he got hit by a Toxic attack, badly poisoning him. He then once again preformed a mystic dance, further raising his speed and attack.

He then charged at the Umbreon before using a powerful Facade attack. And with the toxic and dragon dance boosts, it was bound to leave a mark. And as the shedding pokemon landed on the grounds, he laughed at Cyanide before his Shed Skin ability kicked in.

Sophie thanked Keith for the offered Pecha Berry, but stated that it was not going to be necessary, explaining about her Scraggy's Shed Skin Ability. "Ah," nodded Keith. "Well, alright, then." He resumed watching the battle, feeling a little better about things.

Then, he noticed Dusty the Trapinch wanting to get in on the fight, and from Jake's side of the conversation, it sounded like the Trapinch had wanted to get into the battle to get stronger. Keith had to admire the Trapinch's spirit, it was almost as though she was already a Dragon-type. And as that occurred to Keith, he remembered one Pokémon he had brought with him, but had yet to send out. Turning away from the battle, Keith took the ball off his belt (making damn sure it wasn't the Shadow Ball- it wouldn't have been the first time he sent Stewie out by accident) and tossed it up into the air. "Norbert, come on out!" he said.

In a flash of light, the ball opened up, releasing an Axew onto the floor. Immediately, the small Dragon-type plodded over to the Trapinch. "Hi!" Norbert greeted her cheerfully. "I'm Norbert, what's your name?"

Meanwhile, Scraps had managed to get in two Dragon Dances, and between those and the poisoning, his Facade attack really hit hard. Cyanide skidded across the floor, but was back on her feet almost instantly. Oh, no way in hell was she gonna lose to this guy! After that Zen Headbutt he had hit Pom with, Cyanide wanted Scraps to suffer. Immediately, the Umbreon changed tactics, deciding on a more cruel approach. She focused hard, and then winked, creating a bunch of pink hearts in midair- she was using Attract. As the hearts flew towards the Scraggy, Cyanide planned to use her Cut attack, and follow it up with Hidden Power, which for her was a Poison move.

As Dusty continued to watch the battle, an Axew went over and cheerfullly greeted her. This minorly annoyed the antlion, as she wanted to concentrate on the battle. However as she turned around she realized that it was a dragon that had greeted her.

''Hello, how can I help you?'' She asked while bowing. To Dusty, dragon types had to be treated with a great deal of respect.

The pink hearts flew towards Scraps, and before he realized it, he was already under the effects of attract.

And though he was planning on using Brick Break, Scraps just couldn't bring himself to do it, not to a pokemon as dazzling and attractive as Cyanide.

Cyanide then hit with a Cut and then a Hidden Power that reeked of poison, sending the shedding pokemon flying.

However he was back on his feet in no time.
Angered Scraps snapped out of the spell of attract for a few seconds and flew at the Umbreon with a Head Smash.

Shortly after the attack connected, Pom came back to his senses and jumped into the fight.

Scraps then planned to use Brick Break on Pom, then use Jump Kick on Cyanide and follow with a Toxic on Pom.

But under the effects of attract would any of these work?

Meanwhile Pom planned on using Brick Break and then a Swift. But he was only at half health, and so even with Scraps under the effects of attract, it wouldn't take to long to be knocked out unless the battle ended quickly.

Meanwhile as the group was watching the battle a loud ringing came from Jake's backpack, it was his Xtransceiver!

''Sorry'' Jake apologized as he went outside on the small balcony and clicked the talk button. After a couple seconds Jake's voice could be heard, yelling the word finally.

Jake quick ran back in. ''I finally did it!'' Jake said, not explaining much. He then turned to Tasu.

''Tasu, come with me, theres something I want you and Sparky to see.''

The electric mouse looked confused but nonetheless jumped on to Jakes right shoulder.

''Hey Telpo, can you teleport us to the Cable Club?'' Jake asked.

Telpo nodded and soon the four were gone, leaving some somewhat confused pokemon behind.

And only a few moments later the group was back.

''What did you trade for that made you that excited?'' Sophie asked confused.

''It may not be a rare or valuble pokemon in here to most, but to me it is'' Jake said before holding up a pokeball and throwing it in the air, revealing a Chinchou.

''Everyone meet, Lucky''

Sophie waved to the angler.
''Hello Lucky, your quite the cutie.''

''I hate confrontations!'' The angler screamed before hiding behind Jake, trembling.

Dusty turned to greet Norbert, immediately becoming more respectful than was ordinary for her upon realizing she was addressing a Dragon-type. Norbert replied, "Hey, can I watch this battle, too?" He sounded very interested in watching the battle, though as he sat down next to the Trapinch, he turned to face her. "And after this, wanna go hunting with me?" said the Axew. "Oh, yeah, I didn't get your name," he added.

Cyanide smirked evilly as the Attract took its effect, preventing Scraps from attacking. She let fly her Cut and Hidden Power without mercy, and the Scraggy angrily retaliated with a forceful Head Smash. However, he still seemed to be under Attract's spell. Pom entered the fight as soon as the Head Smash made contact with the Umbreon. Taking note of this, Cyanide knew that things had to be wrapped up soon, because any more damage to Pom, she didn't think she would be able to stop herself from killing the Scraggy. And by killing, I don't mean that as some euphemism for knocking him out- I mean, she would end his life. Quickly, Cyanide sprang into action, first making use of a move she never thought she'd ever actually use- Helping Hand. She used the move in order to power up Pom, before preparing her next volley of attacks- she would deliver a painful Cut right across the Scraggy's face, and follow up with a Tackle attack.

Meanwhile, Keith pressed a few buttons on his Pokédex, and three more of his Poké Balls appeared. "So, like I was saying," he said to Sophie, "I have a couple of Fighting-types myself." With that, he tossed the balls into the air, unleashing a Toxicroak, a Makuhita, and a Timburr. "This is Malfoy," he said, nodding toward the Toxicroak, "this is Helga," he added, gesturing to the Makuhita, "and this is Millicent," he finished, pointing at the Timburr. At this, Millicent tugged on Keith's pant leg and pointed at the log she had slung over her shoulder. "Right, right," Keith nodded. "And this is Willow," he added, indicating the aforementioned piece of lumber. "Long story behind that," he added.

Once Jake returned and introduced his new Chinchou, it quickly became clear that the little guy was extraordinarily timid. As Lucky was hiding behind Jake's legs, an Ivysaur slowly approached him from the side. "Hi," she softly said to the Chinchou, a friendly smile on her face. After seeing how frightened he was by a normal friendly greeting, Pomona knew she had to be careful if she didn't want to scare the little guy.

Norbert asked if he could watch the battle too. At this the antlion nodded vigorously.

He also asked if after the battle, she would want to go hunting with him, and what her name was.

''My name is Dusty, and it would be an honor to hunt with you'' The Trapinch said excited.

''But there's one problem with that, it's embarrassing to admit, but, I don't know how to hunt.''

Meanwhile, Kieth sent out three fighting types of his own, Malfoy the Toxicroak, Helga the Makuhita and Millicent the Timburr.

''Wow, a Toxicroak!'' Sophie said in suprise.
''I've read all about them, but I haven't seen one in real life'' Sophie then turned to Helga.

''And a Makuhita'' Sophie stated, before moving onto Millicent.

''Aww, your Timburr reminds me of when I first got Chikara.'' Sophie cooed as she pat her on the head.

Then Keith inroduced, Millicent's log, Willow
saying that it was a long story.

''And you even named your log? That's so cute!''

Pomona the Ivysaur slowly walked over to Lucky, before softly saying hi.

Even that was enough to make the angler jump.
''U-um, h-hi'' Lucky managed to studder.

Cyanide quickly started to use Helping Hand, boosting Pom's power.

Pom then hit with a Brick Break, knocking, Scraps health to a quarter.

Cyanide then delivered a Cut across Scraps face.

The shedding pokemon was going to hit back with Brick Break but once again couldn't bring himself to do it.

Cyanide then hit with a Tackle before Pom hit with a Swift.

Scraps then, lunged at Pom with a Jump Kick, sending the monkey up into the air. But he wasn't done yet. As Pom started falling, Scraps hit him with a blast of Toxic.

"Oh, that's OK," smiled Norbert as Dusty confessed that she didn't know how to hunt. "I can teach you how to hunt!"

Sophie showed obvious surprise at the presence of the Toxicroak, Malfoy being the first one she's ever seen in person. "And Malfoy's not your average Toxicroak, either," Keith added. "He's got a number of attacks you wouldn't normally see a Toxicroak using, like Metronome, Aqua Ring, even Heal Pulse."

Sophie then moved on to the other Fighting-types, and remarked that Millicent reminded her of when she first got her Gurdurr. Keith gestured to aforementioned evolved Fighting-type. "Yeah, see that, Millicent?" Keith said to his Timburr. "That's what you'll look like when you evolve."

"Burr Timburr!" Millicent replied, frowning and shaking her head. Keith blinked in surprise.

"Millicent, what are you saying?" he asked. However, before Millicent could answer, Willow took it upon herself to handle that instead. The log slung over Millicent's shoulder vibrated ever so slightly, as Willow's voice sounded to anyone within earshot.

"Millicent is saying that she does not wish to evolve," came Willow's voice. "I have grown accustomed to my living quarters, and Millicent does not want to risk losing me by switching to a metal beam or concrete pillars."

"So, wait," Keith said to Millicent, as though he had not just been addressed by a ghost who was inhabiting a piece of lumber. "You don't want to evolve?"

"Burr," replied Millicent, shaking her head, though she was now looking down. Now that the moment had come for her trainer to know, she was a little afraid of what he would think of that- suppose Keith would insist on evolving her? What if, Arceus forbid, he traded her away, insisting on getting a Timburr that wanted to evolve? However, as she tentatively looked up, Keith was still giving her a friendly smile.

"Well, that's OK," he said as he gently patted the Muscular Pokémon on the back. "If you don't want to evolve, I'm not about to force you to do so." Then, he turned to Sophie. "Oh, yeah, you're probably wondering about that voice," he added. "Well, remember I said it was a long story about Millicent's log? Yeah, see, she didn't exactly name it Willow... Willow is the name of the ghost that's haunting the log."

In spite of all of Pomona's precautions, the Chinchou still jumped a little at the Ivysaur's introduction. Pomona let out a tiny bit of Sweet Scent, hoping to calm Lucky down a little bit. "My name's Pomona," the Ivysaur said, still speaking softly. "What's your name?"

Meanwhile, the battle raged on. Though Pom got into the fray, Scraps managed to slam him with a super effective Hi Jump Kick, before following up with a Toxic attack. Cyanide's eyes flashed with rage at this- oh, this Scraggy was going down. First, she used Psychic, but not to attack- no, this was to rip the Pecha Berry from before out of Keith's hand and place it near Pom. "You listen to me, you fucking psychotic fathead," Cyanide Snarled at the Scraggy. "Nobody but nobody hurts Pom and lives to tell the tale!" With that, she lunged, another Cut attack at the ready.

Norbert smiled, saying that it was ok, and that he could teach her how to hunt.

''Really!?'' ''That would be an honor, sir'' Dusty said before bowing once again.

Pomona tried to calm Lucky down with a bit of Sweet Scent. Lucky's shaking started to slow down, though only a tiny bit.

Pomona then introduced herself, and asked what his name was.

''Um m-my m-my name i-s Lu-Lucky'' The angler pokemon stuttered.

He then cringed.

''Pl-please do-don't hurt m-m-me, I kn-know Supersonic a-and B-bub-bubble, s-so stay b-b-b-back''

Keith showed Millicent, Chikara, explaining to her, that that's what she would look like when she evolved.

That was when Willow spoke up, stating that Millicent didn't want to evolve, for risk of losing Willow.

Keith said it was ok, saying that he wouldn't force her to.

Meanwhile, Sophie stood there confused.
''What the hell was that voice?'' She thought.

She was just about to ask when Keith explained that it was a ghost that was haunting Millicents log.

''A ghost haunting you Timburrs log?''
''I've never heard of that before, and I know Timburr quite well, almost as much as Meinfoo'' Sophie stated.

As Scraps hit Pom with Toxic, Cyanides eyes filled with rage, she used Psychic to rip the Pecha Berry away from Keith, putting it in front of Pom, before snarling some nasty words at Scraps and then lunged at him, hiting him with a Cut.

Scraps hit the floor hard, sliding several feet back.

Pom took this opportunite, and grabbed the Pecha berry and ate it, removing the toxins from his body.

He got back up, to see that, even after all that, Scraps was still clinging on, but barely.

Pom ran at the shedding pokemon, intent on ending the battle right then and there, with a move he had just learned, Double Hit.

The move connected, and Scraps was on the floor, knocked out.

Sophie was noticed this and quickly returned Scraps to his pokeball before any more trouble could happen.

''I'm sorry, everyone for Scraos, I'm sorry'' She apologized.

Pom then turned to Cyanide.
''We won!'' He smiled.
''Well no, you won'' He quickly corrected himself. ''You dealt all the damage while I was out, I just finished him off, I was too weak to deal with him myself.'' ''I won't let that happen again, me being a siting duck, I'll be stronger, I promise''

Pom then smiled a little.
''You know that move right, the one I just used?'' Pom asked.

But before Cyanide could give an answer Pom continued.
''It's Double Hit, it's know most for it being the move an Aipom needs to learn to evolve, infact, most Aipom evolve only a couple minutes after learning the move.''
Pom explained.

Then, a white light envolped Pom.

It started turning brighter and brighter, and when the light had faded, Pom wasn't an Aipom anymore.

Pom had evolved into an Ambipom!

Norbert gave a small giggle. "You don't have to be so formal with me," he smiled. "Just call me Norbert."

The timid Chinchou introduced himself as Lucky, but then he cringed, begging Pomona to not hurt him. Pomona tilted her head in confusion. "What do you mean? I'm not going to hurt you," she replied.

As Keith had pretty much expected, Sophie was confused by Willow's voice, and was astonished to learn of the ghost haunting Millicent's log. She claimed to know a lot about Timburr, and that she had never heard of this sort of thing. "Yeah, I'm pretty sure this is a unique case," Keith replied. "See, Millicent had been in the Adoption Center before she came into my ownership," he explained. "From what I've learned, Willow went into Millicent's log to keep her company, and now they're really close.

After Cyanide attacked, Scraps was still raring to go, but seemed to be just barely hanging on. Nothing a little Tackle attack wouldn't fix, Cyanide reasoned, but before she got the chance, Pom ran at the offending Scraggy, and to the Umbreon's surprise, unleashed a powerful Double Hit, taking out the Dark/Fighting-type once and for all. Pom then turned to Cyanide, grinning, exclaiming that they won. He corrected himself, however, stating that Cyanide won, and that he merely dealt the finishing blow. "Hey, you also landed that nice Brick Break," Cyanide grinned. "You didn't do too bad out there." Despite this, Pom lamented that he was too weak to deal with Scraps himself. Cyanide shook her head, but before she could speak up, Pom vowed to never let that sort of thing happen again, promising to be stronger in the future, before explaining about the move he had just used. Cyanide already knew what it had been, and by extension, had a feeling she knew what was coming, and sure enough, once Pom had finished talking, his entire body was cloaked in a bright light- Pom was starting to evolve. The Aipom grew taller, and his single tail split into two, and as the light faded, there stood an Ambipom. Now Pom was much closer to Cyanide's height- actually, he had a few inches over her now.

Cyanide was, for a moment, speechless as she took in the sight of her newly-evolved boyfriend. Finally, she managed to speak up. "Pom," she murmured, "I didn't think it was possible for you to look any more attractive than you already were." She then slowly walked over to the Ambipom, unable to stop a grin from forming on her face. "Never have I been more glad to be wrong," she added, as she used Psychic- this time, to bring Pom's head down to her level for a kiss.

Keith, meanwhile, looked on in amazement at Pom's evolution. "Whoa," he murmured. "Congrats, Jake," he added as he dug out his Pokédex and pointed it at Pom.

"Ambipom, the Long Tail Pokémon, and the evolved form of Aipom," droned the device. "Ambipom deftly manipulates its tails to do numerous tasks. It is so skilled with its tails that it rarely uses its arms anymore."

"Wow," Keith murmured as he looked around. "This beach is beautiful. Great view of the sea, hardly any clouds in the sky, it's a beautiful day."

"Yeah," Meowth added, from his usual seat upon Keith's shoulder. "We made da right choice checkin' out Isshi Village today, fer sure. O' course, it weren't so much a decision so much as it were yer bad sense o' direction," he added.

"Har har," Keith retorted sarcastically, albeit with a grin. "Alright, so this may not have been our intended destination today, but you can't argue with results," he said, gesturing to the beautiful view.

"Yeah, ya gots a point," Meowth conceded. "I guess-"

For at that moment, the few clouds that had been in the sky, they saw fit to grow drastically in size, and then open up all at once, dumping a sudden downpour onto the group.

Keith held up a hand to stop Meowth, who had turned to Keith and opened his mouth. "Don't say it," Keith said. "Don't say it. Let's just find some shelter. Look, there's a cave in that cliff down that way," he added, and so he ran down the beach through the rain.

"Hey, dere's a door," Meowth said, pointing as they drew nearer. "A Secret Base?"

"That'd be my guess," Keith replied. "No idea whose, but as long as they'll let us wait out the storm..." He trailed off as he knocked on the door.

EpicSquirtle 08-26-2017 01:02 AM

It was a beautiful day at Sunabā Beach. The sun was shining, and the pleasant sound of Wingull could be heard as they flew overhead. Yes today was the perfect day to...stay indoors?

Ok maybe that wasn't the best thing to be doing on a hot and sunny day, but that's how things seemed to be going inside Robin's secret base.
Stretched across the living table was a rather familiar board game. Sitting around the board was Robin, along with Tessa and Voltaire.

"Alright, I believe you landed on my property." Voltaire said as he began to shuffle through his cards.
"Yep, you owe me...four hundred Pokédollars." The Emolga added with a smirk.

Letting out a small sigh, Robin handed her Emolga a small stack of fake money, something he was quite happy to accept.

After that, it fell to Tessa to make her move. Picking up a Pikachu playing piece, the Cosplay Pikachu was about to move, when Cayenne burst into the room, startling her considerably.
Following right behind him was a Jolteon, who seemed much calmer then his teammate.

"Ok ok, Hazel and me are finished now! So let's do something!" The Torchic exclaimed as he rushed to his trainer.

"I'm assuming Hazel managed to beat you?" Robin questioned. She wasn't trying to be malicious, but the result of such a battle was rather obvious.

"Yeah but it was a super close battle! I had him on the ropes!" The Torchic exclaimed. "But enough about that, let's do something! Like explore the beach!"

"Hmm, I guess we could." Robin replied, glancing out a nearby window.
"It does look pretty hot out."

No sooner had those words escaped her mouth, did the sound of thunder echo throughout the room, prompting a sharp cry from Hazel.

"So much for that." Voltaire snickered as he noticed raindrops start to splatter on the window. "I guess we have to continue playing this then, not that I mind."

"Umm..I kind of don't want to play anymore..." Tessa admitted.

"Yeah, how about we pack things up." Robin nodded.

Reluctantly following the other two, Voltaire began to help pack up the game. It wasn't long before this was interrupted though, by the sound of knocking at the door.

"Hold on, I'll grab that." Robin said as she approached the door.
"Now who could that be?" The young trainer murmured as she swung open the door.
The answer to her question, turned out to be none other then Keith and Meowth, probably one of the last two she had expected to see.

At the sight of her old friend, Robin could feel her body go numb, and her heart began to race. She could feel herself becoming dizzy as well....just what was she supposed to say? She couldn't leave them out in the rain....but at the same time...

"Umm...hi..I'm sorry..do you need something?" She managed to choke out.
"Oh I'm sorry..you probably want out of the rain right?" Robin added a moment later.
"Then you can come in...make yourselves at home." She said, before moving out of their way, allowing them access inside.

At the sight of the guests, Cayenne let out a loud squeak.
"Guests! We have guests! Come on Tessa, we've got to whip something up, and quick!" The Torchic exclaimed, before rushing onto a nearby warp tile, causing him to disappear entirely.

Letting out a small sigh, Tessa followed her teammate onto the warp panel, causing her to also disappear from the living room.

At the sight of Keith, Hazel hurried to his trainers side, quite unsure of how to feel about this turn of events.

As for Voltaire, the Emolga seemed rather preoccupied with cleaning up the large mess on the table, and paid the arrival of Keith and Meowth with nothing more then a short glance.

Missingno. Master 08-26-2017 04:09 AM

It took a moment for the young woman who answered the door to invite them in, but once she did, Keith nodded gratefully and stepped inside. "Thanks,' he replied. "Some weather, though, huh?" he chuckled. "One minute it's bright and sunny, and the next, it's like Kyogre itself cracked open the skies. Oh, cool Jolteon," he added, noticing the Electric-type who had rushed to his Trainer's side. Keith dug out his Pokédex and aimed it at Hazel.

"Jolteon, the Lightning Pokémon, and an evolved form of Eevee. An Electric-type," droned the device. "Jolteon stiffens its spikes as a defense, and can launch powerful Electric attacks. It can also move at great speeds."

"I'm sorry, where are my manners?" Keith said. "I'm Keith. Keith Masters. And this is Meowth. Now, fair warning about Meowth, he-"

"-can talk, is how he was gonna finish dat sentence," Meowth interrupted.

"...that," Keith finished feebly. "So, what's your name?" he asked Robin.

EpicSquirtle 08-27-2017 01:04 AM

After thanking her for letting Meowth and him in, Keith decided to bring up the weather of all things. It wasn't all that odd, considering the heavy rainfall outside, but it still left Robin feeling a bit uncomfortable.
She had known Keith for quite a few years, and yet the way he regarded her, it was like the Poison type specialist was talking to a complete stranger.
For all he knows, I am. The young trainer reminded herself. It had been the same for Hazel, Tessa and Voltaire. Anyone she knew from before the incident at Catalyst tower...they couldn't see her as the same person, but an entirely different one.

Realizing she had yet to respond to her guest, Robin pushed these thoughts aside, if only for a few moments.

"Yeah..kind of strange. Me and my Pokemon were just thinking of heading to the beach too." Robin said, giving a small chuckle.

After scanning Hazel with his Pokedex, Keith introduced himself. He then started to explain that Meowth could talk, before the scratch cat Pokemon finished for him.

"Wow... a talking Meowth? That's something you don't see everyday." The young trainer said, trying her best to act surprised. She was anything but surprised though.
She had seen Keith's Meowth quite a few times, and any novelty the scratch cat Pokemon had had worn off a long time ago for her.
Still, the young woman couldn't help but feel a bit worried that her fake surprise would do little to convince the pair in front of her.

With Meowth's quirk introduced, the Poison type specialist then asked Robin for her name.

"My name? It's Robin. It's nice to...meet you Keith and Meowth." She said, giving each of them a small smile.
"Oh, and this is......Hazel." She added, pointing to the Jolteon beside her.

"Hello." Hazel greeted the new guests.

"I guess we don't need to be standing around, huh? Did you want to grab a seat?" Robin offered, gesturing to her left. There, a large black table, along with four black chairs rested.
On the surface of the table, Voltaire continued to clean up the board game that had been laid out, though he seemed to be making a slow amount of progress.

"I apologize for the mess, me and Pokemon were playing a game a few minutes ago."

Missingno. Master 08-27-2017 02:10 AM

"Hazel?" Keith repeated as Robin gave the Jolteon's name. The name was sticking in his mind... why did something about it seem so familiar? For that matter, why did something about that Jolteon seem so familiar now that Keith knew its name? Why did his mind start making him want to congratulate Hazel on evolving, as if he'd seen the Jolteon before as an Eevee or someth-

Eevee. That was it- Keith remembered with a jolt (eon), back at that party he threw for Albus- among the Pokémon Jake had brought was his Eevee, named Hazel. But surely that Eevee and this Jolteon couldn't be one and the same... could they? Did Jake trade Hazel for some reason? Somehow Keith didn't think it especially likely that an Electric-type specialist would trade away a Jolteon, or a potential Jolteon.

Robin went on to react to Meowth's ability to talk. Well, perhaps "react" is too strong of a word- for someone who had literally just met them, she seemed far less surprised than she seemed to try to make herself appear to be. Nevertheless, when she offered them a seat, Keith nodded. "Yes, thank you," he replied, though he was starting to wonder about things now, wonder what exactly this Robin person's deal was, wonder if that Hazel was the same Hazel... As he took a seat, he noticed the Emolga cleaning up- Hazel was clearly not her only Electric-type. In fact, hadn't he seen a brief glance of a Pikachu as well? In fact... hadn't there been a black heart on her tail? That he couldn't say for sure, but if that were the case, a Jolteon named Hazel, and a Cosplay Pikachu? The coincidences were starting to add up. "Hey, so, Robin," said Keith. "Um... How long have you had Hazel for?" he asked. Meowth listened intently for Robin's answer- these things Keith was picking up on were not lost on him, either.

EpicSquirtle 08-27-2017 06:14 PM

As Keith grabbed one of the empty seats, Robin decided to grab the chair opposite. Hazel continued to follow his trainer, before eventually lying down beside her chair.
Once seated, Keith asked how long Robin had owned Hazel, causing the young trainer to freeze up, if only for a moment. The less questions were asked about her, the better, she reasoned.

"Oh umm...I'd say I've had him for a a fair bit of time." Robin answered, trying her best to be as vague as possible.

"So Keith...what brings you around here anyway?" The Electric-type specialist questioned.
"I don't think I've seen too many visitors here recently. Not that I've been here too long." She added a moment later.

While his trainer continued to talk to Keith, Voltaire suddenly turned his attention away from the board game, instead focusing on Meowth.
"Hello, nice to meet you." The Emolga greeted the scratch cat Pokemon.
"I couldn't help but overhear you saying you can speak human language...pretty impressive." Voltaire continued, a small smile forming on his face.
"Does your trainer have any other talented Pokemon such as yourself? An Electric type perhaps?"

Missingno. Master 08-27-2017 06:49 PM

Was it Keith's imagination, or did Robin freeze up for a second upon being asked about how long she'd had Hazel? In addition, in what was definitely not Keith's imagination, Robin's answer was almost maddeningly vague. Keith had the feeling that there was a fairly major detail he wasn't getting here, and he was determined to figure out what was going on here.

But at the moment, Robin was changing the subject, asking what brought Keith here in the first place. "Well, me and Meowth were trying to find Amperet City," he started. "A good friend of mine hasn't been seen in months, and last I saw him, that's where he was headed, so it seemed like a good place to start trying to get some info, y'know? Only thing is, I've never been there before in my life, so I didn't have the slightest idea where I was going, and we wound up here instead." He gave a small sigh, looking visibly worried. "I even saw his Ambipom a while back, apparently he got separated from him and is looking for him. That's actually kinda why I asked how long you've had Hazel- he has an Eevee named Hazel, and he specializes in Electric-types, so I couldn't help but wonder if this Hazel and that Hazel might somehow be one and the same."

Meowth hopped down to the floor to talk to Voltaire. "Heh, tanks," grinned Meowth as the Emolga remarked on how impressive his capability for human speech was. "He's got a Stunfisk and a Minun, though I dunno if he brought either one o' dem wit him today," Meowth replied. "And, uh, hey," he added, lowering his voice somewhat. "Dat Pikachu I saw fer a second goin' onto da warp panel... I tought I saw a black heart marking on her tail. Was I seein' correctly dere?" he asked. "Only eva saw one other Pikachu like dat before."

EpicSquirtle 08-28-2017 01:23 AM

Robin's heart sank considerably as Keith explained just how he had ended up in her secret base. He had originally been searching for one of his friends, who had gone missing several months ago. That friend being Robin herself, or rather, the person Keith still knew the Electric specialist as.
It was something she had never expected to hear. Robin had figured that Keith, or anyone else that knew her from before, wouldn't have cared about her absence, or even noticed at all. And while the thought of her friend caring about her absence deeply moved her, it also made things that much harder.
Could Robin bring herself to continue to pretend she didn't know Keith? That she was a total stranger to him? To do this while he seemed genuinely concerned for her? Robin didn't know if she could. But at the same time, the young trainer couldn't bring herself to confess to Keith either.

"Umm..wow, I-I'm sorry to hear that..." Robin managed to choke out.
"I hope you manage to find them though.....eventually." She added, glossing over her friends comment about Hazel entirely.
"A Stunfisk and a Minun? That sounds pretty interesting." Voltaire nodded. He was about to ask more about them, before Meowth asked a question of his own.
Apparently he had spotted Tessa when he had entered the base, and was curious if he had actually seen the black heart on her tail.

"You saw correctly. That's my teammate, Tessa." Voltaire replied.

"Pretty cute huh? I could probably introduce you to her later if you want." The Emolga offered.
"But first...you were talking about your trainer having a Minun. What are they like? If you don't mind, could you give me a brief description?"

Missingno. Master 08-28-2017 01:47 AM

Robin's response was a little on the emotional side, and she expressed hope that Keith eventually found the friend he was looking for. "Thanks, Robin. I hope so, too," Keith nodded, once again giving a small, grateful smile. "I mean, I'm willing to bet he's OK- he's a very skilled Trainer- but that doesn't mean something bad couldn't have happened, and I just hope that's not the case, y'know?" He gave another sigh, before deciding to try and change the subject somewhat. "So... do you specialize in Electric-types, too?" he asked. "Between Hazel, and that Emolga, and I think I saw a Pikachu for a split second when I first came in? I specialize in Poison-types myself."

Meowth's eyes widened as Voltaire not only confirmed that Meowth had indeed seen a black heart on the Pikachu's tail, but also revealed said Pikachu to be named Tessa. A Jolteon who shared the nickname of Jake's Eevee, that could be a coincidence, but two Cosplay Pikachu, a species even rarer and more elusive than the Pumpkasaur, and both named Tessa? Now Meowth was convinced that there was more to all this than he knew. He was barely listening as Voltaire talked about how cute Tessa was, his mind was piecing together the few facts he'd been able to learn since coming here. "...Eh? I ain't interested in her like dat, I gots a girlfriend already," Meowth finally said to Voltaire. "Wha- da Minun? Right, right, well, Anion ain't shy about expressin' herself. She speaks her opinion, and don't give a damn wat others might tink of it. And if youse eva meets her, never imply she oughta team up wit a Plusle. Trust me on dis," Meowth stated. As correct as the information he was giving Voltaire was, however, this discussion was the last thing on his mind. The identically nicknamed Pokémon, up to and including the stupidly rare, valuable, and legally untradeable Cosplay Pikachu? Robin's apparent lack of surprise at Meowth's affinity for human speech? Her showing up basically out of nowhere while Jake was missing for months? All this was leading Meowth to suspect a conclusion he himself personally would never have called, had it not been where all the clues seemed to point. He considered voicing this conclusion to Voltaire, but didn't even know how to begin to bring it up- besides, what if Voltaire didn't know? Neither Meowth nor Keith knew whether Jake had ever owned an Emolga. "Y'know wat, Voltaire?" Meowth finally spoke up. "If youse could take me ta Tessa, I'd appreciate dat. Gotta question or two fer her."

EpicSquirtle 08-28-2017 11:30 AM

Keith thanked Robin for her words, before explaining that his friend was a skilled trainer, but that something bad still could have happened to them.

"Yeah..." Robin agreed.

Much to her relief, Keith then decided to change the subject. Apparently he had noticed all three of Robin's Electric types, and wondered if she specialized in the type, before explaining his affinity with Poison types.

"I wouldn't say I have a specialty for them. I think I just happen to be running into a few." Robin said, giving her head a light shake.
"But Poison types? That's pretty cool." The young trainer added. "What are some of the kinds you have? If you don't mind me asking."
"I see. I guess lady luck is already on your side then." Voltaire chuckled, upon hearing that Meowth already had a girlfriend.

Meowth then started to explain things about the Minun Voltaire had asked about earlier. Her name was Anion, and she wasn't all too shy about expressing herself. As the scratch cat Pokemon continued to describe Anion, Voltaire's eyes widened and a large smile formed on his face.
But Meowth wasn't interested in talking about his teammate for too long, and quickly switched the subject back to Tessa.

"You want to ask Tessa a few questions?" The Emolga repeated.
"Ok sure, she should be this way." Voltaire added, before making his way over to the warp panel in the corner of the room.

"Just step on this, and we'll find ourselves in the kitchen." Voltaire explained.
"Oh, but one thing. Maybe after you're done talking to Tessa...could you see if your trainer happened to bring Anion? I kind of want to meet her, if what you've said about her is true..."

Missingno. Master 08-28-2017 12:23 PM

"Fair enough," Keith nodded as Robin explained that she just happened to run into a fair amount of Electric-types. "I got a fair few Fire-types myself, but that's not exactly my specialty. Though to be fair, I did grow up in Lavaridge Town, so Fire-types tend to remind me of home." He grinned as Robin asked about some of the Poison-types he had- far from minding the question, Keith never passed up a chance to talk about his various Poison-types.

"Well, first off, my very first Pokémon was actually a baby Koffing I rescued from a pair of Machop bullies that were attacking him," Keith began. "Nurse Joy asked me to look after Koffing for a week after she treated his injuries, and by the end of that week, the Koffing and I were pretty much best friends," he smiled. "He's now a Weezing, and probably my strongest Pokémon. But yeah- as far as all the different kinds I got, he is just the tip of the Bergmite," he grinned. "I got a Vileplume, an Arbok, a Crobat, a Venomoth, a Qwilfish, a Toxicroak, a Skuntank, a Seviper, a Victreebel, an Ivysaur and a Venusaur, a Weedle, a Kakuna, and a Beedrill, I got a Gengar- my Beedrill and my Gengar can both actually Mega Evolve," he added, adjusting his Mega Hat as he spoke. "I got a special variety of Amoonguss- I don't know if you've seen Amoonguss before, but they're mushroom Pokémon whose cap and shields look like Poké Balls- my Amoonguss, his cap and shields look like Ultra Balls instead. An old variety known as the Ultramoonguss, they were thought to have all died out by this point. Um... I got a Dustox, and in fact, I get the feeling his daughter, my Shiny Wurmple, is also gonna evolve into a Cascoon, so I might have two Dustox soon," he grinned. "I got an Ariados, a Nidoking and Nidoqueen, a Swalot, a Drapion- he's actually my Weedle's mate and my Kakuna's father- I got a Roserade, a Dragalge, a Muk, a Tentacruel, a Scolipede I ride basically everywhere, I got a Garbodor, and I got a Shiny Mareanie... I think that's all of them," he stated. "And, well, there's my Umbreon, Cyanide- obviously not an actual Poison-type, but if there was a Poison-type Eeveelution, she'd have gone for that without hesitation- she's a Poison-type at heart," he explained. "And that's actually only about half of the Pokémon I have in total," he added. "Between my Meowth and my Umbreon, you've probably already guessed I don't train Poison-types exclusively, even if they're my specialty."

"Yeah, sure, I'll ask him," Meowth nodded. He vaguely thought that this might actually be interesting to see, how Anion might interact with Voltaire, before stepping onto the warp panel. At the moment, however, this was not at the forefront of his mind- right now, he wanted answers, for both himself and for Keith, and he intended to get them.

EpicSquirtle 08-28-2017 01:18 PM

Robin could feel herself calming down slightly as Keith began to list all the Poison types he had owned. Though she had seen or heard about some of the Pokemon Keith was mentioning, a few of them she didn't know Keith even owned.
If nothing else, her friends explanation on his various Poison types was a great way to steer the conversation away from her.

After he was finished listing all of the Poison types he owned, Keith explained that he didn't exclusively train Poison types, bringing up both Cyanide and Meowth.

"Yeah, that makes sense." Robin nodded. It was the exact same way for her. Even though she specialized in Electric types (something she refused to mention to Keith), she owned a large amount of other Pokemon as well, including Cayenne.

"But a Mareanie? I don't think I've ever heard of that Pokemon before..and I know about a lot of different Pokemon." The young woman said.
"I used to have a large collection of Pokemon books...and I used to study them all the time. It was my goal to memorize everything about them for awhile." She explained.

"But enough about that....do you have that Mareanie on you? I wouldn't mind seeing it if you do. If that's ok, of course."
"Thanks, you're the best." Voltaire beamed at Meowth's response.
After that, Voltaire decided to follow Meowth onto the warp panel. In a flash of light, both Pokemon disappeared from the living room, before reappearing in a different room entirely.

"Oh, hello!" Cayenne chirped as he noticed Voltaire and Meowth.
"Welcome to Cayenne and Tessa's Kitchen Extraordinaire! Can I offer you any refreshments while we prepare your meal?" The Torchic questioned.

"We're good right now Cayenne...we're actually looking for Tessa at the moment." Voltaire explained.

"Oh, that's all? Ok! She's right over there!" Cayenne exclaimed, before pointing his head towards the kitchen equipment straight ahead. There seemed to be all sorts of things there.
A sink, a fridge, a microwave, and a cutting board, which happened to be lying on one of the counter tops. Standing on top of one of the counters was Tessa. With a tiny butter knife in hand, the Cosplay Pikachu seemed to be spreading something on the various slices of bread laid out for her.

"Looks good Tessa...what are you making?" Voltaire questioned as he approached her.

"Ah!" The Cosplay Pikachu exclaimed in surprise, dropping the butter knife she had been holding, which clattered to the floor.

"Oh Voltaire...it's just you." Tessa said as she turned around.
"Umm, I'm sorry...I made a mess for nothing..."

"It's ok...really. Anyway what I was asking wasn't really important..Meowth here actually wants to ask you a few questions." The Emolga explained.

"Uh, really? For me?" The Cosplay Pikachu questioned, before turning to the scratch cat Pokemon.
"Ok then, umm...I'll try my best to uh, answer them."

Missingno. Master 08-28-2017 01:35 PM

"Yeah, until recently, I'd never heard of Mareanie, either," Keith shrugged. "It was just a few months ago, actually- this place called Springtide Isle basically invited all sorts of Trainers to try and find various Pokémon Eggs from the Alola region. The one I ended up with hatched into a Shiny Mareanie," he smiled. "First Mareanie I ever saw, too. In fact, I've never seen a non-Shiny Mareanie in person. He nodded as Robin asked if he had the Mareanie on hand. "I do, in fact," he added, plucking the Poison Ball off his belt. "Sure, you can see her. Aster, come on out!" Keith exclaimed, tossing the ball into the air.

The ball split open, and in a flash of light, the pink Mareanie materialized, with blue stars swirling around her for a brief moment. She looked rather shy as she saw Robin, and seemed to try and hide her face behind her tentacles.

"It's alright, Aster," Keith encouraged the Brutal Star Pokémon. "This is Robin. Robin, this is Aster."

"Um... h-h-hi," Aster murmured shyly. "N-nice to m-meet you, Robin."

As Meowth and Voltaire appeared in the kitchen, they were greeted by an enthusiastic Torchic, apparently named Cayenne. At Voltaire's request, Cayenne showed them where Tessa was, and indeed, this confirmed Meowth's suspicions- he freaking recognized this Pikachu. He might not have said much to her at Albus's party, if anything, but he knew for a freaking fact he saw her there.

"Ya ain't met me formally, but I seen youse before," Meowth said to Tessa. "At Albus's party. Ya showed off yer Icicle Crash move dere. Ya probably saw me hangin' out on my Trainer's shoulder da whole time. I knows it's youse, and I get da feelin' dat dat Jolteon back dere and da Eevee dat Jake had at da party are one and da same, too, and I even got da feelin' dat Robin was tryin' ta act more surprised dat I could talk den she actually was. Wat I'm askin' is... I'm startin' to suspect dat Jake is now Robin somehow," he said, voicing the unexpected conclusion all the hints seemed to keep leading him to. "Is dis true? Cuz if it is, my Trainer oughta know- he's been worried about Jake fer months, I tink he deserves ta know his friend's OK."

EpicSquirtle 08-28-2017 02:21 PM

Keith explained that he hadn't heard of a Mareanie either, not until a few months back. Apparently various trainers had been invited to a place called Springtide Isle to find eggs from the Alola Region. That sounded oddly familiar to Robin.
Hadn't Voltaire mentioned a place called Springtide Isle back in Isshin forest? Moving away from that thought, Robin continued to listen as her friend explained that he had actually hatched his Mareanie from one of the eggs there.
The Poison type specialist then confirmed that he had brought the brutal star Pokemon, before tossing a Poison Ball in the air.

Exiting the ball was a pink Mareanie, which had blue stars swirl around her for a short moment. The strange creature seemed rather shy, and hid her face behind her tentacles upon noticing Robin.

Keith then introduced the Mareanie as Aster, and after some encouragement, the brutal star Pokemon murmured a greeting to Robin.

"It's nice to meet you Aster." Robin smiled, before turning to Keith.

"Kind of shy, huh? She actually reminds me of-" The Electric specialist began, but quickly stopped herself. She was going to finish that sentence with Lucky, her Chinchou.
The angler Pokemon was also quite shy, and seeing Aster caused Robin to reminisce on the days when Lucky was still in her care.

"Umm...I actually don't know where I was going with that." Robin said, before giving Keith a weak smile.

Meanwhile, Hazel began to watch Aster with great interest. He said nothing though, preferring to keep his distance from the Poison and Water type.
Tessa froze as Meowth explained that he had seen her back at Keith's base, during Albus's party. The scratch cat Pokemon seemed rather confident in this claim, and the Cosplay Pikachu was unsure she could convince him otherwise.

But that wasn't the worst of it. Meowth went on, speculating that Hazel was the same one as the one Jake had had back at Albus's party. He then voiced his suspicions that Jake and Robin were the same person, however that worked.
This was enough to grab Voltaire's attention. The Emolga had barely been listening to Meowth before, but now the sky squirrel Pokemon was on high alert.

If Tessa hadn't been freaked out before, she certainly was now.

"Umm..what? Y-you do know how crazy you sound..uh, right?" Tessa questioned.
"I don't know who this umm...Jake is. But my trainer, she's ummm...always been Robin..."

"Yeah, no offense Meowth, but are ok? You're asking some weird questions." Voltaire added.
"And are you sure you've seen Tessa at a party? I'm pretty sure there's other Cosplay Pikachu around Fizzytopia, Tessa certainly isn't the only one."

Missingno. Master 08-28-2017 02:42 PM

Keith would be lying if he said he wasn't curious as hell as to what Robin was getting at- she had started to mention that Aster's shyness reminded her of something or someone, but quickly stopped herself, and after a moment, stated that she wasn't sure where she'd been going with that. Keith, meanwhile, was starting to think there was definitely more to all this than he knew. He hadn't quite reached the same conclusion as Meowth just yet, but he couldn't help but think he wasn't getting the whole story just yet. "Yeah, Aster's pretty shy," he replied, deciding he wouldn't bring this up until he had some idea exactly where he'd be going with it. "My Amoonguss and Garbodor are the same way themselves sometimes."

Aster squirmed a little bit as she noticed Hazel eyeing her. "H-h-hi," she finally mumbled to the Jolteon.

Tessa definitely froze up at Meowth's questioning, and Meowth noticed it. The Cosplay Pikachu stammered out her denial of Meowth's claims, and Voltaire added that there had to be other Cosplay Pikachu in the region. "I'm positive!" Meowth responded. "And gimme a little credit here, I know dat Cosplay Pikachu are rarer den rare! And two different ones wit da same exact name, dat even act similar? Youse expects me ta believe dat's just a coincidence? Look, if I done stumbled onta some big secret here, I can understand youse wantin' ta keep it quiet, but don't go tinkin' I'm stupid, alright?" he asked. "Da whole reason we's even here today is because we got lost tryin' ta get a lead on where ta find Jake in da first place," said Meowth. "And my Trainer's sittin' in dere, all worried about his friend, and he might actually be talkin' ta dat friend and not even knowin' it... I just want da truth, is dat too much ta ask?" Meowth pleaded.

EpicSquirtle 08-28-2017 03:16 PM

Keith confirmed that Aster was pretty shy, before explaining that his Garbodor and Amoonguss were also shy at times.

"I see...yeah Hazel's pretty shy as well." Robin nodded. "Not as shy as Aster though. Well actually, he was as an Eevee, but he's improved a bit since evolving."

Deciding it wouldn't be best to stay on the topic of Hazel for very long, Robin began to think of something else to ask.

"So umm...did you bring any other Pokemon besides Meowth and Aster?" The young trainer questioned.
"If so, I wouldn't mind seeing them. I don't know how fun it would be for them though."

Not a moment after the words left her mouth, Robin realized how risky of an idea that was. She was entirely unsure of what Pokemon Keith had on him, and at least one came to mind that would ruin her entire plan.
Still, it was too late to turn back now, and so she gave Keith a small smile as she awaited his answer.
"Oh umm, hi." Hazel replied to Aster's rather shy greeting.
"I'm sorry, a-am I making you uncomfortable? I didn't mean to..." The Jolteon added.
"It's just....I've never seen a shiny Pokemon I don't think. Not in person anyway."
Meowth seemed absolutely sure that he had met Tessa before. The scratch cat Pokemon knew that Cosplay Pikachu were really rare, and pointed out how ridiculous it was to think two of them sharing the same name and mannerisms was a coincidence.
He continued, saying he understood if they were keeping a big secret, but to not regard him as stupid. The whole reason Keith and him were even here was because they were looking for a lead on where Jake was, and they had ended up getting lost.
All Meowth really wanted was to know the truth.

"I'm sorry, but umm...I really don't know what to say." Tessa replied once Meowth had finished speaking. "Uh, I'm sorry about your friend. But umm, I still have no clue what you mean."

With that, Tessa hopped off the counter, before picking up the knife she had dropped earlier. She then rushed over to the sink, not giving Meowth another moment of her time.

"Hey hey! What's going on?" Cayenne questioned as he rushed towards Meowth and Voltaire.
"I heard you guys speaking rather loudly, so I'm just a bit curious. I don't want any of my friends to be fighting!" The Torchic exclaimed.

"It's nothing Cayenne. Me and Meowth here were just about to leave. I know you don't want us in the kitchen too long." Voltaire explained.

"Huh? Nonsense! Stay as long as you want!" Cayenne exclaimed.

If looks could kill, Cayenne would have dropped dead on the spot. Upon hearing the Torchic's words, Voltaire shot the chick Pokemon a rather nasty glare, though Cayenne seemed not to notice.
"Ok well whatever. Meowth, you've asked your questions, now I think it's time for you to uphold your end of the bargain. So let's go see if Anion is here, yeah?"

Missingno. Master 08-28-2017 04:18 PM

After remarking on Hazel's former shyness, Robin then asked Keith if he had any other Pokémon on hand, mentioning she wouldn't mind seeing them. Oblivious to Robin's belated awareness of the risk inherent to this, Keith nodded. "Sure," he agreed, taking the other four Poké Balls off his belt- an Ultra Ball, a Violet Cyber Ball, a Fast Ball... and a Space Ball. "Alright," Keith said, tossing all four balls in the air. "Millicent, Jack, Anion, Luna, come on out!"

Four different kinds of Poké Ball split open. Four flashes of light ensued. And four Pokémon materialized. From the Ultra Ball appeared Keith's Timburr, her log slung over her shoulder as usual. Around her neck, she wore a string to which was tied a round and remarkably smooth rock. From the Violet Cyber Ball appeared Keith's Ditto, jiggling in place as he looked around. From the Fast Ball appeared Keith's Minun, grinning as she regarded her unfamiliar surroundings. And from the Space Ball appeared that which Robin was surely worried about- Keith's remarkably observant and psychically skilled Swoobat.

"Alright, so this is Anion, my Minun," Keith started, introducing his own Electric-type. "Anion, this is Robin.

"Hiya, Robin!" Anion said, waving up energetically at the young Trainer. "Good to meet ya!"

"And this is Millicent," Keith added, gesturing to the Timburr who waved up at Robin. "And her log goes by the name Willow- it's actually haunted by the ghost of a Leavanny. She might talk to you, so if you hear a voice emanating from the log, don't be too alarmed. And this here is Jack," he continued, gesturing to the Ditto. "He likes his pranks, but never takes 'em too far.

"Hey there-" began Jack, before noticing the Jolteon. "Oh, hey!" he exclaimed, oozing off towards the Electric-type.

"...OK," Keith remarked. "And this here is Luna," Keith added. "She's actually really talented by Psychic-type standards, so she tends to know more than most. She's very nice, though."

Luna, as Keith spoke, was flying around Robin, regarding her with an expression unreadable save for the glimmer of recognition in her eyes. After about a minute of this, the Swoobat's telepathic voice sounded, in Robin's head and her head alone. I won't tell him, Luna said. But I think you should. He's worried about you.

"Um, n-no, it's just, I... I d-didn't know why you were st-staring, and it kinda..." stammered Aster. The staring had in fact made her feel uncomfortable, but at the same time, she didn't want Hazel to think he was not welcome to talk to her.

But before Aster could attempt to elaborate on this, Jack approached them both. "Hazel? Wow, I ain't seen you in months, congrats on evolving," grinned the Ditto. "Remember me, from the party at Keith's place? In fact, lemme refresh your memory," Jack added, before Transforming into a pizza box- the exact same one he made himself look like back then, complete with the words "132 Pizzeria".

Aster was a little surprised by this. "Y-you've met Jack before?" she asked Hazel.

Meowth was seriously annoyed by this point, as Tessa continued to steadfastly deny his claims. Before he could open his mouth to even begin to retort, the Cosplay Pikachu returned to her work, no longer giving him so much as a moment of her time. Moreover, Voltaire seemed oddly eager to get Meowth out of the kitchen, even going so far as to shooting a death glare at the Torchic who so obliviously contradicted the Emolga's claims that the Fire-type would want them out ASAP. Meowth noticed this death glare as well. And at Voltaire's words, Meowth folded his arms... front legs... whatever one might want to call them. He'd asked his questions, alright, but it was the lack of answers he got to said questions that was on his mind right now.

"I promised I'd see if Anion's here if I got answers to my questions," Meowth stated. "And all I'm gettin' here is da runaround from youse and Tessa. Cayenne don't want us outta da kitchen, you do! I was right, wasn't I?" he asked Voltaire. "If youse wants ta meet Anion, I'll be glad ta make dat happen, but only if youse can actually be honest wit me fer once. Look, if it's some big secret, I promise not ta blab about it, all I'm askin' here is dat youse don't take me fer a fool."

EpicSquirtle 08-28-2017 05:25 PM

Agreeing to send out his Pokemon, Keith grabbed four Pokeballs of varying varieties, before tossing them in the air.

The first Pokemon Robin noticed emerging from their ball was a Timburr...things were already off to a bad start. After Telpo's sacrifice atop Catalyst Tower, Robin had been dreading facing Millicent, should she have found the Timburr.

The next Pokemon she noticed was a Ditto. This one wasn't as bad. Sure, the Electric type specialist had met Jack a couple times before, but his presence wasn't making her plan any harder for her.

The third Pokemon Robin laid eyes on was a Minun. Now this was a pleasant surprise. The young trainer hadn't realized Keith even owned another Electric type besides Rubeus.
Indeed, the Minun was so far one of the best choices the Poison specialist could have made, and Robin could only hope her luck would hold up for Keith's final Pokemon.

Any notion of luck was shattered as Robin laid eyes on Keith's Swoobat. Of all the Pokemon her friend could have brought, Luna was definitely the last one she wanted to see.
She was screwed. In her desperation to change subjects, the young woman had destroyed her plan in it's entirety. A Pokemon as perceptive and psychically skilled as Luna would easily be able to recognize her...even if the others didn't.
Even at the sight of Luna, Robin tried her best to appear calm, hoping that Luna wouldn't recognize her. The chances of that happening were rather low though, and the young trainer could feel her entire body go numb at the thought of addressing the Swoobat.

Keith started by introducing his Minun, named Anion.

"It's...nice to meet you Anion." Robin greeted, giving the Minun a weak smile as the cheering Pokemon waved energetically at her.

Next on the list of introductions was Millicent and Willow. Receiving a wave from the Timburr, Robin waved back, but said nothing more.

Continuing on, the next Pokemon Keith introduced was Jack. But before Robin could say anything to the Ditto, the transform Pokemon had begun to ooze off towards Hazel.

Now there was just one Pokemon left to introduce. Luna. As Keith began to talk about the Swoobat, she started fly around Robin, causing her heart to race faster then before.
After what felt like ages, the sound of Luna's voice rang in Robin's head, filling the Electric type specialist with dread.

Much like she had predicted, Luna indeed recognized Robin. She promised the young woman that she wouldn't tell Keith, but that the young trainer should do it herself. Keith was obviously worried about her.

I'm sorry, I can't. Robin thought, before turning her attention to Keith.

"Wow, y-you seem to have...quite the cast with you." She said, giving her friend a small smile.

But despite the smile, the young trainer was anything but happy.
I really wish he had forgotten about me, then I wouldn't have to be in this mess. Robin thought, forgetting that Luna could read her thoughts, if she chose to.
And now I have to contend with that stupid Swoobat as well...
As Aster began to stammer out a response, Hazel couldn't help but feel more then a little guilty. We was merely curious at the sight of a shiny Pokemon, but it was clear to see he had made the Mareanie rather uncomfortable.

But before he could apologize to the brutal star Pokemon, Jack oozed towards the pair. He seemed surprised to see Hazel, obviously recognizing the Jolteon.
After congratulating him on evolving, Jack asked the lightning Pokemon if he remembered him from before. To rejog his memory, the Ditto then transformed into a pizza box.

Aster seemed a little surprised by these events, and asked Hazel if he had met Jack before.

Gritting his teeth, Hazel glanced towards his trainer. She wouldn't want him to spill the beans on this...and he certainly didn't want to disappoint her.
But at the same time, the Jolteon knew that it would be hard, if not impossible, to convince Jack that he wasn't the same Hazel from the party.

"Umm...yeah I do." Hazel replied. "It's umm...nice to see you again Jack..."
Crossing his arms, Meowth stated that he promised he'd introduce Voltaire to Anion if he got the answer to his questions. The scratch cat Pokemon then pointed out that it wasn't Cayenne that wanted him out of the kitchen, but Voltaire himself.
Meowth then questioned if he was right about his earlier questions, before hanging his introduction to Anion over Voltaire's head. He was only going to introduce the Emolga to the Minun if he was honest to him. The scratch cat Pokemon did agree to keep quiet if it was a big secret though.

Letting out an audible sigh, Voltaire turned to address Cayenne.
"We're going to be going now, thanks for...umm..something." Voltaire said.
The Emolga then began to walk towards the door out of the kitchen, but stopped as he reached it.

"Ok Meowth, if you want your answers, you're going to have to come with me." He said, beckoning the scratch cat Pokemon over.

Missingno. Master 08-28-2017 06:03 PM

Outwardly, Robin seemed happy to meet the various Pokémon Keith sent out. But inwardly, as Luna knew full well, it was a whole other swarm of Yanma. The Swoobat picked up on Robin's thoughts loud and clear, both the ones intended for her and the ones not so much intended for her. Up to and including the part where she called Luna stupid, though Luna knew better than to take personal offense there- Robin very clearly did not want Keith to know who she really was.

Why not? Luna's voice sounded in Robin's head once more, as the Swoobat tilted her own head. Do you think Keith would be anything other than happy to see you again and relieved that you're OK? There is no reaction he would have to the truth that you have any need to fear, she stated simply.

"Yeah," Keith nodded in response to Robin's words, unaware of the telepathic conversation between her and Luna. "My Pokémon are a very varied bunch. Some of them really have unique stories, too. One of my Banette, for example- for a while she refused to tell me what she was in life, because, well, she was a Missingno., and she grew up knowing nothing but hatred from people who feared and loathed the species. What she didn't know, though, was that not only do I actually really like Missingno., and always wanted to catch one, she had in fact saved me from drowning when I was seven. Eventually, she worked up the courage to tell me the truth, and far from the reaction she feared, it only made us even better friends," he smiled.

Jack turned back into his gelatinous form, grinning. "Good to see you again, too," he stated. "Luna told me Hayai evolved too, is he around?" He glanced around, before addressing the Jolteon once more. "For that matter, where's Jake?" he added. "I mean, if you're here, Jake's gotta be, right? And Keith says Jake's been missing for months, I was supposed to be helping him find him today..."

Voltaire sighed, and finally gave in, leading Meowth out of the kitchen, promising some answers. "Finally," Meowth muttered with a grin, before following Voltaire, happy he was finally gonna get some actual answers.

EpicSquirtle 08-29-2017 01:37 AM

Upon hearing that Robin couldn't tell the truth to Keith, Luna questioned just why that was.
As perceptive as ever, Luna managed to pinpoint exactly what was bothering the young trainer, asking if she thought Keith's reaction would be anything other then happy and relieved.
Still, Robin supposed it didn't take a genius to figure that one out.

How can you be so sure? It's not a risk I'm willing to take. The Electric specialist thought, after Luna had tried to reassure her about Keith's reaction.
I'd rather he forget about me, it'd be easier then risking him hating me. This is kind of embarrassing anyway...

Whoops, Robin definitely hadn't meant to give that last bit of information to Luna. But it was far too late now, the Swoobat had surely been able to hear that. She would just have to be more careful in the future, Robin supposed.

Distracted by her talk with Luna, Robin had totally forgotten about her conversation with Keith! Turning her attention back to her friend, the Poison type specialist started to tell the young woman about one of his Banette.

Initially, the marionette Pokemon refused to tell Keith about her past life, due to being a Missingno., a species she knew to be feared and hated by many. But as it turned out, Keith was actually a huge fan of Missingno..
And once the Banette finally found the courage to tell Keith, she got a completely different reaction from what she feared, and they ended up becoming better friends.

"Huh, that's a...nice story." Robin replied, giving a Keith a weak smile.
She wasn't lying, the story was quite a nice one, but the young trainer couldn't help but compare it to what she was currently going through. The story with the Banette was definitely relatable....almost too relatable...
Did Keith know more then he was letting on? Or had Luna went behind the young woman's back and told her trainer the truth? Or perhaps....was she just being paranoid?
Robin wasn't quite sure, but she knew that Luna would probably say something about it, considering her thoughts were an open book to the Swoobat. The question was, could she trust Luna's response?
Hazel knew it was coming. After revealing himself to be the Eevee from the party, Jack was quick to question where Hayai was. Or Jake for that matter.

"Umm...Hayai....I don't know where he is.." Hazel replied.
"Most of my teammates are....currently gone actually." The Jolteon added.
"But Jake....he's....actually gone too. Yeah..."
With Meowth following him, Voltaire led the scratch cat down a small hallway, before stopping in another room. This one was much bigger then any of the others Meowth would have seen inside Robin's base. In front of them appeared to be an arena, used to host Pokemon battles.
Looking around the room, and even behind himself a few times, Voltaire finally locked eyes with Meowth.

"Ok listen...before I tell you anything...I need you to promise me something." The Emolga whispered.
"First of all...you didn't hear this from me, ok? I can't imagine what would happen to me, if my trainer or teammates found out I'm telling you this."
"And second, you must keep this a secret. From everyone. That includes your trainer." Voltaire continued to whisper. "If you want to get your answers, that's the price, alright? Now if these terms are agreeable, then we shall proceed."

Missingno. Master 08-29-2017 02:01 AM

Luna's expression did not change as she perceived Robin's response. Because I know Keith, she replied simply. I know him well. Better than many are able to say. Certainly well enough that his ownership enabled me to evolve. She paused while Robin listened to Keith talking about his Banette, then continued. I do not break promises, the Swoobat continued. I have not told Keith a thing. That he chose to tell that particular story, I believe it to be pure coincidence. Regardless of why he chose to relate that story, however, I'm glad he did, for I think it illustrates the point I'm trying to make quite nicely. Keith Masters is not someone who can easily be made to hate someone, least of all someone he considers a good friend, such as you. He fell in love with the Banette who tried to kill him in 2012. After learning about the incident with your father in the Bar, he not only accepted that it was not your fault, but also hastened to stop you from killing yourself. And as he already mentioned, he has not only noticed your months-long absence, but has actively tried to find you. What I'm trying to say is, if ever there was a person you could entrust with the truth about yourself and not need to fear hatred, you are standing before him here and now. I would stake my pride as a Psychic-type on this.

"Thanks," Keith nodded as Robin called the story nice. "I got other stories about my other Pokémon, too, though if it's OK, I'd actually like to hear any stories you got about your Pokémon, Robin," he added.

"Gone?" Jack repeated. "What the... how'd that even happen? And, what, you can't find Jake either?"

"C-c-can I help in any w-way?" Aster piped up, sounding concerned.

Meowth followed Voltaire to a large room, one which seemed quite well suited for Pokémon battles. After checking to ensure they were alone with levels of paranoia that would make Ginny proud, the Emolga spoke up, first to tell Meowth that he was not to tell anyone who his source was, and second, that what he was about to learn was to be kept a secret from everyone, Keith included. Meowth immediately got the feeling that this would end up being something he'd want to tell Keith straightaway, but on the other hand, he really friggin' needed to know. "Alright, I agree," he relented.

EpicSquirtle 08-30-2017 01:53 AM

Just as Robin had predicted, Luna chimed in as the Electric type specialist called into question whether the Swoobat had gone behind her back.

After saying that she didn't break promises, Luna continued on with the point she was trying to make early. Though the Swoobat believed that Keith had picked the story by pure chance, it helped to demonstrate what Luna was trying to say.
Bringing up both the incident when the young woman had killed her father, or her suicide attempt four years ago, Luna pointed out that Keith had been there for her in both cases. The Poison type trainer had accepted that the murder wasn't Robin's fault, and was quick to stop her attempt to take her own life.
Even now, Keith had not only noticed her absence, but was even putting an effort into finding her.

Hearing these things put into perspective, it made Robin realize something. As much as she hated to admit it, Luna was right. Keith had done a lot for her, and had proven to be a good friend. But did she truly deserve it?
The only thing that she had really done for Keith, was create drama he didn't need to be involved in...or even causing him worry, as was the case now.

As these thoughts continued to drift in the Electric type trainer's mind, she turned her attention back to her conversation with Keith, only to catch the tail end of it.

Having two conversations going at once was certainly hard, and something the young woman had little experience at. If she wasn't neglecting what Keith had been saying, her conversation with Luna surely would have taken a back seat.

"Oh, umm...I'm sorry." Robin apologized. "I didn't quite catch that...I kind of spaced out for a moment. Sorry."

With that taken care of, Robin once again began to focus on what she was going to say to Luna.

You're right, I think Keith should know the truth. The young trainer thought.
But I don't think I can tell him. I'm too much of a coward it seems. I'm sorry to disappoint you.
"T-that's right." Hazel replied to Jack's questions. "It's....a long story on how we got split up though."

"B-but I don't think trying to find them....I don't think it'd be a great idea." The Jolteon added, this time addressing both Jack and Aster.
"Ok good." Voltaire nodded as Meowth agreed to his conditions.

"Well then...you were already on us about it earlier...so to start, yes, both Hazel and Tessa are the same ones you saw at your party." The Emolga whispered.
"Anyway, your real question...you asked if your trainers friend and Robin, if they were the same, yeah? Well..umm..." Voltaire trailed off, before clearing his throat.
"That's also true. They're the same person." The Emolga finished. "No I don't know how that exactly happened, Tessa only gave me the brief details."

"But now that you know, I thought I'd make you aware of something." Voltaire said, turning back to his normal volume.

"I have some friends....friends you wouldn't exactly want to meet in a dark alley. Should I hear you blabbed about anything you heard here, well, let's just say all nine of your lives might...disappear."

Missingno. Master 08-30-2017 02:21 AM

Robin would be able to hear the small sigh Luna thought in response to her own thoughts. She did agree that Keith ought to know, but also claimed to be too cowardly to be the one to tell him. She believed, as Luna could pick up on, that all she did was cause unnecessary drama or worry in Keith's life. Coward? Luna repeated telepathically. The way Keith tells the story of how you two infiltrated Hagane Labs, you don't sound like a coward. I believe "pretty awesome" were his exact words. And besides, even if all you did was cause him unnecessary drama and worry, which I sincerely doubt to be the case, you have here a perfect opportunity to stop his worrying, don't you? A pause. I think you do deserve a friend like Keith, she added. Like I said, I won't tell him. Not unless you want me to, but I think this is something he ought to hear from you.

Keith was a little puzzled, as well as a little concerned, as Robin apologetically claimed to have spaced out and missed his previous words. The last time this happened was when Luna was having a telepathic conversation with the person in question at the same time, but Luna almost never did that while Keith was talking to the person, not unless it was something the Swoobat deemed of vital importance. "It's fine," Keith replied, electing not to bring it up for the moment. "I was saying that I got a lot of stories about my Pokémon, and then I asked if you'd be willing to tell me the stories behind any of your Pokémon. I'd like to hear 'em."

"Not a good idea- wha- that don't make no sense," the Ditto stated. "If I got separated from Keith here, I'd be going nuts trying to reunite with the guy, and I don't even wanna know how Aster would deal with being separated from him. So, what, this Robin person's just your new Trainer now, and it's like Jake never existed or something? There's gotta be more to it then that, c'mon."

Meowth listened as Voltaire confirmed Meowth's suspicions. "I knew it!" Meowth declared as quietly as he could. "Dere was way too many coincidences pilin' up fer it all ta really be coincidence! And I knew Robin weren't dat surprised by my talkin'! Dat's why it was like she knew, cuz we met before!" Then, however, Voltaire gave a rather dark threat, making mention of friends of his, friends Meowth wouldn't want to tangle with. "Youse can spare me da mobster movie garbage," Meowth retorted. "I already promised I wouldn't tell, and I don't break promises dat easy. Speakin' o' which, I gots a Minun ta introduce ya to, don't I? But I will say dis," he added. "Even if I ain't da one ta tell him, someone's gotta fill Keith in on dis. Jake- er, Robin's his friend. I weren't lyin' earlier, da whole reason we ended up here was because we was out tryin' ta find Jake. Keith's worried about his friend, and I hate seein' him worried. And if yer tinkin' dis'll freak him out, I'd like ta point out his girlfriend's da Banette from da Halloween 2012 incident. He don't freak out easy." Meowth paused to take a breath. "I ain't gonna tell him, even if I did find yer threat ta be threatenin', but I stands by wat I said- if not me, den someone's gotta let him know. Now c'mon," he added, turning to leave the room. "Ya wanna meet Anion or not?"

EpicSquirtle 08-30-2017 12:52 PM

To try and prove that Robin wasn't a coward, Luna brought up how she and Keith had infiltrated Hagane Labs. According to the Swoobat, Keith had described the event as "pretty awesome".

While at the time, Robin could see why Keith would describe the raid as awesome, the mere mention of Team Catalyst left a bitter taste in her mouth. Not only that, but Sophie and Keith had been the two who managed to pull anything off.
The best thing she had done, was help in the battle against one of the Catalyst admins. Even then, Keith had to jump in to save the day when several of her Pokemon had been brainwashed. If anything, the story only helped further prove Robin's point, at least in her mind.

Luna continued, pointing out that even if the Electric type trainer was causing Keith needless drama and worry (something that the Swoobat doubted), that Robin had a perfect chance to stop his worrying.

I know but... Robin trailed off. Not a single excuse was coming to mind at that moment.

Instead, the young trainer turned her attention back to Keith, just as the Poison type specialist repeated what Robin had previously missed.

"A story about one of my Pokemon?" She questioned. "Umm, let think about that for a moment."

Racking her brain for a safe story she could tell Keith, the young trainer was left feeling stumped. Of the Pokemon she had available, none of them had any great stories..none that Robin could share to Keith, anyway. But one Pokemon kept popping into her head. Telpo.
Was it Luna's mention of Hagane Labs that prompted it? Or was it the Abra's recent sacrifice that kept him drifting in the young woman's mind?
Regardless, it didn't take long before Telpo's final words came rushing back to her. The Abra had wanted his trainer to inform Millicent of what had transpired, as well as to apologize to her. And to do that....she had to inform Keith as well right? She had to do this then.

Not just for Keith, but for Telpo and Millicent as well.

"Look Keith...I was umm...thinking maybe...I could tell you a story about myself instead." Robin murmured. "I-if you're ok with that..."
Jack seemed to find little sense in Hazel's words. After stating that he'd go nuts trying to find his trainer if they were separated, the Ditto questioned if Robin was just Hazel's new trainer, like Jake had never existed.

"It's umm...not that...but...it's raining right? No point looking when it's raining." Hazel said, giving Jack a weak smile.
"B-besides...I wouldn't even know...where to start. This world..it's a pretty big place."
Voltaire seemed a little offended as Meowth called his bluff, stating that it was "mobster movie garbage".

The Emolga was about to speak up, but stopped himself as Meowth brought up Anion once again. The scratch cat Pokemon also went on about some 2012 Halloween event, but Voltaire was hardly listening anymore.
Already the Emolga was coming up with all sorts of scenarios involving him and Anion, Meowth was just about the last thing on his mind.

But with another mention of Anion from the scratch cat Pokemon, Voltaire snapped back to reality.
"Right, I'm coming." The Emolga smiled before rushing past Meowth and out the door, before eventually reaching the kitchen.

"Oh you're back! I just wanted to let you know that your food will be served shortly! Be sure to let the others know!" Cayenne chirped, upon noticing Voltaire.

"Ok yeah." Voltaire said, brushing the Torchic off.
He then stopped beside the warp panel in the corner of the room, waiting for Meowth to step on it first.

Missingno. Master 08-30-2017 01:15 PM

Luna's expression finally changed, albeit slightly- the smallest of smiles crossed her face as Robin's thoughts trailed off, the Electric-type specialist trying and utterly failing to think of any sort of plausible excuse to not tell her friend the truth. Robin told Keith she needed to think for a moment, and Luna could tell that Robin couldn't think of anything that was both worth telling and didn't blow her cover. Finally, she asked Keith whether she could, instead of talking about any of her Pokémon, tell him a story about herself. "Well sure," Keith nodded. "Sure, I'm fine with that, I'd love to hear it." He sat back, paying attention, waiting to hear what Robin had to say.

Jack raised a single jiggly eyebrow in response to the weak excuse Hazel gave. "Ehh, well, I dunno- the rain don't bother me much," he admitted. "Me, I got the luxury of just turning into a Lombre or something, and suddenly I'm loving the rain, y'know? But yeah, you got me with not knowing where to start looking. That's what we were doing, me and my Trainer- we're looking for a lead on where to start looking for Jake. Last Keith knew, Jake was headed to somewhere called Amperet City."

"I'll let 'em know," Meowth nodded to Cayenne before stepping on the warp panel. As soon as they were back where they'd started, Meowth pointed to the yellow and blue Electric-type Keith had sent out. "Dat's her," he said. "Looks like Keith really did bring her."

EpicSquirtle 08-30-2017 02:44 PM

Robin couldn't help but squirm in her seat as Keith's attention was cast at her.

"Ok, well umm...y-you see, before I start the story...there's umm....something you need to know." The young trainer began.

"You mentioned your friend earlier....t-the one going to Amperet City, h-how you were trying to find them, yes? Well you umm...." Robin trailed off, unable to finish her sentence.
With her face flushed a beat red, the Electric type specialist found herself looking at her shoes, unable to make eye contact with Keith.

Deep breaths, deep breaths.

"You don't have to k-keep looking.....you've come to the r-right place." Robin continued. "W-what I'm trying to say is......umm....I'm...I'm that friend. The one you knew to be Jake."

"I-I know that might be hard to believe...b-but it's the truth....you can ask Luna, if you don't believe me." The young woman murmured.
"I-if you're still willing to listen to me...I-I can tell you how all this happened though..."
"I see...." Hazel said upon hearing what Jack and his trainer had originally been looking for Jake.
Lost in thought, the Jolteon began to debate if it would wise for him to tell Jack where they had last been. Surely the Ditto would ask him soon enough about where he had last seen his trainer, right? But telling Jack would just lead the Ditto and his trainer to another dead end...
Luckily for Hazel, the Jolteon didn't have too long to debate this. Catching his trainer's confession to Keith, the Jolteon gave Jack a weak smile. Confused as he was about his trainer's change of heart, it certainly made things easier for the lightning Pokemon.

"Did you...catch that? If so...I think you can understand...why I've been sticking with Robin."
Upon returning to the living room, Meowth pointed to the Minun Keith had sent out.

"Oh! It seems luck is on my side today. She seems just as beautiful as I thought she'd be." Voltaire smiled, before turning to Meowth.

"Thanks for the help, but I think I've got this from here. Farewell for now." He said, giving the scratch cat Pokemon a quick wave, before rushing over to Anion.
"Hello there." Voltaire greeted the Minun, once he had approached her.
"My name's Voltaire..I'm one of Robin's Pokemon, if you couldn't tell. It's a pleasure to meet you."

Robin seemed to squirm in response to the attention Keith was paying to her, before stating that there was something Keith needed to know before the story could be told. Keith waited patiently as she seemed to try and work up the courage to actually say it, but in the end, she told Keith that he no longer needed to try and find the friend he was looking for- that friend was in fact her.

Keith's eyes widened, understandably surprised by this statement. Robin added that he could verify this with Luna, and even as she said this, the Swoobat nodded, confirming Robin's words as truth, but Keith had actually found himself rather inclined to believe Robin- she referred to the friend by name, and Keith had not at any point actually said this friend's name to be "Jake" during this visit.

Seconds later, once the initial shock wore off, however, Keith's look of surprised changed... to a relieved smile. "It's really you?" he said to Robin. "I... Wow. I... I'm glad you're OK," he smiled. "I would say I didn't see this coming in the slightest, except when I think back... this actually kinda explains one thing me and Peeves were wondering about- when Telpo said it'd take a lot to make you look like a girl, back when we were disguising ourselves, you seemed to flinch, like you took it as an insult or something." He nodded as Robin offered to tell Keith how it happened, looking very interested in hearing it. "I'll say it again, I'd love to hear it," he said, his tone of voice one of sincere interest. Luna said no more, but merely flew around behind Keith, looking interested in hearing the story, as well as giving Robin a small, "I-told-you-so" kind of smile.

Meowth, meanwhile, climbed back onto Keith's shoulder as Voltaire went to meet Anion. "Wat'd I miss?" Meowth asked.

"A fairly important detail, actually," Keith replied. "As it turns out, we ended up on the right track to finding Jake after all- Jake and Robin are one and the same."

Meowth had not expected Keith to have known this already, considering how hard Voltaire tried to get him to keep it a secret. Still, though, a promise was a promise. "I had a feelin'," Meowth nodded. "Dat Pikachu we saw on da way in? Dat was Tessa. Exact same Cosplay Pikachu from Albus's party. Not ta mention, Robin weren't nearly as surprised at me talkin' as she tried ta seem, I could tell dat right away. It sounds like we's missed out on a lotta stuff ova da past few months, yeah?" he asked Robin.

"It seems so," nodded Keith. "Robin's just about to fill us in on it, if you want to listen."

"Yeah, I'll listen," Meowth nodded. "We been wonderin' where youse was da past few months in any case," he said to Robin. Even Millicent was paying attention by this point- she and Willow had both heard Robin's confession, and the Timburr at least looked interested in hearing the story- it was hard to tell if Willow was interested just by looking, of course.

Before Hazel could say much else, Robin had told Keith the truth, and Jack overheard it. "...I caught it, yeah," the Ditto nodded, looking quite surprised. "That... that would explain it, yeah. You're not looking for your Trainer because you never lost your Trainer."

"Oh, s-so, she's the friend K-Keith was having us help him l-look for?" Aster asked, glancing up at Robin.

"That's the one, yeah," Jack nodded. "Ah, geez," he added to Hazel. "This was some kinda big secret, wasn't it, and I just kept asking away, I didn't even realize I was prying into something like that. Sorry about that," he apologized to the Jolteon.

Anion grinned as the Emolga introduced himself. "Hiya," the Minun replied. "The name's Anion, good to meet you, too!"

EpicSquirtle 08-30-2017 04:37 PM

Much like Luna had said, Keith seemed rather relieved to hear the truth. Surprised no doubt, but that was to be expected.
After the surprise had worn off, Keith was quick to bring up what had happened at Hagane Labs, saying that it made sense her reaction to Telpo's words regarding her disguise.

"Oh that...I-I didn't realize you noticed that..." Robin murmured.

It was then that Keith expressed his interest in hearing the story she had been meaning to say. He wasn't the only either. Meowth also seemed rather interested, as did Millicent and Luna.

"Ok.....i-it's a long story though." Robin began, still kind of uncomfortable over her recent confession.

"I'll start after I left Hagane Labs. I told you Keith that I was going to Amperet City, along with Telpo, r-right? Well me and Telpo made it, and I ended up registering for the tournament that was being hosted there. But before I could advance very far....some agents from the CPA approached me.
It turns out that Amperet City is home to a somewhat famous museum, and inside it is a Pokeball, able to catch any Pokemon. Team Catalyst had managed to raid the place, in order to snatch it....." The young trainer continued.

".....So after Zack confessed to being a former member of Team Catalyst, he told us where their hideout was. With the Pokeball in their grasp, I joined Zack, Sophie, one of my friends, and the other agents of the CPA, and we ended up traveling to their base....."
".....I eventually reached the top of the tower, and managed to beat Team Catalyst's leader....but as it turns out, things weren't as we thought about Team Catalyst. As it turns out, t-they were actually trying to destroy Project X, because it had apparently went insane....."

".....Then I find out that Sophie had been lying to us. I-It turns out...she was Project X, and had been using everyone in order to kill Team Catalyst and get her revenge....."
".....Just when I had given up hope, Hazel managed to snatch my Thunder Stone, and evolved into a Jolteon. That was just enough of a power boost, and Hazel managed to defeat Project X....."

".....But then Zack managed to capture Project X with that special Pokeball I mentioned. It turns out he was well aware of Sophie's true identity. He had been lying about Team Catalyst and the CPA, and was using them both in order to steal Project X for himself....."
".....After Telpo teleported us out, we arrived in a strange place, apparently linked between this world and the spirit world....."

".....So we climbed to the top of the mountain, and the gatekeeper revealed we could return here on one condition. Apparently my body had started to decay on the hike up the mountain, and so the only way back is if I changed forms completely. Like reincarnation....."
".....Eventually I woke up in this village, and I was granted this place as a home." Robin finished.

"I-I'm sorry..I said it was going to be a long story...b-but I think I got everything."

Everything but one detail. She thought. As she had told the story, she had purposely excluded the part where Telpo stayed behind. The Electric type trainer couldn't bring herself to tell anyone that part...not yet anyway.
Hazel simply nodded as Jack made light of the situation. The Ditto then apologized for prying, considering how big of a secret it turned out to be.

"It's...fine. You didn't know..so it's understandable that....y-you'd have some questions.
"Anion that's a very beautiful name....perfect for you then." Voltaire smiled, before giving the Minun a quick wink.
"So Anion, what do you like to do for fun? I'm sure we can find something to do...unless you're just into chatting, that's fine too."

Missingno. Master 08-30-2017 05:14 PM

Robin warned them that it was a long story, but this did absolutely nothing to deter Keith. Considering what he'd set out to do that morning, what he'd planned on devoting the entire day to doing, Robin's confession had just cleared up his schedule for the entire day. And so Robin launched into the story- the museum in Amperet City, targeted by Team Catalyst due to them possessing what sounded like some variety of Master Ball. Zack, after confessing to having formerly belonged to Team Catalyst, told her where the hideout was, and so she went there, fighting her way past every line of defense Team Catalyst could throw her way. However, she learned the truth about Team Catalyst- far from being the bad guys, their goal was to destroy Project X because it had gone insane. And then came a huge plot twist- Sophie was Project X.

Jack's reaction to this was immediate, as he Transformed into a copy of his own Trainer. "Sophie is Project X?!" the Ditto exclaimed, sounding stunned. "Ah, geez, if only I'd realized this! I could've talked to her, one Ditto to another..."

"Come to think of it, it sounded to me like her beef with Team Catalyst was more personal than she was letting on," Keith remarked. "And for that matter, that explains how she was able to lure those Catalyst grunts to the alley- they were looking for Project X, and, well..."

He stopped, however, to let Robin continue her story- this was when Hazel swiped the Thunder Stone and evolved into Jolteon, and actually defeated Project X. However, if Keith had thought Sophie's identity was the biggest plot twist of the day, he was about to be proven very, very wrong.

Zack. Zack was the mastermind behind everything. He caught Project X with the aformentioned special Poké Ball, he knew who Sophie had been the entire time, and he had been the one feeding lies to both Team Catalyst and the CPA, playing them against each other, using them as pawns in his bid to btain Project X for his own diabolical ends. Telpo had managed to Teleport them out, but he somehow got them to somewhere between this world and the spirit world instead of anywhere remotely resembling safety. Eventually, they reached the gatekeeper, who revealed that they could only return if she had agreed to be reincarnated in a completely different body, seeing as her old one was already starting to decay. This led to Robin waking up in the nearby village, and making this cave her home.

Keith was blown away. "...Zack was using us?" he finally managed. "All that stuff he told us about Team Catalyst was just a bunch of lies? And... I... What even..."

"Yeah, see, that guy's just the worst kind of person," frowned Jack. "If I ever see him again, he'll wish I hadn't, I'll tell you that right now."

Keith nodded as Robin apologized for the length of her story. "Don't sweat it, I told you I wanted to hear it," he assured her. "But holy crap, I can't believe all that happened..."

"I have a question," Millicent spoke up. "How did Telpo manage to Teleport you to a different world?"

"Millicent's got a point," Meowth piped up. "Hebenon and Chromium have screwed up wit Teleport before, but dis is a new one on me."

Keith nodded, though said nothing. If Telpo had somehow accidentally Teleported them to a world between this one and the spirit world, he had a grim feeling as to what that could mean... he didn't voice this concern, however- not within earshot of Millicent, he didn't want to worry her over nothing if he ended up being wrong. He did, however, look at Robin as though silently repeating what his Pokémon asked.

Aster approached Hazel. "Um... I-I didn't want to make you think I d-don't like talking to you," the Shiny Mareanie stated. "Th-the staring was making me a-a little uncomfortable, b-but I'm j-just sometimes very shy l-like that..."

At Voltaire's question, Anion's grin widened. "I like a good battle," she responded. "How about you?"

EpicSquirtle 09-01-2017 01:09 PM

As Robin told her story, she received quite a few surprised reactions, both from Jack and Keith. This was to be expected though, considering the contents of her story.
Once she was done, Robin went to address what Keith and Jack had said, but stopped as the question of how Telpo had teleported to a different world was raised by Millicent.
According to Meowth, two of his teammates had messed up Teleport before, but nothing like what Telpo had done.

"Well umm...I-I'm actually not sure." Robin lied. "Maybe the energy surrounding Project X was enough to change Telpo's capabilities with Teleport?"

Did that even make sense? The Electric type trainer wasn't sure, but that was the excuse she was sticking with, at least for now.

"On an unrelated note though...Millicent you just reminded me of something. Can you come with me? I-I need to speak to you privately." Robin said before rising out of her chair.

"It won't be long, I promise."
"No, it's...my fault." Hazel replied once Aster had approached him.
"I'm...not really good at talking...or anything involving s-social interaction really. So, I-I'm sorry for...making you uncomfortable."
I'm a fan of battles myself...it really gets my heart racing. Only a few other activities can claim to be nearly as exciting." Voltaire replied.

"Hmm...a thought just occurred to me. You see, my trainer has a battle room downstairs. If you want, maybe we could have a battle there? I'm sure you'll be just as charming on the battlefield as you are now." The Emolga smiled.

"Only if you want to of course. I wouldn't want to force you into saying yes."

Missingno. Master 09-01-2017 07:21 PM

"It's... possible?" Keith murmured in response to Robin's theory about how Teleport went the way it went. "But then, Sophie was with us when Duosion Teleported us that day and nothing screwy happened..."

Millicent nodded in response to Robin's request. "Sure," she replied, sounding uncertain as to what this could be about. Actually, just sounding uncertain in general. Where was Telpo? Robin and Hazel were right here,so surely so should Telpo, right? And what was this vague unease the Timburr was feeling? Almost as if whatever Robin wanted to talk to her about wasn't gonna be good?

Once Robin and Millicent (and Willow) had gone off to talk in private, Keith turned to Meowth. "I got a bad feeling, Meowth," Keith murmured.

"Wat do ya mean?" asked Meowth.

"I mean, Telpo's Teleport somehow gets them to the world between this one and the spirit world?" Keith said quietly. "Remember what Peeves said about the spirit world? That sometimes the living can make it to the entrance if taken along by the recently deceased?"

"Yeah but- oh. Ohhhhhh," Meowth whispered, eyes widening as he realized what Keith was getting at. "So youse tinks-"

"I hope to Arceus I'm wrong... but yeah, right now that's my best guess," nodded Keith.

"Shit..." murmured Jack. "Yeah, I hope you're wrong about this, too," he nodded to Keith. "This... I don't even wanna know how Millicent would take it..."

"If she's anyting like her Trainer, very badly," Meowth murmured.

"I-it's OK, r-really," Aster stammered. "I-I'm not very good with th-that kind of thing either..."

"Heh, now you're talking!" Anion grinned as Voltaire suggested they battle downstairs. "Yeah, now that's what you gotta do if you want a shot with me," she added with a smirk. "You could flirt with me until you're more blue in the face than me, I don't give a Raticate's ass. I want a man who knows his way around a Pokémon battle. Lead the way!" declared the Minun.

EpicSquirtle 09-02-2017 01:45 AM

In search of a private place to talk, Robin lead Millicent down the stairs into the basement, before entering the first room on her right. Inside was what appeared to be a games room.
There was two arcade machines in the corner of the room, as well as a TV and two stools to the right side.

"Umm, y-you can have a seat..if you want." Robin offered as she pulled forward the two black stools, before taking one of them for herself.

"I mean...you don't have to. I just thought it'd be nice to offer before I talk to you..." The young trainer explained.
No sooner had Robin left the room, did Cayenne appear in the living room.
"Hello Hello! Sorry for the wait!" The Torchic chirped as he approached the guests. "Your food will be here any moment! Today we're serving egg salad sandwiches! They even have bacon pieces inside, yummy!"

While Cayenne continued to talk about the food, Tessa reappeared in the room, carrying a platter much too big for the Cosplay Pikachu. On top of the platter rested eighteen small sandwiches.
As Tessa began to approach the table with her tray, it was clear to see she was struggling not to drop the entire thing.

But Cayenne seemed completely oblivious to Tessa's struggle, and instead began to glance around the room.

"That's odd...my trainer isn't here. And umm....we're serving twins?" The Torchic questioned, giving his head a slight tilt at the sight of Keith and Jack.

"I'm sorry, but would one of you mind helping Tessa lift that tray up on the table? Usually my trainer would do it...but she's out. Or wait...can you even understand me? Hopefully you can!" Cayenne chirped.
"It's good to know that I'm not the only one then." Hazel replied.
"I mean...it's not that I hate talking...it's just I'm not good at it. B-but I already said that..."
"O-oh umm...I-I see..." Voltaire stammered, clearly flustered at Anion's rather forward statement.
After a moment, the Emolga a shook his head, trying to regain his cool the best he could.
"Alright then, if a battle is what you want, then that's what you'll get." Voltaire smiled before leading the way downstairs.
After a short journey, Voltaire found himself in the battle room, the same room he'd been in with Meowth a few moments earlier.
"Pretty impressive, huh?" The Emolga asked, turning his attention to Anion.

"I'm assuming this is a battlefield worthy of a clash between us?"

Missingno. Master 09-02-2017 07:02 PM

As Millicent followed Robin, she glanced around, hoping to see Telpo. After all, Robin made it out of that other world safely, and so did Hazel, so it only made sense that Telpo did as well... right? Even so, every time she looked somewhere and did not see that Abra, she felt inexplicably uneasy, almost as though her mind was trying to give her subtle hints towards a conclusion that she outright refused to consider... she shook her head. Telpo was fine, he had to be, he was awesome like that. She subconsciously took hold of the smooth stone she wore around her neck with the hand that wasn't holding onto Willow- this had been a gift to her from Telpo back when they'd last seen each other, and she wore it everywhere she went now.

Even as Robin was stammering about how Millicent didn't have to sit down if she didn't actually want to, the Timburr took a seat. "Thank you," she said. "Robin, what... what is this about?" she asked, the slightest trace of fear in her voice. "Where's Telpo? H-he's around here, right?" Willow remained silent throughout this, but paid close attention to the conversation that was about to take place- many times in life she had consoled young Pokémon who had lost their parents, and she had a grim feeling that her skills at doing so were about to come into play before much longer...

Keith's rather morbid train of thought was derailed by the sudden arrival of Cayenne the Torchic. He'd gotten a glimpse of the Torchic when he first arrived, but now he thought to take out his Pokédex and point it at the Hoenn starter.

'Torchic, the Chick Pokémon. A Fire-type," said Keith's Pokédex. "Torchic has a place in its body where it stores its flame, keeping its body warm to the touch. Between this and its fluffy coat of down, hugging a Torchic is a very pleasant experience."

The Torchic seemed confused at the sight of both Keith and Jack, which got them exchanging grins- the Trainer and Ditto always liked to get reactions out of others by way of the latter's Transform making him look like the former.

The Torchic's request was incomprehensible to Keith- he could understand a couple different Pokémon languages, but Torchic language was not among them. Jack, on the other hand, being a Ditto, understood perfectly. "I'm on it," he responded, before Transforming himself into a Machop and hefting the tray onto the table, relieving Tessa of said burden. "There you go," Jack grinned. Then he turned back into Keith. "Hey, so, how'd I do there, by the way?" he asked. "Went off memory for that one."

"I think the tail was a little long, but even then, I'm not 100% sure," replied Keith. "I'd have to look it up to be sure. I think it's a safe bet you nailed this one, honestly."

"Oh, sweet," grinned Jack.

"Oh, and Tessa, nice to see you again," Keith added, addressing the Cosplay Pikachu. "Albus has actually evolved since you last saw him, he's a Kakuna now."

Aster nodded. "S-so, what do you like to do?" she asked Hazel, starting to feel slightly more at ease- this here was a Pokémon just as shy and unsure of this conversation as she was, and that knowledge seemed to somehow help her relax a little.

Anion grinned at how her blunt honesty got Voltaire all flustered. The Minun was not one to mince words or waste time being subtle, and if there was a chance that she and Voltaire could end up being a thing, she wanted him to know from day one what he'd be getting. She followed Voltaire down to the battle room, and gave a low whistle as she eyed the room. "Damn," she nodded. "Impressive is right." She then grinned at Voltaire's question. "Definitely worthy," she agreed. "So what the hell are we waiting for?" With that, she dashed out onto the battlefield and took her position at one end.

EpicSquirtle 09-04-2017 12:22 PM

After taking a seat, Millicent quickly asked what Robin had brought her here for. Or where Telpo was, for that matter. It was a fair question, Robin reasoned.
The Timburr had to have noticed that Hazel was around, but that Telpo was seemingly absent. Still, the question was enough to cause the young trainer to freeze up, before diverting her eyes from the Timburr in front of her.

"Well you see....I umm....actually wanted to talk to you, a-about Telpo." Robin replied.
"Millicent...I really didn't want to tell you this....but Telpo...he's gone."
As the words left her mouth, the Electric type specialist started to tear up, but quickly wiped her eyes with her hand.

"I-it's my fault...if I hadn't been so reckless...h-he might still be with us..."
Cayenne's eyes practically lit up as Jack transformed into a Machop, easily placing the tray of sandwiches on the table. The Ditto then transformed back into Keith, before asking how he did.
"You were amazing! I've never seen a human transform before!" Cayenne chirped.

"Uh, Cayenne....that's a Ditto. Umm...I think." Tessa spoke up.

"Huh, a Ditto? Like those pink blob things?" The Torchic questioned.
"Wow that's amazing! I've never seen one before! They look nothing like I'd imagined! I guess they aren't pink blobs after all!" Cayenne exclaimed as he began to bounce up and down in excitement.

Tessa let out a small sigh, and was about to correct her teammate once again, before Keith addressed her.

This was bad. So Keith recognized her as well? Or had Meowth tried to convince his trainer on his earlier theory? Tessa wasn't quite sure, but she knew she had to think of something, and fast!
The Cosplay Pikachu knew Keith wouldn't be able to understand her..but Meowth would probably translate, right?

"Oh umm...Albus? I really uh..don't know who you're talking about." Tessa said, tilting her head slightly.
Anion seemed rather impressed by the arena, but was quick to rush over to one end of the arena. It looked as if the Minun was eager to start the match.
Having no intentions of keeping her waiting, Voltaire hurried over to his side of the field.

"Alright then...I guess let's get this going, yeah? Then let the battle..begin!" Voltaire exclaimed, before leaping high into the air. The Emolga then started to glide towards Anion with an extremely Quick Attack.

Missingno. Master 09-04-2017 12:51 PM

Millicent noticed that Robin seemed reluctant to meet her gaze as the subject turned to Telpo... and then Robin revealed that the subject was to turn to Telpo in the first place... because he was gone.

"No!" Millicent gasped, tears coming to her own eyes as Robin told her the horrible truth. "N-no, it can't be, he... he can't be... g-g-gone..." she sniveled, even as she knew, in the back of her mind, that it did explain Telpo's absence, as well as, she realized, how Telpo was able to get them so close to the spirit world to begin with.

Oh, Millicent, came Willow's tearful voice, as the Timburr clutched her log for support, both emotional and physical, for she looked about ready to fall out of her seat. Robin... how did it happen? Willow asked.

Jack chuckled at Cayenne's excitable and entirely wrong assumptions, but before he could set the Torchic straight on the matter, the topic turned to Tessa, whom Keith recognized. And Tessa, unaware that there was no longer any need to keep things secret, feigned ignorance. Meowth rolled his eyes at this. "Tessa, ya ain't gotta pretend no more," said Meowth. "Robin already told Keith she used ta be Jake."

"She did," Jack confirmed. "Heard the whole thing. And Cayenne, right?" he added, now addressing the Torchic. "About us Ditto looking like pink blobs..." He melted back into his usual gelatinous form. "...We're really more of a purple, don't you think? Yeah, this is how I look by default, I just like to turn into a copy of my Trainer so we can talk to each other."

"Tessa, no offense, but even if Robin hadn't told me, I recognized you, and pretending you didn't know us wasn't gonna fool me," Keith chuckled. "Honestly, I'm just glad my friend's alright, y'know?"

Voltaire obliged Anion's desire to get things started, and launched into a Quick Attack. Anion, having no time to do much else, used Quick Attack as well, so they collided in the center of the battlefield. By no means did Anion intend to leave it at that, though, so she also went into a Growl attack to try and weaken Voltaire.
