Two Pokemon, One Cup - WIT Round 2: Ryuusei vs TerminatorTotodile

Welcome, trainers, to this rather..well, this rather murky and unpleasant swamp. I mean, seriously, it makes Dagobah look like a holiday resort. Here, one trainer shall move on to fame and glory, whilst the other falls by the wayside. Don't let it be you!

2 vs. 2 single
Swamp Arena
Return = KO
Slapstick
Equilevel
96 Hour DQ with one extension, Pokebowl Style

Quote:

Swamp (Outdoor): A thick bog with very sticky mud, wilted trees and very dense fog. It is hard to see and most Pokémon will not be able to see a metre in front of them.
Special Rules: Fog, Wild Pokémon (Tropical)
And so, now you have to PM me your squads of 6, your first pokemon and first round orders. Afterwards, with TT as the higher ranked trainer at the start of the atch, he will order first in Round 2. Let's get started!

Squirtleking 04-23-2009 05:35 PM

*Wakes out of comatose state* and, at long last, both orders are in, AND the ref has remembered to post! Sorry for the wait, both of you.

Yamanaka Ino (Ralts) [Female] {Level One}
Profile: N/A
Sig Move: N/A

"Hm... Go Ino! Calm Mind into Confusion!"
Quote:

Fahima: Level 2 Female Croconaw
Biography: Croconaw was hatched from an egg I found near a large poisonous lake, the poison from the lake had seeped deep into the egg and, thereby, into Croconaw's body. The large amounts of poison in Croconaw's body have given her a strange resistance to Poison type attacks.
Sig (Special Resistance): Croconaw takes 75% of the damage normally taken by all Poison type attacks.

Of course I'll be beginning with none other than Fahima the Croconaw.

Fahima my darling, show your opponent how menacing you can be. Roar to terrify them then give them a taste of what they're afraid of with a Mega Punch!
And so our two trainers send out their first pokemon; Ryuusei kicks things off by sending out Ino the Ralts, who promptly squeals and vanishes beneath the surface before bursting up, coughing and spluttering, climbing onto a grassy knoll over the steaming swamp. TT releases, predictably, Fahima the Croconaw who quite happily splashes into the swamp before climbing out opposite Ino. As what looks suspiciously like the black sea serpent thing which tried to eat R2D2 swims past, the match begins!

Ino tries to Calm her Mind in preparation for the battle to come, only to be startled out of her thoughts by an echoing Roar from Fahima, who leaps towards Ino, fist outstretched. Glaring, Ino forces thoughts of Confusion into Fahima's mind, making the Croconaw faceplant into the swamp. Fahima surfaces angrily, climbing back out...

Ino took no damage and used good energy, still fresh. Fahima is much the same, only with minor damage.

TT then Ryuusei

I apologize terribly for being so late, we had some issues with our internet provider, or rather, our internet provider has issues with another internet provider. >>;

Keep your opponent at bay with a Swagger into a Mud Slap.

TerminatorTotodile 05-15-2009 11:08 PM

Normally I'd give it a little while, but according to several people Kishu hasn't been on in a good while, so I'm going to have to DQ her... not gonna bother free rounding, as there's no point.

Ryuusei 05-16-2009 12:26 AM

Um.. What the fuck I posted in TA saying I had exams and would be busy for quite a long time and you took about three weeks to post your orders so you shouldn't be the one talking about DQing people here. My exams ended yesterday so of course I haven't been on considering I had two weeks of exams.

"Smack him with Confusion before he can do any Swaggering at all. Mud Slap? Confuse Ray him but if he's confused already from Confusion, Future Sight."

Muyotwo 05-16-2009 12:36 AM

Ruling with Kishu, in case you were going to ask.

TerminatorTotodile 05-16-2009 12:38 PM

...sorry, I must have looked right at the post and not noticed when I was looking for it...and a few people said you were MIA...

I'm actually glad you're not gone though, matches not finishing makes small children cry.

Squirtleking 05-19-2009 05:46 PM

*Snore...* Hmm, wha - huh? You mean they actually posted and I slept through it? It's the next century already? Oh.

Ahem. Fahima begins to Swagger around, trying to make herself look big and impressive, but another Confusion from Ino tips her onto her rear end, angering the Croconaw but not confusing her.

Seeing that Fahima has not been confused, Ino prepares a Confuse Ray, only to have Mud Slapped across her face as Fahima grabs a chunk of goo from the swamp and chucks it at her. Briefly blinded by the attack, Ino forgets the Confuse Ray as the round ends...

Another boring round sees not much change from last round, both pokemon now with minor damage and slightly less energy, but that's it. Kishu to go then TT

Ryuusei 05-21-2009 07:41 AM

"Hm... Let's see, Teleport away into a safe location where she can't reach you then try to get the mud off you. If she manages to reach you, forget trying to get the mud off you and slam her backwards with a Psychic Wave!"

TerminatorTotodile 05-21-2009 09:35 PM

Let's get mean. Spite twice after the Teleport.

Squirtleking 06-04-2009 05:38 PM

Apologies to both of you for me taking so long, things have been really hectic lately!

Ino Teleports to a grassy spot further away from Fahima, and begins to try and get the mud off of her. However, Fahima decides to Spite Ino for running away, increasing the energy usage of the Teleport. Not only this, but Fahima continues the Spite, greatly increasing the amount of energy which Ino has just used.

Neither pokemon took any damage, but Ino has sagged a little, her energy nearing the midway mark, but not quite there yet. Fahima has more energy at this point.

TT then Kishu

TerminatorTotodile 06-09-2009 02:42 PM

Quickly Spite again.

Squirtleking 06-20-2009 06:29 PM

With this going on forever, feel free to call DQ TT, if you want.

Ryuusei 06-21-2009 12:27 AM

"Taunt that little sucker that oughta teach her."

Squirtleking 06-29-2009 06:20 AM

The ref wakes once again from his coma...so sorry everyone, I know I've dropped the ball on this.

Fahima attempts to drain more of Ino's energy (though how this would work I'm not entirely sure, since it's now been a while since Ino actually used an attack), but Ino starts Taunting her opponent, accusing Fahima of cowardice and hanging back. Roaring in anger, Fahima forgets about draining energy; she wants to KILL that pesky Ralts!

No wonder I forgot this - pretty much no change on either side in health/energy. Fahima now only wants to attack directly.

Kishu Arashi then TT

TerminatorTotodile 07-01-2009 03:28 PM

Ino is nowhere near Fahima, so how did Taunt work?

Squirtleking 07-02-2009 04:49 AM

The two pokemon are still close enough that they can see what the other is doing, and Fahima's intelligent enough to get the gist of what's being shouted at her. If they were "nowhere near each other", then all those Spites would probably have achieved nothing anyway, since the range would have been too great.

Ryuusei 07-05-2009 02:20 AM

"Toss him into the sticky mud with Psychic. Then Sing him a lullaby."

TerminatorTotodile 07-08-2009 11:11 PM

Uproar to throw her off, then Fury Cutter.

Ryuusei 09-16-2009 07:43 AM

so like wtf is going on.

Chalis 04-09-2017 10:21 PM

bump for sk

Crys 04-09-2017 10:42 PM

Snorby 04-11-2017 07:02 AM
