If you have any questions, feel free to ask me! I don't bite! Unless you're made of cake or tofu. Check the Move Errata and the website if you need to recall how moves work!

Prince, if you may!

Prince 04-13-2015 11:47 PM

Thanks for picking this up! Good luck Kayla, though I doubt you need it. :P

Squad:

Fei Xing - Lv 1 Female Mienfoo
Hidden Power: Poison

Gordon - Lv 1 Male Growlithe
Hidden Power: Grass

Sonika - Lv 1 Female Noibat
Hidden Power: Steel

Mitsuru - Lv 1 Male Ralts
Hidden Power: Dark

Jeremy - Lv 1 Male Mareep
Hidden Power: Ice
Signature Training: "Radiance"
Attacks which include light or beams of energy (namely Flash, Light Screen, Charge Beam, and Signal Beam), are 10% more effective, and require 10% less energy to execute. He can also use Flash Cannon (without the boosts his natural attacks receive), and has enough Steel energy to use it twice per battle.

Prinz - Lv 2 *shiny* Male Umbreon
Hidden Power: Flying
Signature Training: "Dancing the Night Away"
Lessons with the Kimono Girls of Ecruteak have taught him the grace and skill to execute certain dance moves in battle. He now knows the moves Teeter Dance, Entrainment, and Quiver Dance. Quiver Dance is the most taxing on his small body, using 1.2x the normal amount of energy, and he can only use it once per battle. Additionally, due to his strict training of maintaining grace and serenity, he refuses to use moves that are reckless or unsightly. He can no longer use the moves Double Edge, Frustration, Flail, and Snore.

I really need to submit more sigs.

KAYLAF0X 04-14-2015 12:13 AM

Hope I can make it challenging and fun!! ^_^

Yin, Level 1 Male Nincada

Solaire, Level 1 Solrock

Nefurhotep, Level 1 Male Furfrou

Fortissimo, Level 1 Male Chatot

Mr. Clean, Level 1 Rotom-Wash

Jupiter, Level 2 Male Castform
Hidden Power: Ground
Spoiler: show

Signature Move:
Special Technique: "Sulfuric Storm" (Water/Poison)

Jupiter chants ominously to the sky to make it rain and using decent energy. Red clouds will form overhead and begin to drop a very acidic rain upon the battlefield. The acidic rain drops will deal light damage per round to any non-poison type Pokémon on the field, as well as generally stinging with a burning sensation and possibly making it harder to concentrate.

Jupiter, being the Weather pokemon, will transform into his Rain Form(but colored violet) and he gains Poison/Water typing during the duration of the Acid rain. All of his water attacks also gain the Poison typing and will have a 5% chance of inflicting poison upon his foes. They will be super effective against Fairy and Fire and be resisted by Ghost, Water, Poison and Dragon.
Any poison type Pokémon will be more at ease in these conditions and both Poison and Water attacks will deal 10% more damage. Fire and Fairy attacks will deal 10% less damage.

Jupiter can only use this move once per battle, and after five rounds, it will turn into normal rain for 5 more rounds(since Castform's weather is usually very strong and lasts for 10 rounds anyways.)

Let's go with Mr. Clean!

Prince 04-14-2015 04:18 PM

"Fei Xing, released by the jungle gym. Calm Mind. If he tries any status-y things, Taunt him out of it. Otherwise, charge in with a Force Palm!"

KAYLAF0X 04-14-2015 05:20 PM

Alright, Mr. Clean, since he's not going for any other move except Status ones... Substitute and Volt Switch to Solaire.

KamenAeons 04-21-2015 07:05 AM

Round 1: Why does every Mienfoo and Mienshao have a name like that?

Wow did I really miss this? Goddammit me, I'm so sorry. Anyhoo, with that question, don't answer it.

After a long period of time where the ref is waiting for the recess bell to ring, Prince casts out a Poke Ball to bring out Fei Xing! Her stance in good form today, Kayla responds with a Rotom who has taken over a washing machine, Mr. Clean! A relatively even match-up it seems.

Clearing her mind, Fei Xing focuses only on Mr. Clean and the playground, blocking out the quiet chatter from the distant classrooms! Enjoying the special attack boost, she watches as the Rotom-Wash does... nothing? Unknown to the Mienfoo, Mr. Clean has set up a doppelgänger of himself to keep himself clean using a portion of his own stamina! Even so, Fei Xing rushes forward, palm outstretched, to deliver a forceful strike on the washing machine! Usually gets those broken ones working in a jiffy! Luckily, Mr. Clean is safe for the time being, letting loose a concentrated pulse of electricity into the Mienfoo as he makes a quick retreat into his Poke Ball! In his place rises the sun, Solaire!

(My Solrock's already taking a liking to that, huh.)

Some damage puts Fei Xing on the backburner for now, especially when Solaire has Mr. Clean's gift of a weakened Substitute at its side! Who shall reign supreme in this courtyard duel with Fei Xing's boost?!

KAYLAF0X 04-21-2015 12:04 PM

Let's trap them in a Fire Spin followed up with a Psyshock.

Prince 04-21-2015 08:09 PM

Because oriental-y Pokemon, oriental-y names? Fits better than Artemis

Well if we want type spam so bad then...

"U-Turn to Prinz."

KamenAeons 04-23-2015 12:03 PM

Round 2: Time for cooking class!

With Solaire out on the field now, the heat in this playground's starting to rise! Maybe it's just the little bonfire in the corner of the playground where kids are cooking sweet potatoes in a pile of fallen maple leaves though. Rotating rapidly, the Solrock sends a whipping flame wrapping around Fei Xing, burning up the concrete as the spiral begins to rise as high as the school building itself! Needing to break out of this heat though, Fei Xing leaps out of the flames, body getting licked by the flames as she rushes towards the sun cloaked in a pale green aura! Seguing into a spin kick, she connects her foot with Solaire as it begins to summon forth some waves of physical psychokinetic power! Some of the purple pulses clip the Mienfoo for some nasty damage before her body vanishes back into its Poke Ball, being replaced with the artist formerly named Prince, now Prinz! Kush will be so proud to see someone in the lower levels using an Umbreon. Prinz on the other hand isn't too pleased to see that what Fei Xing kicked wasn't Solaire's true form though...

Fei Xing didn't escape unscathed, taking some painful hits as she left the field. Bug is at half tanks. Solaire has plenty of flames to use, not taking any damage thanks to Mr. Clean's gift. Prinz has the Calm Mind boost from Fei Xing, although that's going soon.

Prince 04-23-2015 09:03 PM

"Double Team, spreading out the clones as erratically as you can. Then fire a Dark Pulse!"

KAYLAF0X 04-24-2015 01:06 AM

Set up a light screen and then wait after his dark pulse before using a Heat Wave to get rid of all the clones!

KamenAeons 04-29-2015 01:55 AM

Round 3: Sorry

Got hit with a loss of motivation. It was not fun.

As Prinz bounds to and fro all across the concrete playground, afterimages of the Umbreon begin circulating around the stone sun! Instead of the solo Umbreon, Solaire has to deal with four Dark types now! However, the Solrock came prepared for this situation, having cast a pane of light to mitigate the effects of special attacks! Which sure enough comes when Prinz fires a churning mass of darkness towards the meteorite! As the screen shudders from the blast, it begins to crack at the point of impact but remains strong! With a low groan, Solaire sets aside the screen and spins rapidly, a swath of superheated air rushing forth and bursting three of the Umbreon, and unfortunately for Prinz, himself! Hissing in pain, Prinz gingerly checks his fur for any burns, for which he does not.

Solaire still has its Light Screen active, and is otherwise untouched. Could consider a break. That aside, Fire is barely enough to fuel a Flamethrower. Prinz took some more damage this round, but can easily make up for this round.

KAYLAF0X 04-29-2015 10:43 AM

Let's go for a Body Slam to pin your opponent down. If successful, use Rest right on top of them.

Prince 05-05-2015 06:21 AM

Right, sorry for the delay. Thanks for waiting. ・ω・

"Counter his slam with a Foul Play. Then stagger him with a close range Dark Pulse."

KamenAeons 05-06-2015 10:17 AM

Round 4: This is why you don't try to play with a sun, kids.

Solaire, in his eternal radiance, rises to the skies, ready to move into position and pretty much do what meteors do. Crash. Speeding towards the Umbreon with the power of gravity on its side, the Solrock looms closer and closer to the ground, almost ready to break the playground itself! Prinz however, won't let himself be crushed by something like this, attempting to deliver an equally powerful force with his head! However, this is a terrible idea, since how do you match the force of a METEORITE COMING FROM STRAIGHT ABOVE YOU WITH GRAVITY ON THEIR SIDE? Sure, some damage is dealt, but Prinz is now anchored down by Solaire, slammed down onto the ground with his legs splayed and his belly down! There is no way that Umbreon is going to be firing anything out of his mouth in that position. And... Solaire goes to sleep. Splendid.

Solaire's napping right now and will probably be refreshed once woken up, with an Umbreon cushion to keep itself comfortable. Took a fair chunk of damage, but maintains a fairly good lead on Prinz! Prinz otherwise, is fairly refreshed. By the way, the Light Screen is actually unharmed during this round because it was out of the way when SLAMMIN'

Prince 05-08-2015 07:26 AM

Solrock is that heavy? *checks site* Well daamn. Let's see then...

"Dig to escape and strike from the side. If he tries coming in close again, counter with Iron Tail, otherwise see if you can't actually land a Dark Pulse this time."

A 5AM post that I'll probably regret, tally-ho!

KAYLAF0X 05-08-2015 10:38 AM

Oh, man, wake up, Solaire! You have a pokemon under you trying to dig their way out!

When you wake up, use Earth Power while gaining a little bit of distance from your foe. Then wait until after their Dark Pulse to fire off a Signal Beam.

You guys, not so much. I will remind you that I cannot ref until Monday because assignments are the devil.

Prince 05-09-2015 10:15 PM

Iz all gud. xD No worries.

KamenAeons 05-14-2015 08:04 PM

Round 5: SPLAT

Pinned underneath the pretty damn heavy Solrock, who's decided to take a nap on top of him too, Prinz claws madly at the concrete ground, trying to dig himself out of this problem! However, 1) the ground is concrete, and 2) digging is really hard when there's a giant sun on your back and your front legs are sort of splayed out. He's still stuck. The kids watch on in worry as the Umbreon flails about underneath Solaire, until the rock stirs, lifting off the Dark Eeveelution as it hovers away! And then it plummets to the ground once more, the playground shuddering with sparks of beige energy on impact! Prinz only manages to stagger to his feet before being engulfed in a column of the earth's might, his body stinging from the strikes from above and below in the last two rounds! Strengthening his resolve, the quadruped fills his maw with a familiar orb, which erupts in swirls of darkness that shatter the shield aiding Solaire! The Solrock responds in kind, a vibrant beam of light shining forth and forcing Prinz to stagger backwards in pain, towards the play equipment!

Prinz has fallen past the midpoint of health, but is fresher in comparison. Solaire's good for two, but with no more screen.

Please know that I can't ref for you guys until next week again, because assignments continue to plague me.

KAYLAF0X 05-14-2015 11:22 PM

Alright, roll around until you build up some speed and plow against your opponent with a Rollout!

Prince 05-17-2015 12:57 AM

Would have posted earlier today, but wifi cut out sooner than expected while I was heading out on a family trip. Sorry.

"Get some height on that nearby playground equipment as you launch another Dark Pulse. Then use that height advantage to jump over him as he comes in, smacking him with an Iron Tail as you do."

Man I hope that order works, I'm tired so I probably goof'd.

KAYLAF0X 05-31-2015 06:36 PM

Bump for KA!

KamenAeons 05-31-2015 07:00 PM

So sorry! I still have assessments going on, and sort of did mention that I'll be holding off on ASB for the duration of them!

KamenAeons 06-07-2015 05:40 PM

Round 6: Funny to think this is still recess.

Plummeting to the ground once more, Solaire gets rolling, its spokes jamming into the concrete with a clunky crash as it picks up speed! Prinz recognises the danger, leaping up the slide and onto the raised platform, hoping to evade the Solrock's strike! Careful not to damage the school equipment, Solaire finds itself unable to strike yet, continuing to circle in such a way like a Sharpedo around its prey! Prinz's maw opens, another dark orb frothing to life before firing, Solaire screaming in pain but powering on with the roll!

Prinz is on some higher ground right now, but didn't execute the order to Iron Tail namely because Solaire didn't charge in. School equipment is expensive, and schools don't get much funding now, so Solaire didn't charge in to break it all. They're fresh at least, albeit unintentionally. Solaire is still rolling around, but it'll be a while before it can reach high speeds. Prinz remains near the midpoint, while Solaire took a fair chunk of damage.
